Sat. June 8, 2024, Went to Faith Riders Chapter meeting, went to Eli’s soccer game and half of Adam’s soccer game, went to Michael’s graduation party, went to Aldi, watched K Love Fan Awards

Eli’s Soccer game, he really moves fast and does a great job for his team.  It was raining lightly during his game so Kimmy and I sat under the Sportsbrella.  It sure was nice and kept us dry.  Great game.  They tied 2 to 2.  Eli is in the pink socks!
Eli, me and Adam

Adam’s game.  I could only stay for half of it because I had to get to a graduation party.  Adam did a great job too.  He is fast and has a powerful kick.  It started raining harder for his game.  I love watching them both play.

Jacob sent me this picture because I had told him the other day to send a picture of him and Abi.  Ha Ha, I told him I could only see part of his face, so he should have Hailey show him how to take good .5’s or have Abi take the selfie.  They are wearing their cross bracelets Abi got for them.  Then he sent me the picture below.
Much better!  They are such a cute couple who love Jesus!
Me and Michael at his graduation party.  He has grown into an amazing young man who loves God and is on fire for Him.   I loved having him in my K-1 class.  He has always been special to my heart because of his kind heart and love for Jesus!  He would always come see me even when he wasn’t in my class anymore.
This is his brother Chris.  He was in my class too and was an awesome kid too and is a wonderful young man who is married and he and his wife are going to have their first baby.  I had their two sisters in my class too and should have gotten a picture with them.  They were all amazing kiddos and now awesome young guys and ladies.  It was so good seeing them all again and their mom and dad.  We had such a fun time.
FaceTiming with my sweetie Rehvyn at his Grammy's
Cute picture Vikki sent me.  He makes the walker move now.  He’s 6 months and getting so big and fun.  Still always smiling!
Precious picture of Rehvyn falling asleep with his grammy holding him

We went to Faith Riders Chapter meeting at 9.  Had a great breakfast then a wonderful meeting.  There were only 11 of us because most of the chapter is up at Mackinac City witnessing at an Event and bike blessing.  It was just a great meeting though.  Lew and Cindy did a great job leading it and Jim C. gave a great message from Nehemiah.  That’s the book of the Bible I just finished tonight.  Renee and Dan were there (they live close to Kimmy and their grandson took care of their animals when they went to Copper Harbor).  They travel a lot so, it was really good to have them there.

After the meeting, we picked up some oranges from Vikki that Rody brought out to us for my orioles.  Her birds don’t eat them.  We came home and I got ready quick so I could go to Eli and Adam’s games.  I moved my swings in farther under the gazebo, so the cushions would stay dry.  Then I said hi to Bruce and Max before I headed to the soccer field.  Nice that both boys played on the same field only an hour apart.  I went to Hobby Lobby between games to take a strawberry timer I had gotten with Kenzie.  Neither of them worked.  I came back and it was raining harder.  So thankful for the sportsbrella.  Adam was in the van and the lights got left on, so the battery died.  I gave Jared my keys, but he came back because the batter wasn’t where it is in a normal car.  Kimmy googled it and when I left, he went to the car with me and got it started right away.  The battery is in the trunk underneath compartment.  I was glad he figured it out.  Poor guy he was getting wet.  I left and got home, then Bill got ready and we left for Michael’s graduation party.  It only went from 3-5.  Everyone got there at about the same time.  It was in a subdivision so cars were parked all along the roads.  Bill found us a good spot close that someone must have just pulled out of.  It was a nice party and we were happy to see Michael and the rest of his family.  They were happy to see us too.  We saw our friend Jen who owns the Global Tans around here and also
Souper Cafe, one of our favorite places to eat.  Her husband’s brother came from out of state to go fishing on the boat, so Chad and the kids didn’t come.  Our friends, the Galsterer’s from church came too and it was so nice to see them.  DeClan was in my class too and came to give me a hug.  He’s going into 6th grade now.  They sure grow up fast.  His dad does root canals and did one for Kimmy and didn’t charge her anything above what insurance paid because she was our daughter.  He didn’t even know her.  He had done a couple free when Bill needed them too.  He’s kind hearted and is generous.  He had lost a lot of weight and I didn’t recognize him at first.

