Friday, 3/15/24, Kimmy came over, Melissa and Hailey came over, took Joel out to eat at the Cracker Barrel

Kimmy and I were FaceTiming Rehvyn.  He sure pays attention to us.
Rehvyn made this silly face this morning.  Kenzie
Our smiley boy!!! He’s the cutest!
We were happy Hailey came to visit and have lunch.  She’s always so much fun!
The dog treats Badger ate stunk, so Hailey had to cover her nose.  Poor girl!

Wes....their trike is their mode of travel while in Florida

I was naughty and had a piece of cake and a cup of coffee for breakfast this morning.  I will be walking again tomorrow and watching what I eat.  I need to loose a few pounds, and now is the time.  Bill left to take Charlie to drop off his car to have it detailed.  They went to coffee afterwards.  Kimmy came over.  I made her a cappuccino.  We visited while she drank it, then went in the family room and listened to a podcast that was very good.  Kimmy ate a PB& J sandwich and I ate sour kraut and hot dogs.  She didn’t like the smell, so I melted one of her wax melters.  After that we started working on making a pair of curtains for the camper from some material that was in the camper that matches the curtains by the bunk.  Kimmy did a great job sewing them.  I only cut the material in half while she held it.  She did everything else.  They are just going on a tension rod that will be in the hallway when we need more room for changing if someone is with us.  Privacy for both ends of the camper.  Hailey came over next.  She ate lunch!  (She had her mom check ahead of time to see if I had turkey and cheese) We sat at the table and visited while Kimmy worked on the curtains.  Melissa and Badger came shortly after that.  She had already eaten, so didn’t want anything.  I gave Badger some treats and put a bowl of water down for him.  He is warming up to me more now.  Kimmy sewed something for Hailey and Evan’s Squishmallow.
We sat and visited more, then Hailey and Melissa had to leave.  Bill told me the time and said we had to leave right away to go meet Joel too.  Kimmy left when she found that out.  Jared picked up the boys for her today.  Vikki couldn’t come because she had a bad headache.

One of the workers where Joel lives, dropped him off at the Cracker Barrel.  We went out and met him.  I had called yesterday and set it up.  I got a message on my phone from Gayla this afternoon to give Joel a hug for her.  They had called her to make sure it was ok with them to drop Joel off.  Joel was very happy to see us and said our names, then said the family that makes sense.  We sat down and got waited on right away.  I didn’t even have much time to shop because the food came so fast.  I had to put my mushrooms back until after we ate so had to get them and pay for them later.  Joel got Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and corn.  I got the grilled chicken tenderloins, with mashed potatoes, carrots and Mac and cheese.  Bill got chicken strips, mashed potatoes and corn.  We all liked our delicious food.

We went out and shopped and took pictures afterwards.  Bill took one of me giving Joel a hug from his mom so I could send it to Gayla.  We called Wes and Gayla and Joel got to talk to them on speaker phone with us.  They are the best friends to us.  Just like family!

The guy came to pick up Joel, so we told Joel good bye, gave him two small packs of M &M’s (his favorite) and left for home.  I called Vikki to see how she was doing.  She was feeling much better.  She and Peyton even went to the park with Misty and Breslin.  Breslin has Autism and Peyton was so good to her and played so nice with her.  Peyton has a heart of gold.

I did my Bible reading and other reading, then did my blog.

Thurs., 3/14/24, Went to get stuff for Hope Tote, went to get groceries, Kevin came to work on kitchen, Rody came over to help me after computer locked up, Put some stuff back in cupboard

The kitchen after Kevin and Dave finished working today.  Kevin will come back to sand the drywall he repaired and caulk the cupboards.  Then I can paint after that and it will be done!  Yay!

Kimmy sent me this picture of Jacob today.  He finally answered my text and said he is feeling great now.  That made me so happy.  I know he’s really busy.  I’m just thankful he feels good now.

We got up early because Kevin was coming to work.  I left at 9 to go shopping.  Drank a protein drink on my way.  I wanted to get done before it rained.  I went to Walmart first and picked up everything I needed to fill a Hope Tote for the Rescue Mission.  Then I went to Aldi and got stuff I needed, then went to Kroger to get gift cards, ice cream and Hershey chocolate.  Came home and the workers were busy working.  I put most of the stuff in the refrigerator and freezer in the garage.  Then I put the two big pizza’s in the freezer in the basement.

