Sunday, 11/9/25, First snowfall, went to church, taught Sunday School, went to second service, went to Vikki’s, finished putting the red up,

When we left for church!
When I looked out this morning after I woke up!

The birds outside were really eating lots.  Two birds on the window feeders!
When we got home a branch had fallen off our big Maple tree
It was just beautiful out with all the snow on the trees
Out our front door!
Ended up getting around 4 inches.  Youth group at church was cancelled because of slippery roads
Yay!  Our tree is all decorated!  It is beautiful in person!

Got up at 7 and looked out and was surprised to see the grass and deck were covered with snow.  Last night Melissa and I checked and they had moved the starting time to later in the day.  Guess they were wrong again.  I slept the whole night in bed, without having to move to the chair.  Yay!  IWe got ready for church, and left a few minutes early because Bill had to be at a table in the foyer to talk to veterans and have them sign up for a church veteran group.  He had a lot sign up.  I went back to my Sunday School Class and made sure everything I needed was there and went over my lesson again.  Then I went into put my stuff by Bill’s Bible,  I talked to Tina for a while.  Then I walked around and talked to others.  The worship started.  It was amazing worship so Bill and I went up to the altar to worship again.  We’ve been going up there for a couple of months now.  Others are going up to worship too.  After worship, I went back to teach.  Erica was my helper and did a great job.  We only had 8 kids today.  It was a great lesson about David being anointed as king and about God not looking at the outward appearance, but looking at the heart.  We played a game and the kids had fun coloring.  I went to pray, but by the time parents picked their children up, it was too late.  I talked to Nancy for a while, then went in to sit down.  I was talking to a couple of the guys that go to SVSU.  We have quite a few coming to church now.  Katelyn who was the lead singer during worship this morning came over and talked too.  She is an amazing singer and anointed worshipper.  I told her how amazing worship was this morning and thanked her.  She’s friends with the guys I was talking to and is going to college too.

I went into the service and didn’t see Bill’s Bible on a chair like usual.  He had been out in the foyer handing out $10 Chick til A gift cards to all of the veterans.  There were 22 veterans at church today.  Pastor honored them and had us honor them too by having them all stand up.  We love our veterans!

I was happy to get to listen to the message.  Bill told me I should take notes because it was such a great message on worship and offering ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God which is our reasonable service as it says in Romans 1:1.  It was the best message and it got everyone excited about worshiping God.  I can’t wait until next week.
I went up and prayed at the altar while Bill went out and stayed at the Veteran’s table to hand out gift cards for the second service.  Ally came up for prayer and then Ashton and his girlfriend came up after prayer to give me hugs and talk for a while.  Ashton will be 21 in December.  It is so nice having young people that like hanging out with us older people.
We went home and Bill got his tools, I made us peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and we headed to Vikki’s.  Bill helped her get 3 stripped screws out of the pool table she is giving away today.  The guys are coming at 2 to pick it up.  It’s in pieces and then they will put it together and have to recover it.  Bill got it done and on our way home Vikki texted and said they were picking it up.  We went to Sam’s Club and got a few things, then came home.
We took a nice nap,  After that, I worked more on the tree.  I stopped to make eggs, air fried potatoes and toast for dinner.  We ate and then I finished the tree.  It looks beautiful and takes up a lot less room because it is narrower and not so wide at the bottom.

I worked on my blog, talked to Vikki and also FaceTimed with her and talked to Melissa.

Saturday, 11/8/25, Went to Faith Rider’s meeting, Stopped at Vikki’s, stopped at Melissa’s, started working on Christmas tree, Bill got the string winder for the kite off the power line and the string down, went to play at Valley Lutheran with Melissa and Jack,

Lydia and her parents and baby brother were at our meeting today.  She was celebrating her birthday so she was very happy to wear the birthday hat.  We all sang to her.  She is so cute and sweet.
Got to see Hailey when I stopped to drop off Melissa stuff.  Talked to Evan & Jack for a minute, but Bruce had them get at the leaves outside, so no picture
The swelling was way down on Bo’s leg today.  He’s eating good and no fever.  I am thanking God!
Evan and Jack tonight when I stopped to pick up Melissa and Jack to go to the play at Valley.

