I saw these squishy's at Aldi's and decided to surprise Peyton and Isaac on Valentine's Day since they stay with me and I figured they would be here that day.  Ended up that Valentine's Day is on a Sunday so gave them their surprises today.  Vikki sent me this picture of them.  Such cuties!

Yay!  I got the hallway doors and trim all painted.  We found a white door for the closet that will go with it nicely

Got a text from Kimmy to pray for Jacob because he had a painful lump under his arm.  Boy did this Nana ever pray.  I kept getting, Only Believe from the Lord, so that's what I did.  We got up early and ate breakfast so Peyton and Isaac could start their Reading testing right at 8.  They signed on and Isaac connected, but Peyton's computer said not connected.  Isaac helped Peyton get on and then the teacher caught her and another kid up with the instructions.  There were 40 reading questions, but somehow Peyton got 43 questions.  It was like a MEAP test to see where they are at.  After they finished, I gave them some free time on their devices so they could relax a little.  Then we started spelling.  We didn't read today, because they did lots of reading for their test.  We played 3-13 and Isaac and I were really doing the math with our high scores.  Peyton was subtracting by 10's lots.  We ate lunch, then Vikki picked them up and they all headed home.  Kimmy called and I was happy the boys were coming to stay with us while Jacob went to his doctor appt.  I met them down on the corner as Jacob got out of school late so we wanted to save them time getting there.  Adam and I played 3-13.  This time I my score was much better.  I ended up winning even though I didn't really want my Adam losing.  He's always so sweet.  Eli came out and watched us.  We snacked on some candy fruit slices. Jacob got a good report.  It's a cyst thats inflamed.  Nothing to worry about she said, he will just take antibiotics.  Thanked God right away.  Jacob texted me that he passed his test for Delta College.  He couldn't study for it at home because the computer wouldn't work, but still did great.  Now he can do duel enrollment in the fall.  I am so proud of him!  Way to go Jacob!!! When they got back, we all sat in the family room and visited for a while. They had to get back home to the sheep, so didn't stay too long.  Bill and I went to Menard's and he showed me the doors for the closet he found.  I liked them a lot so we will get them when they have their 11% sale.  Can't put them in until the carpet is laid in March anyway.  We got take out at Souper Cafe and came home and ate it.  I finished painting the doors and trim in the hallway upstairs.  Yay was a great feeling to have that job done.  Sure am glad Kimmy got me started with painting upstairs!!!

Taken from the steps of the bathroom door
We are getting a new closet door that's white to replace the wooden one.
This is the bedroom with all the stuff from the other bedroom we painted in it.

Got up early. Gave the closet door trim in the hallway a coat of primer.  Made oatmeal and coffee for our breakfast.  Found out Rody’s mom was watching Peyton and Isaac so I gave the other doors and trim a coat of primer too.  Finished that and quit painting for the day.  Picked up some things at Pat’s.  Came home and ate dinner.  Vikki dropped Peyton and Isaac off to spend the night.  They have to start their school testing early in the morning and it can take up to three hours, so I get them overnight!  I picked up Valentines cupcakes for a treat, but They came in excited because their daddy got them decorated donuts to eat here.  Vikki stayed for a while and we all had lemon tea.  We watched a movie our Church put on.  Peyton and Isaac wanted to watch Counting on so we did.

Tuesday, 2/9/21, Kimmy had sheep born today!!! Peyton and Isaac came and we did school stuff, Painted another coat on trim, Painted other side of door and hallway trim to the door

Evan had Melissa send me this silly picture of him today
Fyrne's lambs...I love baby lambs...can't wait to see them in person
Painted this side of the door
Door with trim in hallway with one coat of paint
Going to paint all hallway doors white this week

I was said when I got a message from Kimmy saying lambs were born during the night to a new mom and both died.  Kimmy messaged me when the kids were here that Fyrne was going to give birth and the lamb was coming head first  We stopped and prayed right away. We were so happy to get the news that Fyrne had two boy lambs.  We finished our spelling and then did our reading.  The words are harder this week.  I painted another coat on all of the trim and on the registers in the bedroom, while they had some time on their devices.  We ate lunch after that.  Vikki came and she ate a sloppy Joe and some cheesy potatoes too.  They left and I went to pick up some cards.  I can't get at my birthday cards because they are in the room with everything from the other room piled against the drawers.  I needed to get cards out so decided it was a good day.  Adam texted me and said the van broke down.  When I got back home, I painted the other side of the door and the trim around it in the hallway.  Evan called me and said his poem he needed to learn for school.  He said it and did such a great job.  It was a poem called "I Have a Little Shadow" that I had learned when I was in school.  He was happy about that and so was I.  We watched a movie in the evening.

Monday, 2/8/21, Painted second coat on closet shelves, helped Bill sand wall and then painted it, Vikki and Peyton came over

Bill patched the hole and we both sanded and got it smooth so I could paint it.

I got the glass cooled and cleaned to the fireplace.  I forgot to was it when I cleaned it last time and you could hardly see the flames.

