9/7/24, 48 degrees out in the morning...burrrrBreakfast at Bringer Inn with Faith Riders, Bikes on the Bricks

It was a cool 48 degrees out when we got up this morning....Fireplace took the chill off.
We rode our motorcycle and met Faith Riders at Bringer Inn for breakfast.  Lew, Wes, Don and Jerry

This is the grill they sent us to replace the one that melted.  It is so nice and the grates are much heavier than the grates that melted.  This is their top of the line.  It came with a stand too.

Revhyn was so tired he fell asleep when Vikki left the room for a minute.

We got up and it was cold in the house, so I started the electric fireplace.  It took the chill off pretty quickly.  We got ready and got all of our layers on and jackets, then left and headed to the Bringer Inn.  We had a great breakfast with Faith Riders, then got on our motorcycles and left for Flint on the back roads.  With all of my layer and my heated seats, I stayed nice and warm.  We got to the Harley Dealer and parked where they wanted those who were blocking intersections to park.  We walked around the Dealership and looked at bikes and things for a while, then went outside because Elaine from our Faith Rider Chapter was going to do the bike blessing.  The prayer she prayed and the things she shared about Jesus were amazing.  She did such a great job.  Jesus was definitely glorified.

We blockers went to where our bikes were parked and listened to the instructions from our friend Jim and another person.  We have blocked for many years, but it is always good to get a refresher.  We lined up and left after that.  It was a fifty mile long parade route with many motorcycles and lots of people outside cheering for us as we traveled.  When we had gone about 40 miles, we came to the intersection they wanted us to block while the parade went through.  Bill videoed the bikes as they passed by.  When we saw the Police car and the ambulance with their flashers going, we knew we had to get back in line ahead of them.
It was a very nice and a very organized ride.  We ended up in town at Bikes on the Bricks.
We walked around and found the CMA booth.  Debbie and Paul were covering it, so Gayla and Wes received them so they could walk around.  Bill and I went and got Koegel Hotdogs and ate, then we walked around some more. We went and relieve Wes and Gayla after that o they could go eat.  We enjoyed talking to people, giving Bibles to those who wanted them and giving people rag tracks...microfiber cloths to wipe their bikes down with at track inside.
There were two other booths with people sharing the Gospel.  I folded the microfiber cloths with the track inside when we got low.  Debbie and Paul, and Wes and Gayla came back to the booth.  We hung out for a while, then walked around one last time and then left for home.  We were going to stop for ice cream on the way home, but I told Bill on the way home that we could just have ice cream with bananas when we got home.  I play my worship music when we ride.

We got home, read our Bibles, I did my hand exercises, then we took naps and slept til 9.  Then we woke up and I made banana splits for us.  Yum!  We stayed up til almost midnight.

Peyton helped decorate their cake
The chair cover didn’t fit Vikki’s new chairs, so Peyton found that it worked for a nice birthday hat lol
The kids opening gifts

Peyton wearing her new Squishmallow slippers

Isaac got some nice new headphones
Peyton with her back pack Kenzie made, sweatshirt her mom and dad got her, album Rody got her and slippers we got her.  She was a very happy girl

I fed Rehvyn his bottle and he started closing his eyes.  At the end he was almost asleep, so Vikki put him in the swing.  He went to sleep fast and slept for a good hour at least.
Isaac played the piano for Aunt Ann, Vershon and all of us.  He played so well
Vikki’s bird flew over and landed on my leg to watch a video of another bird.  So Cool!

Bill went to meet Ross for Breakfast.  I did laundry and then vacuumed the carpet.  Then I shampooed the upstairs hallway and the living room.  Bill got home and wanted to go to Frankenmuth to pick out a Christmas tree.  I finished quickly and then we left.  We stopped in Bridgeport at the Hillcrest Bakery and got our favorite donuts, YUM YUMS.  Then we went to Frankenmuth and got coffees at Tim Horton’s.  We sat and ate our donuts and drank our coffee, then left to go to Bronner’s.  We looked at lots of trees and narrowed it down to two.  I liked one with lights on it like Kimmy’s, but Bill was leaning to the one with the different lights like the old style.  We couldn’t really decide, but finally were liking the one with the lights I liked.  We FaceTimed Kimmy and she didn’t answer, so we FaceTimed Melissa.  She liked the one we did the best.  Then Kimmy FaceTimed us back and she liked that one too.  So that’s the one we are getting.  We drove by Bronner’s where they are building the World’s largest waterpark.  It is something to see.  We went to visit our nephew, Matthew after that.  We had such a nice visit.  We shared our favorite Christian songs and he shared his.  He is really growing in his faith.  Now he is going to start going to Bible College.  We got to see Debbie’s new furniture while we were there.  It is really pretty.
We headed home, and I made burgers on the electric grill.  It worked great again.  I really like using it.  It works great!  We ate quickly, then left for Vikki and Rody’s.  Isaac came out to greet us and carried a gift bag in.  I sure was happy when I walked in and Rehvyn was there.  Papa grabbed him right away and after he had him for a little bit, I took my turn.  What a sweet baby.  He is so funny when he is in the walker.  He almost runs across the room and then comes back again.  Rody’s Aunt Ann and Vershon came to the party too.  It was so nice to see them.  We sang Happy Birthday to the kids, then they blew out their candles, and we all enjoyed cake and ice cream.  Then the kids opened their cards and gifts.
It was fun watching them and seeing them excited.  Version and his mom left, and so did Kenzie.  Vikki and I went out and sat in the sun porch.  Her bird flew out of its cage and landed on her by her phone to watch another bird.  I decided to try it and he flew to my leg and sat there watching the other bird on the phone,  He is a really nice bird.

