Thursday, 2/25/21...Took Peyton and Isaac to Kimmy's with me to spend the day...Kenzie and Travis came, gave Travis the Bible Bill and I got for him, very fun day

 I finally got to watch Kimmy trim some pottery!  She's amazing!

Vikki brought Peyton and Isaac over and we went to Kimmy's.  The pictures are actually in reverse order, so our day started with the bottom picture.  I didn't want to go to all the work to change them around because there were so many pictures.  We watched Kimmy trim pots and bottoms, put holes in the bottom and little grooves. It was so much fun for us to watch.

We visited after she was finished and drank our coffee.  When Kenzie and Travis got there, I gave Travis the Bible Bill and I got for him.  He was so happy and so was I.  He shared his background about when his family came here and why.  He also share that He is watching the Chosen, and didn't know who the people were.  Kenzie said she knew them all though.  Travis didn't even hear about Jesus until Middle School.  We had such a nice talk, and I love listening to him talk about his background and family and how they came here.  He sure is interesting to talk to and is just the nicest person.  Kimmy put out lots of meats, cheese, lettuce, onion, and condiments for us to make subs.  They were delicious!  Kenzie even ate two.  I don't see her eat that much usually.  We had chips and cheese balls with our lunch too, and pop.  Thank you Kimmy!  After lunch, Jared came home, and we all started carving on succulent pots and bottoms.  It was so much fun.  Eli brought out some of his amazing drawings he's done and showed us.  I went to his room to hear him play his clarinet, but he put it away and just wanted to give me a science test.  After I got the first two questions wrong, I went back to carving.  Peyton and Isaac had so much fun making their pottery and also carving Aunt Kimmy's.  We all went out to see the lambs after that.  Lots of Ewes and lambs.  The kids loved holding the chicken too.  So much fun on the farm!  What a great day.  Bill put the closet door in upstairs.  He still needs to adjust it and put the knob on it.  He did a great job!  I'm going to paint it, because it is whiter than the trim and other doors.  

Wed., 2/24/21, Vikki brought Peyton and Isaac, Started Our Disciple Book, Went to Bible Study

Another warm day compared to what we have had.  43 degrees, but a little windy out there.  Vikki brought Peyton and Isaac.  She had a cup of coffee before heading to work.  The kids wanted to read before doing spelling today.  We switched it up and had fun, other than while we were reading the Bible about David.  It was where Nathan was telling David about the rich man who had lots of sheep and the poor man who only had one that he loved.  When we got to the part about the rich man taking the poor man's sheep, Isaac started crying.  I asked him what was the matter and he said he was sad about his bird dying.  We talked about how sad things happen, but then we know how to comfort others if something happens to them, because we have gone through stuff and we get comforted.  I prayed for him and then he started feeling better.  We had time to play 3-13.  This was my day to win.  They sure are good little players though.  The carpet guy called and said our carpet came in.  We are glad it is not backordered and they will be able to install it on the 9th. We went to Barnes and Nobles and got a nice Bible for Travis.  We wrote in it and will give it to him tomorrow.  We went to Culvers afterward and picked up a burger for Bill, and Olive Burger for me, fries to split and we each got a Concrete Mixer.  We did the first lesson in our Discipleship book.  It's a very good book we are using.  I went to Bible Study at 6:30 at church.  Sat in the back row and left right when it was done.  Waved to some people on the way out, but didn't stick around.  Vikki B. sent me a video of Iain's band concert where he played the drums.  He did a good job, and I was happy to see him play.  Got the newsletter out for Faith Riders.  Sad to hear today that our friend who was in Faith Riders had another stroke.  Praying for him, his wife and their family.

Tues., 2/23/21, Peyton and Isaac came, Went for a walk with Melissa and Hailey

This morning had a bagel with onion and chive cream cheese and coffee instead of oatmeal. Vikki brought Peyton and Isaac and she had a cup of coffee with me before she left for work.  She showed me a very sweet note Peyton had written her.  It was so precious.  We did spelling and they had some hard words again, but did good with practice.  We read some in our three books.  They wanted to play Tonk after that.  We played, but they get such little scores none of us were even close to 100 so the game would be over.  We even had to quit for a while to eat lunch.  We played Tonk until Vikki came.  We still didn't finish, so decided to make 50 the cutoff instead of 100.  These two don't pick up 2's or even A's.  They go for the Jacks and Jokers which are 0 points.  They sure do good though.  I still won, but not by much.  It was so sunny and warm out... 46 degrees today!  I went over to Melissa's at 4:30 and she and Hailey went for a walk around the subdivision with me.  We had fun visiting and sure enjoyed the warm sunshine.  It was a little breezy, so Melissa and I wore hats and mittens...not Hailey though....she's a true teenager.  I came home and Bill had a zoom board meeting with Doug and the group.  I had prayer with the prayer team at church.  We had a Clementine when I got home.  They were juicy and good!  We watched Counting On.  

Monday, 2/22/21,

 My hot husband now has a hot wife to go with him.  I put some ashes that had been in a ash can for a day and a half in the garbage.  Didn't see any sparks, but dumped water on them just in case.  Put the trash can outside to be safe and covered it good.  3 days later this is what happened.  Melted the bottom.  Yikes!

Menard's had an 11% off sale so we got all of our closet doors today. These pictures show the hallway closet doors.  Looks like they will match the trim perfectly.

 I got up early so I could check at 8 and see what appointments they had at the Secretary of State's office.  The only time that came up was 9:10.  I filled out what I needed to and printed off the directions of what to do when I got there.  Got ready quickly and headed out.  I didn't realize schools were closed because of the snow we got.  Jacob, Adam and Eli's school was closed and so was Hailey's.  Our road was slippery, but the main roads were fine.  I got there and went to the door at my appointment time, the girl came and peeked out the door and asked my name and what time my appt. was.  Then she called me in and sent me to a desk in a deserted corner and told me to fill out the papers and get in line after that.  I got on my circle in line and they called a guy ahead of me.  Then another girl far down from where he was called and took care of me.  Easy and safe.  Adam texted me that he had a snow day.  That's when I found out schools were closed.  So sad that Oz, Kimmy's lamb that Kenzie named and Eli showed me, died yesterday.  Still sad about Isaac's bird too.  What a day.  I did get a shock and then a laugh later, when I saw the garbage can melted and the bag stuck to the bottom.  It had melted and let ash through on the sidewalk, so I cleaned up that mess.  Then I thought about my hot husband and got a good laugh because he has a hot wife.  Good thing I could see some humor in it.  When Bill got home, he just said he noticed the can had melted.  He was real nice about it and didn't even tease me or make me feel bad.  We went to Menard's to get our closet doors, two silver door handles, and a solar light to match our other ones.  I didn't remember we needed to get a garbage can until we got back home.  Bill was being naughty, so I quickly helped load the closet doors on the cart at the store, then when we got home carried all but one into the garage.  He beat me to that when he was having me unlock the front door.  I saw the door to the upstairs closet leaning on the front porch, so I beat him and carried it upstairs before he tried.  I don't want him hurting that shoulder and having to start all over again.  Kenzie and Travis called and talked for a while to Bill and I.  Vikki Face Timed me to show me Isaac's new bird.  Melissa called me so I hung up on Vikki, then Vikki Face Timed me back so I hung up on Melissa.  Talked to Gayla for a while today too.
