Horse and carriage parked at the Amish Store.  They loaded lots of groceries in it before we left

Left our house at 9 a.m. Met Faith Riders at Meijer. We had a great ride for Run for the Son. We rode 140 miles with Saginaw Faith Riders and Bay City Trinity Riders. There were 42 people who attended with 24 bikes and 4 cars. We enjoyed lunch at an Amish home in Farewell. Some did more riding after that, some went to Amish shops, and some had to head home. It was a great day to ride and raise money for 4 great missions.

Bill wanted to mow the grass when we got home, but I told him to wait until Monday.  He needed to rest his back after the ride.  It doesn't look bad yet anyway.  We relaxed, then read our Bibles and devotionals.  I went outside and dug up weeds around the other brick pillar outside by the end of the driveway.  Both are done now.

I was happy Jack got to go to the track meet at Hailey's school today.   Hailey had to work there and Jack hung out with his friends he has gone to school with since preschool.  He was so happy to be able to do that.  Max got to go work at the wildlife shelter again, so he was super happy too.  Hailey and Melissa started addressing graduation invitations.

Bill made us scrambled eggs for dinner as we weren't real hungry yet.  I talked to Melissa lots and Vikki lots.  Isaac sent me this sweet text:  I can’t wait to see you tomorrow good night I love you." It made my day.  Vikki posted a picture of us together with I love my Mom.  I sure am blessed!

Friday, 5/6/22, Kimmy, Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over. Worked outside lots.

This is the only picture I took today.  False Forget-me-nots

It was a cool and windy morning.  Bill had to go have his stress test at 8.  I prayed over him before he went because last time he got really bad stomach cramps and threw up from the stuff they injected into him for the test.  This time he didn't throw up and only had a few little cramps.  Very thankful to God.

Kimmy got here around 10.  We visited and went out on the deck so she could see Kit Kat.  It was pretty cool out so we came inside.  She put a new screen saver on my watch...thank you Kimmy.  She also sewed Bill's ripped jean shorts.  Thanks again, Kimmy.  Vikki dropped Peyton and Isaac off and visited for a while with us.  She had to go to her work luncheon.  We had fun with Peyton and Isaac, but didn't get to play the 3-13 game we planned on.  Vikki brought us left overs from her luncheon.  They were beautifully done and had popcorn, a yummy chocolate carmel candy, 2 slices of fancy cheese, blueberries, a raspberry and grape, and 3 pieces of salami on a fancy pick and a edible flower which Peyton loved.  She also gave us yummy cookies,  She brought me some yummy soup too.  She won a very nice prize with a Starbuck's gift card in it.  We had a great time hanging out.  We sat outside for a while with our blankets.  Kimmy had to go pick up Adam and Vikki had to leave too.

I dug the weeds out around my plants by the end of the driveway, around my pear tree, and around my limelight hydrangea.  I also weeded all around the house and pool and put preen down.  Thankfully there weren't many weeds around the house.  I put preen down where I had weeded by the shed and in the new garden area.  It was warm working in the sun in the afternoon.  I even had to put a short sleeve shirt on.  Vikki face timed me to show me Rody's mom's house.  I have been in it, but haven't seen the basement, garage, or upstairs.  She left them the house, so they will be moving in sometime soon.  That is such a blessing for them.  Of course, they would much rather have her still be here.  It's a hard thing even though it's a blessing.  I read my Bible a little before Kimmy came, but had to finish in the evening.

Thurs., Made meal for Rody's family, took a card back to our neighbors for their baby, Went to Iain Concert,

Iain in the back row to the left of the fire extinguisher
Iain playing the big drum in back on the right
Meredith, Iain, Vikki, Bill and I.  We went to Cody's Landing after the concert.  Vicki treated us.

I got up early, so I would be ready if Vikki called and needed me to watch the kids or anything.  I read my Bible and spent time praying.  She called and said she was taking the kids with her because they would be able to cheer up Aunt Ann.  I decided to make food for Rody, Vikki and all the family that was at Rody's mom's house.  I was thinking about chili, but then Vikki said sloppy joes would be good.  Sloppy joes sounded better to me.  I started making them right away, so I could put them in the crockpot. Then I decided to make a couple of batches of brownies, and lastly I made mashed potatoes.  Bill and I took a card back to our neighbors behind us.  They just had baby Charlotte, so we wanted to give them some money for baby shopping or baby savings account.  She had said they had everything they need, so it will probably be for savings.  We had a nice chat with her and her husband. Very thankful God has always blessed us with great neighbors in back of us.

