1/5/08

Don't have any recent pictures so I picked some older ones out to put on that I thought were cute of the kids.
Got my closet shelves cleaned today so now I have room for my sewing machine. Dad and I went to Art Vans to measure our server so we can mark it off with masking tape and know where it will fit the best. We came home and I made hamburger cabbage buns, and then we took it over to grandpa's and ate with him. Stayed for a while. They watched tv while I looked at picture books. Lots of good memories in those picture books and in my heart. We then went to Culver's for a concrete mixer. Yummy! Then we came back home to play deal or no deal. Dad was the winner tonight. I was the winner last night. Tie breaker tomorrow night. Vikki, Rody and Kenzie stopped over to get warm snowsuits for sledding. I can't wait to see the pictures of their exciting adventure with Kimmy, Jared and boys.

1/3/08

Jared dropped Kenzie off this morning as she spent the night with them. She always loves to go to their house and have fun with them. I took her to school early as she is now on school patrol, which she is really excited about. After I dropped her off, I went to dad's and took his tree down and put away all the other Christmas decorations. First I had a cup of coffee and a couple of cookies with him and we watched the weather channel to see what the day would bring. Cold...Cold...Cold but at least we had sunshine. Went to get a few things at the store and found alot of Christmas bargains for next year. Did a few things around the house and it was time to go get Kenzie. We got home and played four games of UNO Attack. She won 2 and I won 2. Now we have to have a playoff before bedtime. Kenzie called me downstairs at about 5:30 and she had Chunky Soup made and on the table. She had placemats down, drinks on. Everything was set up so nice and it was so sweet of her. She cleaned everything up afterwards too. She must take after her Aunt Kimmy!!!

1/2/08 Happy New Year!!!

Well it was a busy Dec. with all the birthdays, shopping, parties, niece, Sara's wedding, etc. Now hopefully with the New Year here I will be able to be more regular a my blog. Thanks, Kimmy, for organizing all my pictures. What a big job that was as they were so messed up. A big thank you again, for doing all those dishes last night and for the yummy mashed potatoes. You are always such a big help to me. We had such good family times during the month of Dec. Here are many of the pictures I took. Today was a special day for me as Jacob asked last night if he could stay here at Nana's. We had a fun day, going out to breakfast, visiting grandpa, playing, picking Kenzie up from school, then playing some more. He is such a good boy, and I love how he comes up to me and sits on my lap, then says he loves me. Kenzie told him she was sad because he didn't want to put a snowsuit on and go outside to play with her. He looked at her and said, "Don't be sad, I love you this much". He was holding his arms out real wide. It touched both of our hearts. I forgot to mention, last night I read to Jacob and then he went to bed so good for me. He asked me for a drink of water, so I filled his sippy cup with cold water from the water cooler and handed it to him. Somehow, I didn't have the top on right, and poor Jacob got soaked. His pj's, the blankets, pillow and mattress. I took him out to lay on the couch by papa while I threw everything in the dryer. He probably won't ever ask me for a drink of water again. He sure was a good boy while I cleaned up the spill.

Here's pictures of the new furniture as requested...

The furniture arrived this morning. It looks so nice. The table had some scratches in it so they are exchanging it when they bring the server. I still have lots of room for my picture books in the end table so I'm very happy about that.

Here's the wood!!! 12/26/07

Well here are the pictures of the wood. As you can see it was lots of work!!!
Thanks Jared and Kimmy for all your many hours of hard work. We love and appreciate you. Thanks to dad for his many hours and hard work too! Can't forget to thank you too, Bruce, for the night you helped Jared cut up that big pile of wood while we had to go to Fred's birthday party. You are all loved and appreciated. Thanks to Vikki and Melissa for helping watch the kiddos so Kimmy and I could stack the wood. Mucho love to you. Boy are we ever glad that job is done. I also took a picture of the two rows of wood stacked the width of the shed, but somehow I got my feet instead. Don't know how I did that one. I will take another picture of it tommorow so you can see the rest. Bill worked so hard and I am so glad he can come home now and not have to run outside to split wood.Nice talking to Jared's mom on the phone today. I can't wait to try the shaker truck myself and enter the contest to see who can get it to go the farthest. Sounds like fun. I miss my boys. I know they are in good hands with Grandma and Grandpa Russell though.
