Kimmy and Jacob came over around 9, after Jacob got a haircut.  Charlie stopped in to drop off my dishes.  We all visited for a while, then he left,  Jacob, Kimmy and I started a game of 3-13.  Kenzie got here with Mylee shortly after, so we quit playing and went out on the deck to sit.  Mylee and Kit Kat did pretty well together, although Kit Kat did show her teeth a couple of times.  I gave Kenzie their Easter gifts finally and Hailey's invitation.  Kenzie had to leave.  Kimmy, Jacob and I had sandwiches and salad for lunch.  Kimmy and I walked around outside and looked at my plants.  Bill said he would drop Jacob off at school, so Kimmy could stay and visit longer.  We found out Vikki has Covid.  I feel so bad for her.  She doesn't sound good at all.  We are praying lots for her and for protection for Rody and the kids.  Kimmy and I went to Sam's Club to look for Clematis plants, but they didn't have any.  We had Mylee in the van, so we parked by a shade tree.  Mylee was so good.  We came back to my house and talked to Vikki some more.  We talked to Melissa too.  Kimmy and Jared went to the school to say goodbye to Jacob.  He was already on the bus, but saw them and came outside to say goodbye to them.  He is such a great kid!  I am praying for my boy!
I know he will have a fun time and enjoy playing his clarinet at Disney.  They are playing for a movie.  I worked outside pulling weeds and transplanted my Lamb's Ear plant.
I also moved my Yarro plant to my new garden where it will get more sun.  It wasn't doing to well in the woods.

In the evening we went to Hailey's Spring Concert.  It was an amazing concert and Hailey and all of the kids did such a great job.  It was a little cool at first, but then the sun came out and it warmed up.  Bill got me a Mocha and him a coffee from Tom's Coffee Truck.  He sat with Bruce and Jack, and Melissa, Evan and I sat closer where we could see Hailey to video her.  Melissa had a Mocha too and Evan and Jack had hot chocolate.  We stopped and got A & W hotdogs and Root Beers for Melissa and Jack and took one home to Evan.  Jack and Melissa came over to visit for a while after the concert, then I took them home later.  We had such a fun night.

Monday, 5/23/22, 15 years ago my mom went to heaven to be with Jesus, I sure miss her!!! Did lots of trimming and weeding today,

I am missing my mom today.  I miss her hugs so much! I miss our talks, her comforting ways, her great cooking, her chapstick kisses, our chats about how awesome Jesus is, and so much more.  I am thankful I will see her again.  Thank You Jesus!

Sue called right after I got up.  She wanted me to pray for her doctor appt. today, another one tomorrow, and another the next day.  We also prayed because they had a cover breakout where she is.  The closed off that wing, but it still makes me nervous.  I started laundry right away, then took my shower and listened to worship music.  Finished the laundry and packed what had to go back out in the camper in the hamper.  I ate out on the deck and of course Kit Kat had to be right next to me.  She caught a mouse today out by the shed.  Good Kitty.  She wanted her head on the page of the Bible I was reading.  I pulled lots of weeds today, cut down weeds that were too big to pull, trimmed down my roses, and hoed in my new garden.  I saw a sprout coming where my Butterfly weed is.  Yay!  Bill mowed the lawn and picked up the grass.  Everything looks nice.  Things are sure growing fast though.  I made reservations for Outdoor Adventures.  Prayed for Maddy.  She has childhood Arthritis and was in lots of pain today.  I'm believing God for a miracle for her.

