Adam looking very tan.  I compared this picture to the picture I took the first day he was here and there sure is a big difference.

Jack when he came to visit

Melissa and I saw some wood people left at a campsite four down from ours. We were getting the boys to help.  Evan loaded Eli up with lots of wood, then he acted like his big log was the heaviest.  Good acting Evan!  Melissa took the pictures.

Adam relaxing in his bed.  He was cold when he came in from swimming because he said the indoor pool was cold

I went to a couple of stores in the morning before everyone got up.  When I got back, Melissa and Evan were over visiting.  We sat outside and I read Proverbs 3 to Adam and Evan and of course to me.  It rained, so Melissa and I watched the Movie the Forge.Adam went for his walk and then his swim.  Kimmy and Eli came up.  They got here a little late because they waited for Eli’s new tent to come so he could try it out here tonight.  Kimmy and him set it up.  It was an easy set up and the tent is really nice.  We had roast, carrots and potatoes for lunch that I made in the crockpot.  Kimmy had to leave early because Jared was getting out of work early so they could leave to go to Jared’s parents in Indiana.  Eli and Adam are staying with me at the campground.  Yay!  I called Marie and talked to her and she was doing great. She got the drain tube out of her head, and also the catheter out.  She had a CAT scan on her head and even got to witness to the kid who took her to have it.  I am so happy to have her doing so great.

Later on, Bruce, Max, and Vader came up for the day.  Bruce said it rained the whole way up here.   We were happy we didn’t get a storm, but just a nice rain.  Melissa and I watched the Forge.  Max and Bruce came in after a wet walk and visited with us.  Eli came in next and saw the movie and said that’s my favorite movie.  Then Evan came in and said, I love that movie.  They watched it at my house the last time they stayed with me.  Bill came up and surprised me.  I was so happy to see him.  Melissa, Adam and I played dice.  Adam won.

In the evening, Bill, Adam and I played 3-13.  Gee, I couldn’t get bad cards if I tried.  Those poor guys.  I beat them bad.
It even calls for a picture...Nana, Bill, Adam’s scores

Adam and I watched some Lucy’s after that and Bill went to bed.  Adam went to bed next.  I had to make banana cream pudding dessert to take to our Faith Rider’s picnic tomorrow.  I went to bed at 12:15.

Adam ate a third chicken salad sandwich so when it was dinner time, he still wasn’t hungry.
Melissa and I took a selfie when the boys were swimming
Melissa and Evan..we had a nice time visiting and making S’mores

Evan and Adam in the outdoor pool

We slept in.  I got up a little after 9 and went outside to set up chairs and empty the Clam and open up the shaded sides.  Adam got up at 10.  He is catching up on his sleep, sleeping very comfortable in the bed here and with his pillow I gave him that he loves.
When he got up, we ate our yummy blueberry muffins he brought yesterday when he came back.  We went for a swim at the Club House after that.  Not many in the pool.  We got our exercise, the came back to the camper and ate chicken salad sandwiches for lunch.  I called Roy and he let me talk to Marie.  I was so happy to hear her sounding so good.  She said it was a rough night with them doing lots to her after her surgery.  She just slept on and off.  She couldn’t talk at first after having the breathing tube, but sounded really good when I talked to her.  She sure is a miracle.  We thanked God together.
Adam and I read Chapter 2 of Proverbs.  Such great Words and Wisdom from the Lord.  We watched some of his I Love Lucy videos, then he went outside.

I went outside after finishing ordering Peyton’s Birthday gifts from Amazon Prime.  They are all on sale until tomorrow.  She got some great prices.  She’s a wise shopper for a 13 year old.

Melissa, Bruce, Max, Jack and Evan got here.  Melissa, Max and Evan came in the camper to cool down.  Bruce and Jack parked their camper and got things set up.  Jack came over afterwards.  He is taking care of Connor’s rabbits while he is on vacation, so Bruce took Jack back and will be back up tomorrow.

At dinner time, I made chicken strips on the grill, mashed potatoes, and corn and Melissa and Evan ate with me.  Adam was still too full.  Melissa and I split a blueberry muffin too.

