Wed., 3/30/22, picked Jack up to spend the night, Kimmy dropped Eli off to spend the night too. They have plans for having so much fun together!

Evan wasn't trusting Hailey to hold him on her shoulders ha ha
Brother and sister love!
Eli and Jack eating pizza combo lunches from Little Caesars and both drinking Mountain Dew
They had fun with the light saber in the basement.  They turned the lights out so it would be really dark
Me and Bill while they were in the basement.  Bill was sleeping, but I was just listening to them with joy in my heart.  This is the first time Jack has been able to spend the night since before Covid.  He and Jack are best buddies, so that made it all the better that they could spend the night together.  I am one happy nana and my heart if full!

The boys thought it was very funny when I came down in my winter coat.  I got shot and it stung, so wore it for extra protection

Cute selfie Adam sent me
Bread Bill baked....it was ready last night, but he was too tired so he left two loaves on the kitchen cupboard.  They were gigantic this morning when I got up.  I put them in the oven and went down to walk, so he got them out.  The bread is delicious even though the shape is funny.
Eli and Jack playing Mario Cart
My Christmas Cactus is just beautiful with even more blossoms coming

Charlie called Bill and told him he wanted to wait to go for their coffee.  It was very icy out and still raining.  I got up so I could walk on the treadmill.  Did two miles today while listening to great worship music.  Had yummy oatmeal and my coffee afterward.  Started reading Revelation last night so will reading it through.  I picked up pizza combo lunch kits for Jack, Eli and Hailey.  Took a Hot and Ready to Melissa, Max and Evan.  All three that had the combo's wanted Mountain Dew to drink, so I got those for their drinks.  I picked Hailey up and she rode to Melissa's with me and ate her pizza there.  Evan came out right away to say hi and thank me for the pizza.  Jack came out with his suit case, and a huge bag with stuff to play with Eli with (and papa and I he said).  He also had his cool light saber.
We were a little ways away when he remembered he forgot his roller blades.  We went back to get them so they could rollerblade together.  When we got to my house, Kit Kat came in and ran right to her green mouse toy.  Jack thought it was cute how she loves that one they gave me so much.  They ate their pizza when they got home.  Eli almost ate the whole 4 big pieces.  Jack ate two of his pieces.  They went down in the basement after they finished.  They brought Kit Kat down to play, but she was scared of the light saber.  She ran up to me, and I put her back in the garage.

Bill and I relaxed while they had lots of fun and talked non stop in the basement. Bill fell asleep, but I enjoyed listening to their laugher and happy and exited talking.  This is so good for all of us because it has been so long since we've been able to have Jack stay.  Eli always loves being the only child at his house so we haven't had him in a long time either.

They played for three hours in the basement then came upstairs and hung out.  They wanted to go outside, but it was still raining.  I picked up burgers and fries from Tony's and brought it home to eat.  The boys loved it.  They wanted Papa and I to play nerf guns with them, so we went down and had lots of laughs, lots of fun and lots of exercise.  We came up and watched the Movie, What If.  They both really liked it.  Then it was 11:30, so Bill and I were ready for bed and the boys wanted to stay up late and watch How to Train Your Dragon/The Hidden World.  I wonder what time they will be waking up tomorrow.

Melissa and Hailey had fun going to look for a prom dress.  It made me       so happy to see these pictures. They had so much fun, but didn't find the perfect dress.

Tues., 3/29/22, Kimmy and the boys came over and Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over. Spring Break joy!

Max is watching Mylee for Kenzie.  She sure is staying at the right place!  Life of luxury for this sweet dog.  They always love the dogs they watch.

Papa let Jacob, Peyton and Adam go up on the roof.  Jacob fixed a piece of loose siding for him.
Peyton said she was bored, so Papa took her outside with him.  She helped him pick up some sticks and they burned them
Peyton learned to play Sequence today.  She did great.

Jacob, me, Adam, Vikki and Peyton playing Sequence...Kimmy played too, but took the picture

I got up at 6:30 and noticed a light on in the living room.  Bill was up reading his Bible.  I stayed up and cleaned the kernel burner.  It's always a good feeling when that job is done and the fire is going again.  I didn't eat breakfast because I picked up muffins from Sam's Club for when everybody came today.  I had a pot of coffee going for when they got here too.

Bill took the garbage out, and I played with Kit Kat while he did that.  He had an appointment to get his glasses fixed at 8 a.m at the VA.  Everyone got here around 10.  We played 3 games of Sequence.  Jacob, Adam and Peyton were on one team and Vikki, Kimmy and I were on the other team.  Vikki talked across the table once and so Adam took one of my cards away.  That didn't seem fair when Vikki was the one talking.  Later on I read the directions and he was supposed to take a card from each of us.  That would have been far worse.  I sure won't be talking across the table when we play.  We ate turkey sandwiches for lunch with doritos, and some of us ate strawberries I mashed up today.  The kids liked the oreos and muffins for their dessert.

