Kit Kat threw up on our door mat, so I took it out to spray it off.  I disconnected the hose Bill used to drain the pool and hooked up my hose.  Went to prayer, than church.  I helped in Kid's church after worship.  I was so happy after service when Kimberly, who I had in my K-1 class, came up to me and told me how she is doing and plans she has for going into the Air Force, then to school to become a social worker to help people.  She gave me a great big hug and told me she got my letter.

After church, we went to Bubba's Camp Fishtail fundraiser.  Bill had asked Faith Riders Road Captain to wait for us, but then they weren't there when we got there.  The ride directions were awful.  It just had a list of roads, (some without signs) and miles next to them.  It didn't tell you whether you should turn or go straight.  We were on Cody Estey
Road and Don called to tell us they were leaving and heading our way.  We stopped at a bar where there were lots of bikes to see if any were on the same ride.  We saw two guys looking at the same map as we had and talked to them.  They couldn't figure the map directions out either.  We told them where Shore Dr. was and they followed us on it, then one of them knew the next road so we followed them.  We hung out with them the whole day.  We stopped to eat lunch with them.  The one was 29 and had been home schooled.  He was thankful for all he knew and all he could do from being home schooled.  We had all been up at Mackinaw last year for the ride, so Bill told them we were in charge of the bike blessing there.  We told them we had stickers with us and could pray over them and their bike.  The 29 yr. old, had his bike blessed last night and had his sticker.  We prayed over the other guy and gave him a blessed in 2022 sticker.   We went back to Bubba's and I ate some watermelon and cupcakes (Bill ate more).  I was too full.  We hung out with Trinity Riders and Jim from the Flint Chapter for a while, then left and came home.  I looked at the water in the pool because we planned on starting the filter.  I told Bill the water was down about a foot and we must have a leak. Then he was going to turn the water on and realized water was coming out of the hose I disconnected this morning.  Yikes, I didn't think about putting it down and it draining the water out of the pool because the other end was still in the pool.  We had to refill and couldn't start the filter although I did put the chlorine tablet floater in so the water stays clear til tomorrow when we can start the filter.

I went to visit Sue at St. Francis.  Charlie was their while I visited too.  Sue got up and walked with her walker which was good to see.  We had a nice visit.

Read my Bible and sent Debbie her daily Scripture.  Happy to hear Jacob made it home safe.  Can't wait to talk to him and hear all about his trip.

I was up first, then Bill, then at 8:40, I woke Adam up because we had to leave at 9 to meet his mom and dad.  I read my Bible out on the deck before they got up.  Kimmy called me and said the line at Tim Hortons was out to the road.  They got in line and were waiting.  About 15 minutes later, we got there and the line was short and Kimmy and Jared were only about 3 cars ahead of us.  I got my order, then we parked next to them and Adam got in with them and Jared gave me the hose they are giving us for our pool.

Bill was cutting the grass when I got home.  I put fertilizer around my blueberry plants and watered the new plants I got yesterday.  I cut down a few daffodils that were out by the shed. I also hoed halfway around the house and spread the bark mulch out better.  Pulled a few weeds in the woods too.  Picked rhubarb and cut it.  After Bill was done mowing, we rode to Bubba's for his Memorial Celebration.   We got there at 4:31, but it was already closed up. They closed early.  We are going back tomorrow and trying again.  They are raising money for Camp Fish Tales.  We got food at the Turkey Roost, then came home.  Bill turned the hoses to the pool back on and the water level got to where it needs to be.  It is crystal clear!

Since it started raining, we will start the filter tomorrow.

Jacob looks like he got a little sunburnt ...Good thing he had his hat on!!!

Cleaned some in the morning.  Maddy messaged and said she made spaghetti for us and wanted to know if she could drop it off.  I did some laundry and worked on cleaning the garage.  Maddy and her mom came and brought out dinner for tonight, and we visited for a while.  It was the first time I met her mom, and she is really nice too.  They had to leave because Maddy had to take her mother in law to work.

Kimmy called and wanted to know if they could come help open the pool.  Bill said he could have it drained, so he started working on that.  I met Kimmy at 4 at Lapham's Greenhouse and we used our gift certificates from the boys fundraiser and picked out some plants.  I got a poppy plant, a lavender plant, a butterfly weed plant and a blueberry plant since one of mine died.  I planted them as soon as I got home, and watered them good.  Kimmy, Jared, Adam and Eli got here not long after I was done.  I started looking for a lost hose and never did find it.  They all started working on getting the cover off the pool and I got out there just in time to help them lift it off.  Adam emptied a few buckets of water out of the cover, then they were able to lift that section over.  I had started making pizza, and a veggie lasagna for Kimmy.  Bill had already eaten his spaghetti and I started mine, so I just finished it.  Kimmy and the boys cleaned and washed the pool steps, Bill and Jared worked on the filter (which Jared and Adam carried up from the basement).  We all worked some on cleaning the tarps and hauling the pool cover out to the asphalt to be power washed tomorrow.  Kimmy and Jared looked for the missing hose to, but never found it.  We figure it had a leak in it last year so Bill must have thrown it out.