I got up early so I could make our breakfast before we started packing up.  Bill was the last to get up.  The guys decided last night that they wanted scrambled eggs for breakfast.  I decided to look up if I could make them on a griddle.  It said it was super easy.  I got the hash browns going, then cooked the bacon in the microwave.   Last I mixed the eggs and poured them on the griddle.  I had mixed up 8 and added the milk.  I poured quite a bit on the griddle, then could see that I needed to lift the one side so it didn't run down into the grease catcher.  Just a tiny amount went down there.  Then Ziggy noticed there was a nice sized puddle on the cupboard on the other side of the griddle.  He quick went to the cupboard and got paper towels and started wiping that, then I cleaned it up good with the dishcloth. Lesson learned for next time.  I really did like cooking them on the griddle.  I put Bill's at one end and then added cheese to the rest.  They turned out yummy.  Ziggy had the table set, napkins folded and juice poured by the time I got everything done.  We all prayed and then ate.  Ziggy packed up and headed for home.  We went down to tell everyone goodbye, and then we packed up and left.  We had a nice ride home with the sun shining  brightly.  Bill unpacked all of his stuff and had me put whatever I wanted in his truck so he could take it to the house.  He took a much needed nap and I unpacked the top part of the refrigerator.  It was time to fill out cards for the two birthday boys, mash the strawberries, pack up the cool whip and angel food cake and then leave.  Bill couldn't find his keys, so there was a little (or should I say long) delay.  I kept calling it, but we couldn't hear it.  I finally thought about him driving his motorcycle out of the camper and putting it in the shed and went in there to see if I could find it.  I could hear it vibrating, but couldn't see it.  After a few minutes, I found it on the back bumper which was under the trunk.  I was happy to find it and Bill was even happier.  We left for Kimmy's.  We greeted everyone.  Wyatt was very good and calm today.  I was so happy to see him.  Kimmy and I walked outside and looked at all of her beautiful plants (except the ones the chickens pecked at trying to get the birdseed out of them)  Who would ever think they would do that???   She has so many beautiful plants now and I loved seeing all of them.  We sang to both boys and had cake and ice cream.  We gave the boys their card and as a joke, gave Jacob the million face puzzle back.  He quickly wanted to send it back home with us.  He's so funny.  Bill wants to put it together, we it will be a winter project.  We left for home and I finished unpacking the refrigerator and freezer and then unpacked the rest of my stuff and came in the house and put it all away.

Jeff and Mel getting the steaks ready
Cute baby fox Max got to hold at his job
He also got to feed a fawn....so cool!
Max has been wanting to hold a fox (or have a fox) lately and today he got to hold this cutie

Today was fawn day....Besides Max holding and feeding one, Kody saw this one in his yard.  He couldn't touch it because they wanted to mom to come back.  Very cool!

It was a nice morning and they took rain out of the forecast until 4.  I made blueberry pancakes and sausage for our breakfast, and we all drank lots of coffee.  I went down to see what the other ladies were going to do, because I knew they weren't going on the ride.  Betty was dressed ready to go on the ride, and the other ladies wanted to go to garage sales.  Betty can't walk good enough to go to lots of garage sales, so she decided she didn't want to go on the ride if no other ladies were going and she wasn't able to do the garage sales.  She was going to stay in her camper.  Since it was warmer and dry with the sun shining, I told her I would get ready fast and go on the ride.  We sure went on some nice hilly and curvy roads.  I stayed nice and warm and really enjoyed going to Dublin to the Dublin Country Store.  It was huge with lots of nice things.  When we got back, I made banana cream pudding dessert and also a salad.  Everyone was saying my Banana Cream dessert was award winning too just like my chili.  It was getting cool out, but we ate in the pavilion and they had a nice fire pit with a chimney to direct the smoke up.  Wendy and Shawn brought steaks from an Amish family.  They bought a side of beef and paid $2 per lb.  Great deal and the steaks were sure delicious.  Bill and I had sirloins, which he cooked well done and to perfection.
Ziggy directed our state leadership meeting afterward.  He did a great job.  Bill had to share about our state rally and he did a great job too!  I was proud of him!  The ladies left after that to put stuff away and do dishes, but the guys decided to hang out around the fire pit for a while.  Our camper was nice and toasty with the furnace on.  I had given Ziggy our little heater for back in the back room because it was cool out there.  When I talked to Wendy, she told me she forgot their heater and they were in a tent.  I had Bill ask Ziggy if he would give them the heater and we could just keep the sliding glass door open tonight.  Of course he said yes so they could be warm.  Well, it started cooling off in our camper.  I was trying to figure out why the air conditioning was running at the same time as the furnace.  Bill and Ziggy came back, and we read our Bibles and then talked for a while.  Finally, Bill got up and looked at the thermostat to see if he could figure out why it wasn't working right.  I had looked up how to reset it and had instructions, but he didn't seem to want to do that.  Ziggy said a prayer with us so God would help us figure it out.  It was almost 11 pm at this time.  Well, Bill, looked up how to reset it and decided he would try it.  That cleared the previous programs...1 and 2, and it started working properly with the Auto keeping it at the temperature we set.  I slept all night and didn't even hear Bill get up 4 times to use the bathroom.  It was so cozy.

