Bruce was going to be at the hospital around 10:30 for his hand surgery today.  It’s on the same hand as before, the right one, because it is still giving him lots of problems.  I texted him to let him know we love him and are praying for him.  I was supposed to sit with Melissa while he had it done, but Bill’s appt. ended up on the same day, so Vikki took my place.  We got ready, Bill cut up a watermelon, and I picked up potato salad from the deli.  We loaded it in the cooler and Bill put it in the Jeep.  Bill read his Bible before we left.  I read my Bible on our way.  I worked on two blogs too.

We went to Bill’s VA appointment and the doctors both said his numbers are so low they don’t even like to call it cancer.  He is .076 and 10 is when it’s aggressive.  They said with all they know now days, they wouldn’t recommend radiation.  They want to continue actively watching it and if radiation is needed ever, they will do it when needed.  They were both really nice doctors and seemed really sharp.  I’m glad the VA is being so careful and having things checked out thoroughly.

After we left there, we went to Fred and Lourdes’s.  Fred met us by the garage.  He showed us the room above the garage that they just had finished.  It is Lourdes’s room and he has a stool to do hair and a nice mirror so she can still cut some customer’s hair that still want to come have her cut it.  She sold her studio.  We all visited for a while, then went on a pontoon ride down the channel and around the lake a couple of times.  Fred showed Bill how fast it goes.  It can pull a skier.  After he showed him, we went back to slowly cruising around the lake.  It was a perfect day for it.  Not too hot, but yet not too cold either.
We enjoyed a lemonade while we rode around.  We came back to the house, so we could eat.   Fred grilled burgers on the grill and I brought potato salad and of course, Bill’s watermelon.
Adrian, Lourdes’s son, was visiting, so it was nice to see him and catch up on how he’s doing.  Melissa kept me posted on how Bruce was doing all day and let me know when he went home.  He chose to not have much medicine because last time he was so nauseous.  He didn’t want to feel like that again.  He was having pain when he got home, but said it was better than how he felt last time.

Fred has shoulder surgery and has to be at the hospital at 5:30 tomorrow morning.  We left after we ate so he could rest up for it.  It’s nice Adrian will be there to watch the dogs and help Fred by mowing the grass etc.
