7/23/16...Fun time at Rock the Island....Danny Gokey and David Crowder were there

I messed up and the pictures aren't in the right order.  Couldn't figure how to straighten them out though so just left them like they are.

The girls were so happy to get two autographs each from Danny Gokey.  Also very happy to have their picture taken with him.  He was so nice.  He signed Hailey and Avery's shirts on his picture.  Reminded me of when my girls were young and 4Him signed their shirts and Maria's
Saw Vicky Taylor there.  Happy to see her.  Miss her since she has moved
David Crowder did amazing worshipping the Lord and getting the crowd to.

Went to pick up Melissa and Hailey at 11am.  We loaded stuff in the car and went to pick up Avery.  Got to talk to Mike when we picked her up.  He is such a good daddy.  Made Avery get back out of the car to give him a hug and kiss. We got to Ojibway and parked close in the Tennis Park.  We took a picture of the girls by the statutes.  They have them all over town and they are really realistic looking.  We found a really shady spot in the middle of 3 huge trees.  Figured we would be shaded all day and we pretty much were.  We had fun listening to Valley's band, walking around, eating, seeing friends, and relaxing in the shade.  The girls absolutely loved Danny Gokey and stood in the hot sun just to be close and listen.  They were jumping with everyone and having so much fun.  Afterwards, he autographed things for people and was so nice letting Melissa and I both take a picture and autographing 2 things each for the four girls.  Loved his concert and how he encouraged us in the Lord.  David Crowder did an amazing worship concert too. We were very blessed.  Bruce, the boys and Bill came in the afternoon which was nice.

7/22/16...Kimmy and family left for Copper Harbor...sure will miss them, but happy they will have so much fun

Sue giving Max a frog she found for him.  Sweet how she always picks up things for the kids

Texted Kimmy to see where they were.  They had some problem with the lights on the trailer so got a late start, but were by the Mackinaw Bridge.  They sure are enjoying their air conditioned new van.
I went with Bill to his VA appointment and then afterwards we went to Bob Evans for breakfast.  Came home and pulled a few weeds in the garden.  Went inside to cool down.  Vikki and the kids came over.  We went to a garage sale to pick up a kitchen Vikki got the kids for $23 for their birthdays.  Such a deal.  It was a really nice one and came with everything, even a whistling tea kettle.  The kids loved playing with it and eating their lunch and snacks at it  Fun watching them.  We
went outside for a while and they played and swam in the pool.  They also jumped on the trampoline. We sat in the shade under the tree where there was a breeze.  Came back in to cool down.  Bill and I went to Fritz's in Richville with Charlie and Sue.  They picked us up.  Had Buffet with soup and salad bar.  We went and picked Bruce's trailer up for him to take to Charlies to see if it would sell.  Yikes, it squealed and the tires would lock up when we stopped.   Called and told Bruce so he could disconnect the Electric Brakes before someone tries pulling it.  We got to Sue's and the tires were burning hot and their was lots of tread on the road right by their driveway.  We came back to our house and played Euchre.  Sue and I won two games and Charlie and Bill won one.

Hailey got up and we ate breakfast and then watched a Little House.  I took her home around 11 and then went to meet my BFF, Vikki at Famous Dave's for lunch.  We had the potato soup and salad special.  It was delicious.  It's always so nice to visit and catch up and pray together.  God has given me the best friend ever.  After that, we went to the Christian Book store and got some good deals.  We both bought a light up blessing thing and a beautiful picture frame.  Bought the movie, Miracles from Heaven and Woodlawn.  At two, she had to meet her brother and I had to go to the movie theatre and get popcorn for the Rescue Mission.  They gave me a huge garbage bag all the way full.  Not a little kitchen garbage bag but a big black one  I stopped at Meijer's and then went to Melissa's.  Filled two of her big containers with some popcorn because I knew we would never use it all at the Rescue Mission.  They were pretty happy.  Bill was too when I got home and gave him some.  Will have to tell them to only fill it half way next time.  The kids all had fun at VBS and Vikki took the great pics above.   Peyton, Isaac and their class that took music were up on the altar leading worship with Miss Emily.  They did such a great job.  Loved that Vikki videoed them.  We went to the Rescue Mission and showed the Movie, War Room.  Wes, Gayla, Loraine, Isaac, Bill and I were the ones from Faith Riders that came.  They all loved the movie, and there were lots of laughs and comments during the movie.  So many came up to us afterward and thanked us for coming.  One guy started talking to me and then I asked him if he wanted us to pray for him.  He did so Bill and I prayed for him.  This outreach is my favorite and I am so blessed during it.  We went to bed and while I was laying there I heard something on the ceiling.  I thought maybe it was a mouse upstairs so just kept listening.  Bill had his earplugs in so didn't hear anything.  A few minutes later something hit my hair.  I brushed it off right away and thought something fell off the ceiling.  I jumped out of bed and told Bill I had to see what it was.  I screamed as i saw a bat on the floor.  Bill moved really quick out of bed then.  It disappeared and Bill told me it didn't come on his side of the room.  We looked under the bed and all over and I found it on his side of the room on the curtain.  It moved again.    I shut the door and went to get a container and a broom.  I gave it to Bill and left the room again.  He called me back because he needed something to slip under the container to keep the bat in. It escaped and then he got it under the broom.  I got a container with a lid and slipped it over the bat and then slipped the cover on underneath.  Too much excitement for me for sure.  Funny thing is, Vikki was telling me that her mom and dad have bats and they are trying to get rid of them.  Weird I
Bill moved really quick out of bed then.would see a bat the same night.

Max's class...he's by Marti Meyer
Jack playing soccer.  Looking good
Peyton and Isaac learning to worship and do the motions.
Love this cute picture of Isaac and Peyton

7/20/16...Kimmy and the boys came over....last time before they go to Copper Harbor. I am sure going to miss them.

Eli, Adam, Jacob and me putting a 300 piece puzzle together
Jacob, Adam and Eli happy with the bike tire lights Kenzie got them
Jacob with the finished puzzle.  He did most of it.  He stuck right to it.
Kimmy and I went to change umbrellas and this one gave us a challenge.  It wouldn't come out of the metal holder.  We sprayed it and put it in the vise and worked on it quite a while. Finally we got it.  Looks great on the new table.
Nana and her boy, Jacob

Got up and ate and took my antibiotic.  Then went to the garden and picked some lettuce to make a salad for Kimmy and I.  Washed it and dried it, then put it in the refrigerator.  Kimmy got here and the boys came to help me right away with a puzzle I had out.  They all gave me hugs first of course.  Kimmy and I drank our coffee and visited on the deck.  We ran to Walmart and Aldi's real quick and Jacob worked on the puzzle.  The boys had ice cream sandwiches for a snack.  Later, we ate lunch.  Had pizza from Aldi's and a salad.  Worked some more on the puzzle.  Kimmy and I went back outside and sat on the swing and talked and had ice tea.  We decided to move the umbrella from our other table to the new table.  Not an easy job as noted above.  Thanks Kimmy.  Bill went with Vikki to have her car checked out.   Not worth putting that much money in to fix.
