Bill and I walked two miles at the sportsZone.  There was a light coating of snow on the ground this morning when we woke up.  It was very cold out.  When I got home I made us oatmeal.  Then after we ate, I went to Melissa's a little early to visit with her.  We looked at some of my vacation pictures.  Jared messaged me that he was at the Dentist with Adam.  Adam fell last night, so needed Xrays to check his teeth out.  Jared wanted to know if he could drop Adam off at our house and then I could bring him when I went to their house later to see the lamb with Stacie and Kody.  I told him of course.  Kimmy called me too, and told me what happened.  Melissa and I left for therapy after we hung up from Kimmy. We wanted to be on time after yesterday.  I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and Aldi's while she was at therapy.  After that, I went back to therapy and watched Melissa on the Lokomat for a half hour.  She almost fainted when she was done and they had to bring a chair on the Lokomat and let her sit down while they got the straps off of her.  Her therapist to a wheelchair for her and offered to get her some food.  I had picked up Arby's for us though, so I told her I had something in the car.  Melissa ate some fries on our way and then when we got to her house we ate our sandwiches.  I left so I could get home to see Adam.  He was with Papa.  I picked up a gift card for Bed Bath and Beyond and when I got home I ordered a new Blow Dryer on line.
I also ordered Emily's (our Pastor's daughter) baby shower gifts.  Her shower isn't till Feb. 25, but I wanted to make sure I ordered before things were picked over.  Adam and I had fun.  He figured out how to FaceTime me.  I sure was surprised when I looked at my phone and saw him on it talking to me.  He is so cute and so much fun to have around.  Stacie and Kody came around 4:30 to pick us up and take us to Kimmy's.  Kimmy, Jared and the boys were outside when we got there.  We put on our boots and headed out to the barn to see the lamb and sheep.  It was so much fun.  The lamb was so cute and cuddly and Fern was very nice and is such a great mom.  Stacie held the lamb, then Kody and then me.  Kody wanted to go with the boys and catch a chicken to hold.  They caught one and he was so happy to hold it.  We went in the house and warmed up and had a nice time visiting.
Kody loved playing with the boys and flying Jacob's helicopter.  Adam wanted to come home with us and spend the night, so he packed his stuff.  I sure am happy to have him come and Papa sure was happy when he saw him and found out he was spending the night.  On our way home, we stopped at Riverside and ate.  Bill met us there.  The food was delicious and we had so much fun visiting and listening to Kody and Adam.  Adam and I played 3-13 and he sure beat me bad.
We watched The Blue Planet on Netflix.  Such a fun night.

1/17/19....Took Melissa to therapy, Organized pictures and put them on a Kingston for Wes

I got up at 5:45 a.m..  I took my shower, did my hair, read my Bible and spent time worshipping the Lord and praying.  I even thought I was going to have time for a little nap before I went to take Melissa to therapy.  I was thinking she had therapy at 8:30 a.m., even though I looked and told Bill it was at 8 last night.  Melissa called at 8:01 and was kind of panicky sounding and said she had therapy at 8 and could I call them to let them know we would be late.  She had been talking to Vikki and for some reason she thought she had therapy at 8:30 too even though at 8:01 she realized it was at 8.  I called right away and told them it was my fault,  They asked me how late we would be and I told them 20-25 minutes.  They said she could come at 9 for P.T., but wouldn't be able to have O.T. today
I got dressed and headed right there and visited with Melissa while she finished getting ready.  God must have been protecting us from something where both of us got mixed up.  We got there and she had one of our favorite girls for therapy.  She tested her and Melissa passed all of her goals with flying colors.  She had to walk a long way with the quad cane, go up the stairs with the quad cane and then with just the one rail, had to get up without using her hands, and stand with her eyes closed without hanging on. Those are the ones I remember.  I was very impressed with how well Melissa did.  I haven't seen her in therapy for a while so really notice an improvement with everything.  I am thanking the Lord and continuing to pray for her.  So proud of how hard she works and how she continues to trust the Lord and give Him the glory.

1/16/19...Yay, No school today so Kimmy and the boys came over again. Went to Vikki's.

