Jacob and Rehvyn
Rehvyn wanted me to pick him up and when I did he gave me the biggest and best hug and then gave me a big kiss.  He is so precious to my heart.
Got to have Jacob stay with us while Kimmy, Jared and Eli went to Blue Thumb

Plants in front cut down and bushes trimmed.  Did this yesterday but didn’t take a picture.  Kody picked everything I cut down up for me.  Thank you Kody!

I went to Vikki’s around 9 to hang out with her and Kimmy.  She had Rehvyn so it’s much easier at her house because it is baby proof.  When he saw me he said Nana and came running to me and wanted me to pick him up.  What a sweetie and what a heart melter.  He was so cute and loves playing with all of his toys there.  Bill stopped after his VA dentist appt. and Rehvyn gave him the biggest hug and two kisses.  It was so cute.  Bill left and after I showed the girls all the tree limbs and brush he had cut down yesterday, they told me to let him know Jared and the boys and Isaac and Peyton would come after Jared got out of work and help him.  Thankfully, he listened and didn’t try to do it all himself.
I took muffins to Vikki’s so we each had one with our coffee.  Later for lunch, Vikki made us yummy pizza’s in her Ninja Foods.  We sat out on the porch for a while and then I sent Bill a text to make sure he didn’t take care of all the limbs and branches.  Again I was thankful he didn’t.  I went home at around 2:30.  I stopped and got a battery for my car key FOB because it was showing on my car screen that the battery was low.

I started making goulash when I got home.  Kimmy and Adam both got here shortly after I got home and they both went out and started helping Bill.  Bill came in and said he got stung by 3 bees, then Adam came in and needed tweezers because he got a sliver....sheesh I hope no more injuries happen.  A while later, Vikki, Peyton, Isaac and Rehvyn got here.  Vikki watched Rehvyn outside so he could play and she had plenty of others who gave Rehvyn attention.  Peyton came in to help me.  I had her make a white cake for our dessert.  I finished the goulash right before they got done.  They all came in when finished and we all prayed and than ate.  Adam said if he wasn’t full, he would eat all the rest of the goulash.  He’s so cute!  All of the grandkids love goulash.  It’s yummy and it’s easy.  After we ate, it wasn’t long and the cake was cool enough to put frosting on.  I did that and then we all had some.  Jared, Eli and Kimmy went to the Blue Thumb to get some fish.  Vikki and the kids left after I had her pack up some goulash for Rody.  She didn’t want to take cake home for him.  Jacob stayed with us and we all relaxed in the living room.  I noticed the shed light was on, so I went out to turn it off and took a clothes basket of stuff I had to go out there.  I put that all away, then packed the motorcycle stuff I need for tomorrow’s ride in the basket and came back in.  Bill had the laundry going when I came in.

Mylee was tied to the tree outside, so I gave her some attention.  She’s a sweet dog!
Kimmy is keeping her for Kenzie at her house.

Kimmy called and wanted Jacob to be ready and have Mylee untied and ready to get in the van when they got here.  They stopped at Chick-fil-A and it took a while, so now they needed to hurry and get those fish home.

I worked on my blog so I get to bed a little earlier.  It has been way after midnight the last two nights.  I talked to my friend, Vikki, and next Wednesday I am going to go to her house in Grand Haven and spend the day with her.  We both can’t wait.  It sure was a fun day and ended up being a busy day for family.  Thank you all for helping with all that work.  We love you all.

Thursday, 9/25/25, Kody came over do work for us, He was a great helper, went to Culver’s, worked more,

Kody had lots of big branches to haul to the fire pit for Papa.  He worked hard and had such a joyful; attitude.  Thanks so much Kody!

Bill worked really hard cutting branches down off of the trees in our yard

He cut the branches that were on the roof of the garage

He did a great job

We went to /evan’s first football game.  He played a lot and did great.  Has only been practicing for 2 weeks.  It was so much fun watching him play.  He’s Number !.

