8/12/16...cooler today which was nice

We ordered homemade pizza tonight at the pavilion.  They just started having it on the menu.  It was huge and yummy.  We have half left over for tomorrow

Vikki tricked me and asked me to help her put the shade in the camper up so I would see this.  I was fooled and gasped because I thought milk spilled.  She had a good laugh

Got up and read my Bible in the screen tent.  After that I took a bike ride and checked out the bathroom they remodled here.  They are so nice.  The showers are wonderful.  Nice to have them open again.  Came back and ate oatmeal with raisins , blueberries and walnuts.  Went out with Vikki and kiddos and relaxed in the screen tent.  Took a ride to Pinconning and went to a thrift shop. Ate a salad with stuff from our garden and chicken and cottage cheese with French dressingfor lunch  Then we went for a walk and the kids rode their scooters.  The kids stopped and said hi to Miss 

Shirley.  Relaxed more in screen tent.  It was raining so we put the sides down to keep the rain out.  Love the screen tent!  The kids had fun with the cars out there.

Called dad and he walked Four miles at the sports zone in the morning.  Then he took my car in to have the dent in the door fixed and the dent in the back from a bike fixed.  He walked all the way home from there.  Then he rode his bike back to pick up the car.  He was tired when I talked to him and had already gotten 22,000 steps.  We ordered pizza.  It was delicious.  They dropped the first one so had to walk back when the next one was done.  We rode our bikes all around the campground and Vikki had Lenny on the leash while we rode.  He did great.  Stopped to see a golden doodle puppy about 8 weeks old.  So cute and a very nice puppy.  Came back and went out in the screen tent with lights in it as it was dark.  Peyton and Isaac loved using the little lights.  Played 2 games of dice and one game of cards.

8/11/16.....Kenzie came to stay with us

Got up at 8.  Read my Bible outside and then did a load of laundry.  Peyton and I went swimming in the inside pool.  Came back and Kfnzie called.  I asked if she wanted to come live with us and told her God has a plan for her.  She said could I please.  Went to CMA meeting, than back up north.  Played cards and five right Vikki

Finished packing and came up camping to Outdoor Adventures for two weeks.  It was the hottest day of the summer.  We got things set up.  We were roasting while we did it.  Vikki came up a little while later.  We thought the air wasn't worfking in the camper because it didn't feel cold.  The sun was shining and was hot o the Windows.  We closed the shades and that helped cool it down.  

We all went swimming to cool down.  Sure felt good.  Peyton and I went to check the inside pool out.  It was so nice.  A little cooler and crystal clear now.  Here were only two other kids swimming in it.

  real chlorine smelling in there either.  Went back and made hotdogs.  I made a salad for me. Went and had ice cream after that.  Breezy treated us all.  Bill had to leave so we walked around some of the campground.  Went swimming again and the kids had fun with Breezy in the pool.  Came back and Vikki read the Bible to the kids, and tucked the kids in bed.  We played a game of cards and a game of dice.

Kimmy and the boys came over.  She brought Norman too.  It's his 6th birthday today. We ate lunch at my house and then met Vikki, Peyton and Isaac at the park.  We all walked around the pond.  Kimmy had to take the 3 boys to dentist appointments.  I took Peyton home with me and then we went to Vikki's house to wait for Kimmy to call.  We met at McDonalds after their appointments.  The kids all had shakes and we had mocha frappes.  Had fun watching the kids.  Went home and made blt's with tomatoes and lettuce from the garden.

Bill and I took Melissa's hope chest Cathy Krause had got for her to her house and picked up my hope chest my mom and dad had got for me.  Mine matches my new bedroom furniture.  So happy to have the one grandma picked out back.  It has an upholstered top so dad can sit on it to put his socks on.

We were happy to get a surprise visit from Kenzie today.  We looked at the swings and she was on one!  Then she headed for the trampoline!

Kimmy and the boys came over this morning.  So nice to have them spend the day.  The kids jumped on the trampoline, played with legos, the train set, cars and played Indiana Jones.  Peyton played with dolls and barbies.  Adam went to the store with Papa and got some bread and lunchmeat.  Poor Peyton had a PB&J sandwich before they got back and I used bread that had been in the camper.  There was lots of mold on her sandwich and we didn't notice until she was eating it.  YUK
We were thankful when Bill walked in with fresh bread.  Vikki came over with Peyton and Isaac.  She left for a little while to walk with Misty, then came back.  Lenny seemed happy to be able to be out and about again after being fixed.  The guy from Hansen's roofing came and talked to us.  We signed up for him to do our roof.  Ate chicken, potatoes and corn and then headed to Melissa's.  I stayed with the kids while she and Bruce went out for their anniversary.    They went to Applebee's and then took a walk on the rail trail.  I had fun with the kiddos.
