We went to church.  Worship was amazing and Pastor Justin preached a good message.  New Hillsong program for kids started.  After church we came home and Bill got ready to go to Pat's Food Center to collect money for the Marine Corp. League.  I ate and then went outside and relaxed in the sun for a while, then moved in the shade.  It was so warm and beautiful out with no wind.  I loved sitting and watching the birds.  Vikki came over and we sat outside for a while.  We went to see Bill at Pat's for a little while, then came back and sat outside again.  She took some great pictures of the birds.  She called on my cracked fitbit for me and they are sending me a new one.  I sure appreciate that she took care of it for me.  Bill and I went to Bruce and Melissa's for Evan's Birthday celebration.
We had yummy taco's with many delicious toppings.  It was so delicious.  After that we sang happy birthday and had cake and ice cream.  Then Evan opened his presents.  He got a huge styrofoam airplane and we went outside while he flew it.  Then Bruce, Bill and I gave it a try too.  So much fun.
We came home and watched When Calls the Heart

Me, Dan, Don, Renee, Bill, Barb, Elaine, Mark, Marty, Luis, Bill and Wes ready for our ride to Port Sanilac!
Went shopping at the Mennonite Store in Snover

Dinner at Stone Lodge in Port Sanilac

Port Sanilac

While I got ready, Bill went and picked up donuts from Tim Hortons.  When he got home we went to Wes and Gayla's to turn in our money for Run for the Son and enjoyed donuts, coffee and fellowship.
We had a good turn out.  Bill, Sabrina, Loraine, Kevin, Jeff and Julie came,  but couldn't go on the ride.  We raised $14,000 for missions (including a $5,000 match gift). Such a blessing from the Lord.  It was in the 50's when we took off, but got up to the mid 60's.  Such a nice ride.  We stopped at the Mennonite store in Snover.  Bought some dried green beans and dried mixed veggies.  I am going to dehydrate some from the garden this year.  These tasted delicious.  Bill bought some chocolate covered almonds.  I also bought some Molasses cookies.  We'd better start walking 5 days a week.  We left there and went to the Stone Lodge in Port Sanilac.  The food was wonderful.  Bill had a perch dinner and I had their homemade pot pie.  We drove along the water for a while.  It was beautiful, but cooler by the water (47).  The ride home was sunny and warm.  Worked on weeding my flowerbeds when I got home.  Bill cut the grass.  I sat out on the front porch for a while and read my Bible.
Watched an old Cary Grant and Loretta Young movie.

First Oriole of the year on the feeder

The oriole in mid air flying at the feeder.  The woodpecker was drinking on the other side.

They drank together for quite a while.  So beautiful

Love how beautiful the oriole is sitting in the tree

I got up at 4 a.m. and went to Melissa's at 5.  The kids were still sleeping.  Melissa filled me in on what I needed to do to get the kids ready for school.  They left at 5:20. I rested until it was time to get the kids us/  My alarm went off, so I went upstairs and woke the kids up singing...the ants song, my version, and the Good Morning song.  I woke Evan up first.  When he saw it was me, he said, i'm so glad you are here Nana.  He gave me a big wonderful hug.  I went and woke Jack next and he was just as happy and excited as Evan and gave me the nicest hug.    Then I woke Max and got the same reaction with a super big loving hug.  Hailey was last and I got a smile and a hug from her although, not quite as much excitement.  She was excited when I told her I was taking her to school, so she didn't have to ride with her usual ride and be late.  They all ate and I put the stuff Melissa had packed in containers in their lunches.  I helped with Evan and Jack's memory verse.  They knew it pretty well and really well by the time we got done.  Evan practiced some spelling with me too.  I prayed over the kids before they left.  Vikki picked them up and took them to school. It was misting out.  I dropped Hailey off at school and headed home.  Came home and rested for a while.  Read my Bible.  Vikki dropped the kids off for me to watch while she went to her luncheon with the ladies she works with.  She won a $10 Starbucks Card which made her very happy.  I made spaghetti O's and meatballs for the kids.  They had an ice cream sandwich afterward.  They played afterward. Melissa called me to say the made it, but her surgery had to be cancelled because they forgot to tell her not to take Motrin a few days before.  They already had the IV in her.  Bummer.
She has to go back next week now.  Poor thing.  Vikki came and Bill watched the kids while her and I went to a couple of really nice stores in Shields.  We had fun.  She borrowed the truck to help Misty pick up her mom's new couch.  Bill and I went to an estate sale Vikki told us about.  I got a nice wash tub, some small containers and and umbrella.  We met Pat and Rich at Riverside Restaurant and had dinner.  Went to Cabella's afterward but didn't get anything.  Came home and watched jeopardy and the news.

