7/23/17...Went to church and then went to the Warrior Appreciation Rally for Veterans in Frankenmuth,

Miss Joan gave all my kids sunglasses today!  They love Miss Joan! Isaac is third from the left, and Peyton and Evan are fourth and fifth from the right!  Love having grandkids in my class
We walked along here and Bill enjoyed talking to the veterans at all the tables

Two of my favorite Veterans...Bill and Doug.  Doug was a gunner who was hit by a suicide bomber in Iraq.  He is a miracle and now share's his testimony of what God has done and is doing in his life.  Two amazing men of God!  So proud of both of them

Bill and Debbie.  Debbie, Tom and Sharon were volunteers who cooked hot dogs.

Vikki in her hammock at the park

She is pointing at me in my hammock.  Silly girl!

I took a picture of Vikki in her hammock.
We went to church.  It was an exciting day because we got to see the video made of the Summer of Service and VBS last week.  What amazing youth, kids and adult helpers we had.  After that they excused the kids.  I taught Sunday School today.  I had twelve kids.  They were excited to get sunglasses from Miss Joan at the end of my class.  After church we had cake to celebrate the great week of service to the community and VBS.  Lots of new visitors at church today which was great.  After church, Bill and I went to Frankenmuth for the Warrior Appreciation Rally.  Doug was asked to do the prayer and we saw him and his family out there and talked with them a lot.  Charlotte, The little girl in my class in the pink skirt in the picture, was happy because I told her i was going to be there.  She had told her parents I was coming, so loved it when she saw me.  She is such a sweetie!
They had free hotdogs, cheese, popcorn, cotton candy, tea, orange drink and lemonade and water for everyone.  We enjoyed walking around talking to veterans.  It was nice seeing Debbie and Tom while they made our hotdogs.  Very good thing to volunteer for.
When we got home, Bill took a nap, so Vikki and I went to Meijer's to see if they still had hammocks on sale for the kids birthday.  They didn't so will have to watch for a sale again.  We went and got a concrete mixer at Culver's and then went to Walmart so I could get sunglasses and Vikki could look at backpacks for Peyton if they were on sale.  After we left there, I took her back to her car at Meijer's and we went to the park find a place for our hammocks.  We saw a perfect circle of trees, but it looked like poison ivy was growing around a couple of the trees.  Not sure, but leaves of three we let it be!!!  We walked to check some trees farther back but didn't find any where we wanted.  Wanted to be in the sunny area so we wouldn't have mosquitos.  Walked back and walked up the big hill and then saw a couple of trees we like. Put our hammocks up and relaxed and had fun!  Came home and played 3-13 with Bill and he beat me bad.

7/22/17...Spent the day at Rock the Island....Newsboys were there and Love and the Outcome....two of my favorite Christian Groups