Papa and Evan
Me and Evan

Stacie texted us last night to see if we had any chores for Kody to do.  He didn’t want money, just wanted to help.  Bill cut down branches that were hanging over the garage from the trees and also trimmed low hanging big branches off the trees.  Kody hauled them to the fire pit for papa.  After they were done with that big job, we went to Culver’s for lunch and concrete mixers.  It was fun talking to Kody and hearing about his summer.and camping trips, soccer games,   We rode in the Jeep there and I let him ride in the front.  Papa put the screen top on and they rolled their windows down halfway (I was in the backseat so didn’t want to blow away lol)

While Bill and Kody were working this morning, I used my Stihl and cut down plants and trimmed bushes.  When we got home from lunch, Kody picked up all of the stuff I had cut off.  He really is a great worker and is quick and cheerful.  I sure love this boy!  I told him what a great job he did.  Bill had more for him to haul to the fire pit after that.  They sure worked hard.  He took a break and played basketball for a while.

Bill and I got a nice nap in.  Then we got ready and went to Evan’s first football game.  They played Michigan Lutheran Seminary.  They got a touchdown first, then Evan’s team got a touchdown next and then made the 2 points.  In the 4th quarter, the other team got another touchdown and 2 points.  Our team tried hard and did great, but time ran out and they didn’t make another touchdown.  It was so much fun watching Evan play and hanging out with Bruce and Melissa.  We left and Melissa waited to see if she could get a picture.  We didn’t think we would see him, but when we got to the end of the field, they all came across from the other end of the field and by the time Bill got out of the Port a John, Evan came by me and we were able to talk to him and get pictures.  We were really happy about that.

Wed. 9/24/25, Rainy day in the 60’s, Did laundry, worked on Bible Study lesson, went to Sam’s Club, went to Bible Study, had banana’s with ice cream

Rehvyn picking up his sink to the cupboard.  He put it in, then decided to take it out and stand in it.  Guess he is washing his feet.  He picked up all of his other toys and put them in the toy box.  He even put his big car in the toy box which you can see behind him lol.  He’s so sweet!
Evan when we went to visit today.  He had a service day at school where they build beds for Heaven Sent.  That’s why he was home early.  So proud of this kiddo!
Yummy ice cream, bananas, cashews and chocolate chips for our snack this evening

I slept in til 8:30 and Bill slept in til 9.  I got ready, then started the laundry.  Bill got up and started reading his Bible.  I sat next to him and read mine.  After that I worked some more on my Bible Study homework.  It was a rainy day, but was in the 60’s.  Got up to 68 for a high.

Kenzie FaceTimed me.  I always love talking to her and Rehvyn and seeing them.  Rehvyn is always so cute and entertaining.  He was eating a dill pickle today.  He sure loved it.  He was saying lots of family names really clearly.  Then he picked up lots of his toys and put them in the toy box.  The last one he put in was his car.  There was no room for any more toys after that lol.  He helped Kenzie sweep the kitchen floor.  He kind of gets things spread all over the way he sweeps.  Kenzie had him hold the dust pan and he held it still while she swept everything up and into it.  He’s a good worker already.  Kenzie showed me what her card for the day was out of the box I got her.  She had to go so we said goodbye and hung up.  Kimmy called me and asked me to pray for Jacob because he has an ulcer on his cornea.  I sure started praying right then.  He has to put drops in his eye.  It’s pretty painful.  He goes to Lansing tomorrow, takes his exam, then Kimmy and him come back and go to the eye doctor.  I love this sweet grandson and sure want him healed quickly, and want him to do great on his exam.

Bill and I went to Sam’s Club and got things we needed.  I only had 3 things on my list but Bill found stuff he wanted too.  We saw Ron and Barb there and talked to them.  They invited us to come to Riverside for dinner tomorrow at 4.

I went to Bible Study.  There are 55 ladies in it.  It was very good and I have great friends at my table to discuss the questions with.  Joan does a great job leading it.  I was on my way to pick Sue up for it and she called and told me I should turn around and just go to class myself.  She went to the doctor today and got home a short while before and was tired and weak.  They told her she probably needs a pacemaker, so are sending her to her heart doctor.
I was sad she couldn’t go and is going through this.

