Wed. 3/12/25, Seen 1st Robin in our yard, went for yearly skin check, Bill raked some of the yard, Bill took Max to school and picked him up when he was done, Kit Kat caught a vole...good kitty,

First Robin I’ve seen in our yard this year.  Another one was with it, but flew before I took the picture.  Bill raked and picked up sticks today...he has quite a large burn pile.
Yay! Daffodils are coming up

Lenten Rose is coming too
Kit Kat caught a vole!  She brought it to our front door to show us what a good kitty she is.  I gave her a yummy treat!
Picture from 10 years ago that came up in my memories.  I was reading my Bible and this cute squirrel we called Pete came up and ate by it.  Joel who had a traumatic brain injury from an accident still remembers this squirrels name.  He didn’t remember going para sailing the evening after going, but still to this day he always remembers the squirrels name if we ask him.  That really makes this a very special memory!!!

We each drank a protein drink, then read our Bibles.  I went to Meijer to get nail polish remover as I was all out and my nail polish was half worn off.  I had to go for my yearly skin check, so wanted to not have any polish on.  Bill started raking while I got ready to go to my appointment.  He was still raking when I left.

While I was waiting to be called back for my appointment, a sweet lady who had shown one of the office girls a funny squirrel video, came way across the room and sat by me and wanted to show it to me too.  She wanted to bring laughter to people.  It was a funny one so she was happy when I laughed.  Then I showed her the pictures of the squirrel that came up in my memories and she thought they were so cute.  I told her he was reading my Bible and just then they called me back for my appointment.

I prayed the doctor would have wisdom lots before I went.  I wanted to ask him about the medicine Nancy from church got put on that helped her so much.  When he and his nurse came in, I asked him about it and he said right before they came in the room they were talking about that medicine and how it would be a good one for me to try.  I have to get bloodwork done first.  He said his patients on it do great and don’t have side effects and it’s a pretty safe one.  Then when they left and the nurse came back I was going to ask her how expensive it was because Nancy said it was super expensive.  The nurse came in and without me asking said not to be concerned with the cost because there are lots of assistance programs plus they get some free samples so I wouldn’t have to pay much if anything.  I didn’t even have to ask her about the price of it PTL!!!

I came home after my appointment and Bill was resting in his recliner.  I needed that rest after all of his outdoor work today.  He had twenty minutes before he had to go take Max to college.  He was picking Max up something to eat before his class started too.  While he was gone, I made spaghetti.  I cooked some mushrooms and onions to put in mine.  I called Sue to see if she wanted me to drop some off to her and she said yes.  Bill got home just before I had to leave to go to Sue’s.  I also returned my $10 bill from Sue and Kimmy’s $10 bill she sent in the mail for Kimmy.  She knows now that we are happy to make rolls or take food to her without getting paid something.  It was nice seeing her and visiting for a little while.

Gayla texted me and asked if I wanted to go with her to Girls of Grace dance on Saturday.  I’ve gone a few times before and really love seeing this.  The worship music is always beautiful and the dancer’s do an amazing job.  It’s very uplifting to go to.  I am looking forward to going again.  I called Sue to check to see if she wanted to go. She did so I let Gayla know.  Then Sue said she’d better look at her calendar because she thought she had something going on on Sat.  She had an appt. to get her taxes done, so she can’t go now.  I let Gayla know.  Then I checked with Melissa to see if she could go, but she has to pick her boys up, so isn’t able to go either.

Kenzie FaceTimed me today so I got to see my cute lovable great grandson.  I love our FaceTime visits.  Papa got in on it too.  He loves seeing them too.  I talked with Vikki and Melissa for a while, and got some beautiful pictures of Hailey on her Unite Christian group trip today.   These are the pictures.  I know how happy Hailey was to climb this mountain and see the beautiful view.  I’m thankful she gets to go on these trips with close friends.  She is an amazing girl who loves Jesus so much and has so many talents.

I can just imagine her expression when she saw this.  She loves sunsets and loves mountains.  This is an amazing combination.

