Sunday, 3/9/25, went to prayer, than church, Stacie, DJ and Kody came over, we drove the motorhome to Costco to take back a sweater

Bill and I drove the motorhome to Costco
Kody had wanted to go to the Tangy Crab for his birthday.  They made it there today and this is how he looked after eating lots of food off that plate.
This Downy Woodpecker stayed on the peanut feeder for a long time.  Other birds were waiting for their turn.  He was so big, I was amazed he could hang on it for that long
Isaac sent me pictures of his dad’s Jeep with the top off.  He really liked that.
Sirloin burger, fried potatoes and corn for dinner tonight

It was harder to get up this morning because of the time change and it being so dark when my alarm went off.  I slept in a half hour more.  Vikki texted me that her throat was still sore, so they were just going to watch on line.  Peyton’s throat started hurting too.  We got ready and went to prayer, then into the church service for worship.  When worship was done, I had to go teach Sunday School. There were lots of kids today which is great to see.  We came home after church, and I texted Stacie to see if we could drop Kody’s birthday gift off.  They were going to go to the Tangy Crab to eat, so she invited us to go.  We had already ate, so I told them they could just stop over on their way home.
When they got here, Kody wanted to go downstairs and see my goldfish in the pond, so Stacie, him and I went down.  I let him feed them.  He liked doing that.  He wanted to play pingpong, but I told him Papa would play with him when he came in.  Stacie and I had a great visit while the guys were outside.  Kody was so sweet and was so fun to have around.  When they came in from the shed, we had Kody open his card with money.  He had lots of ideas already on what to spend it on.  He and Bill went downstairs to play ping pong.  DJ came in the living room and asked me if I had an ash vacuum.  I told him yes and he asked if he could use it.  I said yes and then he went into the family room and got down and vacuumed out a couple of spots that he thought might be stopping the kernel burner from igniting.  I held the flashlight for him and accidentally shined it in his face. Whoops!  He was covering his eyes.  He vacuumed out the area that goes up under where the fire burns and then I turned it on and we waited.  His hands were black from working on it, so he washed up while waiting.  Bill was saying I don’t think it’s going to start, but I said I thought it would.  DJ checked for heat and it was getting warm inside the burner.  Shortly after, it started and was doing great.  I was so happy I gave him a big hug. I watched him, so I will know what to do next time.  Bill said now he would have to start bring bags of pellets in, and DJ went out and brought a bag in for him.  He is also going to put the bumper for the Jeep Bill got yesterday on for us.  We are so blessed.

It was so nice out, Bill wanted to take the motorhome to Costco when we took his shirt back to return.  It was sunny and a nice day for a drive.  We got home and he worked out in the shed and I made dinner.  It was yummy.  I called Vikki to let her know, Bill is on the list for the Honor Flight for veterans to go to Washington DC and will be leaving June 18th.  Our friend, Jim, also got put on the same flight.  I am so thankful they are honoring Veterans this way and that Bill and Jim get to go.  They will go to all the memorials.  Everything is paid for and they provide everything they need.

Kenzie FaceTimed me with her mom on FaceTime too. Rehvyn was so cute waving at us and then eating his Mac and cheese.  He’s a good little eater.  I called Melissa to let her know dad gets to go on the Honor Flight.  Kimmy didn’t answer, but I’m sure she will call back when she see’s I called.  I need to see when we can drop Eli’s present off for him to open.  Bill’s brother, Fred, returned his call and talked to Bill.  He didn’t get his muscle relaxer due to a mix up, so had to go without it for 24 hours.  He finally got it this afternoon, so when he called Bill back, he was doing much better.  We were really happy to hear that and be able to talk to him.

I did lots of bird watching today.  So many birds.  Feeders are getting low and will need to be filled tomorrow.  It will be 60 degrees so will be a good day to do it.  I am watching for our first Robin.  Gayla saw one at her house a couple of days ago, so I am hopeful it will be soon that I see one.

I sure am enjoying checking to see what sells on Kimmy and Jared’s Etsy.  They have been getting amazing reviews because of the rest quality, colors, beauty for their pottery and their great service.  I always check every day to see how they are doing.  They are getting steady buyers.