I got ready and left for Faith Riders Chapter meeting and Bill got ready and left to take his Jeep in for a free oil change they are giving Veterans today.  Such a blessing!  I got to the breakfast before the meeting and sat by Bev and Jim and Gayla and Wes.  I saved a seat for Bill because he was going to make it to the meeting part.  There were lots of people there today, including one person from the Sandusky chapter, two from Trinity Riders, and one from the Tawas chapter.  Cheng was there today too, and has gotten married and will be living in Saginaw now.  He was here, then left and lived in Las Vegas for a few years.  It was so good to see him.  There were 25 there today.  Cheng went out and paid for everyone’s meals and then had to leave to get to an event.  The waitress told us later that he paid for all of our meals.  That was so sweet and kind.

I stopped at Vikki’s to drop her dishwasher soap container off.  She came out and got it which was so nice because I didn’t have to get out of the car.  I went to Melissa’s after that and went in for a few minutes and visited with the boys for a minute, then with Melissa, Bruce and Hailey.  I had to get home to get the tree decorated so didn’t stay long.  I gave Melissa her over the counter stuff.

Bill and I read our Bibles, then I started working on the tree.  I put beautiful Christmas music on while I decorated it.  Bill was out getting the kite winder and kite string down.  I didn’t know he was doing that until he called me and told me to let Ben know.  Yikes, I’m glad I didn’t know.  I got half the ornaments on the tree, then quit to make dinner.  After dinner, I picked Melissa and Jack up and we went to see the play “Fools” at Valley.  Melissa and I were laughing til we cried through the whole first half.  Everyone was laughing around us too!  It was so funny.  Just what we needed lol!  The second half was funny too, but got. little more serious.  It was a fun night out.  Thank you for giving me a free family pass Melissa.  It was just so much fun.

I came home and Bill and I split the other cinnamon roll.  We put nuts on this one too.  YUM!  So so delicious!  I worked on my blog after that.

Friday, 11/7/25, Got boxes of ornaments out of attic, went to Vikki’s, Bo’s leg is swollen now,, Kenzie and Rehvyn came to Vikki’s, Kimmy and I went to Walmart, went to Peyton’s Play,

Bo’s leg this morning.  Kimmy put antibiotic ointment on it and wrapped it good.  He is walking on it good.  Continuing to pray and appreciate prayers for him.
Rehvyn came in to Vikki’s house all excited about his new hat and mittens.  I love his excitement and joy about things
He was pretty happy about the baby with Isaac’s baby outfit on too
He always loves his remote car
Hailey had me stop after Peyton’s play and pick up these delicious cinnamon rolls she baked for us.  She wrote a sweet note on the container too.  What an amazing cook/baker she is.
We decided to split one because they were so big, so I added some nuts.  They were the best ever!
Me and Rehvyn at the play
Peyton in the play dancing..she is next to the two girls in black on the left
Peyton is 5th from the left bending over
Peyton did a great job.  I am proud of her!  She is sweet and talented.  All three granddaughters are and I got to see them all tonight.

I was getting ready and Vikki called to see if we could meet at her house this morning.  I said that was ok and then finished getting ready.  I was listening to Phil Wickham on google and then it changed to Wednesday Worship with Jason Engler who used to sing with Integrity music a long time ago.  He was singing old worship songs and playing the guitar, praying and worshipping.  It was so awesome, I kept listening.  When it was over, I got the Christmas tubs out of the walk in attic and put the ones with ornaments in them, in the upstairs hallway so bill could carry them down for me. I left for Vikki’s and stopped to get an Egg McMuffin on my way.  I called the girls to see if they wanted something, but they had already eaten.  We drank expresso coffee’s that Vikki made us and visited.  The coffees tasted really good, but it made me feel weird.  I’m not used to that strong of coffee.  It made Kimmy’s stomach feel weird.  We went down in the basement to see where Isaac is making his stuff for he remote cars to drive on.  Vikki is selling lots of stuff in the other section of the basement.  She and Kimmy took pictures of different collection pieces Rody’s mom had so Vikki could post them on Facebook Marketplace to sell.  Bill worked on hanging the new lights in his shed.  He did a great job and they look really nice.  He also brought the Christmas tree upstairs from the basement.

