Friday, 1/7/21, Kimmy and Jared's first lamb of the year was born, made bread, Vikki and Peyton came, Kimmy, Jared and the boys came over

Cute cartoon Lela sent me this morning.   I always write about having my morning oatmeal on my blog, so she thought of me.  Nice to have her thinking of me.  We texted for a while which was so nice. I had a good laugh at the cartoon
Eli and Lucy
Adam, Peyton, Kenzie, Jacob and Eli with Lucy
Kenzie and her new camera
Peyton drawing

Eli

I got both the bread makers going.  Had our morning coffee and I had my oatmeal.  Bill met Charlie at 9.   I did some cleaning.  Kimmy and Adam texted me to let me know the first lamb was born.  Kimmy went out to the barn and it was already born.  She didn't think a lamb would come until at least the 8th, so was going to get things ready today.  It was -2 degrees and the coldest day yet.  She had to thaw out the iodine before she could use it.
She sent me a cute picture.  Vikki, Isaac and Peyton came after school.  Vikki had to go home for a minute, so Isaac went with her and Peyton stayed with me.  We had a snack and Peyton drew and colored a picture for me.  It was really cute.  Vikki and Peyton came back, but Isaac stayed home with Rody.  She told me Kimmy and family were coming to pick up a computer for Adam, so I thawed out an Aldi's big pizza, so anyone who didn't like egg salad sandwiches could have pizza.  I sliced the homemade bread with my Rada knife which is the best.  Vikki, Bill, Peyton and I ate egg salad sandwiches because Vikki hadn't eaten anything and was super hungry.  Kenzie was coming, but went to Hobby Lobby and we knew it would take her a while.  Kimmy and family and Kenzie got here at the same time.  The boys had pizza and the rest ate egg salad on homemade bread.  We all hung out afterwards.  Jacob and Adam played a game on the family room tv.  Eli held Lucy the whole time he was here.
We watched old family videos, then watched Part of Anne of Green Gables.  We are going to finish it when Kimmy and Eli come again as they don't have a VCR so couldn't send it home with them.  Everyone left except Peyton.  She is spending the night which makes me very happy.  She is so loving and fun to have.  We had ice cream and watched Little Houses until 11:11.

Thurs. 1/6/22, Bill snowblowed both driveways and shoveled, I cleaned the kernel burner out, Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over

Bill snowblowing the driveway back by the shed.  He did the house driveway and all the sidewalks, paths and deck!  He does a great job keeping up with the snow.
My project today!  I have to take all the parts out and clean it good.  Bill can't do it with his knee replacements so I do this job and he hauls most of the pellet bags in and dumps them in the pails.  Good teamwork!

Always a good feeling when it ignites and the fire starts after cleaning.
Isaac plays the piano pretty good for never having lessons
Peyton
Danyelle and Peyton with their BE KIND shirts on!  They are both very kind!

No wind today yay!  Still cold temperatures but doesn't feel near as cold without that awful wind.  We drank our coffee and had our oatmeal, then did our morning reading and prayer.
Bill went out to snow blow the driveways and shovel.  I put on old paint clothes, rubber gloves, a facemark, and started cleaning the kernel burner out for a total clean.  The screen told me it was needed.  I took all the parts out and cleaned them and vacuumed the insert good.  I sure got black gloves with all that soot.  I always have to pray so the parts go back in right.  Not an easy process.  God always helps me after a few attempts fail.  I plugged it back in and hit ignite.  About 7 minutes later there was a nice fire again.   I boiled some eggs.  Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over after school.  We each had a hardboiled egg and donuts.  Danyelle came to pick up some graduation pictures that Rody had taken.  It was closer for her to come here.  It was so nice seeing her.  I made lots of egg salad and will be making homemade bread tomorrow to have when Kenzie and Vikki and the kids come.  We watched Christmas 2019 and this years Christmas.  We had some good laughs.  So nice to rewatch and see everyone having fun and making such cute comments.  Love our family times.  I talked to Kenzie for a long time today.  They have been painting and putting flooring down and have done an amazing job.  I talked to Melissa for a long time too.  Texted with Adam as we always do.

Wed.,12/5/21, Charlie was doing great today, Bill had therapy, I went to hear Hailey at Bethlehem's chapel, Snowy, very windy, slippery roads

Impact praying before leading worship
Song I videoed of Impact leading worship

Impact playing at Bethlehem's chapel...Hailey is second from the left in front row. They did amazing!!!