I talked to Kevin for a while in the garage.  His mom had an aneurism and possible stroke.  They are putting her on hospice and he and his sister are trying to get her moved near here so she’s not all the way down by Detroit.

When I got in the house he showed me what they had done and what they still need to do.  I was able to ask him if he knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior.  He told me he did and that He is who is helping him through everything.  He told me his helper, Dave, is a Christian too.  Dave came in right then and verified that joyfully.  That makes me happy.

They left so I made a cake and baked my first thing in the oven.  The cake was requested by Bill.  It turned out good.  However, when I went to look up a good frosting recipe, my computer had big red squares flashing, saying not to turn off the computer or I would lose everything, that I needed to call Apple Support and it gave the number.  Big mistake.  I was panicking and gave my Apple ID so they could get my computer unlocked.  I had Bill call Rody and he said to hang up and turn my computer off because it was a scam.  I was so nervous.  I called our bank right away and they are giving me new credit and ATM cards tomorrow.  She checked to make sure nothing had been tampered with.  She was so nice.  Rody got here and we changed my Apple ID right away.  He was so helpful and sweet.  So thankful he came over right away to help and rescue me.  He said it’s something new the scammers are doing.  I changed my log in to my computer too.  Rody said Apple Support would never have you call a number like that and give any info.  I am glad he is so knowledgeable.

I read my Bible and did my devotions.  Sure thankful for the peace God’s Word brings.

Talked to Vikki for a while.  Sue got hacked, so Bill and I tried to help them see how to change their password over the phone.  Charlie was confused, so wanted to wait til Bill shows him tomorrow in person.  How crazy that there are so many dishonest people doing all this hacking and spamming to people.

We watched a good Faith movie called Forever Your Friend.

Wed., 3/13/24, Bill went to coffee with Charlie, Kevin was supposed to come work at 9, but had to take his mom to ER, Sat outside for an hour, went to dermatologist appt., worked outside cutting down dead stuff and raking, sat on porch with Kit Kat, Bill and I walked 2 miles

Two more blossoms came on the Crown of Thorns.  There’s more blossoms coming on the one closest to the window.

Kit Kat snuggled next to me on the swing on the front porch.  She has calmed down a lot and doesn’t try to bite

We got up early because Kevin was supposed to be here at 9.  I took a nice relaxing bath. Bill went to have coffee with Charlie.  He called and told me Kevin wasn’t coming to work because he had to take his mom to the ER.  He said he might be able to come later.  I just drank a protein drink for breakfast.  I played some worship music, then read my Bible and did my devotion.  Then I went outside and walked around.  Looked over everything growing.  Cut some old growth on plants down in the front and on the side of the house.  Then I sat on the deck in the sun for an hour.  Kit Kat sat in the chair next to me.   It was 66 degrees out with sunshine and no wind.  I set my timer so I could really relax.  I came in and  got ready for my appointment.  I ate some sauerkraut and hotdogs on a baked potato before I left.  Bill came home and had a muffin for me that Charlie got me.  Yum!

My appt. for my yearly skin check went good.  He checked some flare ups of my eczema too.  He offered to order a prescription lotion, but I told him what I was using over the counter was working good.  I got to share with him the miracles God did for Melissa.  I also told him I’ve had prayer for healing.  The guys came and got the little styrofoam piece out of the oven window that was between the glass.

I came home and filled a big garbage can with dead plant remains from last year.  Cut lots of stuff down and picked up lots of leaves covering plants too.  I was tuckered afterwards, so sat on the front porch and drank an Olipop probiotic drink.  I just finished and Bill opened the door and wanted to know if I wanted to walk down to the corner.  I told him no because I was tired, but then changed my mind and decided I should walk with him.  We walked at a nice pace.  Felt good to be getting exercise again.  I was going to start the treadmill tomorrow again, but walking outside was a good start.  We got 2 miles in.  Bill kept going to the corner the other direction from our driveway.   He wanted to get his 10,000 steps.  I already had 10,000 when he had 8,600.  I just came in the house.  It was rest time for me.  When we were almost home, Vikki called and told me, she told Peyton how expensive it was going to be for her and Kenzie to go see Lauren Daegle.  Peyton said wow, I’d better read my Bible.  Good thing I’m a fast reader.  We all got a good laugh out of that.  We give the grandkids who read the Bible, $100.  It is so important for them to know what God their Creator, Heavenly Father, Savior, Redeemer, Healer, Holy Spirt, Comforter, Teacher and so much more has to say and the instructions He gives for us to follow and obey.  It is so worth it when one of our grandkids accomplishes this, to give them the $100.  Peyton has listened to the Bible with Vikki and Isaac since she was little.  She doesn’t realize how long it takes to read though.  The concert is next month.

