I trimmed my lilac bush. I forgot to take a before picture so took at half before and half after. Kimmy always has trimmed my three bushes, but with the new hedger it’s pretty easy for me to do

Bill used a torch to kill weeds. He accidentally torched my plant and it caught fire. He stomped it out but his sock caught fire. He had a hard time getting it off, but managed to without getting burned. I am glad he was ok. I told him no more torching by my plants, and I am hoping for no more torching at all

When we were leaving Melissa’s there was a rainbow on the other side of their house and this beautiful sunset. I took a picture of the rainbow, but it didn’t look like a rainbow through the screen in the picture.

Bill and I got up and got ready to go to Serve Saturday at church. We had to be there at 8:00 a.m. There were 206 people registered to go to different places in our community to serve. This year Bill and I were on the prayer team at the church. There were 8 of us praying. We prayed for three hours and covered the workers and the ministries they were helping plus went in the sanctuary where Cassie and Chelsie were getting everything ready for our Vacation Bible School which starts Monday. We prayed over all the seats and the kids and adults who would be sitting in them, prayed over Cassie and Chelsie and different things that prayer was asked for. After everyone returned from their jobs, Jon and Jennifer, owners of Chic fil A who go to our church, served everyone free lunch. It was so good. They did this last year too. What a huge blessing!
Melissa called and she and Hailey brought cinnamon rolls that Hailey made for Bill for Father's Day. They are going to Muskegon this year to celebrate with Bruce’s Dad for once. We are going to FaceTime tomorrow when Bill opens his gift from Melissa, Kimmy and Vikki and families for Father's Day. We sat out on the deck and decided to start the fire pit. I tried and saw flames once, buy couldn’t get it started. Evan decided he would start it. He tried several times, then I prayed that God would help him where he had the sore foot and was trying so hard. It started right after I prayed. We were all so thankful to have a fire. I gave Melissa a jar of jam I made for her and Bruce to try. They left and we went inside and I worked on catching up on some blogs. There’s been so much going on, it is hard to keep the blog up.