The Drummer (Duncan) with Kenzie

Got ready and packed the stuff for our booth at Rock the Island.  It was raining when we got there.  Barb gave me a poncho to wear so I could keep sort of dry.  We set up and sat under the booth and also in the truck for a while until it stopped raining around noon.  Kenzie and I walked around and took pictures on the dock.  Vikki went to our house for me to make sure Mocha was in her cage and also to get my raincoat and flip flops.  She also got Kenzie's hula hoop.  She was coming later and was going to bring them too me.  I was so happy she did that for me.  Then Bill wanted me to run home to get more CMA brochures for our table.  I talked to Vikki and she insisted that she would go back and get them and also bring Bill's raincoat and crocs.  What a sweetie she is.  She got them and then came to the Island early to drop them off.  Bill and I met her and got them from her and she left.  Bill and I walked around with Kenzie then.  Bill and I got hotdogs and Kenzie only wanted a lemonade.  We went back and Kenzie hula hooped for us.  She is really good at it.
Walked around more and went to see Chrystal and her boyfriend at the Bethlehem booth.  It was nice and stayed pretty cool because it was cloudy after the rain.  Vikki, Rody and Isaac got there around 2.  Peyton stayed with Grammy because of her fractured foot.  We sure missed her.  We sat our chairs up so we would have good seats for the concerts and then walked around more.  Melissa, Bruce and the kids (they brought Ginny's four kids too) came and sat behind us.  The kids were all so well behave.  Melissa and Bruce walked around and I watched the kids for a little while.  I passed out snacks to them and they were so happy and polite.  Hailey and Ally got to meet the Newsboys and have their picture taken with them.  They were so excited.  Bruce got his picture with them too.  They signed their shirts too.  I was so happy for them.  They are such nice girls.  Love and the Outcome sang great songs and I loved listening to them and worshipping.  The Newsboys were the last group and were amazing as usual.  I loved all of their songs and everyone was worshipping the Lord.  I videoed some to show Jacob, Adam and Eli when they get back from Copper Harbor.  We went to get our camper's (Wes and us) and we were blocked in by cars  and campers in front of us.  Wes had yummy nectarines left in his camper and water bottles.  We only had a big box with plates and tossed food in ours.  The wife (Love and the Outcome) is 9 months pregnant...so they didn't have leftover food ha ha!  Got the camper ready so the slide outs could come in.  I looked out and saw one of the Newsboys talking to some people, so I told Kenzie to have Papa take her picture with him.  He left before they could get to him.  Then we were trying to have someone find out whose cars were blocking our way and we saw the drummer out.  I told Kenzie to come and we would get her picture with him.  We were too late; he went in their big bus. I did pray he would come back out so I could get Kenzie's picture with him before we left.
We finally got someone to move a car so the guys could get our trucks in and hook them up to the campers.  Wes had to back his camper up first and had to back in a big circle and miss campers.  Bill was on one side and I was on the other directing Wes, and Kenzie was sitting in our truck waiting.  I saw the Newsboy's drummer come out so hurried to the truck to get Kenzie.  She ran up to him and asked if she could get a picture with him.  He was very nice and asked her her name and shook her hand and said you're the hula girl aren't you.  Then he held his had out for me to shake and said and you are...and I filled in her grandma.  I took a couple of pictures and then he said he had to check them out and grabbled my camera to look at them.  He was very nice!  Kenzie was so happy and so was I.  Thanked the Lord too!

7/20/17....Went to Kimmy's, Took our Camper to the Island for them to use for the bands for Rock the Island to change in,

Jacob, Adam and Eli had tadpoles in this washtub and they are tree frogs now. They are so tiny.  There is one green one.

Me and Adam

Adam, Jacob and Eli....I got extra big long hugs today to last me while they are having fun in Copper Harbor.
This is one of the triplets that Kimmy and Jared bottle-fed.  The triplets are so big and healthy now. So friendly too!  This one let me pet him for a long time.

Kenzie wanted to do a selfie in the bathroom mirror

We went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and this chair was so soft and comfy

Kenzie made me a smoothie when we got home
I got up and got ready to got to Kimmy's.  Stopped at McDonalds and got the boys each a chocolate chip cookie on my way.  We sat outside for a while and visited and drank our coffee, then walked around and looked at Kimmy's flowers.  They are looking so nice.  She trimmed Eli and Jacob's hair while I visited with her.  She does an amazing job.  We packed up the pottery they are taking to Copper Harbor with them.  The boys are such great helpers.  Jacob was trying to beat me, but we slowed him down because we didn't want anything to break.  We went for a swim in the pool after that.  It was so nice and I sure appreciated the cool down.  I got plenty of hugs from my boys to last while they are gone to Copper Harbor.  I had my timer set for an hour because I had to get home to go with Bill to take the 5th wheel to the island for Rock the Island for those in the bands to change in.  I left Kimmy's and she called me right away because I forgot my thermos mug I love.  She was a sweetie and drove to her corner to meet me to give it to me.  Wes was there with his 5th wheel when we got there.  Bill set the outside up and I set the inside up.  We went home and Bill got another cord to take to them to use.  I went to get Kenzie to spend the night.  We stopped at Tim Horton's for a sandwich and ate outside.  We shared some yummy banana caramel crunch ice cream. I wasn't getting any, but she wanted to share hers.  After one bite, I was happy to help eat it.  We went by a garage sale on our way home and I asked Kenzie if she wanted to stop.  She said yes so I turned around.  We were looking at stuff and the lady asked me if my name was Linda.  I said no, but my sister's name was Linda.  She said I had a twin.  I heard her talking to her sister saying the person's name was Linda Schultz.  I told her my sister's name was Linda Schultz.  She told me her name and mentioned where we used to live when I was 15.  Here it was a good friend of ours and my sister's best friend back then.  I gave her a big hug and talked to her about knowing the Lord.  She said she does know Him.  She has been married 50 years now.  Good thing she recognized me because I sure didn't recognize her, but her voice sounded the same as it used to.  Her name was Cindy Richards.  Sure was happy to get to see her.  Wish my sister was still alive as I sure kept wanting to tell her.  I told Kenzie she was the most beautiful girl in school back then and Kenzie said, "Your more beautiful than she is now"  Got to treasure those grandkids and their love.  We went shopping at Bed, Bath and Beyond because she had a $30 gift card Trever's mom gave her and she wanted to use it.  We came home and I made Bill a BLT and veggies.  Kenzie made us smoothies too.  They were yummy and she made them look very pretty.  He had to run to Kroger's and Kenzie wanted to go to her mom's house so we went.  Bill was there when we got there.  He had gotten a tablet with his wedding money and wanted Rody to see it.