It will be a relaxing evening for me now.  Bill wanted me to try the new oven and make him a cake, but I only have 1 egg.  Bummer.  I will bake something for him tomorrow.  Kevin said they had to put his mom in a home.  He is coming at 9 in th morning to finish the job here.  Can’t wait until he is done.

Tues., 3/12/24, Nice 67 degree day with lots of sunshine, but windy again. Worked outside, put stuff in cupboard, went to Eli’s concert, then McDonalds after

Kit Kat was laying on her back and I thought she looked like she was dead
I went to the other window and I saw her move.  I sure was happy to see that!
My pots and pans fit nicely in the stove drawer.  My other stove didn’t have a drawer, so this is super nice to have again.
Hyacynths will probably be in bloom by Easter.  This is just one cluster of them!
Isaac after school, when I met Vikki at McDonalds after her dentist appointment
Peyton when I took her to meet her mom
Eli in his Jazz Band concert.  He is the 4th head from the right, just peaking through.
The Jazz Band standing at the end of the concert.
We got pictures with Eli after the concert.  The second on is with Eli holding the pen knife that papa just gave him.  Eli loved it of course.

Eli and Jared after the concert at McDonalds.  Me, Papa, Eli and Jared in picture below.
Lots of room in the smaller cupboard for my baking pans, pizza pans, cake pans, cookie racks, and big collapsible strainer Vikki got me.

Gayla sent me these pictures of Becky and Dave visiting her and Wes in Florida.

We got up and made the bed together as always.  Bill took the garbage out this morning.  I helped by getting the upstairs trash for him.  I made oatmeal and had coffee with it.  He just drank his protein drink.  We both read our Bibles and did our devotions.  I was reading about all of the miracles God did through Elisha and didn’t want to quit reading.  God is so awesome.  Bill left to go pick up the shelves for the new cupboards.  He put the top ones in for me and I did the bottom one since it’s hard for him to get down because of his knee surgeries.  He does it when he has to, but it isn’t easy.  I put stuff in the bottom one that has the door on.  He still has to work on the top cupboard, so I waited on that one.

Bill worked out in the shed for a while.  I went and picked up Peyton and Isaac from school because Vikki had a dentist appt.  I thought I would pick up shamrock shakes for them before I picked them up because I figured it would be busier once kids were out of school.  I got in line on the inside and the outer drive through line was moving quickly.  The line I was in didn’t move for 10 minutes.  I finally had a little space to get through the other line and a lady let me go before she pulled up.  I was so glad to get out of there and get the kids on time.  I was getting a little nervous.  Peyton came out right away.  We waited for Isaac for a long time.  Finally Kenzie called me to see if Isaac had got to my car.  He just came right then.  He had been waiting at the old place we picked them up at.  I was so glad to see him.  Peyton had a good laugh because a boy walked by the car and the window was down an I said hey Isaac.  I thought it was Isaac, but it wasn’t.  We all went and met Vikki at McDonalds.  She had called and said she would pick up the kids Shamrock Shakes with Oreo’s for me.  Then she surprised me and got me one too.  So sweet of her.  I sent her Apple Pay to pay for the kids.  We said our goodbyes after I took a picture of course.

I got home and relaxed for about 20 minutes.  Then I got a text from Eli saying he had a jazz concert tonight at 6:30.  I made dinner really quick, then we ate and headed to his school.  We got there and the parking lot was almost full.  We saw Sara and Justin from church and their kids.  Ryan was playing in the 5th grade band.  We talked to them for a while.  We found seats and saved seats next to us for Kimmy and Jared.  The kids in every band did great.  We loved hearing the Jazz Band.  They did amazing.  After the concert, Sara came over and talked to us while we were still in our seats.  Bill introduced her to Kimmy and Jared.  We waited til the crowd cleared out, then went and found Eli and took pictures.