Melissa, Jack and Evan came over to visit.  Adam was so good playing games on his device with Evan.  Jack and Eli had a great time hanging out and using their light sabers.  We started the fire pit and turned the lights on, then sat under the gazebo and just enjoyed each other's company.  We were all missing Vikki and family.  Melissa took Jared, Kimmy and me for a ride in her new van.  We visited more when we got back.  Kit Kat sat on my lap and kept me nice and warm.

After everyone left, Adam helped me cover the pool and put some chairs away.  Then he, Papa and I played Skip Bo which I won, and 3-13 which Bill won.  Poor Adam.  This is the second time this happened to him in a row and in the same way.  He sure is a fun grandson to have around.  We snacked on red licorice and M & M's during the game.

We sat in the living room for a while, then Adam went to bed.  Then Bill went to bed a short time later.  I was posting on face book and putting pictures on my blog so didn't get to bed til 1.

Thurs., 5/26/22, Happy Birthday to Jacob!!! We love you! Missed having you here for your birthday! Bill had his procedure to burn the nerves in his back, Melissa took me for ride in her new Oddesy

At Disney

I texted Jacob right away to wish him happy birthday.  I missed being able to call him, but I know he has lots going on with being at Disney.  It was a beautiful morning, 75 degrees when I got up. We got ready and went to the pain clinic for Bill to have his nerve block procedure.  They had to put him out for it, so I went and shopped while he was having it.  I picked up another umbrella for outside like our other one.   They were marked off 25% so that was great.  I also went to Home Depot and got some Command Hook sticky tabs, so Bill can put our bathroom hook back up.  They called me to drive up and pick him up when his procedure was done.  He felt a little oozy, but wanted to go to Nori's for breakfast because he couldn't eat anything this morning.  We went to Menard's too, but didn't buy anything.

Bill took a nap, and I read my Bible out on the deck.  I took my daily walk around the yard to look at my plants and see how they were doing.    I came in and Bill was still sleeping, so I took a little nap too.  My sister, Brenda, texted me to see how Vikki was doing.  I didn't answer because of napping, so she texted Vikki to find out how she was doing.  That was sweet of her.  I texted her some more after I woke up, because Vikki told me she texted her to see how she was.

Bill and I went to Camping World and got a Coleman Grill for our camper.  Our other camper had a grill that hooked on to the side of the camper.  I ate my half sandwich that I brought home today and he wanted cereal.  After we finished eating, I sewed Hailey's pajama pants and sewed the button to her jean shorts back in.  It was just a metal ended button that had come out because the hole had worn and was too big to keep the end in any more.  When I finished, I took them to Hailey at Melissa's.  Hailey worked on air dropping my videos I took at her concert to her phone.  Melissa took Evan and I for a ride in their new van.  I saw Jack for a few minutes when he and Bruce got home.  He got a really nice haircut.  Melissa and I talked for a long time at the end of their driveway, then Hailey came and joined us, and then Bruce came and joined us.

Texted with Jacob, Adam, and my BFF Vikki.

Wed., 5/25/22, Weeded more before the rain came. Connie and Jim K. came over.

I had to cut my Wiegela plant down today.  The whole top part was dead.  Lots of new growth at the bottom though. Hopefully it comes back nicely!

Isaac and Peyton
I was so happy Vikki sent me this picture today.  Made me feel better just to see her!

Bill, me, Connie, and Jim

I had breakfast and coffee out on the deck and then read my Bible and prayed out there too. Kit Kat joined me.  Bill slept in.  I filled feeders and watched the birds for a while.  Bill picked up some stamps for me as we were getting low.  He took Max out for lunch and ice cream today.  I did some laundry and cleaning.  I talked with all of the girls and also talked to Sue.  I messaged with our friend, Joaquin to see how his dad is and find out whether his dad got Covid.  He is in the same place as Sue and Vikki had gone into see him, then found out that hall of the hospital closed down because 3 patients had Covid.  Vikki thought maybe she caught Covid from him.  We were glad to hear he didn't have it.  Joaquin told me what his dad needed prayer for and then told me he will pray for Sue.  I'm thankful for praying friends.

Bill and I took a little cat nap in the afternoon.  Then I got a call from Connie Krueger who I haven't heard from in years.  Only have communicated through Facebook.  She wanted to know if Bill could fold a flag that was given to her in honor of her dad.  She wanted to put it in a glass flag holder.  They came over and Bill and Jim folded the flag with a little assistance from us girls.  We were close friends for a long time before we found out Jim's Great Grandmother and my Great Grandmother were sisters, making us cousins.  We had such a nice visit and it was so good to spend time together.

It rained all morning and finally quit in late afternoon.  My plants were very happy and so was I because I don't have to water them.  I took some Mucinex and some other things and dropped them off at the end of Vikki's driveway for her.  She was on the porch.  I got to wave to the kiddos and say hi from a distance to Vikki and Rody.  I sure am missing them.

We warmed up burgers that Bill grilled last night and I made potatoes and peas too.  We ate late because Connie and Jim stayed for quite a while.