7/20/17..walked at Sportszone, Went shopping, Went on ice cream run on motorcycle with Faith Riders. Last night of VBS for grandkids at our church

Max with his group  (blue name tag)

Bill, Elaine, Renee, Rick, Bill, Sabrina, Melissa, Joaquin, Victoria, Dan T. and Dan, Matt and Lupe

Went to walk at the Sportszone.  Only walked 2 miles because they had redone the floor and I didn't like the smell in there.  Came home and got my Bible and went to McDonalds for a breakfast burrito and my free Frappe.  Sat and read my Bible there and then left and went to Kroger's.  After that I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and got a 10 ft. charger cord that works for my I phone and Bill's Android.  I had a gift card to use.  Went to Meijer's and got veggies, fruit and bread.  When I got home I made BLT's for Bill and I.  Picked some string beans to cook for supper.  Also made cucumbers the way my mom and great grandma made them.  So yummy.  Made chicken, peas, potatoes and had applesauce for dinner too.  After dinner we went to Merrill for a motorcycle ice cream run.  It was very hot out, but felt cool on the motorcycle with the breeze.  We had a new couple come that Bill and I had met and talked to at the Shields Festival in our booth.  They were very nice and the mom's name was Melissa and her 7 year old daughter was Victoria so I didn't have any trouble remembering their names.  Wes and Gayla had invited us to their house afterwards because their son, Michael and his wife Kathy were here for the week from Maryland.  They gave us big hugs when we walked in which was nice.  We had a nice visit with them, Wes and Gayla and Joel.

7/19/17...Got the inside of the camper all cleaned, clean sheets on beds, floors scrubbed and windows washed. Vikki came over while the kids were at VBS and we relaxed in our hammocks

Jack's group for VBS.

Max doing an art project

Isaac and Peyton with Pasia's group

Peyton and Isaac in the dance group

Vikki and my view of our yard from our hammocks

My friend, Vikki's, grandson is so cute trying to lock the door.  He sure is getting big
Got up early and was going to walk, but decided to clean the camper instead so I could do it while it was cool.  Put on worship music and started cleaning.  Washed blankets and rugs from the camper and hung them to dry.  Washed windows, vacuumed and scrubbed floors,  cleaned light fixtures, and whatever needed cleaning.  It was a good job to get done.  Watered the plants Kimmy brought me so they wouldn't die.  Vikki called when it was time for the kids to Go to VBS and she came here while she waited for them to get done.  We hung out in our hammocks.  Did lots of laughing and had fun.
Tonight Isaac loved it.  Peyton didn't.  Probably because of her foot and having to use the walker.  Bill was asked to be he head comadant for the Marine Corp. League because the person who is wasn't able to be there.  He was so happy.  They ended up cancelling the meeting though.  He went and just had coffee and talked with some of the guys in it.  We watched Highway to Heaven.