Adam, Jacob, and Eli

Adam, Eli, Isaac, Peyton and Jacob

Adam and Lucy

Fern had her lamb.  Adam named him King because he has a light ring (crown)

Our deck was so icy yesterday and today.  It melted where the sun hit, but lots of ice still where shaded.  Adam and Eli had fun sliding on it.  I took a video, but can't post videos
Isaac and Peyton in their headbands Jared's mom made for them.  She also made really cute slippers for Vikki.  So sweet of her!

None of the grandkids had school today.  I didn't go to the SportsZone because it was so icy out.  I took the rest of the Christmas Decorations down.  Kimmy and the boys came over again!  I had just salted the sidewalk in the front and the driveway and opened the garage door because the sun wasn't shining on them.  I just finished when Kimmy and the boys pulled in.  I warned them right away that it was slippery.  The boys came in and Kimmy walked Wyatt outside.  She forgot the sidewalk on the side of the garage was slippery and slipped and fell.  I felt so bad for her.  So happy she didn't break anything.  Found out later in the evening, our friend Debbie Davis, fell on her porch and broke her wrist and shoulder.
I sure was happy to get to spend the day with Kimmy, the boys and Wyatt again.  We played 3-13.  Bill was the big winner. Kimmy came in second.  Jacob and my scores were pretty close.  We had fun.  The boys ate pizza and Kimmy, Bill and I ate egg salad sandwiches.  We went to Vikki's for a while and visited with her.  We left in time for Kimmy to get home before dark.  She dropped me off and the boys got their stuff from my house.  Bill had a meeting for the Marine Corp. League in Flint.  I watched Planet Earth on Netflix.  God's creation is sure amazing.  Watched a Hallmark movie when Bill got home.

Tues, 1/15/19...Took Melissa to therapy. It was pretty icy in the morning. Checked to see if any grandkid's schools were closed, didn't see any. Kimmy called to say her boys didn't have school and check to see about the roads here. They came to visit and spent the afternoon.

Wyatt and Eli

Adam and Jacob

Papa Bill, Adam, Eli and Jacob

Adam, Jacob and Eli

I didn't go to breakfast because it was icy.  I went at 8:30 to Melissa's to take her to therapy.  Our road was very slippery, but the main roads were fine.  I picked Melissa up (I wore a face mask so she wouldn't catch what I have (think it's sinus, but could be a cold)  Didn't want to take any chances with her.  I was so happy to see her, but sad that I couldn't hug her.  I will make up for it when I am healthy again.  I dropped her off at therapy and came home and took a short nap.  Went back to pick Melissa up and watched her walk with the quad cain.  She was going backwards.  She did really good and did great going forward.  I love seeing her progress.  I took her to meet Bruce at Evan's Dr. Appt. and dropped her off.  Came home and put some more Christmas decorations away.
Only have the stairway to do yet.  Kimmy called to see who the roads around here were and then she and the boys came over to spend the afternoon.  I was so happy to see them.  I couldn't hug them (boo hoo) but was so happy to get to spend time with them.  Kimmy and I looked at all the pictures from our trip.  The boys opened their souvenirs we brought back.  They were so cute picking them out.  Papa had a special one picked out for Jacob with a musical instrument on it.
Kimmy left before it got dark out as it is supposed to sleet and freeze again tonight.  I was so happy when I heard she was home safe and sound.  We watched a Hallmark movie and then went to bed.

Mon, 1/14/19 Walked at Sportszone, Took Tree and some other Christmas decorations down, Picked up Max, Evan and Hailey from school, took Hailey to Drivers Training

I was happy to see Max and Evan today.  Happy to see Hailey too but she had to go to Driver's training so no time for a picture.

I got to the SportsZone late and Bill was walking with our neighbor across the road.  We went to her house once for a garage sale and she has some health problem so we prayed for her.  That's the only time I have talked to her.  She walks a lot down our road so I wave to her lots though.  Bill had to go to an appointment at the VA, so he left and Sue and I continued to walk and had a nice talk.
She got her five miles in so she left.  I finished two more laps, so I would have my 5 miles.  Came home and started searching on line for tickets to For King and Country Concert.  Called the Dow Event Center and they were cheaper there because you don't have to pay a fee, so I went and picked up seven tickets....for the Russell family, Hailey and me.  I am really excited to go to their concert on April 4th.  All the kids are really excited too.  Hailey was so happy when I showed her the tickets.  So were Kimmy and the kids when I sent them a picture.  I came home and took the Christmas ornaments off the tree and packed them in the right boxes.  Took lots of other decorations down too.  Busy day. I picked Max and Evan up at school.  We stopped at McDonalds and got a hamburger for Hailey and a lemonade.  Then we picked her up from school.  She ate quick on our way to take her to Center Courts for Driver's Training.  I sure was happy to see all the kids.  I have missed them so much.  Can't wait to see Jacob, Adam, Eli, and Jack. I took the boys home and then headed home.  I got 15,183 steps today and 22 flights of stairs.  Made Chili for dinner.  Didn't have any tomato juice, so while I made the chili, Bill ran to the store and picked some up for me.  I ate two bowls of chili, and Bill ate three.  It was my award winning chili recipe and it was delicious.  (I won the chili cook off two years in a row at the Harley Dealer, one first place and one third place)  That's why I wrote award winning ha ha.  Bill and I watched a movie.  I started catching up on my blog

