11/21/15 Celebrated Thanksgiving today! So much to be thankful for!

So happy Sue and Chuck came over to celebrate with us.  Love this picture of her and Isaac

Ten blessings from the Lord I am so very thankful for.

Fun playing Apples to Apples.  Such a fun family I am so very thankful for.

Cocoa time for the grandkids!  Poor Peyton burned herself drinking hers.  She finished it when it was cold though.  One of the kids only got 1 marshmallow because I ran out and Jacob gave them one of his.  He is so thoughtful.

Fun family dictionary time.  We had such a good time.

Peyton and Evan very carefully putting the dominoes in the box so the cover will fit.

Love this picture of Peyton!  Cute of Evan except he wasn't looking at me.

Love this picture of both of them!  Happy Evan gave me such a nice smile this time.

These pictures are worth a thousand words.  None of the girls had scrapers in their cars so the guys had to use brooms.  It took us a while to find ours too, but now they are in our car.

Got up at 6 and started preparing the Thanksgiving meal.  Started making dressing and realized I didn't thaw out any burger for it.  Went downstairs and found a small pack so put it in a dish and defrosted it in the microwave.  Then cooked it on the stove.  Stuffed one turkey ( I could only get 14 lb. ones for the 59 cents a pound this year so bought two.  When I went to get the other turkey out of the basement frog,  I thought it felt like it wasn't quite thawed.  Went to take innerds out and they had a packet of gravy stuffed in it that was frozen solid.  I put the turkey in water to thaw it and it only took about a half hour.  Got the ham cut off the bone and going in the crockpot.  Got ready and did my hair and then peeled potatoes  Had the food all set when the kids got here.  Happy when Kimmy, Jared and the boys got here.  Jacob played a lot of songs on his clarinet.  Lots of Christmas ones too.  He is amazing as he has only been playing 3 weeks and knows so many songs and plays so well.  I loved listening to him.  Very proud of him.  Took videos of everyone.  Kimmy made the punch for me.  She also brought two delicious apple pies.  Adam made one by himself and cut the apples for the other one.  They were so good.  Melissa and her family and Vikki and her family got here around noon  Bruce got called into work so we quickly got all the food ready and Bill cut the turkeys. Kimmy and Jared did the potatoes, Kenzie wanted to make the gravy also the second batch of punch. Chuck and Sue got here just in time to pray with us and then we ate.  Bruce left, but wasn't gone too long.  We had our dessert after we rested a while and let our food settle.  Then we played Apples to Apples and then pictionary.  So much fun with this special family God has blessed us with and special friends too.  When the kids went to leave, there was lots of ice and snow on their cars.  None of them had a brush or scraper in their cars.  Bill looked in our car and we didn't have one either.  At least I did know where mine was and told Bill so he got it for them.  They had to use the broom for a scraper too.  They all made it safely home.  God is so wonderful and Awesome.  I give Him thanks for who He is and what He has done for me.  I also thank Him for my girls, son-in-laws and grandchildren and so much more.  Could write a book on all He has done for me and my precious family.  We are truly blessed.

11/20/15 Ruth Kish's funeral, Vikki Eddy's presentation

Went to Ruth Kish's funeral showing this morning.  I couldn't stay for the funeral because I had to meet my best friend, Vikki, but Bill stayed for it.  Went to Logan's to meet Vikki at 11:30.  We both ordered grilled salmon, potato and one side dish.  Mine was a salad and she got veggies.  We spent a long time visiting afterwards as we didn't have to be at her brother's business until 1.  When we got there, her brother, his daughter and son, Vikki's mom and dad, and Stephanie's boyfriend were there.  Vikki did an amazing job giving her presentation.  How nice that most of her family could be there to listen and comment and that she invited me.  I stopped at Meijer's on my way home to get sherbet for the punch and jello salad for tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner.  Meijer's was all out of orange so I had to go to Pat's in Freehand to get it.  When I got home, Bill had a new Stable made for my outside  nativity.  He put hinges on it and made it out of treated wood.  Now he can just fold it up each year.  It's beautiful.  Made rolls, pies, jello salad, and cranberry relish.  Watching a Mandie movie and then going to bed.

So cute of these kids and their stuffed animals
My cute kiddos at church.  Lincoln, Aleyiah, Iain, Jacob, Jack, Sienna and Gigi.  Love these sweet kids so much.

