1/21/16 Malachi and Dennis came for lunch

This bag is going much better....going forward now, not backward...hope it continues

Got up this morning and peeled potatoes, baked an apple pie, made a meatloaf, thawed out homemade applesauce that was frozen.  Got everything ready and did some knitting.  Set the table and then at noon, Malachi came for lunch and to visit.  A few minutes later, Dennis Ward came to bring me his key so I could take care of his cat while he is in Florida seeing his mom.  We asked him to stay for dinner and the four of us had a very nice visit and good prayer.  After they left, I knitted some more and than at 3:30 Bill and I went to the funeral home for Derek Rupp's grandma.  We had a good visit with Emily and Derek and then met Derek's mom.  She is such a sweet caring person.  She offered to have her hubby come down and clean our eave troughs out when we need it after hearing about Bill's knees.  She works at Dow Chemical and is one of the top people there.  Next she introduced us to her husband and he was really nice too.  He went to Bethlehem Lutheran School when he was young.  We got home and got ready to go to the Theatre to pick up popcorn they were donating for us to have while we show a movie to The City Rescue Mission tonight.  We picked up Elaine and headed to the Rescue Mission.  We had a good turnout.  24 of them and 8 of us.  We watched Unconditional which was a true story and a very good movie.  Signing off to knit now.  Night Night

1/20/16 Went to Kimmy's to spend the day

Norman is such a nice dog

Finally finished my bag I knitted.  Spent a long time on it as I made mistakes and ripped out lots.  I know how to go backwards better than forward in knitting now.

Nana, Jacob and Eli....I was so happy to see these sweeties

Had to go outside to get a picture with my sweetie Adam

Jacob hopped in the picture really quick which made me happy

Went to Kimmy's to spend time with her while she is waiting for her sheep to have lambs.  We had a nice visit and she helped show me how to finish my bag.  Thank you for all your patience Kimmy.
We checked on the sheep every hour, but no babies yet.  Loved getting to see the boys.  I have been missing them.  Left and headed for home.  Ate and went to church to teach kids care groups.  I had 12 kids tonight which is the most ever this year.  They were really good and we had fun.  Aleyiah Nelson brought me a card she made that was so sweet.  She also had a dark chocolate bar for me that she wrapped in a tissue.  Love these precious kids.

1/19/16 Had our pizza party for winning the penny wars

Yummy Birthday Cake from Sam's Club

The February birthday boys....Malachi and Dennis

Went to our breakfast, then came home to spend more time with the Lord and then get the house ready for care group.  Finished my knitted bag except for the handle.  Pastor Ken and Joan delivered our pizzas and pop 15 minutes before care group was supposed to start.  It was so yummy and we had lots of fun.  We had birthday cake afterwards.  It was super delicious.  Had a great care group.

1/18/16

Cutie Peyton

Papa, Peyton, Nana and Isaac

Nana with her sweeties

Peyton and Isaac playing under their tunnel

Vikki came over today because she thought the furnace guys were coming to work on their furnace.  We had a nice time knitting and watching Peyton and Isaac play.  They sure have great imaginations.  They are so fun to listen to as the play together.  The furnace guys didn't come till later and then only for a short time.  Bill and I went to Tim Hortons in Bay City to meet a couple he is going to marry this summer.  After that we came home.  I got a letter I had received from Sam's Club and headed to Sam's.  We had gotten a membership and then got this letter saying because Bill was in the military he could get a $15 gift card.  Well that paid for the cake we got for the birthdays for our care group.  The cake is beautiful too.  Came home and did the rest of our lesson for tomorrow night.

1/17/16....Went to celebrate Christmas with Stacie, DJ and Kody

Bill and I went to Bob Evans after church.  I told him to smile and this was the best I got!  He's cute any way

Kody liked his Christmas present!  Good job helping me pick it out Isaac!

Kody was so cute and sweet!

Finally got this cute smile out of him

Kody and I ate our pizza at his little table

Love Stacie and DJ's shirts....notice our shirts below ha ha

Max loves his bird and makes sure it doesn't get lonely when he can't play with it.

