I got in on the fun

At 9 a.m. I picked up Vikki and the twins and headed back to the campground.  We stopped for Tim Horton's French Vanilla Caps on the way.  Got back and packed to go to Tawas.  We left, stopped to see Breezyand had a nice drive there with the sun shining all day. Walked through the shops in town and got a waffle ice cream cone.  Walked all of the big dock after that.  Then we went to G's and ordered pizza.  We walked to the car and drove to G's to pick it up when it was done.  Went to Oscoda to the beautiful pet friendly park and beach to eat it and spend time.  On the way there was a detour so we took it.  After we got to the end it didn't look right to me so I had. Kiki look up the Dairy Queen directions in Oscoda. Webacktracked and found out we didn't even need to take the detour so drove right to the park.  Sure don't know why they had The signs up so soon.  We had a nice time at the beach.  Lenny loved the water even though it was cold.  Peyton was in the water quite a bit too!  It was too cold for Vikki and I.  The kids went to the splash park with Vikki while I stayed with Lenny.

Thought this picture of Katelyn and her dad was so cute.  The top picture is when a friend of her dad invited them to go in the firetruck and took this picture of her and her dad.  The bottom picture is her and her dad now.  She is a firefighter now.  Bill married her and her husband last year.

Gayla, Sandy, Wes and Ken Streeter at the Strawberry Festival

Vikki and I came home in my car.  I dropped her off.  Looked at her garden and it looks great.  She used Preen and her garden had hardly any weeds.  I went to Melissa's and picked up a plant Bruce dug for me.  I came home...I didn't use preen and my garden is covered with lots of big weeds.  I spent a lot of time weeding it, even in the rain.  It sure was muddy.  Jared stopped and picked up corn to plant.  I sure was sinking in the mud in the garden.  He was laughing and telling me not to fall which I almost did a few times.  Stopped working to go to the strawberry festival.  It was sunny and beautiful!  I was happy as I had been praying the weather would change and be nice for this.  It is a big fund raiser for Community Village and the Rescue Mission.  We had a nice time.  Greg rode his motorcycle with us and we met Wes, Gayla, Sandy, Phyllis and Andy there.  We had a yummy strawberry shortcake too!

6/16/17...Spent the day at the campground, spent time in the hammocks in the morning, went swimming twice, played putt putt with Bill, Went for a walk, Bill left, we went shopping at Northwoods, Shopco and Family Fare, Greg stopped in the evening.

John Wesley Brandle was born today!  He is adorable!  I am so happy for Jody as she has wanted to be a grandma for a long time.  Took Meredith and Iain to school.  I picked up Iain from school at 11:30.  Took him to our house and he and Bill left to take the camper up to the campground in Standish.  Picked up Meredith an hour later and then she and I headed up north.  When we got up there Bill had the 5th wheel parked across from the store in one of our favorite spots.  He had almost everything set up too!  He, Iain, Meredith and I ate lunch and then went swimming.  We had to leave at 4 to get the kids to Birch Run to meet their Aunt who will be watching them now.  They sure were good and fun to have.

6/17/17...Went swimming at the campground and went for a walk. After that I left to go home. Went to Bill Eaton's memorial service and then to Jocelynn's graduation party

Cute picture Kimmy took of the boys walking their sheep
It was nice in the morning so we went swimming.  Went for a walk after that.  I headed home and got ready there to go to Bill Eaton's memorial service.  Bill and I headed to Midland to the church for the service.  The memorial was very nice.  Bill got up and shared how Bill Eaton had worked for him and while he was witnessing to him about the Lord, Bill Eaton spit tobacco on Bill's shoe.  Bill invited him to come to church and see the movie, A Thief in The Night.  Bill and his family came and they accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  Before that Bill would put his fists through the wall and also had a fist print in his refrigerator.  After that night God made such a change in him that he became gentle as a lamb.  He was always giving us tapes, videos, etc. to watch and listen to.  He and Phyllis had a picture of the rapture in their kitchen where the believers were being taken up to Jesus and planes and cars were crashing because they no longer had drivers.  It was quite the conversation piece.  Bill painted a picture of the Lord's Supper for us and gave it to us too.  We have so many good memories of him and Phyllis.  Phyllis looks the same and was as happy to see us as we were her.  Mike is doing great and he and his family are serving the Lord.  Very proud of him!  We sat with Becky Pickett's parents and they said Becky and her family are coming back from Iraq for six weeks. They are doing amazing work in Iraq.  Chris Turner was there too.  I had told Greg last night that Bill had died and he said he was going to tell her.  I was very happy to see her too.  We all sat together for the dinner.  We went to Jocey's graduation party at our church after that.  We had a nice time there too. When I got home, I went out to the garden with my boots on (it was very muddy from all the rain) and I weeded around the plants and thinned two rows of corn.  Have 6 more rows of corn to go, but it got too dark to work any longer.