5/20/22, Fun day camping, rain held off till evening, Bad tornado in Gaylord

Ziggy and Bill relaxing

Bill, Ziggy, Shawn and Jeff

Evan by Melissa and Bruce’s new Honda Odyssey! So happy for them

We rode the motorcycle with Mel and Betty to Walmart in Bay City to get a couple of things we forgot.  It was so nice out we didn’t even need our jackets.  We took back roads and it was a beautiful drive.  Sue called me a couple of times. She’s doing much better.  Vikki and the kids went to visit her today.  They also stopped and checked on our house, gave Kit Kat some soft food and got our mail.  Thank you Vikki!

We came home and ate lunch, then went with Jeff, Lisa and Kathy to Camping World in Houghton Lake.  We picked up some towel suction hooks to
hang in the shower.  We had fun walking around.
We heard there were tornado warnings in northern Michigan.  We came back and ate dinner with Shawn and Wendy, Ziggy, and Jeff.  Everyone loved my chili and said it sure was award winning.

They guys walked around out in the rain.  I went out for a while, but came in to watch the news updates on the tornado damage in Gaylord.  The damage is awful!  One person died and 23 injured so far. So sad.  Much prayer needed.  My nephew is the sheriff there and was helping rescue people.

Ziggy is staying in the back room of our camper again.  We all had a great time talking about what God has done, catching up on each other and doing lots of laughing.

I decided it’s going to be too cool on the ride tomorrow, so will just relax and read the book Debbie got me.

We are having a potluck under the pavilion tomorrow evening.  Im making banana cream dessert.

Camping at “The Campground” in Manton, for CMA State Leadership Campout

Bill and I relaxing after getting everything set up.

Finished packing this morning.  Talked to Brittany and saw baby Charlotte.  Such a beautiful baby! Told Kit Kat goodbye.  This is her first time being left alone.  Vikki is checking on her for me.

We left around 10:30.  Bill did an amazing job driving us up here.  He set up the outside stuff and I did the inside.  It didn’t take long.  He did great backing the Motorcycle down the ramp.  I am so happy to have a toy hauler so I don’t have to haul the camper while following Bill on the bike.

We read our Bibles outside here.  Mel and Betty came and visited while we were outside.  We shared lots of testimonies of miracles God has done.  At 6:30, we Kathy and Jeff, Lisa and Jeff, Mel and Betty and us went to a little restaurant in town called the Iron Skillet.  It wasn’t busy at all, but hey sure messed up our orders, served three of us ice cold mashed potatoes and messed up most of our bills.  We have never seen so many mistakes.  Yikes. They did bring us new hot potatoes (at least Jeff and I). Bill’s we’re cold this time too. Played 3-13.  I won -72 to 36.  Bill tore up the score sheet!!! We played dice too.  He was a thousand a head of me, but needed 50 to go out and kept going over.  I ended up winning that too.  Guess he shouldn’t tear up score sheets lol.
