Wed., 5/18/22, HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY TO ADAM! WE LOVE YOU!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR 15 YEAR OLD ADAM!   WE COULDN'T LOVE YOU MORE THAN WE DO!  YOU ARE ONE AMAZING GRANDSON!
Max was very happy when I dropped off donuts today!  He gave me a great smile when I took his picture!  Melissa said I got each of their favorites.  I sure was trying to remember, but didn't think I actually would.
Got these amazing big throws at Aldi today for 6.49 each.  They are the softest throws ever!!!!  Got one for me the other day for 9.99, and went to go get one for the girls and Hailey today and they were even marked down more.

Evan loves legos and always likes to show me what he makes
Hailey and Abby after I gave her her blanket
Sue enjoyed watching Peyton and Isaac paint bird houses at the rehab she's in
We walked her all over to see where everything was
Isaac petting the therapy dog, while Sue watched.  It's a worker's dog so is there when he is
Peyton painting a birdhouse
Sue checking the weather outside....rainy, cool, gloomy day.
We didn't know Vikki was taking pictures.  It did Sue so much good to get out of her gloomy room and see different scenery.  Vikki and the kids met me there and visited.
This handy drawer in the camper refrigerator  keeps these containers from sliding around.

I got up at 6:30 so I could call Adam and wish him Happy Birthday before he went to school.  He was in the bathroom, but heard his phone ring, so he ran to get it and called me back right away.  I loved talking to him on his birthday, and can't wait to celebrate it with him.  I went back to bed for a while after that.  I was just about ready to get up, when Sue called.  I talked to her for a while, and she was feeling depressed.  She hasn't had a show since she has been in there, and when she puts her call light on to get help (which they told her she has to have) going into the bathroom, it takes them forever, so she goes in herself.  They are short staffed like most other places.  I went and got Maddy's shower gift, then picked up donuts and took them to Melissa and kids.  Got Melissa a mocha too.  They were all so happy, it made me happy.  I enjoyed seeing the kids and getting to visit for a while.  They had to get back to their school work, so I left to go see if Aldi had blankets left.  They had 4...exactly what I needed.  I decided to go visit Sue and cheer her up.  Vikki called after she picked up the kids and decided to go with me.  Her room was dark and gloomy when we got there.  Her roommate was out, so we opened the blinds and pulled back the curtain, so Sue could see out.  We also sat the head of her bed up.  She seemed to cheer up after that.  Her roommate came back in and the put her in bed, then closed the blinds and pulled the curtain.  We had them help Sue into her wheel chair, then walked all over seeing the therapy room, activity room, patio room, chapel and nice gazebo outside.  I had to leave to go get groceries, so I could pack them in the camper, but Vikki stayed and took her for another walk. They saw the cat and the dog this time.  They also saw Joaquine's dad who is also a patient there.  I put Vikki's blanket in her car when I left.  I went to Jacks and Meijer, then dropped Melissa and Hailey's blankets off.  I told Melissa I was coming, so Hailey came there too. That made me happy!

I came home and loaded all the groceries in the camper.  Sure made it easy by just driving back there and carrying them in.  I made ground bologna and chili when I got in the house.
Made extra to give to Charlie.  He's going to pick it up tomorrow when he's in town for an appointment.  Melissa, Hailey and Evan came over to pick up a copy we ran off for Evan for school.  They couldn't get it to print on their printer.  Bruce figured out how to while they were here getting the copy we ran.

Tues., 5/17/22, Bill and I power washed and scrubbed the 5th wheel, I washed the windows, Watched Peyton and Isaac,Packet lots of stuff

Bill
Bill...he sure worked hard today!

We got the bike all loaded in.  Bill does a great job driving it in.

Maddy and I had breakfast at IHops at 8.  We had a nice visit and lots of laughs.  She is so much fun.  Baby is about 2 lbs. and she is feeling great.

I listened to worship music when I got home.  I took Stacie's plant from Vikki and Rody to her house and dropped it off.  I ran my camping list off and started packing.  Made my grocery list out too.  Bill and I power washed the 5th wheel.  He had to take his rototiller to Brad's for him to use, then he met Charlie for coffee.  I washed the windows in the camper while he was gone.