We girls went back upstairs, and sat again and Kenzie brought Rehvyn over.  We had so much fun with him.  What a fun and such a loving little boy.  We are so blessed!
Kenzie looked really cute with pigtails.  She had to go somewhere, so Rehvyn took a nap at Grammy’s so he would be rested so he would do good at the play tonight.  Kimmy and I went to pick up over the counter stuff at Walmart.  My card worked but Bill’s didn’t.  Kimmy and I had to have the guy working help us take stuff off, so we could get it later.

Melissa and Hailey invited us over for cinnamon rolls Hailey made, but Kimmy had to get home right away, and when I looked at the time, I had to get home and make dinner for Bill so I couldn’t go either.  I let Melissa know.

I made salmon and mashed potatoes, then Bill got home and we ate.  We couldn’t find the cord to the tree that goes to it, so I started looking for it.  I found it in the other tub upstairs marked tree stuff.  I had to leave for Peyton’s play then and when I got there, I got a good parking spot and Rody and Isaac were standing at the door where you go in.  I talked to them a few minutes, then went in and got my ticket for in the row with Vikki and family and Kimmy, Jared and Eli.  I stood in line with Kenzie and held Rehvyn.  He at a toy plastic shaped car (no wheels) and was going up and down the brick wall with it.  Then he drove it on my head.  I liked the wall way better, but he sure was cute.  It was fun talking with Kenzie.  She was sweet and brought roses for Peyton.  We all went in and got seated when the door to the auditorium opened.  I didn’t like the play at all, but Peyton did good in her part.  All the kids did amazing at acting.  It was sure fun watching Rehvyn though.  He was dancing and clapping.  They should really pick good plays for school because kids are going through enough these days without having plays that focus on death and darkness.

I gave Kenzie some money and told her and the boys to go get some snacks at concessions at intermission.  The boys didn’t want anything.  Kenzie only spent $2.  It reminded me of when she was little and went to school there.  When the play was over, we all hugged Peyton and told her what a great job she did.  She loved her flowers from Kenzie.  She took Rehvyn and went and showed everyone and then took him back to the dressing room.  He got lots of attention.  Kenzie brought him back out to us and we all said goodbye and got hugs.  Kimmy, Jared and Eli were parked right ahead of me, so we all walked together to our vehicles.  I was happy about that.

I stopped at Melissa’s and picked up the delicious cinnamon rolls Hailey had made for us.  I took a picture of her with her phone since I had forgotten mine, and I had her take one of Jack to send me.  Bruce and Melissa had just left to pick up Evan and Lydia from their school’s play.  They said it was really good and funny.

Bill and I enjoyed our delicious cinnamon roll we heated up so much.  We both thought it was the best one we have ever tasted.  Thank you so much Hailey.

I texted Ben and let him know Rody forgot he had a wedding to do Saturday at 3, so I was waiting to hear a time we can get the kite down.  He was so happy Rody is our son in law.  He said that was great and he loves that guy!  Said there was no rush, which I passed on to Rody.

I talked to Kenzie, then Melissa, then Vikki.  Then I worked on my blog and got it done.

Thursday, November 6, 2025

Thursday, 11/6/25, Went to Perry, went to lunch at Gregg and Lou’s, brought in swing seats for winter, brought hoses in, took pictures of Ben’s kite and sent them to him and Vikki so she could show Rody, met Maddy at Panera

I took this picture today.  It puts the position of the kite in perspective!  It sure is high up
There was still some beautiful spots with lots of color today.  Loved our drive!
After whipping in the wind so much, it still looks in pretty good shape.