Thursday, 5/2/19...Got a haircut, Prayed for our Nation as it is National Day of Prayer, Baked Cookies, Had Officer's Meeting

Catherine called me and changed my 10:40 appointment to 11.  I went and she cut my hair.  It sure had gotten long.  She had just got back from Georgia because her sister's husband who was only 54 passed away in his sleep from a heart attack.  So sad.  She did a great job cutting my hair as usual.
It was too late to go to the National Day of Prayer at Hopevale, so Bill and I watched it on TV at the Whitehouse.  It was an amazing time of prayer for our nation and worship of our Lord and Savior.
I baked my Grandma Daisy's sour cream cookies and put a raisin in the middle like she used to.  I made chicken for dinner and then got ready for our officer's meeting.  We had 9 of us here and the meeting went great.  Everyone loved the cookies.  Vicki Beemer brought some chocolate chip cookies she made too!  Wes and Gayla stayed and we played 3-13 after everyone left.  Bill was the big winner.

5/1/19...Walked at SportsZone. Took Missy to therapy, Went with Bill to meeting in Bay City, Went to Nori's in Auburn to eat

Rainy, cool day.  Birds and bunny eating lots today.
Shani painting her picture
Kelly put this picture of her on Facebook.  Funny because when I saw it was the same picture my niece, Shani, was painting, I looked and noticed the white headband and Shani's sweatshirt next to it.  Shani said yes it was definitely her.

Walked at SportsZone two miles with Bill and our neighbor, Sue.  We visited as we walked which made the time go fast.  Made us oatmeal and then read our Bibles.  Went to take Melissa to therapy.
Came home and shampooed the living room and family room carpets.  Sure looks nice.  Picked Melissa up and her therapist was telling her how great she did today.  I dropped her off at home and met Bill at Meijer and we drove together in the truck to the meeting he scheduled in Bay City.  After that we went to look at a rubbermaid storage thing like I have to keep my cushions for my outdoor swings in.  We got there and saw that it was just a short one, not like the ones we have, so we told them we didn't want it.  We were in Auburn, so we went to Nori's restaurant to eat.
I had a chicken stir fry and Bill had perch.  It was very good.  We picked up my car and came home and watched jeopardy.  James won again.  We are enjoying watching him.  We watched a Hallmark movie.

Tuesday, 4/30/19..HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY TO EVAN! Went to Breakfast, Stopped at Melissa's, Went to Small Group

Bought some storage containers for garage shelves

Happy Birthday Evan!  We love you so much!  You bring us so much joy.  Went to breakfast. After that I stopped at Melissa's.  She needed to get a blood test before Friday, so I told her I could take her.  We stopped and got coney dogs at Old Town Drive In and went to her house to eat them.  I stopped at Walmart and got some storage containers for on my shelves in the garage.  Getting shelves organized is fun.  Looks so nice.  Bill and I went to small group.  Fun tonight!  Ron was in Indiana and John was in Nebraska, so we had a small group.  We watched Jeopardy afterward.

Monday, 4/29/19...Walked at SportsZone, Started organizing garage, Did small group lesson

Bill and I walked 2 miles at the SportsZone.  Filled all of the hummingbird and oriole feeders.  Had a Pileated Woodpecker in the yard.  I was talking to Vikki, so didn't get a picture.  I was too slow.
Put shelves I got from the garage sale in the garage.  Great deal!  Thanks Kimmy for taking me into getting them.  I didn't want to take up all the space in the van so hesitated.  It worked out great though,  because we stacked out stuff on the shelves.  Bill met us at Leaman's for lunch, and we put the shelves in his truck and he took them home.  So happy to have them now.  Did my small group lesson.  Watched Jeopardy with Bill.