I prayed with Intercessors of America and then went outside for a while.  Vicki Beemer texted me and told me Iain had a band concert at 7 and wanted us to come.  We dropped off the food at Rody's mom's house, visited with Vikki, Rody's Aunt Ann and Vershon for a little while, then Rody, Peyton and Isaac came.  Isaac, Vershon and Rody were leaving to go pick up Rody's brother from the airport.  We headed to Iain's concert.  He did a great job playing the drums and the bands all sound great.  Vikki's stepson, Kyle was there, and he had just found out his half sister, Jordan's mom had just passed away.  Jordon lost her mom and dad who were both 51 just this year.  So sad as she is so young.  We went to Cody's Landing with Vikki, Iain and Meredith after the concert and ate.  The kids are really getting lots more talkative.  They don't have grandparents and Vicki doesn't have a mom, so they look to us as theirs.  We love them dearly.

Wed., 5/3/22, Nice sunny day out, Kit Kat caught a mouse and a vole, went to Jacob's Concert, Rody's mom went home to be with the Lord

Jacob playing his clarinet at his band concert

Hung the oriole feeder and hummingbird feeder out, put bird bath and some other things out too

Kit Kat was a good kitty and caught a vole and a mouse today.   Bill came and told me right away.  We sure were happy.  We read our Bibles and ate our breakfast.  Bill worked in the shed and I pulled some weeds, did some edging and put some summer stuff outside.
We took a short nap.  I talked to Sue.  She and Charlie might be coming to Jacob's concert tonight.

In the evening, we went to Jacob's concert.  We met Kimmy, Jared and Eli in the lobby, and they were talking to Charlie and Sue.  Jacob did amazing!  It was so nice listening to all of the bands and solos.  Jacob looked very handsome.  Vikki tried to call me a couple of times during the concert.  I texted her that we were in the concert and I couldn't answer.  I though something might be going on because she new we were going to Jacob's concert.  My texts wouldn't send in the building.  I received a couple of texts from Vikki asking us to pray for Rody's mom.  The paramedics were at her house and were trying to revive her.  They were playing the last song at this time, so I showed Kimmy, Jared and Bill to have them start praying right away, then as soon as the song was done, I went outside and called Vikki.  She was upset and told me Rody's mom didn't make it.  We were all so sad.  Tried holding the tears back, but they came anyway.  We saw Jacob, and got pictures with him and Eli, then we left right away and headed to Vikki's.  Vikki met us at her house, and we stayed with Peyton and Isaac.  Peyton cried when Vikki told them Grammy passed away.  Isaac got under his blanket and just kept his emotions to himself.  I stayed with them, while Vikki and Bill went back down to Rody's moms.  The kids and I watched a cute movie.  Peyton kept taking my hand and holding it for a while, then she would do something, then hold my hand again.  She sure is a sweet and she comforted my heart, while I was trying to comfort hers.  Isaac just sat next to me and I would pat his back now and then. Bill, Rody and Vikki got back after midnight.  We headed for home.  Bill stayed up for a while when we got home, but I went right to bed.  It was an emotionally draining night.  Rody's mom was so sweet and always loving to us.  We will miss her so much.  She loved Jesus, so we are thankful she is with Him.  We have a book of a collection of poems and writings about the Lord she wrote in a book.  It will be a treasure to have.

Tues., 5/3/22, Breakfast with Maddy, rainy day all day,

Kit Kat caught another vole and left it by the door.  Good Kitty!  I gave her some soft food, then she went and laid down in the chair.
When I got home at 12:30, I called Kit Kat and put some treats down by her house.  She didn't come, so I came in.  Bill told me she was lying on the swing.  I looked out and there she was.  She slept for another couple of hours before waking up.  Hunting must sure tire her out.

I met Maddy for breakfast at Nori's at 9.  We had a nice visit and good food.  Her mom dropped her off, but I told her I would take her home.  She had me come in and see their new apartment they just moved into.  It was very nice and she decorates cute.  She showed me the baby's room and the cute clothes and shoes she has gotten.  Such pretty things.  Maddy is doing great and so is baby.  Alec was able to hear the heartbeat for the first time at her last appointment.  I met their dog Cali too.

I went to have my nose piece of my glasses adjusted again.  He made them a little better last time, but not how they should be.  Today, he just put new ones on and they are great now.
He remembered me and was so nice.  I went to Melissa's after, then dropped off a card at the post office.

We read our Bibles.  Bill was getting ready to nap in his recliner, so I napped too.  I was tired from being up so late last night, then getting up early this morning.  It being a rainy day helped put me in the napping mood too.

I texted with my BFF, Vikki, for a while, texted with Adam, Kimmy and Vikki.  Talked with Kimmy and Vikki too.  I made meatloaf and mashed potatoes for dinner using Kimmy's yummy recipe.