We left and I went to Aldi’s to get my stuff to make banana cream pudding dessert for when we go to Debbie’s after the Bavarian Festival Parade.  We are all going except Kenzie and Travis.  Kenzie might stop there to pick up Rehvyn though.  I made the dessert when we got home, then I watched the K Love Fan Awards.  I always love watching that.  Such great worship and songs.

6/7/24, Kimmy, Adam, and Eli came over, Vikki, Peyton and Rehvyn came over, Vikki picked up an amazing bench for my flower garden, Kimmy and Bill power washed decks, went with the Russell kids and grandkids to Culver’s

Vikki called me in the morning and showed me this bench and asked if I wanted her to get it for me for $20.  I told her yes, but didn’t want her to have to go through all that trouble.  She said she didn’t mind.
This is after Kimmy power washed it and the boys carried it to the garden.  It is absolutely beautiful!  It is cement and really heavy.

Kimmy took this of me and Rehvyn on the bench looking at the goldfish
Vikki took this picture at the same time from the other direction
Peyton and Eli hanging out
Eli, Peyton and Rehvyn.  Peyton sure is good with Rehvyn.  She loves him so much.
Bill power washing
Kimmy, Jared, Eli, Adam, Jacob and Papa at Culvers
I took this picture and when I was done, Eli said did you look at it Nana.  I did and saw his weird face he was making.  Then I said ha ha, I already got a good one.
Jared being a little dramatic after we piled all of the trash on his tray while he was away from the table.  He’s acting like he ate all of that.  He is the fun one!
Eli and Jacob had fun trying to arm wrestle.  Adam on his phone in the background.
Adam and Hope...Kimmy sent me this picture from yesterday.
This is the other great find that came with my bench.  It had cracks in it and Kimmy was almost going to set it out by the road.  Then she decided to try to get something and fix it.  It sure turned out great.  It will look amazing when it is dry.  Great job Kimmy and great finds Vikki

Vikki called and asked me about the bench and I hesitated at first because I didn’t want her to have to go through getting it in Frankenmuth.  She wanted to do it though so I said yes.  Was I ever glad.  It looked just amazing after Kimmy power washed it.  It was $20.  Vikki found one on line like it and it was $800.  I have been looking for one.  Leave it to Vikki to find just the perfect one.  My girls are all so amazing with amazing families.  The boys carried it out to the garden for us and the girls leveled a spot for it, then the boys placed it in position.   Kimmy moved some plants around and we all moved some stuff around and took out some stuff that made it too crowed out there.  We all tried it out.  I held Rehvyn on it and showed him the fish.  It is a comfortable little bench.

After that, Kimmy wanted to power wash the deck.  She is such a hard worker.  I tried to talk her out of it, but she got right at it.  She even knows how to start the power washer.  She did 2/3’s of the deck, then Bill came home and took over the job.  He did the pool deck too.  Everything look so nice.  I can’t wait to get staining it.  Have to let it dry for 48 hours (72 hours where it’s in shade).  The boys and Peyton were so helpful moving stuff off from the deck.  Vikki was at her doctor’s appointment.  We got to watch Rehvyn.  He fell asleep and took a short nap.  He was happy and so good as usual.

We sat on the deck for a while after it warmed up.  I tried to start a fire in the fire pit at first, but it was out of propane.  Kimmy was warm, Vikki was cold and I was in between at Cool.  We used blankets for a while.  Rehvyn fell asleep when I held him in the glider chair.  Vikki had to leave, so we put him in his seat while he was sleeping.  He didn’t even wake up.  They left, then Kimmy and the boys left.  We left right after they did and met them and Jared and Jacob at Culver’s because we wanted to take them out to eat.  Jared pulled in with the jeep and drove right up over the curb to park.  I guess it is a Jeep thing.  We wanted to take Vikki and Peyton too, but Vikki had a friend coming over.  We had fun eating together and visiting.  We got food, then got our sundaes.  Yum.

We came home and I talked to Vikki, got to see a video of my great niece, (Ahmeh’s) twins, and talked to Melissa a long time.  Texted with Kimmy for a long time too.  Also got to Face Time with Kenzie a couple of times.  What a great family and what a blessed day.