Got up and got ready to go to Northville with Vikki and Isaac for his dr. appt.  Bill hugged me and prayed for me while he was hugging me for our safe trip.  So Sweet....especially as they were forecasting heavy rain and we had to go all the way down by Novi.   I picked Vikki and Isaac up at 9.
We didn't have much rain at all, just a little before we got to the Mall where Build a Bear was.  The mall was beautiful.  We found the build a bear store and went in.  Isaac picked out his bear and then we took it to the lady to have it stuffed.   He picked out a heart and she had him hold it by his heart so it would be loving and hold it by his muscles so it would be strong, etc.  After that he picked out a shirt and some shoes.  He was pretty happy and was so cute when he got in the car.  We were done early so found a Tim Horton's and went there for donuts and drinks.  After that we went to Isaac's dr. appt.  The doctor was so calm and sweet.  He explained things well and even drew a few pictures to explain why Isaac was peeing crooked.   He will have to have surgery to repair it.  The dr. said it is pretty common.  We left there and headed home.  Only very little rain.  YAY.  Isaac fell asleep on the way  home.  When we got to Bridgeport, Vikki woke him up and we went to Cracker Barrel.  Vikki and I had yummy chicken tenderloins, mashed potatoes, green beans, and delicious mac and cheese.  Everything was so good.   I got home around 5;30.  Did a few things and then went to church for my kids care group.  We had a fun time.

11/16/15

Hailey, Papa and I played Sorry.  It took me forever to get out of start.  They were almost all in their homes when I kept getting mine out and getting 4 backwards.  I only had to take one around the whole board.  They only needed to throw the right number to win and I got around and threw the right number first and won.

Hailey watching a movie with us!

After I got up, I started cleaning the house.  Scrubbed the kitchen floor.  It needed it after  making applesauce and having juice spots on the floor.  Got the living room, dining room and foyer cleaned.   When Bill came home he wanted to go to Sam's Club and walk around.  We went and picked up a set of colored LED Christmas lights.  We needed one more for outside.  Picked up two packs of socks to donate to the jail and picked up Jiff Peanut Butter to give to Pastor Ken.  Came home and I cleaned some more.  Got a couple of drawers cleaned out.  Called Melissa to see if it would be ok if I picked the kids up from school.  She said yes, so I stopped at Vikki's for a few minutes and then went to pick them up.  Surprised them and took them to Tim Horton's. Wish I would have taken of a picture of the kids at Tim Hortons.Asked Melissa to meet us there so she could have a Mocha and donut with us.  There was a 12 car pile up accident on Center between State and Brockway.  Praising God that I picked up the kids because she might have been in that spot when the accident happened if she would have left on time.  Hailey came home with me to spend time with us.  We played Sorry and watched a movie.  Ate spaghetti for dinner.  We drove in the car and Bill took the truck and gas cans and we got our 35 gallons.  Gas was 1.98 and we had 80 cents off a gallon, so we only payed 1.18.  YAY   Took Hailey to Ollies after that and then took her home.  Bruce put my shampooer in the car for me.  I was going to take it back until Melissa had time to do the rest of what she needed it for.  Her dad told her that she had time today since I was picking up the kids, so she did it and was finished.  Looked at all of Kenzie's senior pictures and they are amazing.  Such a beautiful girl.  I have 3 beautiful granddaughters!

11/15/15

It was so nice out today (60's), we put our Christmas lights up.

We went to church.  Kenzie and Cole were the only ones not there.  Kenzie had to work.  Came home and warmed up spaghetti.  Bill went out to put air in the car tires, but they were all good.
Merijo and Greg stopped over to visit for a while.  After they left, we put our outside Christmas lights up.  This is the warmest we have had it when we did this.

11/14/15

Put my apples in the crockpot to make applesauce.  It was so nice not having to stir it all the time.  It turned out great.

Tons of geese back by the neighbor's pond today

Beautiful sunset tonight

Got up and peeled apples with my peeler/slicer and put them in the crockpot.  In about 5 hours, I had wonderful applesauce.  Only stirred it a couple of times.  So easy.  I did laundry while I peeled the apples.  Got some other things done while Bill blew the rest of the leaves into piles and picked them up with the lawn tractor.  Watched Last Ounce of Courage and had popcorn!  Prayed a lot for Paris and those affected by the terrorist attack.
