5/12/17...The girls all came over. We went to garage sales over in a subdivision on Hospital Rd. The girls helped put the edging around the house. Big job!

The girls all helped put this new edging around the house.  Kimmy did the digging and we put the edging in and smoothed the dirt.  Bill pounded in stakes.

Pat Clark and her daughters.  I thought you girls would enjoy seeing this picture.  They were so little when they went to school with you.

Vikki came over and said the garage sales we always love going to by us were today.  She and I went to get some money out so we could go.  Melissa and Kimmy got here and then we left.  Found some good stuff.  After we got done, we went to a garage sale down the road and the girls and they had some of the nice shirts we love so I got one for Bill and Melissa got some for Bruce and the kids. Kimmy found some great shorts for Jacob and Melissa found a swimming suit with the tags on it for one of the boys.  The girl and boy working the garage sale were so mannerly and kind.  They were giving us deals and also offering to help people load stuff in their cars.  We all worked hard putting the new edging around the house.  Kimmy dug around so we could put the edging in and move the dirt around it.  How blessed we are to have daughters that like helping us.  We are very thankful.  It looks so nice now and it is so nice to not have plastic which is full of holes down under the dirt for grass to grow through.  It looks so nice now.  Bill and I ate the left over pizza from Pizza Hut and then went to Culver's to have concrete mixers.  We went to the Home Store afterwards and also walked through Home Depot.

5/11/17...Went to our Faith Rider's Meeting. Had 22 there.

Evan all excited about the bread Ken dropped off to them

Evan told Melissa he was going to the neighbors to sell bread.  He told her to try a piece of the bread he had in his hand because it is sooooo soft.  She looked in the box and he had it loaded with bread to sell.  He's so funny.

Bill and I went to Tim Horton's and met Julie there so she could give us their money envelopes for Run for the Son.  We had coffee and I had a muffin.  Had a nice visit and happy they are arranging their schedules so they can start attending our Faith Rider's meetings again.  Left there and Bill went to cut His Restoration's lawn.  I went to get a TI30XS scientific calculator for Kenzie for her Math test.  Found the cheapest one at Best Buy and had a gift card so that worked well.  Went to Aldi's and got some food to set out for the mail food collection on Saturday.  Had some stuff at home I packed too.  Found a cute set of canvas pictures for the room I am going to redo upstairs.  Chuck and Sue came over for a while and we had a nice visit.  I showed her the kids concert videos and she really liked them.  We looked to see if a video of Jacob was on but there wasn't one yet.  They left and we got ready to go to Pizza Hut for our meeting.  Bill rode the motorcycle, but I took the car.  Figured it would be cold on the way home.  Good turnout!  We had 22 people there.  Bill does an amazing job getting things ready and leading it.  We as a chapter raised over $10,000 for Run for the Son Missions.  That is amazing.  We are praising God!

Walked at Sportszone 3 miles.  Vikki and Isaac came over and ate hot dogs and cheesy potatoes with me.  We sat outside and Vikki and I both sat our chairs up straight while we ate.  We were really sitting straight and at the same time we both lifted our handles of our chairs and went back a notch.  The timing was perfect and it was so funny we laughed till we cried.  Did some yard work.  Didn't like missing the grandkid's concerts tonight, but had our fun night at kid's care groups.  We roasted marshmallows and hotdogs on sticks and the kids learned about campfire safety.  The kids did a scavenger hunt also.  They had so much fun.  It was our last night of care groups.  Bill picked Vikki up and went to Hailey, Max, and Jack's concerts.  Vikki took great videos and posted them so I could see them.  They all did so great.  Max amazed me with doing all the motions.  I was so blessed when I saw him!  Jacob had his concert tonight to.  This was Melissa's kids only concert.  Happy Jacob has more so we could go to his other ones.  They all play excellent.

Went to breakfast.  Picked up a pecan coffee cake for Wes to celebrate his birthday.  Mike Vargas came and brought a friend.  There were 11 of us there.  Bill and Charlie didn't come because they went to a free Veterans breakfast with Jeff Eagle.  I stopped at Melissa's after breakfast and we sat outside for a few minutes.  Picked some lilies of the valley's.  Went to Kroger's.  Came home and cleaned and got ready for the potluck.  Vikki Eddy came over at 2 and stayed till 3.  We had a nice visit.  She took the decorated bags we did home. She dropped off baby formula and clothes from Shannon for me to give to Old Town.  Had our potluck at 6.  Great fun and some very special friends.

5/8/17 Kenzie took her GED tests and thinks she did great. She passed both of them so that was great news to get.

Peyton and Kenzie

Kenzie, Isaac and Peyton

Isaac, Peyton, Kenzie

Hailey with her ribbons she got at the music festival.  She got 1's (which is the best you can get)
for her trumpet trio and double duet.  Great job Hailey!  This girl has talent!

Went to Younkers in Bay City.  Called Kenzie to see if she wanted me to pick her up early to go to lunch before her tests at Delta.  She did so I headed to get her.  We went to Tim Horton's and had sandwiches.  We went to Delta to make sure we knew where the testing center was.  Then we went to Walmart and spent time there.  Kenzie found a really cute kitten shirt.  Headed back to Delta.  She finished her two tests in about 1 and 1/2 hours.  Passed both of them.  Came over to my house and Vikki met us there.  We picked up Taco Bell food for dinner.  Kenzie showed us all her hula hoop routine.  Peyton and Isaac loved it. Peyton tried it afterward.  We dropped Vikki and Lenny off at the dog park and I took her car to take Kenzie home.  Peyton and Isaac rode with me.  Kenzie went in and brought them out a treat when we got to her place.  We picked Vikki up and she had me come see this cute little dog.  Looked like Lenny only small.  Same exact color and very curly hair.