Tuesday, 3/11/24, Saw lots of turkeys in the yard, met Maddy at Biggby, went to Warmbier Farms, moved tables on deck, hung swings, went to prayer

Fun watching all of these turkeys in our yard this morning.
That’s the Tom I’m picking out for dinner!!!!
Mason when we laid him on the floor this morning at Biggby...He is such aa good baby.  He turned 9 months yesterday

Brielle with her Magic Milk I got for her mom to take home to her

So funny! When I went to put my leftover tomato soup in this red mug today, I noticed something inside.  It was a $10 bill, a note from Sue and a bookmark.  I got a good laugh because at least 2 months ago or more, I sent chili to Sue in the mug with rolls to go with it..  She really liked the cute mug.  When she sent it back, I put it in the cupboard.  I didn’t realize she had put those things in it.  I called her right away and told her she is getting the money back.  Kimmy has $10 Sue sent her with a sweet note.  She is having me give her $10 back too.  We don’t want money for making rolls for her!  She’s like family!

I was going to get up with Bill at 7:30, but didn’t sleep well last night, so set my alarm for 8:30, at least I thought I did.  I got up and put Kit Kats food out right away, then looked out the sliding glass door and saw lots of turkeys.  I took lots of pictures and kept watching them.  Then I looked at the clock and it said 9:25am.  I was supposed to meet Maddy at Biggby at 10 a.m.  I sure rushed around getting ready as fast as I could.  I left at 9:45 and made it there with one minute to spare.  I even beat Maddy by 2 minutes.  She brought Mason with her today.  I was so happy to see him.  He is a sweet smiley baby.  We took turns holding him and giving him toys to play with.  We drank our coffee and ate our bagel breakfast sandwiches.  We had a nice visit.  I was cleaning up our table and taking the napkins to the trash when a kid next to our table started talking to me.  He was 22 and shared how he was homeless and in a shelter.  He had gotten a job at a pizza place, so had saved up enough money to get an Electric Bike.  He showed me a picture.  I asked him if he knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior and he said yes.  He said he had been in jail 4 times and read the Bible while in there.  I asked him if I could pray for anything for him, and he said yes, he wanted to change and have a new beginning.  I prayed with him, then talked for a few more minutes, and encouraged him to read the Bible everyday.  I love God moments.  I prayed for him through out the day.  Maddy and I left there, and I decided to go to Warmbier Farms to find a gift for my BFF because she is coming here next week and I want to give her a remembrance of her dad who just passed away.  They have so many cool things there.  I found a couple of things.

When I got home, Bill and I moved things on the deck where they go.  With nice weather coming I want to be able to sit out there again.  It didn’t take us long,  I showered and got ready to go to prayer.  I boiled some water and Bill made his Mrs. Grass chicken noodle soup and made dumplings.  I headed to prayer.  It was awesome again tonight.  We worshipped and then prayed over Tina and Chris who go to our church for healing of cancer in the Name of Jesus!  Then we all worshipped again,  and prayed more.  We visited for a while, then came home.

Kimmy and Vikki stopped over to use the bathroom and visit for a few minutes, after they were done at Vikki’s appreciation dinner for work.  They were sure fun telling about it and getting lots of good laughs.  They left so Vikki could take Kimmy to where she left her van.

I read my Bible after they left. Below are pictures from Hailey’s trip to Gatlinburg, TN with Unite, her Christian college group.

Monday, 3/10/25, Went to Menards, went to Walmart, went to Meijer, went to Kimmy’s to take Eli’s present, tried Bill’s new recipe out, Watched Kendall Gray’s You Tube on trapping raccoons

Adam...he sent me a text saying Yay when I told him we were on our way.  He’s so sweet!
Eli with his birthday gift.and Jacob
Adam, Jacob and Eli...Papa and I behind them pretty much hidden lol
Jacob, Adam, me, Bill and Eli
Bill was showing me how you flip it...using the lid....whoops it didn’t work so well
Bill and I made this with a recipe he saw and remembered.  He loved it!  I thought it was OK, but I wouldn’t make it for myself.
Beautiful sunset

I slept all night again and didn’t have to take any Benadryl during the night.  Yay!  Got up at 8:30 and it was already 36 degrees out and sunny.   I drank my coffee and we both read our Bibles.  After that I went outside and filled all of the bird feeders.  It was 54 degrees and still sunny.  I am really enjoying the nice weather.   I went out to the shed and got the small blower and blew off the deck.  There were lots of leaves that had blown on it with all the wind we’ve been having.

