3/12/18..Spent the day in Myrtle Beach, Louise had mild heart attack so please pray, Went to Carolina Opry

Pretty gloomy day with some rain.  Not many people out  at Myrtle Beach.  Love the big sky wheel but didn't get to ride on it

This amusement park is right across from the beach

You can hardly tell where the ocean is but sure can see the whitecaps

Loved seeing this restaurant with the big crab by the door

The Alabama Theartre

Inside...amazing that the person who helped us was from Saginaw.  She left when she was little.

The ocean from the condo they were showing us

This picture shows you how high up we were

The infinity pool

King Kong...Thought the kids might like to see this
Here he is from the front

Bill outside the Carolina Opry
Bill took a selfie of him, me, Sue and Charlie
All That, the group that does clogging.  They have been on television.  They were very good
The picture on the screen turned out much better than the one I took of them on stage

Grand Finale

We ate a delicious breakfast at our hotel and then drove along the beach in Myrtle Beach.  It was sprinkling out but stlll a nice time seeing everything. Saw beautiful homes along the water that make the huge homes in Bay City look tiny.  We went to the Alabama Theatre to get our tickets for the performance, but it was canceled because three members of the cast are sick with the flu.  The lady that was at the desk in the middle called us over and asked us how we would like to go see the Carolina Opry at 7 pm instead.  She said if we spent two hours at Wyndham listening to their presentation, they would give us a free dinner buffet and the Opry tickets for free.  We decided to do that, determined that our answer would be no even if they high pressured us.  We walked around at a furniture store to pass time until time to go.  I got a call from Louise and after she said hi, her daughter Becky got on.  They are in Florida.  Her daughter said Louise had a tiny heart attack and was having trouble breathing.  Becky said she was doing ok though.  They were just taking her for an Echo.  Louise wanted us to be praying.  We stopped and prayed right away.  The buffet was all you could eat.  There was chicken strips, shredded barbecue chicken, meatballs, mac and cheese, green beans and rolls. The person assigned to the four of us took us to a table to eat and gave us time to enjoy our food and then came back and talked a little with us.  The head presentation person talked (she was very good and funny and she played a dvd.)  Then Broderick, our sales person, talked some with us again and we followed him to one of their facilities to see the rooms.  They were absolutely beautiful and fun just to go through.  We went back to the place we started and he told us the price.  Only 100,000 for the top package.  We stuck to our no, and he was very nice.  We talked to him about the Lord and he was a Christian and showed us his phone with a verse a day on it.  He had only been there 2 weeks.  He reminded me of Rody and because of Rody's name it helped me remember his.  He wasn't high pressuring us at all.  Then his manager came over and presented a cheaper package.  He didn't high pressure either.  Than a third guy came and offered a better deal.  They were all nice with no pressure.  We stuck to our no and got out of there with our free tickets and full tummies.  I don't like doing that though because I stiff feel under pressure.  Still easy to say no at those prices though.  Instead of two hours, it was four.  It was rainy out though so we listened to the whole thing.  Gayla called me and said Louise has to have a heart Cath tomorrow.  She has aortic stenosis.  Please pray for our dear sweet friend who is 93.
We went to the Carolina Opry and it was fun and they had great voices and musical talent.  They had a very funny comedian too.  They honored all the veterans (many stood when they said to).  They played God Bless America in their honor.  Very touching.  It was two hours long.

More guys

Charlie, Vickey, me and Sue. My favorite part!  Shopping at the MCX...It was like a luxury department store.  We got great deals because a marine on base that was in line behind us let us use his military card.  Vickey had one we could have used, but we couldn't see her so right away he offered.  So nice.

Charlie, Vickey, Sue and Bill.  Bill sure enjoyed himself lots in there too.
I absolutely love the rug Jared and Kimmy made from Della's wool.  It is beautiful and they are amazing and very talented!!!