Afterward, we called Kimmy and told them we were at McDonalds and made sure they were coming.  Bill’s sister, Carol, gave Bill a McDonalds gift card and told him to use it for grandkids and kids.  We did that and had a fun time.  Kimmy ordered on the machine and did separate orders so we could use lots of coupons.  We all used our app for our individual orders.  She sure saved us time and money.

We headed home, and I talked to Melissa while we drove.  She had called me at McDonalds and told me to call her back when I got home.  I thought I would use riding time to talk since I knew I still had to do my blog when I got home.  It sure was good to talk to her.  Vikki called me after that and it was good to talk to her too.

Monday, 3/11/24, Nice sunny day with a high of 58 degrees, Cleaned out stuff in my closet, went to ABC Warehouse, went to the Dollar Store, went to Alta, cooked on stove for the first time,

Two visitors today. Gobble One and Gobble Two
A surprise Crocus out by the shed deck I found today.  I didn’t plant it.  So beautiful though!
Big Friend on the tree trunk
I put suet out and Woody found it right away.

Bill left to meet Charlie.  I decided to sleep in and slept until 9:30.  I got up and decided to clean and rearrange my side of the closet.  Then went to cleaning my night stand by my side of the bed.  Got rid of some things I didn’t use anymore.  I made a coffee and had breakfast.
I ate light which was good, because Bill brought me a yummy blueberry muffin home.  I did two big loads of laundry.  I read my Bible and also did my devotion for Easter.  Bill got home and read too.  He went out and swept out the shed, and then ran the motorhome for a little while.  I went to ABC Warehouse and let the guy who helped us with the stove and microwave know the stove has a tiny piece of styrofoam in between the glass of the oven window.  They are sending someone out to either replace the door or fix it.

It was super windy today, so the stove box out on the front porch kept blowing and made our ring doorbell go off lots.  Bill was trying to disable it because it was so annoying.  I ended up going out and moving the box to the end of the porch and that took care of the problem.

I looked online and read the manual to my microwave.  Learned some things.  This one is more complicated than my other one, but now I have it down.  I made scrambled eggs with potatoes for dinner, and cooked on my new stove for the first time.  It worked great.  I used the warm burner to keep it warm while I buttered the toast.

Sunday, March 10, 2024

Sunday, 3/10/24, went to prayer, than church service, out to lunch with Jeff, Debbie and Lisa, over to Vikki’s to take the microwave and have chili

New Deacons prayed over by our elders.  Bill 4th from the right
New deacons, other deacons in front with them, elders behind them. They all have great hearts for the Lord and doing God’s will.  We are blessed at New Life
Bruce and Melissa used our trailer today to go pick up this beautiful table and chair set they found on Facebook Marketplace.  It’s so nice and has two leaves.  Just what Melissa has been looking for for a very long time.

I got to see these two sweet grandkiddos tonight.

I was surprised to see all of the show when I woke up this morning.  Yikes!  Then we lost an hour of sleep because of the time change.  Never like springing ahead.  I read my Bible before church.  We went to prayer, then went to our church service afterward.  It was Celebration Sunday, with 2 baby dedications, 6 baptisms and lots of people becoming new members.  The worship was awesome and Pastor Ken did an amazing job presenting scripture, doing the dedications, reading the testimonies of those getting baptized, and explaining why membership is so important.  We had yummy cookies afterwards to celebrate.  We went to lunch with Jeff and Debbie Davis and Lisa L. afterwards to Coty’s.  Kim and Brad were there having lunch on a date.  We ran into them there in the same booth last time we were there.  When we got home, we both took naps.  Then we read our Bibles more.

We warmed up our left overs from lunch and ate.  Then I talked with Melissa. I talked with Kimmy a couple of times.  She called so I hung up with Melissa, then called Melissa back twice.  Melissa said they had the highway by our road blocked off with big trucks.  We tried to find out what happened, and Bill finally found where there was an accident.  A 62 year old lady crossed the center line and hit a truck.  She died.  So very sad.  We prayed for her family.  Also praying for the guy she hit.  How awful.  It was pretty slippery this morning.Kimmy is working on fixing my blog so my pictures enlarge when you click on them.  I talked to Vikki too, and Bill said we could take the microwave to her now.  She said she had just made chili and we could have some when we got there.  We got ready and went.  The chili was delicious and so was the bread the Kenzie made and gave to Vikki.  We sat and visited for a long time, then left for home.

Revhyn was so good at his Grammy’s but he sure was very happy being back home with his mommy.  Such a big smile.