Melissa and I went and sat by the pool while Adam and Evan swam and went in the hot tub.  Evan had to get out at 9 for the adult swim.  Adam stayed and was the only one again.
Sure isn’t like it used to be.  Adam went for a few walks today too.  Melissa, Evan and I went for a walk around the campground.  It is so much fun having them here.

Adam built a campfire for us before he went swimming.  When we got back, Melissa, Evan and I sat around the fire.  When it was good for roasting marshmallows, we made S’mores.  Evan had 2 and Melissa and I each had one.  Adam was still too full so didn’t want S’mores either.
When we came in the house, Adam made himself a turkey and cheese sandwich.  Glad he ate something again.  Adam, Melissa and I played a game of dice.  Adam really was throwing good high ones.  He got to where he just needed 50.  I needed 2000 and so did Melissa.  I threw 1000, and then she threw 1000.  I got to where I needed 100 points.  We had been telling Adam how hard it was to get just 50 points and teasing him.  Well I through 100 and he never did get his 50.  I kind of felt bad for him, but then not really.  We sure had lots of laughs.

Wed., July 9, 2025, Swam with Adam, went home to see Marie before her surgery, Spent the day sitting with Roy, Surgery was a success, came back to the campground

Adam slept really good and didn’t get up until 10
We went for our morning swim so I took this picture
I bought a yummy Covenant Club Sandwich for Roy and I.  It was the best.  He wanted to buy mine, but I told him I wasn’t home to bring a meal, so I would treat him.  He is such a sweet person and reminds me a lot of my dad.

I got up and went outside and read my Bible.  God put it on my heart to read Proverbs and that I should encourage the girls to read Proverbs for the kids since it teaches how to have the fear of the Lord, get wisdom, understanding and discernment.  I ended up reading 4 chapters and was so blessed.  I sent it to Stacie too and she was happy I did.

When Adam got up, we ate breakfast together, than I read Proverbs 1 to him, and talked to him about it some.  We decided to go swimming after that.  He got ready and told me which pool he was going to and then I finished what I had to do and went to the pool and joined him.  It looked like it was going to rain, so I came back quick and put the awnings in.  I also put Adam’s clothes in the clam and zipped up the outside changing room in case it stormed.

I went back and we swam about an hour, then more kids came, so I got out and sat on a lounge chair.  Adam went in the hot tub for a while and was the only one in it.  I’m not doing hot tubs any more because my eczema is completely cleared up and I never want to have that again.  One of the things recommended when I had it was not to shower or bathe in hot water.

We came back to the camper and I made chicken salad sandwiches.  Adam was only going to have one, but then said they were so good he was going to have another.  I was so happy he liked them.  We got ready for him to go home and me to go to the hospital to see Marie and Roy.  He came and gave me a hug and left first.  I left and Bill called me when I had gone about 6 miles and told me it was lightening out there and there was a storm coming.  I told him it had already rained up here for about 15 minutes and was done.  I got past the Pinconing exit, and the traffic was backed up to a standstill.  It started moving slowly.  I got in the right lane because I knew it wasn’t far to the Linwood exit.  It was still moving very slowly, so I got off at the exit and went a two miles out of my way, but could move right along. I could see lots of dark rain clouds to the right a ways ahead of me on the expressway.  I was praying for God to help me miss the storm.  When I was driving on the country roads, it would be dark, then I needed to turn and it would be light,  It kept going that way all the way to the hospital.  When I got there, it looked like half the parking lot was where it could storm any minute and the other part where I was parked was clear.  I was sure happy to go into the hospital and be dry, and I sure was thanking the Lord.