Mon., 5/2/22, Walked on the treadmill,Moved the camper on the asphalt by the shed, Did lots of weeding, went to Trinity Riders

Isaac and Peyton
Peyton, Lilly and Lilly's friend....It was Lilly's Birthday Party Day!
Cute tv trays Vikki found on the side of the road for Peyton and Isaac
Today's pictures of my spring flowers....Still looking beautiful

I walked on the treadmill before Bill got up.  Had oatmeal and coffee, then fed Kit Kat and noticed she caught something and brought it up by the door.  I thought it was a mole at first because it was so big, but then, after talking with Kimmy and face timing her, she looked it up and it's a vole.  I gave Kit Kat a good treat.  These voles are worse than moles.

Jared's mom texted me and showed me her beautiful orioles she took pictures of.  I can't wait for oriole to come here.  Melissa said she had a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak yesterday. She said it was beautiful.

Bill and I went out and took tire covers off the camper, moved wheel chocks, and Bill hooked the camper to the truck.  He backed it onto the asphalt so if it rains, it won't sink in on the grass.  We are taking it in to be checked over and to have the switch and power jacks fixed.  When he went to lower it, so he could unhook his truck, one jack went up and one went down.  Weird.  I prayed for him to have wisdom and did what he needed me to help with.  He tried calling the camper place by us to have them come over to look at it.  They didn't answer.  He went and picked up new bolts for the jacks and got them fixed.  He also found a sheared pin, and replaced that.  Then it started working.  I was so happy when I came back out and he showed me what he did.  The camper guy called and told him he did exactly what they would have done.  Bill was very happy too.  I did some weeding, then came in and we both relaxed until we had to leave for Trinity Rider's meeting.  A half hour was not enough resting time, but it had to do.  The meeting went well.  On the way home, Bill drove me to the airport so I will know where I need to go and park when I pick up a friend from church who is flying in at 11:16 p.m.  I am giving her a ride home.  I was thankful he took me there, because our airport is new and I have only been to it once.  It's 10:48, so I will leave in a couple of minutes to go get her.

Sunday, 5/1/23...Went to Biker Blessing at a church in Ovid, Great worship, great message, great fellowship

Bill, me, Elaine, Barb, Ron, Mike, Don, Isaac, Lew, Brad and Jenny before we took off in the morning
Bill, Isaac, Mike, Cindy and Lew listening to the message the pastor was giving.  Worship was amazing!

Our Faith Riders Group at the Biker Blessing
Cindy, Lew, Barb, Ron, Don
Gary, Isaac, Elaine, Mike and Bill
The pastor of the church let Bill make an announcement about our State Rally for CMA
Bill looking at Gary's bike, Sandusky Chaplain with the  CMA back patch on to the left and in front of Bill.  The guy he's talking to in the red is an amazing worshipper.  I told him how I loved how he worshipped.  That's how we love to worship.  He talked to us for a few minutes, then told us he is the pastor of a church we pass on our way to Sandusky.  Paul, the chaplain was trying to schedule a church visit date with him.  I definitely want to go to that one.
Bill...the guy to the right with the long coat, took a picture of the State Rally Postcard front and back. He owns an advertising company, and wants to advertise for free for us.

I went outside and Kit Kat was laying on the top of her cage all comfy.  She rolled over to look at me, but didn't move from her spot.

We left our house at 8:05.  Stopped and got gas in the motorcycle, then met everyone at Meijer for a take off time of 9.  They took rain out of the forecast for our area today, so we were thankful for that.  We had prayed.  We visited for a while, prayed as a group, then took off.  It was nice until we got almost to Ovid, then we saw rain clouds.  We forgot to look at what the weather was going to be like at our destination.  It sprinkled, but just off and on, so we didn't need to stop and put our rain gear on.  I quit raining when we arrived at the blessing of the biker's event.  It was a nice day and got up to 63.  We had lots of opportunities to talk to people about Jesus, worshipped to awesome worship music, and heard a great message.  Then we were blessed with free meal tickets because Bill is a veteran.  They had pulled pork hot out of the cooker, delicious barbecue sauce, buns, baked potatoes,  baked beans, coleslaw, and lots of yummy cookies.  It was all you could eat, but we were full after the first plate.  This church has been doing this for 40 years.  There were about 500 people that came and went during the 4 hours we were there.  Such a great ministry to bikers!  We talked to one young veteran from Iraq and he made a confession of faith.  We also stopped at a gas station on the way home, and another man made a confession of faith.  God is on the move!

My daffodils and hyacinths are so beautiful and are lasting so long since I covered them.  They look amazing.  I forgot to take a picture.

When we got home we tried to call Debbie and wish her happy birthday.  We got her answering service, so sang Happy Birthday and left her a message.  She texted me back later.  Her medicine is starting to work now and it's helping her.  Yay!  We called Iain too, and wished him Happy 13th Birthday.  Talked with Vikki, Melissa and Kenzie.

We relaxed, got a snack and watched a movie Vikki told us about, called The Resurrection of Gavin Stone.  Her boss told her to watch it.  It was a good movie.

We read our Bibles and then it was time for bed!