Slept til 6:30 then went out to my recliner.  Rested til 7:30 then got up and took my shower, and got ready.  Kenzie and Rehvyn FaceTimed me.  He was so cute and was eating cereal, then he would drink the milk out of the straw attached to the cereal bowl.  We ended our FaceTime because we had to leave and I had lots to carry.  It was 9:45, when we left to go to Perry to get shed lights to replace 3 that are burned out.  It was a beautiful drive with lots of beautiful color still.  We picked up the lights at the guys house/business way out in the country.  We stopped at Lou and Gregg’s restaurant on the way home and Bill got breakfast and I got a slim Gregg who’s is even better than Big Boy’s.  When I got home the kite was still in the tree so I took some pictures.  I sent them to Ben.  He said he was trying to come up with a plan and it would be soon.  I told him he didn’t need to hurry and that we just wanted him to be safe.  After I texted him I called and talked to Melissa.  We prayed that Ben would come up with a plan and God would send someone to help him.  Vikki called me after I hung up with Melissa and said she had told Rody about the kite and out of the blue he called her and said he could come and put a hook on his drone and use it to get the kite down.  They didn’t know Melissa and I had prayed and God sure answered fast.  I love it when he does that.  I texted Ben and he was pretty thankful and pretty happy to have a plan in place.  Rody is going to come on Saturday because by the time he gets out of work it is dark out, plus tomorrow night he has Peyton’s play to go to.

I told Ben that we liked his business card and the Scripture on it and that we were Christians too.  He texted back about being happy we were Christians and how God has been so good to his family and was the one providing everything for them.  Then he asked where we go to church.  I told him New Life and he said he knows New Life very well.  He coached baseball with our assistant Pastor Dan this past spring and also has quite a few acquaintances and old friends that go there.  He goes to Immanuel Bible Church which is by my parent’s house which I lived at from age 15 til I got married.  I know a couple that go to his church and he knew them too.  It sure is a small world.

Then after talking to Vikki, I decided to look Ben up online to see if he was on Facebook.  It came up that we have 17 mutual friends plus Rody Monroe.  I could’t believe it!  He and Rody know each other.  Rody said he is really nice guy.  I didn’t tell Ben Rody’s name, I just said my son in law.  Anyway, God sure is awesome how he brings people together.  What a way to meet your neighbor!

Bill and I brought in the swing seats from the swings on the deck and put them up on the top of the shelf in the garage.  I brought my last bird house that is decorative in too, plus brought my two favorite hoses in.  So thankful Kimmy and Jared told us about them.  They are light weight and colorful and work so well.

I met Maddy at Panera’s at 6.  I got a cookie and she got a blueberry bagel.  We visited for 1 1/2 hours and had a great visit and so many laughs.  She got me a quick dry towel, 3 Scrub Daddy’s, and some Thin Mint Bites from the Girl Scouts.  She also made me such a sweet card.  I’m so thankful for her.  She told me I can come up the day after her baby is born.  I gave her a dishcloth I just made and took the spoon rest Kimmy made and had her take it to her mom.

I came home and as I pulled in the driveway, I saw eyes glowing in the dark.  When my headlights shined on it, it was a deer in our ditch coming up on to our front lawn.  Didn’t expect that!  When I got in comfy pjs, I read my Bible, then worked on my blog.  I ate my other half sandwich from today.  I talked a few times with Vikki too.

Nice soft Quick Dry Towel from Maddy

Bo jumped the fence and a neighbor called Jared and let him know he saw him in the front yard.  Jared couldn’t get a hold of Kimmy, but finally texted Adam and Adam told Kimmy he was trying to call her.  Bo knocked 3 fence posts down and cut his let bad.  Kimmy took care of him and bandaged his leg.  I sure am praying for my Bo that I love.  He is such a great horse.

Wednesday, November 5, 2025

Wed., 11/5/25, Scrubbed all the hard floors, washed rugs, cleaned most of the downstairs, Bill blew off the deck and power washed it, had a neighbor visitor who lost his kite, went to Melissa’s, did more knitting

A neighbor on a road close to ours had his kite blow off and it ended up eventually in our tree after blowing in the hard winds.

I slept really good until 4 in the morning, then I came out to the recliner so I could lay comfortably on my back.  It took a while, but then I got to sleep.  I went back into bed when I knew I could be comfortable on my side again.  I had a dream where we were having a big party had a huge older brick house, and I couldn’t even get to where I could see the friends I was looking for.  Then Bill came in and told me I had to tell everyone to leave because he sold the house and we had 12 hours to pack up everything.  We didn’t even have any boxes. I was sure glad to wake up from that dream.  I got up and got right at sweeping and moping all the hard floors downstairs.  It seemed like such an easy job after that dream lol.  I washed rugs too.  I cleaned the rooms, I mopped and also cleaned the living room and dining room.  Only have the family room and our room to do now.