Saturday, 3/8/25, Went to Fairh Riderr’s Chapter meeting, went to Ann Arbor, went to, Hockey for the Homeless Spirit Game

Chaplain Elaine sharing at the Chapter Meeting
Cindy drawing pictures with her grandson
Bill in the truck with his Coldstone Chocolate covered waffle bowl loaded with ice cream and toppings.  Mine is next to him.
We went through a car wash.  I’m sure these ducks loved riding through it lol.  Bill has all his ducks in a row!!!!
Bill going through the check in line.  He had a pocket knife in his pocket which he forgot about, so they had him take it out and put it in his Jeep.  Evan and Jack were waiting for their turn to walk through the metal detector.  I just went over to a lady who had me open my tiny Patagonia cross over purse which can’t hold very much.  I didn’t have to go through the metal detector.
I took this picture of Evan and Jack.  I was showing them they aren’t as tall as they think lol.
Our Church Worship team played worship music before the game. They did an amazing job.

Waiting for the Hockey game to start.  Me, Bill, Jack and Evan
Cindy and Lew

Our Church made the Welcome List

In the morning, we went to Faith Rider’s Chapter meeting.  There was a good turnout.  I had to wear the Birthday Hat and they sang Happy Birthday to me because my birthday is this month.  It was a good meeting with lots of great input and a great message from our Chaplain.  After the meeting, we stopped at Vikki’s and picked up two nice baskets she had on the porch for me for under my end table.  She had a sore throat on and off, so we didn’t take a chance...that’s why the porch pickup.  Thanks Vikki.  We came home, got my car and went to Meijer to fill the Jeep and my car with gas for $1.00 off up to 30 gallons.  We left my car there, and went to Ann Arbor so Bill could pick up a new front bumper for the Jeep.  He really wanted this one, and the guy traded him for the one that had been on our Jeep and also threw in a wench.  Bill was very happy.  We met the guy in a shopping plaza, and afterwards saw a Coldstone Creamery.   We decided to go there.  Our ice cream bowls sure were delicious.  It was sunny out and a beautiful day for a drive.  We got home, read our Bibles, and had 15 minutes to relax.

We went through a car wash, went to the ATM at the bank, and then went and picked up Jack and Evan to go to the Hockey Game with us.  Wes and Gayla were unable to go because of sickness, so Don had their tickets and they had him give them to us for Jack and Evan.  The boys were really happy about going and we were happy to take them.  Jack was pretty excited that he can make calls and text on his phone now.

When we got there, we were in the red room and our church worship team, played worship songs for quite a while.  They did an awesome job!  After they were done, we went in and found our seats.  Cindy and Lew moved down and sat in two of our seats, so we could have theirs and have 4 together for the boys and us.  Bill and I had hotdogs and the boys had hotdogs, chips, and pretzels.  We all got pops too.  Bill and I split a large pop.  By the 3rd quarter, the score was 10 for the Canadian team and 2 for the Spirit’s.  We decided to leave because of the time change and having to get up early for church tomorrow.  The boys were really sweet and thanked us a couple of times and said they had fun.

We came home and I worked on my blog and Bill was checking posts out on FaceBook.  It was a busy but very fun day.

Friday, 3/7/25, Kimmy and Vikki came over, we went to and Estate Sale, stopped at Chen’s, Kimmy, Vikki and Bill changed the living room around! It looks so nice!

Kimmy and Vikki came over around 7:40 a.m.  Vikki and I ate breakfast and we all drank our coffee.  I called Gayla to check on how she was doing.  She sounded so much better and said she felt lots better.  We girls went to an estate sale after that.  Kimmy bought a knife and I bought a 5 x7 white picture frame.  We went to Melissa’s afterwards and had a nice visit with her.  She has had a lot going on and hasn’t been sleeping good and had laundry piling up, so she wasn’t going to be able to come over to my house today.   I told her I would take some home with me and wash it for her.  I love my new machines so it was super easy.  It worked out so good because we still got our good visit with her and she got a much needed nap.  She is a hard worker and takes good care of her family.  Hailey felt good today and went on her trip to Tennessee with her Unite Christian group.  I am so happy she can go.

Kimmy and Vikki wanted to change our furniture around in the living room.  I didn’t want them to do all of that work, but then they said they really wanted to and Bill said he would help.  They told me I could go in the other room and take a nap.  That sounded good until I remembered I wanted to get the laundry done.  Kimmy and I also ended up helping touch up walls that needed painting.  When they got done it looked so nice!  What wonderful daughters I have.  It was fun to listen to Kimmy and Vikki talking about what would make Bill and I happy....what lights by our love seat recliners, putting a bigger end table by my spot, and the end table with more storage space by Bill.  I have three very loving girls.  They have passed that on to their kids too.  We stopped at Chen’s so Vikki and Kimmy could get some of Vikki’s favorite rice and vegetables.  It smelled so good on the ride home.  Vikki left some in the container for me to try.  Then I made a lettuce wrap for me with Oven Roasted Chicken from Jacks and cheese.   So good.  You use lettuce to wrap it in instead of bread.  I went to pick Peyton and Isaac up at school so Vikki could help Kimmy finish.  I’m always so happy when they get in the car and I get to ask them how their day was.  I told them they could have ice cream when we got to our house.  I showed them the flavors and they didn’t waste any time getting it.  Such cute kiddos!