Vikki dropped the kids off for me to watch while she went to her ultrasound.  She forgot and went to the bathroom here.  She got busy fast and drank all the water she needed to and just had enough time as she couldn't have any water after 3.  We had Fat Man Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Sandwiches.  The kids wanted to go hang out in the camper, so I took a load to put away.  Had to pack today, because rain is in the forecast all day tomorrow.   When Vikki got back, she brought me out a pop to pour into the hospital's ice that we all love.  It was so good.  She had one with me.

I pulled some weeds out of the cracks of the asphalt by the shed.  I surprised Bill and had the carpet all rolled up and things moved for him to put his motorcycle in the camper.  He sure drives it into the motorcycle chock good.  We ate late.  He ate cereal and I ate left over spaghetti.  I gave Kit Kat attention under the gazebo with the lights.  I was too busy to give her much attention today.  She didn't like the food I had in her feeder.  I put Purina in it and sure made her happy.  She chowed down.

Texted with Adam.  We are excited about his birthday tomorrow!

Beautiful sunset tonight

Sue called me at 7:30.  She doesn't like the place she's in and would like to move.  We prayed about it.  Bill went to breakfast with Charlie.  I ate my oatmeal and drank my coffee out on the deck, then prayed and read the Bible.   Kit Kat laid next to me the whole time.

I went to pick up Jack and got us lunch from Culver's.  Vikki called and wanted me to pick up Peyton from school because she had a tummy ache.  I couldn't, so she called Papa and he did.  We went to the park and ate at a picnic table.  We had a nice talk.  Jack wanted to come hang out at our house, but he had to get back home to work on his schoolwork so we couldn't.  Boo Hoo.  After I dropped off Jack, I stopped at Aldi and then came home and spent time with Peyton.

I went and picked up Isaac when he got out of school.  The kids wanted me to scrub the floors in the camper so they could come out with me.  Isaac carried my water.  They laid on the top bunk and watched a cartoon while I did the floors which didn't take long.  Vikki got here right after I finished and sat in the camper for a while with us.  Bill's sister, Debbie, came which really made me happy.  I haven't seen her since she was so very sick and was crying out for us to pray for her.  She looked great today.  She took Vikki, Rody, the twins, Bill and I all out to Olive Garden.  She also brought me a book she got me about Mothers and Daughters in the Bible.  I have been sending her scriptures every day which helped her so much, so she wanted to get that for me.  So sweet of her, but sure wasn't necessary.

After the Olive Garden, we went to the Swan Valley Ball game and watched the team the Marine Corp. League is sponsoring.  They were ahead when we left to go to Stacie's to take DJ his birthday card and gift.  We had a nice time visiting and seeing all of their animals.
Texted with Adam.

Sunday, 5/15/22, Went to church, lunch at Coty's, Bill fixed our trunk on the motorcycle, Melissa, Hailey and Jack came over, worked on addressing Hailey's Graduation invitations

Kit Kat all comfy next to me on the swing
She was on my lap, but I didn't want her to snag my shirt so I put her next to me and she put her paws on my lap.  She sure has turned into a cuddly loving cat!
Things are so beautiful outside now.  Kit Kat caught another vole today and brought it up on the deck.  We don't have any dirt trails in our lawn any more and we had lots of them.

Hailey and Jack came through and sent me pictures!!!

Hailey playing her guitar for Impact while leading worship at St. Lorenz School's Chapel in Frankenmuth.  They sounded amazing and played such good worship songs.
Evan with his note and cookie for his birthday from Ann, their friend and neighbor

We went early to church so we could go to prayer first.  The sermon was a good one and worship was really good too.  After church we prayed for people.  We went to Cody's for lunch with Diane, James, Ralph and Nancy.  We had a good time visiting.

I have five new ferns coming up this year besides the ones I had.  I love ferns.  All the plants look so nice this year.  So much fun watching them grow.  I sat on the swing outside for a long time watching the birds and giving Kit Kat attention.  Cleaned out the hummingbird feeder and refilled it.