I got up to Marie’s room and the door was closed so I knocked and the nurse let me in.  They were getting her ready for surgery.  Roy had gone down to the lounge.  When they finished, I talked to Marie.  I was so happy I could see her before her surgery.  Roy came in the room and pulled a chair up for me to sit in.  We had a nice visit and she was peaceful and trusting God.  They came in and did some more preparations.  When they told us we could back in and tell her goodbye, Roy gave her a kiss, I held her hand and told her bye and I would see her soon.  The let us go to the Pre Op with her and sit by her after that.  We met the Anesthesiologist, some nurses and others who know our friend Brittany from church.  After they were done, Roy and I said goodbye again and went to the Lobby.  Surgery was supposed to start at 4, but didn’t start until 5.  Surgery was finished at 7.  Originally they said it would take 4 hours, so 2 hours was amazing.  I was in the bathroom, and someone came in and told me the doctor wanted to talk to me.  Roy had sent them in.  I met the doctor and he shook my hand.  Yikes, it was still wet as I didn’t dry it well because I was hurrying to get out there.  He told Roy and I that the surgery went well and Marie did amazing.  He said there’s a drain in the top of her head and also that the incision to take the bone out in order to work was 3 inches long.   He also said it would probably take her longer to wake up in recovery because of her age.  I had to leave to get back up north, so was going to leave.  Roy decided that he should go home since he had been there all day and Marie would be going to ICU and be pretty out of it.  He’s 90 so I told him I thought that’s what Marie would want him to do.  The lady at the desk said they would call him if there was anything that came up.  I was walking him to his car in the parking lot when I noticed a man standing next to my car who yelled something I couldn’t make out.  Roy was parked way down from me, so he gave me a ride to my car.  By the time we got there, the man and his car were gone.

I let Adam know I was going back up to the camper, so he would know he could leave and come back up north.  When he got up here, he went to the adult swim because he had been hot all day.  He was the only one there.  He came back and we had M & M’s and Cashews and played 3-13.  He beat me again.

I talked to Melissa and Bruce might pull the camper up tomorrow and set it up, then Melissa and the boys will come up on Friday.

Tuesday, 7/8/25, made a big breakfast, Vikki, Peyton and Isaac left, Adam and I swam for 2 hours, then played dice, he went swimming at the pond, I took garbage down and then checked on him, we went to A&W to eat, He went swimming again at the outdoor pool

I made eggs, fried potatoes, and sausage and Vikki made the toast for breakfast this morning.
Adam relaxing after he got up.  He said he’s slept great since I gave him a pillow that he loves.

The boys and the bunnies! So cute!

I made eggs, sausage and fried potatoes this morning, and Vikki made the toast.  We didn’t eat until 10 so it was more like Brunch.  I read my prayers for the grandkids today to the kids as it was such a good prayer I’m praying for them and such a great scripture.  Afterwards, Adam and I played a game of dice.  I was not getting good shakes and he was getting really good ones.  He was like 3000 ahead of me, when he started shaking over the amount he needed to reach 10,000.  I shook really good and when he got to 10,000 and I got my last shake I was up to 10,000 too.  We tied, although he is the winner because he went out first.
Vikki, Peyton and Isaac left to go home.  Adam and I went to the indoor pool and swam for a long time.  I swam steady too so it was very good and very much needed exercise.  It sure felt good.  Adam went in the hot tub after I got out.  I had tried it but it was too hot, so just sat in the chair.  I was talking to Melissa to find out about her dentist appt. and then looked for Adam and he had left.  When I got back to the camper he said he didn’t want to interrupt me.

We watched some I love Lucy’s, then I went outside and read my Bible.  My Bible reading of 4 chapters was so good today.  I love reading God’s Word.  It’s life changing!

Adam went swimming at the pond, and a while later I took the trash to the dumpster, then went and checked on him.  He moved to the indoor pool because the pond was warm on the top but really cold underneath.  I was happy because there were only a couple of people at the pond.

When he got back, he rested in the hammock.  When he came in, we got ready and went to A & W to get burgers, fries and Root beer.  We had fun talking while we ate.

He swam again when we got home.  When he got back, he put the sleeping bag up on the bed over the driver and passenger seats.  He gets to sleep up there tonight which he is very happy to try.  He sure is fun to have as a camping buddy.

Monday, 7/7/25, Took Eli and Evan home, did some weeding at home, fed birds, visited Marie in hospital, went to Chick Fil A, went to Walmart, came back up north to camper

Peyton with her cute new sunglasses holding sweetie Rehvyn
Grammy braided Rehvyn’s hair today...He is so cute and so sweet!
Evan and Eli slept in the tent last night. They both came in with their blankets around them and were cold.  We tried the camper furnace on electric and it worked great.
Bill and I went to Chick-fil-A for dinner.  We each had chicken strips, chicken noodle soup instead of fries, and I had a yummy peach shake and he had vanilla.  Their peach shakes are the best!