Adam, Peyton and I started playing Skip Bo, but Peyton went outside with Papa, so Kimmy took her place.  Adam really likes that game.  He won....I wonder why he likes it????  While we played, Adam, Peyton and I had root beer floats.  Eli and Isaac had their root beer floats in the basement.

We watched the rest of Ann of Green Gables, while Kimmy and Adam helped Peyton understand how to play Sequence better.  After that, we moved to the family room and visited for a while, then played Phase 10.  Vikki was the big winner of that.

Jacob brought in some wood pellets for me and dumped them in the buckets.  He's a great help always.  I fed the birds today.  It was cold, but not as bad in the sun.  Kimmy and Peyton came out and then Adam came out in his shortsleeve shirt and shorts.  He said it was warm.   Brrrrrr!

In the evening I went to Kroger to get some Cinnamon Toast Crunch for Eli when he spends the night.   Kimmy said it was his favorite.  I downloaded the digital coupon and got the big box for 1.79.  Yay!  I wasn't expecting to get them for that cheap.  I am so excited to have Eli and Jack spend the night tomorrow night.  Now they will both have their favorite cereals and can take the left over boxes home.  Eli told me he was excited to spend the night when he was here today, and Jack texted me for a long time and told me he can't wait.

Monday, 3/28/22, Met my Best Friend for our birthday lunches at Zhenders, Went shopping at Sam's Club and Kroger

Celebrate our Birthdays together.  Best Friends for many years.  We forgot to take a picture today, so I'm putting some old ones on that we took

I am so thankful for God giving me the best BFF ever!  We have been best friends for 53 years now.  God picked her out just for me and gave me such a gift.  She is the one that led me to read the Bible, being born again and having a personal relationship with Jesus.  She loves me and my family and always shows it in such kind and caring ways.  I am forever grateful and love her like a sister.
Nice "Besties Forever" plate she gave me today
This is what Kit Kat does when I drive in the garage and park.  She can't wait for me to get out, so climbs on the window and starts pawing to get in.  Silly Kitty

Charlie picked Bill up to go for coffee.  I did my morning routine, but didn't have oatmeal and coffee.  Meeting my friend, Vikki, at Zhenders today, so didn't want to be full.  I did drink a protein drink.  Walked on the treadmill, but only went 1 1/2 miles this morning.  Bill got his truck started after doing what DJ told him to.  Yay!

Paul face timed me and I wished him a happy birthday.  It was so nice talking to him.  He was pretty excited about his birthday.  I texted a little with Vikki, and she gave me his address so I can send him a card.  I also texted with my friend, Vikki, and she let me know she would be at Zhenders at 12 noon.  I left for Frankenmuth, and decided to walk to a store I love to go through called Abby's.  There was a sign on the door that they wouldn't be opening today until noon.  It was so cold and windy out, that I just walked back to Zhenders where my car was parked and waited for Vikki E. to call me.  She got there and we went inside and got right in and got served our family style chicken dinner quickly.  The price for a chicken dinner is $30 now.  Wow!  I sure am glad they do the birthday dinners for free and we cans use them anytime during the month of our birthdays.  We haven't met since Covid started (except 1 quick time in a parking lot), so this was a special and much enjoyed time together.  We spent a couple of hours just eating and visiting and then doing more visiting.  We left there and went to Abby's and walked around.  She liked the store too.  She had to leave after that, because she had to go back home which is 2 1/2 hours away.  After we said our goodbyes, she turned one way to head home and I turned the other.  She called me shortly after to tell me we forgot to take a picture.  Gee, we both felt bad because we always get a birthday picture together when we meet.

I got home and talked with Kimmy, and then with Vikki.  Vikki had a good doctor appt. and so did the kids.  I texted with Eli when he let me know he was getting his Covid booster.  Texted with Adam too.  It was a great day.  Tomorrow, Kimmy, Vikki and kiddos are coming over so it will be another great day.

Bill had to go to an elder's meeting tonight.  It went good.  When he got home, he got the mail.  We got our check from the insurance company.

Sunday, 3/27/22, Went to church, Bill's truck wouldn't start, went to Olive Garden with Vicki and kids, Went to Community Prayer

Iain loves Olive Garden Bread sticks.  He sure eats lots of them.  We always tease him.
Iain and Meredith enjoying their food. I had both of them in my K-1 Sunday School class.  They sure grew up fast.
Vicki and her family sure are special to us.  We were sad that it's our first time there without Kevin, but we had a lot of memories of being there with him which helped
Love this friend so much!

