Dinner at Stone Lodge in Port Sanilac |
Port Sanilac
While I got ready, Bill went and picked up donuts from Tim Hortons. When he got home we went to Wes and Gayla's to turn in our money for Run for the Son and enjoyed donuts, coffee and fellowship.
We had a good turn out. Bill, Sabrina, Loraine, Kevin, Jeff and Julie came, but couldn't go on the ride. We raised $14,000 for missions (including a $5,000 match gift). Such a blessing from the Lord. It was in the 50's when we took off, but got up to the mid 60's. Such a nice ride. We stopped at the Mennonite store in Snover. Bought some dried green beans and dried mixed veggies. I am going to dehydrate some from the garden this year. These tasted delicious. Bill bought some chocolate covered almonds. I also bought some Molasses cookies. We'd better start walking 5 days a week. We left there and went to the Stone Lodge in Port Sanilac. The food was wonderful. Bill had a perch dinner and I had their homemade pot pie. We drove along the water for a while. It was beautiful, but cooler by the water (47). The ride home was sunny and warm. Worked on weeding my flowerbeds when I got home. Bill cut the grass. I sat out on the front porch for a while and read my Bible.
Watched an old Cary Grant and Loretta Young movie.