Melissa, Hailey and Jack came over.  Bill had called me right before they got here to have me come look at what he did to our motorcycle.  Melissa and I walked out there and he showed me he was able to fix our trunk so it closes good now.  I could hardly get it to close before.  So happy he fixed it. Jack was on the deck and was super happy that Kit Kat was so friendly and cuddly.   Bill and Jack played ping pong and hung out in the family room while Jack played Mario Cart.  Hailey and I addressed Hailey's graduation invitations, while Melissa stuffed them, sealed them and then stamped return addresses on them.  We got a lot done.  Bill, Hailey and Jack had Big Man Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Sandwiches when we were finished.  Melissa showed me some cute videos of Max talking when he was little.  He was so cute!  I forgot to take any pictures while they were here, so I texted Melissa while she was on her way home for them to send me one.

It rained last night, then again today for a short time.  It was sprinkling when Melissa and the kids left.  My plants are happy I'm sure and so am I because I don't have to water them.
Talked to Vikki a few times.  Texted with Adam and Eli.  Eli and Jack face timed me today, but then realized they didn't mean too.  It was a boys only chat.  I teased them a little then unjoined.  They are so cute and funny.

Sat. 5/14/22, Went to Faith Rider's Meeting, Bill collected money for veterans, Played Skip Bo with Adam, Visited Sue

Cute picture Vikki sent me of Isaac and Peyton and the squirrel.  It came really close to them  before it went over there to chew
Everything is getting so green and beautiful

We had a yummy breakfast at the Faith Riders Chapter and good fellowship.  We were happy to have Adam with us.  Nice that Bill and Sabrina brought their twin grandsons too.  They are 4 years old and were so good.  Of course Adam was good too.  Bill had to leave early as he and Alec were collecting money for veterans at the door at Pat's in Freeland.
Adam and I watched worship on the TV.  Such amazing worship too!  We played a game of Skip Bo and I beat him.  He sure tried hard but just didn't get the right cards.  He brought the big fan upstairs for me and I brought the little fan.  I took him to meet Jared at 3:20 at the soccer field he was supposed to ref at.  It was cancelled because of a chance of lightening strikes and storms.  I got gas in Midland for $4.15 and then went to Meijer for a few things.
Melissa called me and asked if we got the bad storms with hail like they got.  I told her I wasn't home.  When I got close to our house, there wasn't any signs of rain until I got to the neighbor's driveway right next to us.  So weird.

I went to visit Sue.  Her room sure isn't nice.  It's tiny with a bed the size of a cot.  She isn't on the window side, so it's pretty blah.  They don't even have chairs for visitors because their is no room for even one.  I had them bring in a chair, but it couldn't stay in there because there was no room to move..  I was happy Sue has such a great attitude.  We had a nice visit and I showed her the pictures of her fall Vikki took.  She told me there is a priest there they said, but he asks the patients if they're catholic and if they aren't, he won't pray for them.
Unbelievable!! I visited for about 1 1/2 hours.  Bruce and Melissa had been there to visit before me.  Sue's leg was swollen and sore.  She hasn't started exercising it yet.  Today they just worked on exercising her arms.

Talked to all of my girls today, texted with Adam and face timed with Eli and Jack.

Friday, 5/13/22, Rody's Mom's funeral...so good to hear her honored by so many, I will miss her lots!

Me and Vikki having our sundae at the church women's night.  Vikki sure knows how to make a sundae right!
Our table of ladies...we had fun together
Vikki took this picture of our front yard when we got home.  Bill had cut the grass.  Vikki loved how there weren't any mole or vole trails or pop up spots.  I love it too!  Thanks to Kit Kat!

We went to the funeral home at 10.  Rody's brother Jamie greeted us by the door.  I gave his his card, then he walked us in to the front of the funeral home where the family was sitting.
After we gave our condolences, we sat and watched the video.  It was put together so nice and had such nice pictures and memories.  Peyton was having a hard time.  Isaac was too, he just doesn't show it as much.  Vickie's life was honored by many, then Vikki went up and spoke and of course had me in tears.  She cried, but did a great job sharing about special memories of Rody's mom.  After her, Vershon went up, and he was having a hard time, so Rody walked up next to him and hugged him.  Then Rody shared and then Jamie.  It was very touching.  Wes, Gayla and Charlie came to the funeral which meant a lot to us.  We went to the cemetery afterwards.  Kimmy's boys were pallbearers and did a great job and looked so nice.  Bill and I treated family members who wanted to come to the Olive Garden afterwards.  There were 18 of us and it was good to spend time together eating and relaxing after the funeral.  Kimmy and family and Vikki and Peyton came over to our house afterwards.  Peyton went home with Kimmy and Vikki and I went to the Ladies Night Out at our church.  We made yummy sundaes, played an ice breaker game, visited and heard a short Bible message.