1/13/19...Woke up with a sore throat. Bill went to church, but I stayed home. Got unpacked. Did all of our laundry.

Woke up with a sore throat and stuffy.  Wasn't sure if it was sinus or a cold, so I stayed home.  Don't want to spread anything.  Did all the laundry from our trip and got everything unpacked.  Relaxed the rest of the day and worked on catching up with my blog. Talked to all of the girls.  Sure am glad I can use my phone now.  Bill and I went to Olive Garden for lunch since I didn't have any food in the house.  Pretty sure it's sinus I have, because my throat is better.  We saw Pat from church at the Olive Garden and talked to her and her husband for a while.

1/12/19...Our ship arrived in Miami early in the morning. We went down for breakfast, then went and got our luggage, and went to the Amber Palace for Early Flights to get off the ship. Caught our flight and everything went smoothly on our trip home.

Our ship as it came into Miami
At the Miami Airport waiting to take off at 10:25 a.m.
It was clear and beautiful out.  We sat by the an exit, so we had to tell two people that we would assist the flight attendants if there was an emergency.  We couldn't sit there if we weren't willing to help.
Bill and I on our flight to Charlotte

Charlotte's Airport was beautiful and huge.  I loved the rocking chairs like at Cracker Barrell

We saw a Chick-fil-A and a Cin-a-Bun. Of course we picked the Chick-fill-A to eat at.  It was delicious.
We sat across the aisle from each other on our way to Detroit.

Got up at 4 am.  Gayla texted me a goodbye message at around 4:30.  Looked out our balcony door and saw we were in Miami getting ready to dock soon. It was dark out and the city was beautiful!  We went to the Lido on the 9th floor and ate breakfast at 5:30.  Went to our room and got all of our luggage and went down to Amber Palace for Early flight departures.  We saw our friends from India when they passed by and talked to us.  They were going on a short excursion of Miami.  Sashoon came back and shook our hands and said he hoped we had a safe trip.  We sat for a while until they called us out.  It was 7:30 a.m. when we left and our flight was at 10:20 out is Miami.  We were in the first group leaving the ship, showed our passports and went outside and got a taxi.  We had a lady taxi driver and she did a great job getting us to the airport and letting us know we check in quickly outside.  We did that and got through the short prechecked line.  I got right through, but Bill had to do the X-ray thing because of his knee replacements.  It wasn’t too long though.  We had an hour and a half wait before we could board, so we had muffins, a coffee and a cappuccino. Time passed pretty quickly.  We had a nice clear flight that was very smooth.  Got to Charlotte NC at 1:30. We had a two hour wait, so we ate lunch at a Chick Fil A.  Was that ever good.  We were walking to our gate and saw a people mover so got on it.  Because we were looking at it, we missed our turn.  We realized we were in C and needed to be in E.  It was a huge airport and very nice with lots of restaurants, Starbucks, and shops.  We back tracked and found our turn and got to the right gate.  Only had to wait a half hour to board.  Got on our plane and took off at 2:46 p.m.  Bill and I were across the aisle from each other.  There were only two seats on each side instead of three.  It was a much louder and rougher ride.  The lady I sat with was from Saginaw.  She went to St. Peter Lutheran Church.  The lady dad sat with was a Christian too.  After we landed and got our Luggage, and then took the hotel shuttle to pick up our car.  We headed home, and I talked to the girls on the way.  Yay.!  So happy to be able to talk to them again!!! We  got home at 7 p.m. Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over!  We sure were happy to see them.