We left and headed home.  We read our Bibles and then I worked on my blog.  Have to go to bed early tonight because we have to leave at 7:45 in the morning to go to breakfast at Bringer Inn and them to Bikes on the Bricks.

Thursday, 9/5/24, Happy Birthday Bruce! We love you! I filled the Bird feeders, took Bill to the pain Clinic for injection s in his neck,

Kit Kat is happy to have me home
Beautiful mums that Kimmy started from seeds last year.  Thank you Kimmy!  I am enjoying them so much.

Texted Bruce to tell him Happy Birthday.  I wasn’t sure if he was at work or working at home, so didn’t call him.  I did my hand exercises, then made coffee, and read my Bible.
Took the towels, and other laundry I washed from the camper and put it back in the camper.

At 1:15 we left to go to Bill’s appointment at the pain clinic.  He had to have an injection in his neck.  I prayed for him before he went in.  Trusting God for good results again.
I went to Hallmark and picked up Birthday cards for Bruce, Peyton and Isaac.  Found such nice cards for each of them.  Left and went back to pick up Bill.  I waited in the waiting room for a while before he got done.  He needs a driver when he has this done, so I was his driver.  We went to Sam’s Club and walked around and picked up some things we needed.  After we were done, I ordered a pizza combo for lunch.  Two huge pieces of pizza and a huge fountain drink for $2.50.  Bill didn’t want anything there, so I took mine home.  He was in the driver’s seat like he was going to drive and said he could, but I made him let me drive.  Making him wait the 24 hours they say to wait.  He obliged and got out and let me get in the driver’s seat.  I ate when we got home, then made scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, bacon and toast for him, which he was happy with.

I went over to take Bruce’s card to him.  Visited for a while, then he and Max left, and I visited with Evan, Jack and Melissa.  Evan showed me all of his amazing Lego sets, and Jack showed me the work he’s done on the bike he is fixing up.  Sure do love them.

Sat on the deck for a while and talked to Vikki when I got home.  Bill had a zoom meeting for 1 1/2 hours with our National Evangelist and all of the State Coordinators in the 9 states in our region.  They are all amazing men of God who lead well.  They discussed the State Rally’s in each state and then all had prayer together and lifted up all the people mentioned who needed prayer.

I finally caught up on my blogs.  Yay!

Wed, 9/4/24, Read my Bible, took a shower, went to therapy, got discharged today Yay! Met Bill at theater after therapy and saw the Forge ..excellent movie, Vikki came over, Rody went to Sue’s too make a video from her pictures for the memorial service for Charlie, worked on blogs

Kit Kat watching Vikki and I on the swing as we talked

Vikki came over after she dropped the kids off at church.  Bill was mowing the grass and I was sitting on the deck.  She came and sat with me and visited.  Bill got done and came out too.
We stayed out there til 9:00.  So nice and relaxing and a great temperature tonight.  Vikki left to go get the kids and said they made Isaac a team leader for the youth.  He was doing a great job at it when she picked him up.  I am so proud of him!
My hand today.  I got discharged from therapy and she said I’m doing phenomenal again today.  Yay!  Thank You Jesus!
My hand before surgery

Got up and did my hand exercises right away.  We read our Bibles and listened to worship music.  I walked around outside and saw my bubbler for the fish pond had the tube disconnected.  I connected it and then got some fish food and fed the fish.  They were all doing good and were hungry.

Went to therapy at 2.  She took measurements in my hand and said most every one was normal and the strength ones were a little off but will improve as I use my hand.  She was impressed that I can lift a 24 pack of water bottles and a 36 pack of pop cans.  She discharged me and gave me a big hug and told me to email her even if it’s a while down the road if I need her to answer any questions.  She was so sweet.  I gave her a really good review.  We had talked about the Lord and she told me she liked being non denominational and having a relationship with Jesus and following the Bible.  I told her I was going to meet Bill after my appointment at the Goodrich Emagine Theatre to watch “The Forge”, A Hendrick Brothers Movie.  We got done 10 minutes early, so I got to the movie theater right on time.  Bill was inside waiting for me.  We both thought it was a great movie.  I needed tissues a few times.

After the movie, we went to Culver’s and got kids hamburger meals.  After we ate those,  Bill went up and got our free Sundae Scoops.  Yum!  We came home and Bill started mowing the grass.  I moved the live trap and also moved our Trump sign to the porch so he wouldn’t have to stop and do it while he was mowing.  Vikki called and talked for a while.  She was dropping Peyton and Isaac off at out church for youth group.  I told her she should stop over and she said she was going to.  We sat on the swing on the deck and listened to a new Hillsong worship album.  Bill finished mowing the grass and came and sat on the deck with us.  Vikki’s alarm went off, so she had to leave and go pick up the kids.  Bill and I sat out until after dark, then came in the house.  I worked on getting more blogs done to catch up.