Bill was outside power washing the deck by the gazebo after he blew the leaves off the whole deck.  There was some algae and we wanted it cleaned off before winter.  He got at that while I was cleaning.  I heard the doorbell ring, so went to the front door and looked out.  It was a young guy, who had a nice Christian shirt on.  I opened the door and talked to him through the glass storm door first.  He told me he lived across the next road and showed me his house.  He had been flying his kite and then the wind really picked up and blew way down by us.  By this time the wind was whipping so fast he couldn’t even try to get it.  He had tried when it was in our tree, but just as he went to grab the tails, the wind blew it away again.  I went outside and he was trying to show me where it was flying in the sky, but I couldn’t even see it.  That wind was so strong!  He gave me his card with his name and phone number on it and asked me my name.  He just wanted me to text him if his kite landed where I could see it.  I kept checking, but the wind continued to blow too hard.  I talked to Melissa and after talking to her decided I should look at his card.  He works for a company called Simply restored that does handyman services.  He had a scripture on his card that said, “Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God.” Romans 15:17.  We will probably giving him a try if we need some handyman work done.  I’m thinking it was no coincidence his kite blew into our yard.   I had to run to Melissa’s for a few minutes, so told Bill about him and had him watch for his kite while I was gone.  When I got home, Bill told me his kite had landed in the tree by our garage.

I warmed up mashed potatoes, round steak and gravy, and corn that was left over from last night.  We ate, then had a bowl of ice cream for dessert.  Then I worked on my blog and he caught up on his phone from being busy all day.  I called Vikki to see how her day went and how her arm was doing.  She had a hard day working at Weiss since she had to do a lot of bending because cupboards were very low for kids to reach.  She loved being there though.  I am going to knit more on dishcloths now.

Tuesday, November 4, 2025

Tues., 11/4/25, Went for blood test, Vikki came over, went to drop paper off at family dr., came home and ate bagel Vikki got me, we went to Kimmy’s, went to prayer

Eli making Mac and cheese
Basil is the cutest kitty
She loves it when Eli gives her treats and is so cute begging for them
She loves to have us scratch under her neck
I was blessed to have these two grandsons have the day off school when I visited with Vikki

I went at 7 and had my pre surgery blood tests and also my family doctor’s blood tests done.  I thought I was getting them all done at once.  Then the girl told me I couldn’t have one blood test because it needed approval by my insurance company.  She asked me to take this paper to my doctor so they could get it approved and sign it and then I could go back to have the blood test.  Vikki called and said she was on her way to my house.  I told her I had to run the paper to my doctor’s office, so she said she would pick up some food and then come.  I passes her on my way to the doctor’s office and we stopped and she told me she picked me up a bagel for me to have when I get back.  I took it into the doctor’s office and they hadn’t ever seen a form like that before.  Well come to find out, it was actually on the pre surgery blood tests that my orthopedic doctor called in.  My doctor’s office girl, Abby, was faxing it to them and I was supposed to call later.  I did ask if I had to keep fasting for that other blood test and they told me no.  Yay!  I went home, ate the yummy bagel Vikki got me and  then we went to Kimmy’s.  We talked to Kimmy on the phone on the way.  We got there and visited, drank our coffee and relaxed.  Jared told her I would be cold there, so he went out and got some pellets and started a fire in the pellet burner.  That was really sweet of him.  I was up at 5 praying for him because he has audits this week and it is a stressful week.  I am praying for it to go well, for favor and great peace from God.  It sure was nice and cozy in the house when we got there.  I really appreciate him and Kimmy being so thoughtful.  Kimmy agreed I would be cold.