We finished moving thing around in the living room

Other direction

I got up early and went to chapel at Bethlehem to hear "Impact" lead worship.  Hailey is in her school worship team that goes to different churches and does the worship.  She did amazing and the whole group was awesome.  They are making an impact on hearts with their talent the Lord has given them.  Melissa, Bruce, Jack and Evan got to go too, because they have places for people who need to be careful so as not to get Covid to sit.  Hailey was so happy to have them there.  Bill had therapy so he couldn't go.  I videoed it all for him to see though.  When I got home, I took a short nap.  Then Bill and I finished working on moving things in the living room.  He had to splice another antenna cord to make it long enough to move things where we wanted them.  We went to Menard's afterward and it was snowing and the wind was blowing so hard it was almost a whiteout.  The roads were slick too.  I made cubed round steak and baked potatoes for dinner.  Then I worked on my journal Kenzie gave me for a while.  I watched a podcast of Brandon Lake and his wife that Vikki sent me the link to.  They gave some really good advice for young dating couples and for married couples.  They really were honest and shared about their own mistakes which will help so many people when they see how real they are and how they try to please the Lord.  Adam texted me that he had a good day.  Kimmy texted me and told me Alexa locked up and didn't wake them up this morning so they got up late.  Adam made it in time for his second class though.  Bummer on the second day!  She also told me Jacob was the only one from Meridian that passed the math class at Delta.  He passed it with an A too.  He is one smart, hardworking grandson!  I am so proud of him!

Tues., 1/4/22, Charlie came home. Took Christmas decorations down in family room, changed living room around, dropped off stuff at Melissa's, dropped off stuff at Sue's

We changed the living room around.  We will be making a few small adjustments tomorrow. Yay for Easy Movers!  Vikki was sweet and offered a couple of times to come help.   With easy movers Bill and I can still do it though.  I really appreciate your offer though Vikki.

Jack came out right away to greet me when I dropped Melissa's sweatshirt off.  Melissa is looking very cute in the background

Hailey pulled in right when I was getting ready to leave

Beautiful sunset tonight.

Adam started his new school today.  I sure am praying for him.  I talked to Kimmy and it sounds like everything is working out good.  Bill and I had our coffee and oatmeal this morning.  Did our reading and prayer time too.  I put the decorations away in the family room and Bill hauled the tubs upstairs for me.  I put all of the tubs from yesterday and today in the attic.  I also cleaned out the green bedroom and put the Christmas wrapping paper, bows, etc. away with the Christmas tubs.  Bill and I moved the living room around.  We changed it so it was more work, but seems nice for a change.  There are a few more things we need to move a little tomorrow.  Talked to Sue a few times today.  Also talked to Marie.  She does have Covid so prayers are very appreciated.  I dropped Melissa's sweatshirt and also a bird seed pine cone Kody made for her off.  Jack was right at the door when I got there so I got to taIk to him.  I got in my car to leave and Hailey pulled in.  I got out and talked to her for a few minutes too.  Her impact worship group at school is doing the Chapel at Bethlehem in the morning and I get to go.  Melissa and Bruce are going too.  I am excited to hear Hailey.  Adam texted me and said it went good today.  Then he answered all of my questions.  I am thanking God for answered prayers for my sweet Adam.  I dropped some groceries off to Sue that she needed.  Bill called me to let me know he was going to pick Charlie up from the hospital.  Kenzie called me.  She sent me pictures of their living room with the wood floor down.  It is done except for the floor molding.  It looks amazing.  She showed me her shelves with a picture a nice customer had sent her and Travis of them.  She also pointed out the desk calendar with pictures that her mom gave her.  She loves it.  It sure looks cute.  I love mine too.  They want to finish the floor in the kitchen and the rest of the downstairs and then want Vikki and I to come see it.

Monday, 1/3/22, Took the tree down and took all the decorations down. Still have some to do in the family room

Beautiful sunny day, but very cold 19 degrees

All of our Christmas Ornaments Debbie and family gave us from Bronners.  So beautiful!
I sent her this because she wants to make sure she doesn't get us doubles.  I didn't take a picture of the ones she got us for our 60th birthdays, Bill's 70th, our 40th Anniversary.  When I look at my tree each year, I sure have special thoughts of her and am very thankful for how beautiful her ornaments make my tree look.  I love how she has names of grandchildren on the packages under that tree ornament, and on the mitten ones and other flat tree.  Special memories of each one of these.

Plastic tubs are down and some ornaments are off the tree...it has begun!

Bill had a 9 a.m. therapy appt.  I got up and made coffee and breakfast.  Adam texted me and they didn't have a schedule for him, so he doesn't start at his new school until tomorrow.  I sure am praying for my sweet Adam when he starts.  I talked to Kimmy for a while while she was waiting for Adam to come out of the Post Office.  Messaged with Kenzie, and then called Sue to see how she was doing.  Charlie had 1/2 gallon of fluid taken off one lung, and he will have fluid taken off the other lung tomorrow.  Hopefully he can come home from the hospital after that.  I brought all of the tubs down from the attic.  Put on Maverick City Christmas music and then The Chosen Christmas music while I took the ornaments off the tree. Bill helped me get the lights off when he got home.  I packed up all of the Christmas decorations that were on tables and on the wall.  He carried all of the tubs upstairs for me.  I was so thankful for his help.  Got all but the family room done.  Bill is going to help me move furniture around in the living room tomorrow.  I went to Hobby Lobby and got a couple of Christmas items for 90% off.  Vikki called me and told me about everything being on sale.  She got a couple of great deals.  Not much left when I got there, but I did get some coffee/cocoa stirrers for 40 cents and and tin to put Christmas goodies in next year for 40 cents.  I talked to Roy and Marie did get her Covid test.  Had to wait in line 1 1/2 hours, as there were many getting tested.  They went to the drive through testing center.  I talked to Melissa in the evening.

