11/13/15

Peyton and Isaac were sure having fun playing with Legos.  Rody was sure a good daddy getting down and building the things they wanted.  They had so much fun playing with the things he made afterward.

Loved watching Adam make his amazing turkey at Grandparent's day at his school.

Papa and Adam

Papa and Eli.  He's a kindergartener already!

Eli showing us how he plays learning games on his I'pad

Fun at McDonalds after Grandparent's day at Eli and Adam's school.  Jacob is in middle school now so he doesn't have grandparent's day anymore but we sure had fun at McDonalds with him.

Jacob, Eli, Nana, Adam, and Papa at McDonalds after Grandparent's day.  Loved the neat toys they got in their happy meals.  Kimmy and I had races seeing whose could spin the longest.  Jared and Kimmy had races when Jared came.

Went to Vikki's in the morning.  Loved how Rody played so nice with the kiddos.  Left there in time to come home and get ready to go with Bill to Grandparent's Day at Adam and Eli's school.  We had a nice time visiting both of them in their classrooms.  Adam made us a very nice card.  He also made a wonderful turkey while we were in his class.  Eli showed us lots on his I'pod.  Took us a long time because the line was so long, to sign them out to leave school early.  Finally some people came out with clipboards so then things moved more quickly.  We left and went to pick Jacob up at the school next door.  He was excited to tell us about the great conference his mom and dad had with his teachers.  We went to McDonalds afterwards.  Kimmy met us there.  The boys got chicken nugget happy meals.  They got a neat magnetic snoopy toy that spun around.  Kimmy and I had fun racing with them while the boys played.  Jared came and visited with us for a while which was nice.  We went to church for Trio-Hope Open Mic....So much great talent at our church.  We had so much fun and were happy they raised twice the amount they expected.  A very huge blessing to be at.  Found out that my sweet friend, Ruth Kish passed away tonight.  Bev called me when we got home to let me know.  She was 99 and one great and godly woman.  She is healed and with Jesus and I can just imagine how happy she is now.

11/12/15

Happy to see these two today!

Went to Catherine's to get my hair cut today  We had a nice visit while she cut it.  Sarah brought the baby down and sat with us for a while.  Baby Catherine smiles all the time.  She is so cute.
After I left there, I went to Vikki's because I thought Kimmy was going to be her for the day.  She ended up not coming.  I went in and visited for a while.  Peyton and Isaac were playing with their dollhouse.  They have great imaginations.  Came home and printed the Faith Rider's newsletters off for the meeting.   The meeting went well.  Bill did an amazing job leading it and Chaplain Bob had a great message.  Melissa stopped in to see Jackie (Craigie's mom)  They had a nice visit and everyone from our group that knew her were happy to see her.

Kimmy came to spend the day.  I wasn't here when she got here because I ran to Meijer's to get bread and lunchmeat and then met Melissa at 8:10 to pick up Jack to watch because his asthma was acting up.  He was so good and didn't have breathing or coughing problems while here.  He loved watching Beethoven and playing with the train set.  Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over a little bit later.  I made the kids lunch and then left to go to Applebee's with Bill, Charlie and Sue so the guys could get their free meal.  There were lots of people waiting but we got in and seated right away.  Great food and then I came home and visited with the girls again.  Melissa, Evan, Daniel were here now so got to spend time with them.  Melissa, Vikki and the kids left.  Kenzie and Cole stopped in.  I gave her the card and money from Bill and I.  I had written psalm 103:1-5 out and left blanks for Kenzie to fill out.  She got all but one right.  I used to say it to her on our rides to school all the time.  Kimmy and I worked on making a Tunic for her.  Kimmy sewed it and I found a rope for a belt.  At 6 we went to the Roman Banquet.  This is Kenzie's 4th.  This year the 4 yr. class were honored guests.  They were in skits.  Kenzie was in the cutest skit.  We had punch and bread first.  Then they brought crackers, cheese, carrots, celery, black olives, cheese and deviled eggs for us to have.  After that we ate turkey, dressing and tater tots.  We ere full when we were done.  They had Kenzie and another kid stand and sang Happy Birthday in Latin to them.  Then we watched skits.  We had lots of fun.

11/10/15

Bill at Bob's Evans about to eat his Farmer's Breakfast.  He ordered American Fries and got hash browns by mistake so she brought him more potatoes too. We didn't eat this morning and it was almost noon so he was pretty hungry.

The policeman I tell about below sat right behind Bill in the next booth

I knitted this dishcloth with the pattern Kimmy gave me
We got up early as we had to leave at 8 to go to the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor. We ran it to some traffic backups so didn't get there till quarter to 10 and his appointment was at 10.  We parked the car in the ramp (which was hard as there were no places.  I prayed and a car pulled out and we pulled in on the very top outside parking floor.  We went to push the button on the elevator and it said the button was out of order.  We decided we had better walk the steps.  Went down one floor and it took us to the Medical Center.  We asked where we needed to go and the lady said it was a long walk so she called a shuttle for us.  The lady drove us right to where we needed to be so we made it on time.  Bill didn't need to have a scan.  They asked some questions and decided it was either from his fall or  his infection when he had the carbuncle. They think it will go away but will watch it.  On our way back we decided to walk.  They were celebrating the Marine's birthday and they were giving yummy cake out.  We had a piece and also had coffee.  After that we left and were looking for a Bob Evan's restaurant on our way  home.  We stopped in Fenton and ate there.  Two police officers came in and stopped to thank Bill for serving his country.  Bill and I were going to pay for their lunch so Bill wrote a note on his phone for our waitress so the wouldn't hear.  She said ok and then walked away to let their waitress know.  She came back a little while later and told us that Bob Evan's always pays for police meals, at least their Bob Evans.  Then she said that our meal was taken care of so just to walk out when we were done eating.  That made our day!  We were thanking the Lord.  We got home and had time for a short nap.  After that I got busy getting things ready for care group and praying for those coming.  Also read my Bible.  It was an amazing care group.  Many great testimonies, great prayer (especially when Sam and Malachi both prayed for Bill), great fellowship and Bill did an amazing job teaching.  I love our care group.  Malachi said he was seeking God the past two days and God answered and showed him in care group.  Marie brought crackers and cheese, chocolate mint cookies and delicious blueberry muffins.  Jeff brought homemade venison jerky. It was really good.

11/9/15

Made applesauce tonight, then cut some up for pies and put in the freezer
Great granny smith apples Chuck and Sue picked up from friends of theirs for $15 a bushel.

Borrowed these pictures from the girls Blogs because they are so cute!  So happy I can do this

Hailey put this on Bruce's phone.  Sure wish I knew the story behind it.

Love this picture of Clarence and Kenzie

Picked Melissa up at 10 and we went to Penney's as we both at $10 off coupons when you spend $10 or more.  We both got a pair of jeans.  We went to Applebee's for lunch after that.  We both got potato soup and oriental chicken salads.(for my second salad I tried a new Mexican salad.  It was ok but from now on I'm sticking with the oriental or spinach salads)  We had such a fun time and nice visit.  After that we went to the Christian Book store to look around.  Bill had to go to Bay Shore to a board meeting.  He rode with Mark Karls.  I watched Christmas with the Kranks and knitted a dishcloth while he was gone.  I also did my Bible study lesson.