Thurs., 6/6/24, Vikki, Peyton, Kimmy, Adam, Hope and Eli came over to spend the day, the kids swam, we all worked together putting the solar cover at the end of pool on posts, Evan celebrated his birthday with a few school friends, and Jack and Connor, rained when we were done

My twins are the best helpers and really think things through to get it done right
The oriole finally came to the close jelly feeder.  I was in the house though so took the picture from inside
Yay the cover is on and we don’t have to walk one end all the way around the pool anymore.
Four finches on the finch feeder while I was inside too
I got this metal hanger at Wild Bird’s Unlimited.  It was the last one and they had it hanging on their wall.  The guy took it off the wall for me and sold it to me.  Vikki, Kimmy and Eli hung it today and Vikki wired my Bluejay bird feeder so it hangs where it faces sideways so you can see it better.
Vikki FaceTimed me to show me Rehvyn dancing.  He sure is cute and dances to the beat.

Evan celebrated his 13th birthday today with his mom and dad,  brother Jack, and friends at Bavarian Inn Lodge
Daniel, Evan, Adam, Max in background, Jack and Connor

I planted a Kale plant and a burpless cucumber plant.  I also moved a few plants because they were too close to the electric fence and it would be hard for Bill to get the tiller around them.  After that, I washed off the outside tables and put cushions on the swings and chairs under the gazebo.  I had put them away for yesterday’s thunderstorm.  Wes came and picked up at case of Bibles to pass out for our CMA group at Mackinac this weekend for the Blessing of the Bikes.  Bill had a doctor appointment.

Everyone got here at the same time, except Kenzie came later to drop off Rehvyn.  Kimmy and I went out and planted two plants Kimmy brought me.  One is Thyme and she’s going to let me know what the other one is.  They are going to be so nice in the garden.  Then all of us but Peyton
had coffee and sat outside under the gazebo.  The kids all decided to go swimming.  They stayed in pretty long for it being a cooler day and the pool only being open for a few days.  It’s always a joy to hear them all having fun together in the pool.  Vikki fixed and rehung some of my bird feeders.  Kimmy assisted.  I was happy to get my hanger I got at Wild Bird’s Unlimited.  It is so cute.   We ate sandwiches and chips for lunch.  Bill brought home 4 boxes of Girl Scout cookies he got for free and we ate three of those boxes too.  Peyton took one home that Papa gave her.   His doctor wants him to have a Stress Test, so they are scheduling that.  I got a call and have an appointment in Brighton for my hand towards the end of this month.

Adam dug the holes for where we are putting the posts in for the solar cover reel to go.  Eli helped some too.  We all were excited when Rehvyn got here.  Of course we were excited to see Kenzie too.  Kenzie got right to work shoveling.  Kenzie ate a sandwich and hung out for a little bit, then she had to leave.  Bill put all of the clips for the solar cover on, and we tried to roll up the cover, but it kept getting caught on the edges.  Then Vikki said we would put the clips farther out and not on the edge and I remembered that’s how they had to go.  We all took the cover off and laid it on the ground, then we folded it and Kimmy and Vikki put clips on the fold.  We tried it again, but realized the posts had to be moved up too.  Adam came out and dug two more holes and he and papa moved the posts to their new position.  After much adjusting straps by us girls, we got it to where it works pretty good now.  It was really windy out, so it will be much easier on a calm day.  Hailey came over while we were working on all of this and watched Rehvyn.  She loves him and is just so good with him.  He sure is the best smiliest baby!  Hailey had to leave to go home.  I checked on her to see if she was home safe and sound.  Her car quit working today on her way home from work.  Bruce said he thought it was ok now, so she came over with me ready to help if she called.  All went well.  We put everything away and the kids got their suits and towels off the line.  Then everyone headed to games or home.  Soon afterwards we got a downpour and lots of wind.  When it stopped everything was still and our flag wasn’t moving anymore.  I looked at my plants planted today and they all looked good.  Bill and I read our Bibles and then relaxed and had cashews and M & M’s for a snack.  It was a very busy but very fun day.  Thank you everyone for all of you help.  I love my family!