Sunday, 1/2/22, A little slick out but we went to church, Went to visit Sue, FaceTimed with Paul, watched a movie

Kenzie took this picture with her new camera today.
Vikki cut Hailey's hair today.  Isn't she beautiful.  Great job Vikki

So happy Melissa and the boys got to meet Bo
Evan feeding Bo a carrot
Eli and Jack with Bo
Max with Bo
Melissa with Bo
Max and Adam

It snowed about an inch over night.  Thankful we didn't get 3-6 inches like they said last night on the weather.  We went to church and I went to prayer group and Bill went to pray over Pastor Ken.  Hailey was going to meet us at church, but we texted in the morning and she decided just to do online as the roads were slippery.  It was amazing worship and a great message today.  When we came home, Kenzie was here.  She didn't want to eat, but she did snack on chocolate covered strawberries.  She opened her camera which came late.  She loved it!  She put the batteries and film in it, put the camera strap on and then put it in the case.  She took 3 pictures of her and I.  One for me, one for her and one for Vikki.  We visited for a while, then she left to go to her moms.  Bill and I ate left over meatballs and mashed potatoes.  In the afternoon, I went to Sue's to visit her for a while.  We looked up her niece that passed away from Covid on the Obituary site, then we watched the funeral online.  Sue and Charlie couldn't go because they had to be careful because they both have been having some health issues.  Their niece's husband just passed away from Covid too the day before yesterday.  So very sad!  Only in their 50's.  I feel so bad for their kids and grandkids. Happy they were both believers in Jesus and doers of His Word.  We visited more, then I brought in a water for their water cooler for her.  Charlie is still in the hospital and Sue just had the heart ablation, so didn't think she should lift that heavy jug yet.  I came home and Bill and I just had Vikki's delicious bean dip and nacho chips, Vikki's yummy salsa, and some Hickory Stick for dinner.  Paul FaceTimed me, so we talked for a while.  He was happy to see Bill in the background.  He was fun to talk to and he was very happy he got to see all of us at the bowling alley yesterday.  I called Marie to check on her.  She was exposed to Covid on Christmas Eve.  She came down with a few symptoms, but said she just got a virus.  Tonight she told me she can't taste or smell, and she is congested.  I told her to call her doctor tomorrow and get an order for a Covid test at the drive through testing place.  She was happy to find out what to do.  I prayed for her over the phone and got the kids praying.  She is just the sweetest friend.  Praying her sweet husband doesn't get it too.
Bill and I watched a movie.

When we were on our road, we saw Bill on the motorcycle.  He stopped so Vikki took a picture.  It was 29 degrees out. Brrr
Paul and Bill at the bowling alley

We slept in until 9.  Sue called me and said Charlie was probably going to be in the hospital until Monday having more tests.  Bill read his Bible.  I unloaded the dishwasher, took a shower and did my hair.  We watched the Tournament of Roses Parade while we drank our coffee, and the floats were just beautiful.  Vikki, Rody and the kids came and ate leftovers with us.  We were all stuffed and too full for dessert.  Rody and Isaac left, and Vikki, Peyton and I went to see Paul at the bowling alley.  We were all happy to see each other.  Vikki gave Paul his Christmas gift.  When we got on our road, we saw Bill on his motorcycle.  He stopped and we took a picture.  Vikki told him he should go see Paul.  Vikki and Peyton left, and I was going to put all the nativity pieces from outside away in the attic.  I called Vikki to tell her she forgot to scan receipts and she said she was back here and to open the front door.  She and Peyton came back to help put away all those nativity pieces and there are lots of them.  They carried them all upstairs, and I got the boxes out of the walk in Attic and we packed them away.  What a great help they both were and what blessings.  It meant so much to me to have their help, even though I didn't want them to have to do it, and had waited til they left.  I didn't even tell them I was going to put them away.  I am blessed with the best and most caring family ever!  All the girls are so kind and thoughtful and they married the most amazing husbands too!  Then on top of that they all are raising wonderful grandkids who are always willing to help with joyful hearts too.  Bill and I watched a movie in the evening.  We were still too full to eat at dinner time, so we just had a couple snacks during the movie.  Cindy, a new member of our Faith Riders Group is doing the Newsletter for me now.  What a blessing and today was the first newsletter she put out.  She did amazing.  I have been doing it for at least 7 years.  Now I just am Web Master for Faith Riders.
