11/10/16...Bill was working on the lean too on his shed and fell off the ladder. His foot hit a board and he broke the arch of his foot.

Filled some cracks in the ceiling and touched them up with paint.  Got a phone call and it was Bill.  He asked if I could come to the back yard and help him because he fell.  He sounded terrible so I about flew making sure I took my phone just in case I had to call 911.  He was out working on the lean to of his little shed and fell off the ladder.  All the pieces of wood he had propped up fell and he fell off the ladder.  His foot hit one of the boards that had fallen.  Prayed over him right away and then went to the shed as fast as I could and got him a chair so he could get up.  He sat for a while.  I took his sock off and didn't really see anything but a little bump.  He said he could tell it wasn't broken because there was no bone sticking out. Ha Ha.   So much for that diagnosis.  He rested and then was determined to finish securing the lean to boards, even getting back up on the ladder, against my advice of course.  I wanted him to come right in and ice it.  Well it wasn't long and he was heading in.  He got ready and said he was going to the VA for the Marine Corp League party.  I told him not to drive that I would take him.  Stubborn Marine....He said he was driving himself.  By the way, it was his right foot that he hurt.  He would let me drive him so headed there.  After going and having a piece of cake, he ended up in urgent care at the VA hospital.  He called me while I was shopping at Kroger.  They took an x-ray and he was waiting for results.  It ended up that he broke his arch.  It was a clean break praise the Lord.  Could have been so much worse.  Vikki and I went there to get him.  He was in a wheelchair, but they did give him any crutches to use even though they told him to stay off from it.   Vikki drove him home in my car and I drove his truck home.  Vikki was an amazing help, getting all the groceries I had in my car hauled in, letting the dog out and helping with her dad.  I got ready for our CMA meeting and so did Bill.  We all headed to Melissa's as she had a pair of crutches that were Vikki and Rody's.  Dropped Vikki off where Rody's car was.  We went to Pizza hut and as Bill got out of the car, I gave him the crutches.  He fell backward but the car door caught him.  Decided the walker was better for him so he took that in.  He was moving like a turtle.
We had a great meeting and elected new officers.  Bill is president, Bill Smith-Vice President, Gayla-Treasurer, Cheryl-Secretary, Luis-chaplain, and Matt is road captain.  I am still the Newsletter Editor, but that isn't an elected position.  I volunteered and they still want me to do it.  We came home and watched the news.
When Bill decided to go to bed, he got the walker, but yelled to me that he couldn't make it and to get him a chair.  I moved fast.  He was dizzy and nauseated.  He had taken his sleeping pills and could hardly move.  I then ran and got the computer chair and took it in there and it took much effort, but we got him slid over to it and then I held on to him and rolled him to the couch.
Sat there a minute and then he was able to slide onto the couch.  I brought him his pillow and covered him up.  I am on call if he needs anything during the night.  Sure did pray for him.  It was pretty scary!

11/8/16...Worked the polls with Vikki from 6 am until 8:30 pm. It was so much fun!

This is Vikki's yummy salad.  One of the ladies brought all this amazing stuff in for us to make delicious salads.  She had so many different things to put on it.  It was delicious.

I got up at 3:38 and got ready to go to the polls.  Started the day on my knees in prayer for our nation.  Met Vikki at Melissa's at 5:40 so she could leave her car there and ride with me.  We got there and met everyone and helped get the room ready.  We started promptly at 8.  I had people fill out the voting application and checked driver's licenses and Vikki checked things at the end and ripped the tops off ballots.  She gave out stickers too.  I enjoyed watching her as she was so friendly to everyone and had that beautiful smile.  I was very proud of her.  Vikki and I were able to take our lunch and dinner breaks together which was very nice.  We had turkey market sandwiches from Arby's that I picked up ahead of time for lunch and had yummy salad for dinner.  We also had fruit that one of the girls brought.  It was delicious too.  The chair person brought his own computer chair that was comfy.  We had hard chairs we sat on all day.  Didn't know we could bring our own chairs or I would have brought my lazy boy ha ha.  It was a fun day and it went by fast.  So happy Vikki was there with me and that all the workers were so nice.  The people voting were all very nice too.  Came home and watched Election Results with Bill.

Kimmy came over in the morning.  Vikki and Isaac came over a little later.  Isaac had diarrhea once so she didn't want to send him to school.  He was fine the rest of the day though.  He sure was a good helper.  We all washed PVC pipes and got marks off from it an he helped till it was done.  He helped carry them too.  He's a hard little worker.   Melissa came over after that and we visited and and ate lunch.  Vikki brought yummy chicken alfredo.  It was so delicious.  Melissa and Bill had a meatloaf sandwich out of the meatloaf I made last night.  Bill took the PVC pipe back and returned it and got the materials for the deck instead.  He started working on it right away.  Lenny was a good boy when he was here.  Vikki left at around 1:50 to go pick up Debbie's new puppy with them.  He is so adorable.  Isaac and I went to pick up Peyton from school.  We stayed at their house until Rody came home.  Peyton made me a beautiful card.  I think she is going to be an artist like Kenzie.  She draws really good.  Picked up snacks for tomorrow while working the polls.  Praying everything goes well and Vikki and I do ok.