Got ready for church and then read my Bible and prayed.  I left for church earlier than Bill, because we both had to drive and my prayer group starts earlier than when the elders pray for pastor.  I got in the door of the church,  pastor's little grandson who is in my Sunday School group showed me a funny trick where he offered me a piece of candy, took the top of the container and a big long spiral thing jumped out.  He thought it was pretty funny that he scared me.  His Nana Joan was there watching and so was Lisa.  We talked for a couple of minutes and then I headed back to prayer.  On my way, my phone rang.  I usually turn it off before going into church, so it's a good thing I left it on so I could hear it.  Bill called and needed me to come back home to pick him up because his truck wouldn't start.  I walked in to the prayer room and let them know I wouldn't be able to stay.  I got home, and Bill got in and I drove back to church.  He had the battery charger plugged into the truck.  I just went into the sanctuary and sat down, then Hailey came and sat next to me, then Vikki, Rody and the twins got there and sat by us.   Bill was supposed to go to our CMA chapter in Caro, and I was supposed to be at community prayer a the same time today, so he said he was going to ride his motorcycle.  No way did I want him riding in this cold, mid 20's and very windy.  I talked to Vikki and she said we could come pick her car up and I could use it.  I was so thankful and happy.

Loved the second and third songs we sang for worship.  Great message from Pastor Ken.  Bill's sister's Angie and Debbie watch every week on line.  Angie has since two years ago and Debbie started last month.  Vikki worked back with the kids today.

After church, we came home to see if the truck would start, but it wouldn't.  We headed to Vikki's to get her car, then we had to meet Vicki, Meredith and Iain at Olive Garden.  We had told her we were going to treat them to dinner there, so for my birthday she surprised me with a $75 gift card to Olive Garden.  I tried to give it back, but she wouldn't let me, so we used it today.  We had such a nice time.  The kids were so sweet and it was so nice to hear what they've been doing.  We all enjoyed our time together.  The food was delicious and we had the best waiter.  We weren't in a busy area so that was good too.  Bill left to go to Caro, and I left to go to Community Prayer which was at our church today.  My friend, Mary Jane had asked me to lead a group in a prayer circle.  We worshiped first then, broke into two groups.   Those in my group were so sweet and all had great things on their heart to pray for.  Kris was in my group too which was nice.  She came in case she was needed to lead a group too.  She's always a great encourager.  After prayer, I headed to Vikki's.  She gave me an orange cream soda which tasted so good.  I got my hugs from the kids, looked at Vikki's plants which are doing great, and checked out the bird's cage and the nesting box Vikki attached.  We sat and visited with Vikki and Today, and enjoyed our pop.  Bill got there shortly after and visited until my pop was gone.  We were going to drop Peyton off to her friend's grandma's down the road, but her grandma came and picked Peyton up.  We stopped at Sam's on our way home, and Bill filled my car with gas.  My best friend, Vikki's birthday is today, and she texted me to let me know she is still coming tomorrow and will meet me at Zhenders for our free birthday family style chicken dinners.  This makes me so happy since I've only got to see her once since covid started.  We were used to meeting every month.  She said she's just as happy.  I am so looking forward to tomorrow.  Texted with Hailey, Adam and Eli.  Talked a couple of times with Melissa.

Sat., 3/26/22, Met Jared at Tim Horton's to pick up Kit Kat, went to Purtells in Pinconning for dinner and ice cream

I read my Bible, then went to Tim Horton's in Midland and got a French Vanilla Cappuccino and donut.  Met Jared there to pick up Kit Kat.  She did a lot of meowing on the way Jared said.  I put a Tim Horton's card on Jared's seat and told him to use that for their Saturday goodies.  He told me Kimmy wouldn't like that.  He was naughty and called Kimmy who told him not to use it.  Kit Kat was happy to see me, but cried unless I put my finger in the cage for her to rub her head against.  She was happy to get out of her cage in the family room and get some attention.  After a few minutes, we ran to the garage door and wanted to go where she is used to and check it out.  At 1:30 we headed to Pinconning.  We went to Northwoods, but it was way too busy, so we left and went to Purtells.  Wes ad Gayla, Luis and Eva and Don had just got there.  The restaurant didn't have enough help, so were closed, but they let us come because we had made a reservation.  We had the whole place to ourselves and had the best service and the best food.  It was amazing.  Great time of fellowship and fun.  We left and headed home.  We took a nap when we got home.
I walked around outside and my daffodils are a couple of inches up now.  I emptied old nests out of the bird houses and got mealworms out for bluebirds.  Kimmy told me she has bluebirds already, so I guess I'm behind in preparing.