I came home and talked to Melissa for a while, then talked to Vikki for a while.

Tuesday, 9/23/25, We slept in, Bill took the garbage out, I took my shower than went to Vikki’s, Melissa and Kimmy came there too, went to Rescue Mission Dinner in the evening

Vader has always been obsessed with pillows...he doesn’t care what kind or shape, he always has to cuddle it.  Melissa sent me this picture of him lying on Jack’s BB8 pillow.

Rehvyn is sure saying the names of everyone in our family clearly.  Kenzie sent me these videos.

It felt good to sleep in this morning.  We got up at 8:30 and Bill took the garbage out.  I unloaded the dishwasher and made coffees for both of us.  We read our Bibles and did our prayer books.   He went to pay the Water Bill and pick up some water from Shays.  I took my shower and got ready and went to Vikki’s.  Kimmy had an appointment today and so did Vikki.  Melissa and I met them at Vikki’s house afterwards.  Vikki made delicious pasta and spaghetti sauce and garlic toast for us.  She had special bottle juices for us too.  Everything was so good and we had fun hanging out together.  We love our time together and are so thankful God has blessed us with being a close family.  We all left around 2:15  Rody was just pulling in the driveway as I pulled out.  I came home and worked lots more on my Bible study.  Then I relaxed in my recliner while Bill napped.

We went to the Rescue Mission Gala in the evening and sat at Wes and Gayla’s table.  Don, Ron and Barb, and Wes and Gayla’s neighbor were there.  It is always so touching to hear what they are doing and the lives that are being touched.  The food was delicious and the speaker was so good.  He was from North Carolina and was the head of the Rescue Mission there.  They were right close to the river where the horrific floods happened.  Many people died in their area.  They kept the Rescue Mission open even though they did’t have power for weeks nor fresh running water.  God did miraculous things and many people came and fond love and the hope they needed.  They always get the best speakers for this.

We came home and  I did more on my Bible Study and then Bill and I relaxed.

Monday, 9/22/25, went to breakfast at Riverside, drove by all of our old houses, visited some more, Angie left, Bill and I took a nap, Bill mowed the grass, I did laundry, and emptied the refrigerator in the camper, Peyton’s Bible came, Bill went to an Elder’s meeting

Peyton’s Bible I ordered for her came...so did the markers, post it notes, pens, etc that she had me order for her.  She passed her Action Bible on to Travis, so I got her this Bible she really wants to replace it
Kenzie sent me this cute picture of Rehvyn in is car
My garden is still looking beautiful
Kit Kat is watching the fish in the pond

We got up, got ready and then took Angie to Riverside Restaurant for breakfast.  Our breakfasts were all so good.  Angie and I got the same thing.  An asparagus omelette and then we shared red skin potatoes American fries.  We also got homemade toast and homemade raspberry jam to go on it.

After we left there, we drove past all of our houses Bill and I have lived in.  She remembered all but one of them.  It was fun hanging out and talking about old times.
We came back and visited some more, than she had to leave. Bill and I took a nap after she left.  It sure felt good, even though I didn’t sleep.  Bill mowed the grass.  Vikki and Peyton came over because her Bible I ordered was supposed to come.  It finally came around 6.  Peyton was so cute going through all of her stuff she got with it.  She shared and gave me a couple of cross paper clips and wanted to give me post it notes and markers, but I had her keep them to use with her Bible since it has a place to write notes.  It is a beautiful Bible.  I am so happy that she wanted it.  They left, then Bill went to his Elder’s meeting.  I went out and emptied the refrigerator in the camper and brought the stuff in and put it away.  I worked on my Bible study lesson after that.  It sure has lots of homework.  I will be working on it again tomorrow.  It is a great study on Joy!

Bill got home and we stayed up til 12:30, then went to bed.