Bill asked me if I wanted to go to Menards so we went there and I was able to get A Baffle to go over my flat bird feeder to keep pesky squirrels off from it.  I put it on as soon as I got home.  We picked up the bumper to the Jeep at home, then went and took it to DJ.  He’s going to get some rust off from it by sand blasting it, then when it’s ready he will put it on for Bill.  After that, we went to Meijer to pick up oats and pecans so we could make a banana pancake recipe Bill had memorized. Then we went back home.  I called Kimmy to see if we could drop off Eli’s birthday present that was delivered to our house after his birthday.  We headed there about a half hour later. It was so nice seeing them all because Jacob was home on spring break.  It was fun seeing Kimmy’s plants and how much they have grown.  Her pots she made are so cute.  We got pictures with the boys, then headed home.  Bill and I made his recipe, 2 bananas smashed, 1 banana cut up, 2 tablespoons of oats, and 2 eggs.  He mixed everything together, than I sprayed the pan and put the cut up bananas on the bottom.  After that, Bill dumped the mixture over the bananas.  After the bottom was cooked, I watched him put the lid on the pan and flip it.  It didn’t quite go as he planned, and lots splattered out and on the stove.  We ate it.  Bill really liked it so I gave him half of mine because I had way too much.

We watched Kendall Gray on you tube because Eli said he liked watching him.  We watched him set traps like we got Eli.  Then we watched a movie after that.

Sunday, 3/9/25, went to prayer, than church, Stacie, DJ and Kody came over, we drove the motorhome to Costco to take back a sweater

Bill and I drove the motorhome to Costco
Kody had wanted to go to the Tangy Crab for his birthday.  They made it there today and this is how he looked after eating lots of food off that plate.
This Downy Woodpecker stayed on the peanut feeder for a long time.  Other birds were waiting for their turn.  He was so big, I was amazed he could hang on it for that long
Isaac sent me pictures of his dad’s Jeep with the top off.  He really liked that.
Sirloin burger, fried potatoes and corn for dinner tonight

It was harder to get up this morning because of the time change and it being so dark when my alarm went off.  I slept in a half hour more.  Vikki texted me that her throat was still sore, so they were just going to watch on line.  Peyton’s throat started hurting too.  We got ready and went to prayer, then into the church service for worship.  When worship was done, I had to go teach Sunday School. There were lots of kids today which is great to see.  We came home after church, and I texted Stacie to see if we could drop Kody’s birthday gift off.  They were going to go to the Tangy Crab to eat, so she invited us to go.  We had already ate, so I told them they could just stop over on their way home.
When they got here, Kody wanted to go downstairs and see my goldfish in the pond, so Stacie, him and I went down.  I let him feed them.  He liked doing that.  He wanted to play pingpong, but I told him Papa would play with him when he came in.  Stacie and I had a great visit while the guys were outside.  Kody was so sweet and was so fun to have around.  When they came in from the shed, we had Kody open his card with money.  He had lots of ideas already on what to spend it on.  He and Bill went downstairs to play ping pong.  DJ came in the living room and asked me if I had an ash vacuum.  I told him yes and he asked if he could use it.  I said yes and then he went into the family room and got down and vacuumed out a couple of spots that he thought might be stopping the kernel burner from igniting.  I held the flashlight for him and accidentally shined it in his face. Whoops!  He was covering his eyes.  He vacuumed out the area that goes up under where the fire burns and then I turned it on and we waited.  His hands were black from working on it, so he washed up while waiting.  Bill was saying I don’t think it’s going to start, but I said I thought it would.  DJ checked for heat and it was getting warm inside the burner.  Shortly after, it started and was doing great.  I was so happy I gave him a big hug. I watched him, so I will know what to do next time.  Bill said now he would have to start bring bags of pellets in, and DJ went out and brought a bag in for him.  He is also going to put the bumper for the Jeep Bill got yesterday on for us.  We are so blessed.

It was so nice out, Bill wanted to take the motorhome to Costco when we took his shirt back to return.  It was sunny and a nice day for a drive.  We got home and he worked out in the shed and I made dinner.  It was yummy.  I called Vikki to let her know, Bill is on the list for the Honor Flight for veterans to go to Washington DC and will be leaving June 18th.  Our friend, Jim, also got put on the same flight.  I am so thankful they are honoring Veterans this way and that Bill and Jim get to go.  They will go to all the memorials.  Everything is paid for and they provide everything they need.