I called Melissa to let her know I was going to drop her laundry off.  I reminded her the last time I dropped laundry off, a deer ran into my car afterward.  I prayed this time for God to keep the deer back.  I got to see Jack and Evan, but forgot to take a picture.  Evan was outside when I got there, so he carried the two big laundry baskets in and I carried the little one.  Then he came outside with me when I was going to leave and showed me some of his basketball tricks.  He is pretty talented.  I picked up a footlong Rotisserie Chicken Sub for Bill on my way home.  When I gave it to him, he cut part of it off for me to eat because he couldn’t eat a whole footlong.

In the evening, we enjoyed sitting in the newly arranged living room and watched a good movie called “The Undercover Angel”.  The little girl in it was such a good actor and so cute.

3/6/25, Gayla called and has flu now too, Went to pain Clinic with Bill, went to Chick Fil A,,

Big difference from yesterday!!! Snow, high winds, in the 30’s but with the wind chill if felt much colder
After Bill’s appointment, we stopped at Chic-Fil-A for lunch.  I took this picture, but Bill said he would take one and hold the camera back farther
This is his picture.  He got my food in the picture.  He was so cute!

Got a call from Gayla first thing this morning.  She didn’t have any update on Wes.  They didn’t do the ECHO yesterday like they said, and really didn’t do anything.  Gayla sounded terrible and said she either had a cold or flu.  I prayed for her over the phone and told her I could drop some soup or medicine off if she needed something.

I ate cereal for breakfast, had my coffee, then went in the living room and read my Bible while Bill read his next tome.  I bird watched for a while.  Those darling Starlings are back.  I need to have Eli come over and take care of them.  There were lots of good birds eating today too.

In the afternoon, I went with Bill to the pain clinic.  He needed a driver because he was getting 6 injections in his neck.  He was in for quite a while, but said it went good and seemed to be working.  He needs to go one more time for more injections and if they work, they will do an ablation.  We decided to use our gift card and went to Chic-Fil-A.  We got a parking place by the door and were second in line.  There were more people inside this time.  The outside lines were shorter, but steady.  We went at an off time which helps, not to mention it was so cold and windy outside.  Our meals were yummy!

Bill called Wes when we got home to see how he was doing.  He said he felt good and was ready to go home.  He sounds a whole lot better than Gayla.  He said they are not going to be able to go to Hockey for the Homeless on Saturday now.  That’s a bummer.

Wed. 3/5/25, 57 degrees out and some sunshine! Went to Costco, Bill spent the afternoon with Max, I took Evan out for a concrete mixer, went to prayer in the evening at Grace Valley

Snow is almost gone....so nice to have it in the 50’s, especially when the sun was out
Kit Kat enjoyed the nice weather too.  She slept outside her house instead of inside
Fun time with Evan at Culvers eating Concrete Mixers.  He had donuts with friend day at school, but decided with so many sick he would rather just go with me after school.  We had so much fun!  He’s a great kid!
Me and Isaac
Isaac, me and Peyton, after they got out of youth group and we got out of the worship service

