Snowy and windy front yard

Didn't want more snow in April.  Better than a tornado though.
Couldn't believe it when everything was white outside this morning.  I went early to church and set up my Sunday school class.  Worship was beautiful. After worship, the kids and teachers all went to Sunday School.  It was a good lesson on how God gives us hope and brings good out of bad.  I gave a testimony and then all the kids wanted to share something God did for them that brought good out of something bad.  They were very serious and it was a precious time.  Declan Galsterer broke his arm when he was getting off of their trampoline.  We all prayed for him.  His mom stayed in my class and helped because she wanted to keep a close eye on Declan.  He doesn't have a hard cast on yet.  Peyton's friend Katelynn's big sister, Mary, was a helper in my class.  It was her first time helping.  We have a little guy that has Autism and the last two times I have had him he has gone pretty wild.  My adult helper has had a hard time keeping him quiet and under control.  He colored all over the wall, tore posters down from the wall, etc.  I was kind of nervous about Mary having to deal with him and it being her first time and her being so young.  I prayed of course!  She did great with him and it was the first time he was quiet and could stay in the classroom the whole time.  She was amazing and so was he.  He did tear four posters off the wall right when we got in the room, but the rest of the time he was good.  Thanked God for His help!  Thanked Mary too and high fived the little guy.  We went to the Olive Garden with Vicki and Kevin Beemer and their 3 kids.  Had a nice visit with all of them.  Watched a Hallmark movie when we got home and had popcorn.

We all slept in because we stayed up so late last night.  Max and Papa ate pancakes and I ate oatmeal.
They went to Tim Horton's to meet Charlie and I read my Bible and then shampooed the stairs.  Cleaned out some birdhouses and filled the bird bath.  Max helped Papa hang the new led light in the shed.  He came in and watched a movie.  He told me he should probably go home at 2.  I love how he's comfortable and tells me.  He also told me he had lots of fun.  I took him home and went in for a few minutes to see everyone.  Bruce and the kids were watching the new Star Wars Trailer, and Melissa was making mac and cheese.  After I left there, I came home and washed the kitchen light fixture and hallway one too.  Vikki, Peyton, Isaac and Lucy came over in the evening.  Vikki, Bill and I played a game of 3-13.  Bill was the winner.  Peyton and Isaac loved playing with the dominos and made some really nice schools, etc.  It was fun watching them and listening to them.  We went out and looked at the new light.  It sure is nice and bright.  So much nicer than the old ones.  Vikki and I played another game of 3-13 and this time I was the winner.  After they left we watched a Hallmark Movie.

Bill and I walked 2 miles at the SportsZone.  Took Melissa to therapy.  Went to Hobby Lobby and used my birthday gift card.  Picked Melissa up.  She's at therapy from 10am -2pm, so I know she's really hungry, besides being tired when she gets done.  We were going to go to Subway and pulled in, but when I looked for a Subway gift card, but didn't have one.  I did find a Harvey gift card that I've had at least 3 years.  Ann Fowler from His Restoration had given it to us to bless us.  t was $50 and I knew we had only went once.  Didn't have a phone number on it to call and find out the balance.  Bill and Bruce don't like Harvey's so Melissa and I decided to go there for lunch.  The girl checked out the card and it had $30 on it.  We both had potatoes soup and macaroni and cheese.  It was delicious, and we still have money left on the card to go there for lunch again.  I dropped Melissa off at home.  Bill and I went back to her house to pick Max up to spend the night with us.  We took him to Culver's and he loved his concrete mixer.  He told me he was going to save his money so he could get some of those ha ha.  He and Bill had a burger and fries too.  I just got a small Concrete Mixer because I was still full from lunch.  We came back to our house and watched movies and had popcorn.  He sure is a great kid to have around.

Saw this on facebook...Loved it!

Saw the top picture on facebok too.  The caption said not to wait until you are retired to travel. Ha Ha!  Dug out this picture of Charlie and Sue from last years trip with them to Florida.
Guess the caption was right.
We walked 2 miles at the SportsZone.  Took Melissa to Therapy.,,Both therapist commented on how much she has improved.  Picked up a turkey and ham for Easter dinner.  Meijer had great sales.  Honeysuckle turkey for .49 cents a lb.  Got a 25 pounder.  Bill replaced the part on our motorcycle that broke when he hit a pothole.  He did a great job.  Dropped Melissa off at her house and then went to pick up Peyton and Isaac from school. We hung out at my house until Vikki picked them up.  She visited a while when she came.  Read Miss Susie to them. They read some of it to me too.  We sure had fun.  Had cookie time too.  Went to Roy and Marie’s to celebrate Roy’s 84th Birthday.  We took him a cake and enjoyed eating it with him and Marie..

Tuesday, 4/9/19...Went to our breakfast, picked Hailey up from school at noon, had small group

Got to hang out with Hailey for a while today

Went to our breakfast at Sullivan's.  There were 10 of us there.  Had a good devotion and prayer time, plus good fellowship.  Gayla showed me three pictures she took at the Covenant rehab Melissa was in.  They have large pictures of Melissa all over the walls.  Yesterday, Dr. Wringly told Bruce at Track that Melissa needs to go there for a visit because her picture is plastered all over the place.  Now we really want to go back to visit.  They took lots of pictures and interviewed Melissa while she was in there and said they would be putting some up.  They also have one on the fourth floor.  I got my lesson finished and studied, and did some cleaning.  At noon, I picked Hailey up from school.  She had a practice SAT test today.  She helped me take pop cans back.  We went to Meijer, and that's where we are going from now on.  It was so quick.  The cans didn't come back after sticking them in, no errors for hands being too far in.  It was easy breezy.  The only problem we had is that the receipt wouldn't print because it was out of paper.  The girl came to help us and we were out of there quickly.  So much better than Kroger's.  We went to Taco Bell after that.  Fun hanging out with Hailey.  We went to her house and spent time with Melissa for a while. Abby looks cute with her haircut.  Hailey and I always joke around that Abby likes us better than the other and call her to see who she comes to.  Took Melissa a couple of little prayer books I picked up for her...the Power of a Praying Wife, and The Power of a Praying Parent.  I was telling her how much Bill and I like ours, so she said she would like some.  Small group went well.  Everyone was there and there was lots of good discussion.  Love how everyone has their lesson done ahead of time.  My Amaryllis toppled over today.  It got too tall and heavy.  I had just commented a while before that I should get rid of it before if fell over because it was leaning.  I was glad all the dirt stayed in the pot and it wasn't a mess.

Monday, 4/8/19....Walked at SportsZone, Got our taxes done, Bill took James to Detroit for an appt., 69 degrees out

Amaryllis now has all five blossoms open.  This is the last picture.  It sure was fun watching it grow and blossom
Bill and I walked two miles at the SportsZone.  We came home, ate our oatmeal, got the tax stuff for 2018 organized and then went to get our taxes done.  We have had the same lady for years.  She is so sweet and so good at doing taxes.  We went to lunch at Applebees afterward.  Bill got a salad and I got all you can eat soup and salad.  We got home and Bill had to get ready to leave and take James to his Veteran's appointment in Detroit.  I went outside and sat in a lawn chair and enjoyed the nice weather and bird watched. Lots of different kinds of birds.  Love seeing my flowers poking through now.  It was so nice and relaxing outside. Nothing like God's creation.  I made round steak and gravy in the crockpot.  Went in and peeled potatoes and then made mashed potatoes.  Yum! It sure tasted good.  Bill and I watched the Basketball Game.  We were cheering for Texas!  Love how the player the other night gave glory to the Lord.