11/6/16...Taught Sunday School, Bill went on a motorcycle ride, I relaxed, We went to care group

Bill went to the Army Reserves and preached to the soldiers.  There were 12 their today.  He did great.  It was nice getting an extra hour of sleep, even though I would rather not have the time change at all. Went to church and got things ready in my class.  Paul Nelson stopped in to tell me about Denise and her adventures in Arizona right now.  He is going to join her there for two days and fly home with her.  After he left, Tally Nelson came in and asked me if I needed her help.  I had just finished the last thing, so she just visited with me for about 10 minutes.  After she left, Aleiyah and Livia came in and were talking to me.  I love the Nelson family.  They are all so nice.  We had communion today.  I had 13 kids in my class.   It was a wonderful lesson on valuing others and showing honor.  My kids did great and I had Caleb for my helper which made me so happy.  Joan came into our room and put two bags of candy on the counter.  The kids asked what it was for, so I went and checked.  One had my name on it and the other bag had Caleb's name on it.  The tag said "You bring such joy to the kids" and had almond joy bars in it and kisses.  So sweet!  After class, I went out in the lobby and visited for a few minutes.  Left and ended up right behind Bill's truck on the way home.  He went on a ride with Kevin, Jeff and some other guys from church to Gladwin.  I stayed home and relaxed.  He got home and was disappointed that they didn't stop to eat or at least stop in Clare for donuts.  Good thing I gave him a sandwich to hold him over before he left and when he got home I had meatloaf, baked potatoes and string beans ready.  He was pretty happy about that.
We went to our care group after that.  Had 12 of us there.  Very good lesson on godly sorrow which leads to repentance and giving a true heartfelt I'm sorry when we do something wrong and hurt someone.

11/5/16..Melissa and I were so blessed to go see Becky, Grady and their family. They are doing amazing things for God in Iraq

I picked Melissa up at 7:50 a.m. and we headed to Becky's sister's church about an hour away.  Vikki was too tired and also had a sore throat so she didn't come with us.  We stopped at McDonald's and got Egg McMuffins.  Melissa had an orange juice. I brought coffee from home so I drank that.  It was so good.  I used my phone coupon so one Egg McMuffin was free.  It was beautiful out and a wonderful ride there.  We got there about 10 minutes before it was time to start.  Becky and Susan greeted us at the door and were so happy to see us.  They made us feel so welcome.  We had some cookies and coffee while we waited.  We moved into the sanctuary and Grady began sharing first.  Becky introduced all of us who came and gave such sweet introductions.  Christine Rocha, the Leonhardt's, Becky's parents, and Larry Tibbits and his wife were the ones I knew who were there.  I remembered another couple from Faith Fellowship too, but didn't know them real well.  Had a nice time visiting with them though.  God's people are so nice to be around.  We had another break after Grady finished and went and got another cookie.  Becky shared after that and teared up many times.  She was so sweet.  It is just amazing all they are doing and the lives they are touching in Iraq. Their children are beautiful and were so sweet. Afterwards, we all gathered around Grady and Becky and laid hands on them and prayed for them.  It was amazing.  We went to the bathroom and then talked to Becky's dad, mom, and Becky. Took this nice picture of Melissa and her I put on.  So glad we went.   Talked to Vikki when I left Melissa's and went to meet her and Peyton at Salvation Army.  We went to two other thrift stores too and to Ollies.  Peyton loved trying hats on at the Upscale Resale Store.  She was so cute.  I got home and Bill had the horseshoe pits out and the shed he made on it's foundation. Don't know how he did that by himself, but I sure was happy it went well.  Looks very nice.

11/4/16..Kimmy came over...She sure was a huge help to us

Moved the king size bed upstairs.  Looking for a metal headboard now and also waiting for Kenzie to take her deer head and other stuff.  Then we are painting and putting a hardwood floor down.

Bill had a little accident with his shed.  It fell over when he tried to move it dollies.  Kimmy and I were at Kroger's getting a Home Depot card for him to go the the PVC pipes to move it, but he thought he could get it to the edge of the black top his way.  Oops.  Guess not.  I came home and he was out there so I walked out and he asked if I got the pictures he sent me.  I said no.  Then I looked and saw it in person.  Wes was there helping him get it upright.  What a wonderful friend.  So glad it didn't fall on Bill.  Thanking the Lord

This is how we moved it.  Bill pulled and Kimmy and I pushed.  It worked great
It is in place to go back into it's spot by the garden as soon as Bill has the foundation ready

It was such a beautiful day.  Kimmy came to spend the day with me.  Melissa had to pick the kids up at 11:15 so she didn't come.  Vikki had to help her Aunt Debbie so she couldn't come.  Kimmy helped us get a futon down to the basement, move a kingsize mattress upstairs and move the shed to the spot we want it.  She worked so hard.  So did Bill.  Kimmy and I went to Salvation Army to drop stuff off I had to get rid of.  We walked around for a while.  Kimmy found a garden planter which was really nice.  We came home and walked out back and saw the fallen shed, Wes and Bill.
We felt so bad for Bill.  Came in to eat lunch.  We had chicken salad sandwiches.

Bill's shed is looking so cute.  Almost finished now.

Bill relaxing

Went to Sports Zone and walked three miles.  Came home and defrosted the other freezer in the basement.  Nice to have both of them done now.  Now to cut up apples and make applesauce for the freezer.  Just got apples from Charlie and Sue.  They picked them up for me when they got theirs.  Bill and I went to get our free Tacos at Taco Bell.  Afterwards we went to Best Buy to get my update.  They gave us a good deal so I got the iPhone 7 plus.  Bill really wanted me to get it.  It was cute because Bill asked me to stay with the girl to do the phone business while he went to look for a case for me.  He did pick out some nice ones, but I thought it was cute that he wanted to pick it out.
Good thing he has good taste.  I am blessed.  Texted Matthew to wish him Happy Birthday.  He invited us to go out to eat with him, Amanda, Rody and Vikki, but we already had plans.   At 5:30 we met Charlie, Sue, Vicky, Jeff, Dorthy, Gary, Kitty and Kenny at the Falcon club for their hamburger night.  They were the best!  Came home and figured some things out on my phone.