It was already in the mid 30’s when I got up and fed Kit Kat.  Gayla called me to let me know Wes was in the hospital.  He had been breathing a little funny since his surgery in October.  He started coughing, so Gayla said he’s better get that checked out.  His doctor sent him to ER to have a full work up and he has some fluid on one of his lungs, is in AFIB, and was diagnosed with influenza too.  They kept him there.  Good thing she took him in.  Bill and I drank our protein drinks and read our Bibles.  Then we went to Costco and walked all of the aisles.  We got protein drinks and saved $6 on each one.  We picked up some other things, including two bags of Scotts grass seed.  He is going to reseed where the Grasshopper Lawn Mower destroyed the grass.  We went to the Member Customer Service and had our pictures taken and put on our cards so we don’t have to show ID.  They didn’t take pictures when we got our cards because of Covid.  We put everything away when we got home, then Bill left to pick Max up.  He’s on Spring Break and wanted to hang out with Papa today.  I waited for Melissa to call, then I went and picked up Evan.  I asked him if he would rather have a donut or Concrete Mixer and he picked the Concrete Mixer.  We went to Jack’s, then to Culver’s for Concrete Mixers.  He got chocolate ice cream with Reeses Pieces, and I got chocolate ice cream with strawberries and bananas.  We had fun hanging out together and talking while we ate.  I dropped him off at his house afterwards, and he when he got out, he leaned back in to give me a hug goodbye.  What a sweet kid!
I came home and put the groceries I got from Jack’s away, then met Vikki and Rody and the kids at Grace Valley Church for a worship healing service.  It was awesome.  At first I thought it was strange there was only a piano player instead of the whole worship team, but this girl on the piano was an amazing anointed worship leader and sang and played amazingly.  The worship service was awesome and so was the seeking God, prayer, praise.  Such an awesome time!   The pastors did an amazing job with scriptures and prayer.  I remembered to lift up others I know who need healing.  Marie and Jared’s mom, Lela, were among those.  Afterwards, we visited with some friends and waited for Peyton and Isaac to get out of Youth Group.  I came home and talked to Marie, then talked to Melissa for a while.  Then I put my comfy PJ’s on and relaxed in my recliner next to Bill.  What an awesome night!

Kit Kat holding off 6 turkeys

Myles and Rehvyn
Sure is enjoying a popsicle while he’s not feeling well

It was 38 degrees when we got up this morning, but was raining out.  No wind though so that seemed nice.  We read our Bibles, then ate our breakfast.  Kenzie FaceTimed me and I got to see Rehvyn.  She said his fever was down now without Motrin.  He still isn’t himself, but I did get a smile and a one hand wave that was so cute.  I prayed for him and can’t wait till he is complete better.  Hailey was feeling better today too.  So thankful.

Bill worked out in the shed and I cleaned out the old files and filed the 2025 stuff.  Glad to have that job done.  I talked to Marie to see how she was doing.  She is doing ok and has a doctor appt. tomorrow.

We had goulash for dinner.  In the evening we watched President Trump’s Address to Congress.

Bill talked to his brother, Fred, and he was doing better after his back surgery.  Still in pain though.

Monday, March 3, 2025

Monday, 3/3/25, Slept in until 9, read our Bibles, Bill’s brother’s surgery at 9 am.,Bill went to get water from Shays, I filled all the bird feeders, made goulash for dinner, Hailey has influenza A, and Rehvyn has a fever

Vikki did a great job straightening Jack’s hair that the barber messed up.
Maddy sent me this cute picture of Mason
She sent me these cute pictures of Brielle too.

So many more buds on my Christmas Cactus...it has been blossoming since Thanksgiving.  Could hardly b believe it when I saw all of these buds coming

It sure felt good to sleep through the night with no wake ups.  I started reading my Bible and then when I was done went outside and filled all the bird feeders.  It was 28 degrees, but the wind made it feel much cooler.  I was happy to get back in the house and warm up. Melissa called and said Hailey got sick really fast on Sat. evening.  She had to go to the doctor today because she was supposed to take and exam and do her labs today.  I feel bad she had to drive herself to see the doctor feeling so bad.  She has Influenze A they said and wrote her an excuse for her missed class.   Poor sweet girl, she sure wanted to be healthy to take her exam and do her labs.   I found our Rehvyn had a 103 temp. last night and 101 this morning.  I am really praying for him too.
Bill read his Bible, then we had pizza for lunch.  He went to pick up some water bottles from Shays. Bill’s brother Fred’s, surgery started at 9.  Lourdes gave us an update at 5:15 that they were putting the last vertebrae in and putting the rod in then closing him up.  It was taking longer Thant the doctor thought it would.  We sure are praying for him and so are many others.

I made goulash for dinner.  Bill had two bowls and I had one.  We were hungry for goulash.
I looked at Costco’s sales and they are going to have the Premium protein shakes we like on sale for $6 off starting March 5.  We will be stocking up on those.

I got a really sweet text from Cathy for Melissa and I saying she loved our visit.  She also said she can put the new watch band I got for her on by herself.  Yay!  She also said she loved Melissa’s cookies and was thankful she shared her ttestimony, because she said it never gets old.  She is such a sweet friend.

Bill’s brothers surgery took longer then the doctor thought.  It started at 9 a.m. and he didn’t get into recover until 9:13 p.m.  Lourdes was really good about texting us updates.  The last one came a few minutes ago and said they were doing a scan of his back and then sending him to his room on the 7th floor. The doctor said everything went well, she had to be meticulous, and she is happy with the outcome.  Great news!  Now prayers begin for a speedy recovery for this wonderful brother we love.