I got up at 6:15 this morning and the boys got up at 7.  They had said they would set their alarm and get up at 6.  They felt different about that this morning.  I let the sleep and just got them up at 7.  I dropped Eli off at his house around 8:15 and then Evan slept in the car on the way to his house and I dropped him off around 9.  I got a bagel with cream cheese from Tim Hortons and then went home to eat it.  Bill was at a VA appt.

I started laundry right away, then after I ate, I walked outside and looked at my plants which have really grown.  Weeds have too.  I pulled lots of weeds, but have more to do next trip home.  I ran the pool filter, then filled all the bird feeders.   I went in and folded laundry and packed up the car.  Bill went to his retirement dinner, then I met him at Meijer and we went up and saw Marie.  Marie and Roy’s neighbors were there.  Donna had come a few times to our Bible study.  We talked to them for a minute because the nurse was in with Marie.  Roy came down the hallway and visited with us.  Then the nurse said only two could go in at a time.  we let donna and her husband Ken go in first and we went to the lounge and visited with Roy.  When they were done, Bill, Roy and I went in.  We visited for a long time, as the doctor came in and talked to Marie and they had us stay in.  He was a super nice and very thorough doctor.  Marie is scheduled for brain surgery to drain the blood off her brain on Thursday at 11:30.  She’s 87 and this is difficult, but she is speaking the Word and Believing and trusting God.  She also has a blood clot in her leg which they had to put a filter in for so it doesn’t cause a stroke.  We anointed her and prayed for her before we left.

We went to Chick-fil-A afterwards.  The food was so good and the peach shake is my favorite.  We went to Meijer and I got my car afterward.  Bill got some fruit stuff from Meijer.  I went to Walmart and got some over the counter stuff with my card.  Then I left to head up north again.  I called Vikki to let her know and I texted Adam to let him know I was leaving. Then I let them know when I got to the camper.  Vikki and the kids came back up and Adam came back up too.  More pictures below of this evening.  We played 3-13 and Adam really beat us bad!!!  We watched I Love Lucy and had fun!  Did lots of laughing.

Sunday, 7/6/25, Went to Spirit of Life Church, got pizza, kids went swimming, rained for a couple of hours, Vikki went home til tomorrow,

Hailey looked beautiful for church

Evan

We got up and got ready for church. I took cereal and milk out to the Clam and the kids ate breakfast out there.  We left for church at 10;10, got almost out of the camper and Vikki wanted to go back and get her Bible she forgot.  I forgot mine too, so was happy to go back and unlock the door so we could both get them.

The church service was really good and worship was awesome.  Great message too.  Vikki, Hailey, Peyton and I sat in one row and the boys sat in the row across from us.  After church we went to Little Caesars and ordered pizzas.  Vikki and the girls went back to the camper and I took the boys to the Family Dollar Store to pass time while we waited.  We picked up the pizza’s and I took all the boys in to have each one carry one, but Eli carried all of them.
Isaac realized he forgot his Bible at the church, so we went back and got it.  Then we went back to the camper and ate together.  Hailey left to go back home, and Evan is staying with us for one more night.  The kids went swimming after.  I checked on them and they were just hanging together and swimming and having fun.  Peyton was sitting in the pool area talking to her friend I took some pictures and came back to the camper.  Vikki and I played 3-13 and it started pouring.  We knew a storm was coming so we had everything in the Clam including bikes.  We also had the boys take their blankets and stuff out of the tent.  It was just rain and thunder.  We didn’t see any lightening and no high winds.  I won the game of 3-13 and Vikki won the game of dice.  Lots of people left the campground today.  Nice to not have it so busy.
We had the kids come back from the campground after the rain stopped.  The were stuck there in the really heavy downpour.  Vikki, Peyton and Isaac left and went home to take showers and do laundry.  Evan and Eli wanted to go back to the Clubhouse to the weight room.

I talked to Bill on the phone and to Kimmy a couple of times.  The boys hung out in the camper with me for 1 1/2 hours, then went back over to the Clubhouse.