We sat around in the morning and drank our coffee and visited.  At 10 am we went to IHop’s For breakfast.  It was packed and there was a ten minute wait.  The food was great.  After that we went to the Marine Command Center.  Vikki had her card and they let us right on the base.  We were looking for the Marine museum but they moved it to Parris Island so we went there next.  They let us right on the base with just her card there too.  We were all surprised because when we tried to go with Christopher and get on his base, we couldn’t just go with him.  We had to go through filling out a long form and show our license ang giving our SS number.  Then they called in to check everything.  It took so long that we didn’t go.  We really enjoyed the base.  We went in to the mart and it was like Koles , Penney’s and MACY’s put together.  We found some good deals.  Bill loved it in there.  Me too.  We went to the museum afterward.  There were so many young soldiers in it looking at the displays.  They were so kind and respectful to us, always letting us go first and saying excuse me.  Young guys would tell the others to let us go first.  Vickey, Sue and I sat on a bench waiting for the guys and lots of soldiers came upstairs and walked by us sayin good afternoon ladies.
Quite impressive seeing all the respect.  We drove around the base.  It was very nice.  Went out for homemade ice cream after that. Went to Walmart and then stopped to pick up pizza for dinner.  Came back and ate.  Took Zexter for a walk.  I did my blog while Charlie, Sue, Bill and Vickey played Euchre.  I wanted to catch up on my blog.

3/9/18...Left Florida, got to Beaufort, S.C, Went for a walk, Went to Outback

Zexter reminded me a lot of Mocha

The doggie sure liked Bill

Nice Neighbor hood we stayed in.  We took a walk around it.

Sue and Vikki

right at the end of our walk around the water, there was this sign that said  "Beware of Alligators"
They have only had one there and they rescued it.

I took this picture by the sign.  That's the house we are staying in right across the road.

Left condo at 8:30 am.  Stopped for breakfast at a Waffle House.  Such a delicious breakfast!  Haven’t been to a Waffle House since we went to Florida when the girls were 12 and 14.  Mike kept telling us along during our trip that we were going to go to a Waffle House.  When we got to Chattanooga Tennessee, they got 21 inches of snow, and the only place open was a Waffle House.  That’s were we went!  Got to Vickey’s daughter Holly’s house at 5:30.  He house is huge and beautiful.  Lots of steps because the houses here are built up high because of hurricanes.  We walked Vickey’s dog around the block.  Such a beautiful neighborhood!  We went out to eat after Holly got home.  Went to a place called Bricks but there was a 25 minute wait.  Left and went to Outback and had a 25 minute wait there too.  We waited and had great food.  By the time we got home, it was 10.  Visited for a while and then went to bed.

3/8/18...EVAN ASKED JESUS INTO HIS HEART111 We left our condo at 9:30 and headed to Christophers. We all forgot to remember to bring the baby gift, wedding card and Zayden's gift that we had got at Walmart. Didn't realize it until we were too far. Had a great time with Chris and Angie. Loved holding baby Kylon. Went out to eat, came home and packed some stuff, played cards.

Bill

Sue and Charlie...thought this was so cute on the ride home.  They trusted Bill's driving so much that they fell asleep on the drive home.

We left at 9:40 a.m. and headed to Christopher and Angie's, Bill's great nephew  On the way, we realized none of us remembered the baby gift, Zayden's gift or the wedding card we had gotten the night before at Walmart.  We didn't have time to go back, so when we got to the town they live in, Niceville, we stopped at a Walmart and got the same gifts.  We got to their house and visited quite a while and I held the baby.  They had two dogs.  One was older and more mellow and the other was young and all over us. It even jumped up on the couch by Sue.  Bill held the baby too and we took pictures while we were there. We went to lunch at a restaurant on the water.  I had the whitefish parmesan.  It was delicious!  I held the baby while his mom finished eating her food.  He is such a good baby.  We headed to Eglan Airforce base where Christopher works after that.  He though we could get in by Bill and Charlie showing their VA cards.  They have changed the policy now though, so we had to go to the other side from where we were to get passes.  There were 3 foreigners ahead of us and they took so long looking their information up, that after we filled our forms out, we realized we wouldn't have enough time to go through the base.  Zayden would be home from school and getting off the bus so we told the guy we weren't going to go through.  We said goodbye to Chris, Angie and the baby and gave exchanged hugs.  Then Charlie, Sue, Bill and I went to the Airforce Museum and walked through it.  We left there and headed home and I took that cute picture of Charlie and Sue in our backseat snoozing.  We packed a lot of stuff when we got back,  made burgers to eat and then played cards  Charlie and Sue won the first game and we won the rest.