Kimmy had stuff for subs on the cupboard so we made our subs.  They were delicious.  Vikki had done lots of snacking on apples and granola bars, so she said she wasn’t real hungry.  She enjoyed her sub though.  Eli really wanted Kimmy to get Melissa Gager’s kitten she was giving away.  Vikki messaged her to find out if it was still available.  She didn’t hear from her, so after waiting a long time, she messaged again and it was already taken.  Eli was disappointed.   He liked it because it looked a lot like Basil only a different color and was so cute.  He bought Basil in and gave her lots of attention, then gave her to Vikki to hold.  After her, I got a turn.  She’s such a sweet kitten.  We all love her.

Kimmy let me buy a spoon rest for Maddy’s mom for less than I wanted to pay for it.  It’s beautiful and I know she is going to love it.  She loves the one I gave Maddy and always comments on it.  Vikki and I left at 2:30.  She left right away when we got to my house so she could pick up the kids from school.  Bill was mowing the grass.  I washed the family room windows.  No more bird form on the window.  They look so good!

I peeled potatoes and made mashed potatoes to go with the round steak and gravy I made in the crock pot this morning.  We also had yummy corn that Bruce canned and gave to us.
After we ate, I read my Bible and then went to Prayer at church.  There were a lot there and prayer time was awesome.

Knitted on dish cloths.  Then will check out election results.

Monday, November 3, 2025

Monday, 11/3/25, went to Orthopedic dr., went to Maddy’s, then to Tim Hortons, then to my house. Cool, windy day. More knitting in the evening

Maddy and I at Tim Hortons this morning.  We thought we would sit by the fireplace.  Then we found out it wasn’t giving off any heat.  We were sitting under a row of really bright lights.

I got up at 6 and took my shower and got ready.  I put on some good Phil Wickham worship music on and then had time to read part of my Bible before leaving for my appt.  Bill drove me.  We went the expressway, then got caught in lots of traffic when we got off and three lanes of traffic went down to 2.  Bill zoomed in the empty lane that no one was in because the sign said to get over.  We went past a lot of cars and then a nice person let us in.  We would have probably been a little late if he hadn’t done that even though I didn’t like it.  I didn’t say anything though because I knew he was doing it for me.
He let me off at the entrance and he parked the Jeep.  I made it and had 10 minutes to spare.
I had checked in online so nothing to do but tell her my name.  My doctor is young and looks like Doogie Houser.  He was really nice and was thorough.  I am scheduled for surgery the day before Thanksgiving.  Glad we celebrate the Saturday before.  Pastor told me he was praying for me for my surgery yesterday at church, so I let him know when it was scheduled.  The he wanted to know where.  I am sure thankful for everyone’s prayers.

After we left, Bill took me and dropped me off at Maddy’s.  I went in and got hugs from both of the kiddos.  They are so sweet and cute.  I forgot to get a picture.  I told Alec hi, then Maddy and I left and she drove us to Tim Horton’s.  She had a bagel and cream cheese and I had a breakfast sandwich.  We both had Ice coffee’s.  Mine was an Ice Capp.  We had a fun time visiting and enjoying our food.  We went and walked around the Home Goods store after that.  We just looked and didn’t buy anything.  She bought me home then and came in for a little while.  I moved to the Lazy Boy Recliner to stretch out my leg and before she left for home, she came and got a blanket and put it over me so I could settle in for a nap.  She is very kindhearted.  She left an I ended up moving in by Bill and relaxing, but couldn’t sleep.  I read my Bible instead and my daily prayer and scripture books.  Then I started knitting again.  I’ve got a new color, so I’m anxious to see what it looks like when it’s finished.

I washed some dishes that needed washing, cleaned out the refrigerator for garbage day tomorrow, and moved a few things around in the house.   I decided we will need to put our tree up on Saturday.  Don’t have to move much for that.  I’m excited to put it up. Especially since there are no lights to mess with.  This is going to be a year where I don’t put many other decorations out.

I let the kids know about my surgery, and Hailey and Kenzie, our bother and sisters, and my Best friend, plus some friends from church.  I heard back from everyone right away, saying they were praying and many offering to help with what I need.  So blessed with amazing family.

Bill came home from his dentist and then foot doctor appointments.  He came hime with two really nice pairs of shoes from his foot doctor appt.

I worked on my blog and then did more knitting.