Kenzie FaceTimed me with her mom on FaceTime too. Rehvyn was so cute waving at us and then eating his Mac and cheese.  He’s a good little eater.  I called Melissa to let her know dad gets to go on the Honor Flight.  Kimmy didn’t answer, but I’m sure she will call back when she see’s I called.  I need to see when we can drop Eli’s present off for him to open.  Bill’s brother, Fred, returned his call and talked to Bill.  He didn’t get his muscle relaxer due to a mix up, so had to go without it for 24 hours.  He finally got it this afternoon, so when he called Bill back, he was doing much better.  We were really happy to hear that and be able to talk to him.

I did lots of bird watching today.  So many birds.  Feeders are getting low and will need to be filled tomorrow.  It will be 60 degrees so will be a good day to do it.  I am watching for our first Robin.  Gayla saw one at her house a couple of days ago, so I am hopeful it will be soon that I see one.

I sure am enjoying checking to see what sells on Kimmy and Jared’s Etsy.  They have been getting amazing reviews because of the rest quality, colors, beauty for their pottery and their great service.  I always check every day to see how they are doing.  They are getting steady buyers.

Cindy drawing pictures with her grandson
Bill in the truck with his Coldstone Chocolate covered waffle bowl loaded with ice cream and toppings.  Mine is next to him.
We went through a car wash.  I’m sure these ducks loved riding through it lol.  Bill has all his ducks in a row!!!!
Bill going through the check in line.  He had a pocket knife in his pocket which he forgot about, so they had him take it out and put it in his Jeep.  Evan and Jack were waiting for their turn to walk through the metal detector.  I just went over to a lady who had me open my tiny Patagonia cross over purse which can’t hold very much.  I didn’t have to go through the metal detector.
I took this picture of Evan and Jack.  I was showing them they aren’t as tall as they think lol.
Our Church Worship team played worship music before the game. They did an amazing job.

Waiting for the Hockey game to start.  Me, Bill, Jack and Evan
Cindy and Lew

Our Church made the Welcome List

In the morning, we went to Faith Rider’s Chapter meeting.  There was a good turnout.  I had to wear the Birthday Hat and they sang Happy Birthday to me because my birthday is this month.  It was a good meeting with lots of great input and a great message from our Chaplain.  After the meeting, we stopped at Vikki’s and picked up two nice baskets she had on the porch for me for under my end table.  She had a sore throat on and off, so we didn’t take a chance...that’s why the porch pickup.  Thanks Vikki.  We came home, got my car and went to Meijer to fill the Jeep and my car with gas for $1.00 off up to 30 gallons.  We left my car there, and went to Ann Arbor so Bill could pick up a new front bumper for the Jeep.  He really wanted this one, and the guy traded him for the one that had been on our Jeep and also threw in a wench.  Bill was very happy.  We met the guy in a shopping plaza, and afterwards saw a Coldstone Creamery.   We decided to go there.  Our ice cream bowls sure were delicious.  It was sunny out and a beautiful day for a drive.  We got home, read our Bibles, and had 15 minutes to relax.

We went through a car wash, went to the ATM at the bank, and then went and picked up Jack and Evan to go to the Hockey Game with us.  Wes and Gayla were unable to go because of sickness, so Don had their tickets and they had him give them to us for Jack and Evan.  The boys were really happy about going and we were happy to take them.  Jack was pretty excited that he can make calls and text on his phone now.

When we got there, we were in the red room and our church worship team, played worship songs for quite a while.  They did an awesome job!  After they were done, we went in and found our seats.  Cindy and Lew moved down and sat in two of our seats, so we could have theirs and have 4 together for the boys and us.  Bill and I had hotdogs and the boys had hotdogs, chips, and pretzels.  We all got pops too.  Bill and I split a large pop.  By the 3rd quarter, the score was 10 for the Canadian team and 2 for the Spirit’s.  We decided to leave because of the time change and having to get up early for church tomorrow.  The boys were really sweet and thanked us a couple of times and said they had fun.

We came home and I worked on my blog and Bill was checking posts out on FaceBook.  It was a busy but very fun day.
