Colorado Trip continued

Melissa and I had a great trip to Colorado. We were able to visit my sister Linda in the hospital lots and we were so happy she was off the respirator and able to talk and visit with us. She has been very very ill and now is improving. Has a long way to go, but we have sure seen the miracles so far. Praise the Lord!!! She stayed awake all the while we visited. Please continue to pray for her. We also got to go see the Garden of the gods which was breathtaking. It's my third visit, but it is exciting every time. Melissa loved it and wants to take Bruce there. Gail was a great hostess and we got to see lots of Tammy which was nice. We had lots of fun and laughs on the trip home and were at the airport from 930am to 945 pm. Long day. We sure were tired by the time we got home. Bill, Bruce, Hailey and Max met us at the airport. We were so happy to see them.

This is the play area for kids at OHare. Notice the wall of frogs sticking to it. It was a very nice play area

These pictures were taken while on the plane.

We stayed at Linda and Gails place. Here are some pictures. Nice mountain view as you can see.

These are called the kissing camels. Do you see them kissing at the top of the mountain? The horses were beautiful. One of the riders tried to get the horse to go down a steep rock, but the horse would have nothing to do with that. He backed up.

These are Linda and Gail (my sisters) dogs. They are cute and loveable

I didn't get many good pictures of the snow sculptures (there were actually only a few I liked), but I did get a cute one of Adam waiting while the other kiddos rode the horses, and one of the kids with Clifford. We had lots of fun as the whole family went other than Bruce and Bill. Friday I spent a wonderful day with Kimmy and the boys at there house, which included a trip to Salvation Army. We ran into Bruce, Melissa, Hailey and Max there so that was a treat. Went back to Kimmy's for lunch and fun with the boys. I think we had as much fun with Jacob's trucks as he did. Thanks for sharing, Jacob. We worked on Kimmy's sewing machine and got it back in shape. Kimmy has been keeping it very busy. The sewing table Jared refinished is absolutely beautiful. It looks even better in person than on the blog. The shelves in the bathroom are also wonderful. They look so nice. Go Jared! I finished my quilt for Kenzie and am putting on the pictures of it. Kenzie loves it. Thanks for all your sewing tips, Kimmy. Today, I took grandpa to the doctor, then we went to school and waited for Kenzie to get out. After that we headed to the pharmacy to drop of prescriptions. Went to get grandpa his blood test, then back to the pharmacy to pick up his scripts. They weren't ready yet, so we all decided to go get a concrete mixer. Before I started, I unzipped my coat as I told grandpa how I always seemed to slop when I ate these. He chuckled. When he started eating he did ok, but then he started slopping. Then I took my turn slopping. He had to admit he was the champion. Kenzie was eating hers and not making any mess. However, when we were done and she was still eating, she finally slopped. Grandpa was Big Slop, I was medium slop and Kenzie was little slop. They sure were yummy. They need to be eaten someplace other than in the car though.

These pictures of Adam and Jacob are so cute. It took me a few days to get them on the blog. I'm getting pokey again. Our server came today and I loaded it up with Grandma Daisy's china.
Her china is beautiful and I have so many wonderful memories of it. Such a keepsake to me. I put pictures on of it. Kenzie called and wanted to know if we would pick her up and take her out for ice cream, so on our way back a motorcycle exhibit, we stopped and got her. Melissa called on our way to get Kenzie and asked if we could take Hailey to church in the morning as she didn't want her to miss and Max has a fever. We picked Hailey up on our way to get Kenzie and they are both spending the night. What fun! We had a great time and great ice cream. They are both sleeping now and all is quiet around here again for the time being.

Sunday Kimmy, Jared, Jacob and Adam came over after church to watch the football game. Bill enjoyed having Jared here to watch it with him. It was as pretty exciting game even if our team didn't win. Jacob was such a sweetie. He picked out where everyone was going to sit at the table and he picked me to sit next to him. Sure made his nana happy.
He would run up to me and hug me for no reason. Then when it was time to go, he wanted to go in Nana's car. When I told him nana's car was nite nite, he said nana go in my car. I walked out with him and he wanted me to get in the car and sit. He even was giving me his mommy's seat. What a sweetie. Adam was as adorable as ever too. Can't believe how he gets around so good. He's drinking from a sippy cup now and loves to stand up. I think he is going to be an early walker. Kimmy groomed Mocha for me. You can see from the before and after pictures that she really needed it. Thank you, Kimmy, for such a great blessing. The haircut looks great. You are appreciated!!! She doesn't look like the same dog. I can tell from the way she acts she loves it too. Kenzie hasn't been feeling good. Cold and fever. I talked to her tonight and she sounds a little better, but has a ways to go. I feel so bad when I hear how she sounds. I am praying hard for my little sweetie.
Talked to Hailey on the phone tonight(Monday) She was so excited. She heard the baby's heartbeat. I loved how excited she was. She's a cutie. Max got on the phone too and said, Hi Nana, Hi Papa...then he just jabbered. Such a cutie too. I am blessed!!!

Took dad to the doctor today and got a good report. All his bloodwork and X-rays were good. We're thanking the Lord. I re-stacked the wood that fell. Wanted to get it done before we get snow. They had been saying were were going to get 7 inches. They have now changed that to just rain. We will see. I'm still glad to have the wood stacked. Hopefully it all stays that way. Kenzie enjoyed sewing again tonight. This time I got the camera out while she was at her sewing maching. Go Vikki, for trying so hard to win tickets for Mykenzie. She was so happy you tried. I got a call from Tammy tonight and my sister, Linda's heart stopped. They had to shock it 8 times to get it working again. She was in critical condition but now upgraded to serious. She did move her leg which she hasn't been able to do and is off dialysis. So improvement in that area. Needs more miracles and prayer that her heart and lungs work properly.
We are trusting God. He has already brought her through so much.
Went to dad's and took him and my sister, Jody, to get ice cream. Dad had a banana split and Jody and I had sundaes. Yummy!