Ate our breakfast and read our Bibles.  Played good worship music while I gave the shelves the second coat.  We went to pick out carpet and get it ordered, looked at closet doors, and also looked at shades.  We got burgers and concrete mixers from Culvers.  Sure tasted good.
Vikki and Peyton came over and surprised Bill with some more of Vikki's homemade delicious salsa.  He loves it.  She made his hot, but brought me some mild to enjoy.  It was super delicious.  Bill started eating mine and said it didn't even have a nip to it.  Then she told him there were two jars in the bag, and we got his out for him.  We also had some of Vikki's bean dip that was leftover from yesterday.  It is delicious too.  I was so full, I couldn't even eat a sloppy Joe.  We visited for a while and then she wanted to get home before it got dark out.  Bill and I set up the smart bulbs we got today at Best Buy.
I painted the other side of the shelves and also painted the grey on the wall that had been repaired.  It looks so nice all done now.

Sunday, 2/7/21, Helped with kids church, Jacob slept in, Finished painting room with Kimmy and Jared, Everyone came to watch Super Bowl and eat except Melissa and family. Sure do miss them being able to come.

Jacob with Peyton and Isaac's birds!

I got up early to make cheesy potatoes.  We went to church.  Jacob slept in because we have to register for church by Thursday and we didn't know he would be spending the night then.  They have a waiting list for church because only a certain number of people can be in the building.  I had to help in Kids church today.  Lisa helped with me.  Jacob W. was a helper too which made me so happy.  He is one of my favorite kiddos at church.  We had 13 kids.  They have 4 big round tables set up with only a few at a table and all are distanced.  I loved seeing the kids I have had in my class.  Shoveled the sidewalks and deck really quick when we got out of the car at home.  Jacob was up and had eaten breakfast.  I made the sloppy Joes and put them in a crockpot.  Bill had therapy at 1.  Jacob and I played 3-13.  He was ahead most of the game, but I won in the end.  I started giving the trim and the door a second coat of paint.  Kimmy, Jared and Eli got here and Kimmy and Jared helped me paint.
Vikki and her family got here, then Kenzie and Travis came shortly after.  They brought Mylee.  She was such a good girl and didn't even have an accident.  Sure is a wonderful puppy.  We ate sloppy Joes, cheesy potatoes, French fries, chips, and had lots of snacks too.  We watched the Super Bowl.  I kind of wanted Kansas City to win, but also the other team.  Bill's Sister's and family live in Kansas and I knew they would be happy.  I was happy to see Tom Brady win another Super Bowl.  He is pretty amazing!  Kimmy, Jared and I played 3-13.  Jared was the winner.  It was as Super Fun Day!

Sat. 2/6/21...Another windy cold day, Vikki, Peyton, Isaac and Eli came over, Kimmy, Jared and Jacob came over

 Jared painting

Vikki pointing out that Jared got a speck of paint on his clothes.  He wasn't wearing paint clothes and Kimmy kept telling him not to get paint on his good jeans.
Adam and I played 3-13.  We tied, so Adam said we should play one more Ace round to see who wins.  He beat me bad that hand!
Isaac and Peyton seeing how long they can do this. They are pretty good at it!
Eli laughing because I asked him where he hid my angels.  I really put them in a box to play a trick on him.  Got him good too!
 Adam, Peyton and Eli
Papa and Jacob
 Isaac in his favorite spot
 Jacob
 I won our 3-13 game
Jacob and Papa when we played dice
Jacob had to piece the score sheet papa ripped up.  Jacob and Papa both had to get 50 to win.  Both of them kept shaking but always shook over.  I got close where i just need 150 points.  Jacob shook the 50 he needed so he was the winner.  That's why Papa tore up the score sheet.  He always has a habit of doing that.
Adam with Peyton and Isaac's birds

Kimmy and Jared's new pottery looks beautiful in the shop

Adam slept in.  I was sure surprised.  Bill had to go to Sandusky.  Adam and I ate, then watched worship groups on the tv.  Vikki and the kids came over and watched worship on the tv with us. Jacob had his last driver's training driving class.  He can get his permit now!  Yay.  Kimmy, Jared and Jacob came over.  Kimmy, Jared, Vikki, Jacob and Adam got the carpet out and staples out of the floor.  I helped with staples too.  Jacob hauled the carpet out to the road for us.  He sure is strong.  Adam fetched the vacuum and whatever we needed from the shed.  Bill patched the wall where the central vacuuming used to be.  Vikki, Kimmy, Jared and I painted the closets upstairs.  Kimmy and Jared painted all the trim, and a coat on the entrance door.  We got lots done.  We all ate hot dogs and had chips and then Oreos/muffins afterward.  Vikki took Adam home with her to spend the night, we got to have Jacob spend the night, and Eli went home to be the only child which he loves for a night.  Jacob, Papa and I played 3-13 and I won.  We played dice and ate snacks.  Papa and Jacob were so close at the end.  They each needed 50 pts.  Jacob got it first and was the winner.  Papa was the big loser for the night.  We watched a movie.