Max was so cute with it and so were his friends.  I was thinking on the way there that maybe his friends would think it was a silly gift but it was a big hit.  Melissa and I had lots of fun and laughs with it too.  Go Blu...that's his name
We went to church and our row was full with Melissa and Family, Vikki and family and Stacie, Angelia, Bill and I.  We went to Bob Evans afterwards.  Bill got breakfast and I got a senior turkey dinner.  After that we came home and watched a movie.  Picked G's pizza up and went to Stacie and DJ's to celebrate Christmas since we were too busy to get together earlier.  We got there and Kody was so excited to see us.  He was saying hi Nana and Papa and running all over.  He saw his present and begged to open it right away.  He loved it.  The rest of us opened our gifts.  In our bag was an 8 x 10 picture of Stacie, DJ and Kody.  They all had red plaid flannels on in it  Funny because Bill and I wore our red plaid flannels there.  Stacie and DJ went and put their red flannels on so we all matched. We took pictures and had a good laugh.  Should have taken my selfie stick so we could have gotten a pic together.  Came home, knitted and watched a movie.  Vikki called and said Kenzie went to church with Libby's mom today.  That made me so happy.  Thank you Lord

11/16/16.....Celebrated Gayla's Birthday at Teppanyaki's and then went to Melissa's to celebrate Max's Birthday...the big 10 yr old.

Celebrated Gayla's Birthday at our Faith Rider's Dinner Run

Bill was a big stinker!  He ate my cake while I was talking to Marsha next to me.  She fixed him though.  She gathered about 6 fortune cookies and when he moved to the table ahead of ours, she fired away.  She was a pretty good aim and got him right in the back of the head.  Don't think he'll eat my cake when she's around anymore.  We were all laughing so hard.

Kenny at front table, Matt, Lupe and family at back table

The rest of the group

Many deer in the field across from us.  You need to zoom in to see them though

Went to Max's 10th Birthday Party at Melissa's.  He didn't want to celebrate until Papa could be there.  Papa had his surgery on Max's birthday.  Then things got busy with the Boar's Head Festival which Max was in and then lots of school work so finally today we could celebrate and give him his gift.  We gave him a bird that talks and repeats what you say.  I was thinking where he had friends over, they might think it was a silly gift, but it was a real hit.  They had so much fun with it and so did Melissa and I.  We laughed so hard.  It can drive a cart, swing itself on it's swing, eat it's pretend food, look at itself in the mirror, sit on it's hand held perch and the more you pet it the more it activates it different movements and sayings.  I will post pics when I get Melissa's as I forgot my phone so couldn't take pictures!

Hailey came home from Max's party with us to watch the movie Love's Enduring Promise.  We had popcorn and enjoyed having our sweet granddaughter spend time with us and stay the night.

I moved the chair for her so she could watch tv and be comfy.   Papa was pretty comfy too as you can see....he is laying on top of the warm heated throw from Kimmy and family which he loves. You can see it is on...see that little light on the couch by his feet ha ha.

11/15/16 Debbie's funeral

Thought this was such a cute picture of Kenzie and Katniss

We got up and got ready and went to Hopevale Church for the funeral.  Bill was doing the Eulogy and the sermon and Pastor Ken from Hopevale was doing the rest.  Bill did an amazing job talking about Debbie and had an outstanding salvation message.  I am so proud of him.  Afterwards we went to the cemetery and Pastor Ken did the committal.  He said perfect people don't go to heaven, people who do works to make up for the bad things they do don't go to heaven, only forgiven people go to heaven and Jesus is the one who forgives.  You only have to believe in him.
We sat with him at the dinner at the church afterwards and he was the nicest person.  We got to share about what God did for Melissa with him and the other couple at our table.
Came home and we decided we were too full to eat so just went to Culver's for a concrete mixer.  I had a coupon for buy one get one free.  After that we came home and watched the movie, War Room.  Such a great movie...life changing!!!