We met Kimmy and Jared in Freeland and picked up Peyton and Adam.  Adam spent the night with us in the camper.  It was his first time sleeping in this camper.  Of course we played 3-13 and Skip Bo in the camper too.  Bill won 3-13 and I won Skip Bo.  Poor Adam. We all went to bed after that.  Adam slept in the back room of the camper.  We all slept good, except Bill had to get up 3 times for potty breaks.

Sue was moved last night to St. Francis.  I plan on visiting her soon.

Thurs., 5/12/22, Debbie and Tom's 43rd Anniversary, Went to Lonnie's funeral, Olive Garden with Wes, Gayla, Marsha and Jim,

Bill, Wes, Gayla, Marcia and Jim.   We had windows on two sides so it's not the clearest picture.  We had this room with this big table all to ourselves.  The table had a turn table just like our one at home.  Good time with friends after attending Lonnie's funeral.

Max getting the owl out of the cage

My sister Linda and I with our pet raccoon

Bill had a dr. appt. at 8 a.m. to have a couple of moles removed.  It went well.  Praying for good results from the lab.  I ate my breakfast outside and enjoyed my coffee.  Kit Kat kept me company.  Lots of fun watching all of the birds while sitting there.

Bill got home and we got ready, then took the motorcycle to the funeral home for the funeral.  Lonnie used to work at the funeral home and he and his brother would ride their motorcycles in the procession to make sure everyone was safe.  We talked to Roz and hugged her.  She lost her twin brother last month, then her husband, then her best friend (Rody's mom).  Lonnie and her have always been special friends.  The funeral was an amazing celebration of Lonnie and how he faithfully and humbly served Jesus.  The truth was preached and many scriptures were shared that were so meaningful.  Everyone was required to wear a mask, so safety for everyone was a priority.  Bill got up and shared about Lonnie and their belonging to CMA.

After the funeral, we went with Wes, Gayla, Jim and Marsha to Olive Garden for soup and salad.  It was so nice to have a room all to ourselves.  Bill and I had to leave to get to the theater at 2:15 for our free movie, Family Camp.  Air One Christian Radio, gave us free online tickets again.  Everybody else left when we did.  We had popcorn and shared a pop during the movie.  It was a Christian comedy, and I did have some good laughs, but it seemed so fake, I wouldn't buy this one. It was an ok movie.  Really like that these movies have no bad language in them.

We came home, and Bill worked in the shed and I worked on pulling weeds.  I got tired after doing lots, so sat outside and read my Bible and did some praying.  Kit Kat kept me company again.  She is good at staying around here.  I thought about it being Debbie and Tom's anniversary, so wished her a happy anniversary.  She was my best friend, and then became my sister when I married Bill.  After reading and watching birds again, I was rested enough to go pick up all the weeds I pulled and put them in the trash can. Then I watered plants with the hose.

Bill and I had big ice cream sandwiches with  Cookies and Cream ice cream when we got in the house.  We watched Hailey's Impact Group's video of when they led worship for chapel at St. Lorenz.  They did awesome at leading worship.  I am so proud of Hailey!

Max and Bruce started volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation facility.  Max absolutely loves it and today he had to clean the owl's cage, which meant he had to move the owl out, and then back in again.  Last week they had to wrangle squirrels to let them out in the wild again.  Lots of adventures.  Max was so happy when he heard I had a pet raccoon when I was little.  He was even happier when I had a picture to show him of me and my sister with our baby raccoon.  The girls had never seen the picture, so they liked seeing it too.  They had heard the story.  He has loved animals from a very young age.  I am very proud of him too.  He wants to do some kind of veterinary related work.  I am proud of all my grandkids.  They are all respectful, kind, hard workers who do their best at whatever they do.

Kimmy and the boys thought Thor got killed by a car today.  They were all sad, and Kimmy.  I was happy when Adam texted me and told me never mind, it was a cat identical to Thor, but wasn't Thor.  Those boys love Thor!!!  Me too!
