Here are the fun pictures from yesterday and some from today when I babysat Jacob and Adam. The boys both slept thru the night. Adam woke up at 6:45 and ate really good for me. I held him for a while then he went back to sleep until 9:30. Jacob didn't wake up until 9:45. He ate 3 bowls of cereal. Papa taught him how to eat a cereal from the scoop on his tractor. I videoed it. Jacob asked to get down while he was eating to go potty. He went, then got back up in his highchair and finished his breakfast. What a big boy! We hung laundry out. Jacob handed me the clothes pins and had so much fun bringing them to me. Then we played outside for a while. We went in for lunch and Jacob ate 2 pieces of pizza. He is a growing boy I guess. He and Adam were just a joy to have. They are so good natured and happy. I loved having them. Kimmy and Jared came and I started fixing chili for a motorcycle run on Sunday. Then I made goulash to take to dad before heading over to meet Melissa at Hailey's dance place so I could watch Max for her. He played with 2 trucks and kept himself entertained. He watched Hailey through the window with me for a while. She looked so cute. She really improved from the week before as she is a little shy about going by herself. Went home and Bill and I took Kenzie to Melissa's while we went up to the hospitals to visit 3 people. Had very nice, prayerful visits that were very touching. On the way home we talked to Vikki, so she, Rody and Kenzie met us at Culvers for a burger and Cememt Mixer (like a Blizzard at Dairy Queen). Had fun visiting with them.
Took Kenzie to school as usual, stopped at dad's and picked his rubarb. Helped him cut it up so he could cook it. Left there and came home to get Bill so we could meet friend Danny for breakfast at 9:30. Had a great time visiting with him. Left the restaurant and went to Tractor Supply and Meijers. Bought Mocha a new dog brush to keep the mats out until my groomer, Kimmy, gets her new clippers. Met pastor and his wife at Horizons at 11am and had a wonderful dinner with them and very good visit. They are just the nicest people to be with. Got home and had a half hour before I had to pick Kenzie up from school. Thought I'd lay down to rest for a half hour. The next thing I know, the phone was ringing. It was Vikki calling. I had just woke up and realized I had ten minutes before I had to get to school so could only talk a minute. We went back to dad's and then left for home as Kimmy was supposed to stop over if we were home. I didn't want to miss her visit as I always love seeing them. Jared got there before Kimmy and of course he and Bill had to play ping pong... I didn't ask the outcome of the game. It wasn't long before Kimmy and the boys came. I don't know how those boys could get any cuter, but it does seem to me they are cuter everytime I see them. We went outside for a while and then Kimmy and I made pizzas for supper. They were so yummy. Charlie came over to see Bill's trailer, my dad's neighbor blessed him with. He had been going to buy one and then my dad mentioned his neighbor had 2 trailors sitting out back that he hadn't used in a long time. Bill called and he said he could just have the one. Praise the Lord!! Those are the kind of deals retired people need. We just finished eating when Melissa and family came over too. Max has a tractor type toy that Jacob just loves. Melissa found the same one and got it for Jacob. He was so happy to have his own. Melissa is so good hearted and such a loving aunt. We all decided to have a bonfire in the back yard. It was fun and we all enjoyed it. I will show pictures of it tomorrow night. Jacob and Adam are spending the night tonight. It is Adam's first night. It was hard on Kimmy to leave him at this young age, but I guaranteed her I would t take really good care of him. She is such a loving mommy. After Kimmy left I stood and watched Adam. He was so adorable in his bed, talking away in baby talk and looking up at me smiling. He is sleeping now after finding his tasty thumb. I am going to have fun tomorrow just enjoying the two boys. How blessed I am. By the way beware of a strange picture on Kimmy's blog. She will probably try to convince everyone that I had a part in it. I don't know if I would fall for it if I were you....
Took Kenzie to school and then stopped in to see dad. Had a glass of orange juice with him and some of his egg beaters. Came home and Bill and I changed the furniture in the living room around so we would have more room for chairs for our Bible Study. Bill wanted to try a new way and it looks really good. Bill left to go to dad's and mow his grass. I got the house ready and made a blueberry desert and also brownies to have for our treat tonight. I surprised Bill and mowed most of our grass. Didn't quite get finisihed as I had to go pick up Kenzie from school. Rachel came and saw me and petted Mocha. Kenzie and Rachael want to spend time together, so I went and talked to Rachael's mom to see when would be good for her. We set it up for Rachael to come to my house on Monday. It took forever for Kenzie to get out. Then I waited longer as she wanted to go in and show her dog, Mocha, off to everyone. Stopped back at dad's on our way home. He had his target set up and was trying out the gun scope he had repaired. He was shooting out of his opened porch window. He hit the target right on the ring that makes up the bull's eye. Pretty good shot. He is so cute. When I see how he's doing after all he's been through the past year, I know he's a miracle of God. I am so thankful. Kenzie and Bill played horseshoes while I made dinner. Kenzie got 11 points. Bible study was great. Quite a few missing as their was a Rescue Mission dinner and many attended that tonight and said they will be here next week. It was so nice not having to rush afterwards getting Bill off to work, or packing his lunch. I love retirement.....The pictures are of my little tree out front. My carpet rose climbed up to the very top of it. There are pictures of Kenzie climbing the wood pile with her rope.
Today our sweet baby grandson, Adam, was dedicated to the Lord. It was such a special service and he was such a good baby. Just kept smiling as usual. The pastor did a wonderful job and does the best dedications I've ever seen. He is so sweet and gentle with the little ones and prays such special prayers over them. They are blessed little ones with the godly parents God has given them. The pictures turned out really nice as you can see. We had everyone over at 5pm for chili, bread sticks, cake and ice cream to celebrate Adam's dedication, Grandpa's 91st birthday, and Bruce's birthday. It was lots of fun getting together and the kids were well behaved again as usual. Lela, I want to thank you for your comment on selective hearing. It was an excellent comment and much appreciated....Just wait Kimmy...you'll be next
