This cactus is continuing to blossom and has many more buds. It started before Thanksgiving and is still continuing to blossom. Guess it is a Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter Cactus lol |

Maddy said it’s amazing that Mason’s face looks amazing today with bruises lighter than yesterday and almost gone. She burned arm pretty bad today. We went to prayer at 9:30, then afterwards went into the service. Prayer was awesome, worship was awesome and the message was so good. Vikki was helping with Thomas in Sunday School. There were 90 kids, babies through 5th grade. Good thing we are going to start having 2 services. After service, Bill and I prayed for Logan and Paige. Logan was in my k-1 class and now will be getting married to Paige. Love seeing kids grow up into young adults who are serving the Lord. After that, our Intercessors group prayed for Luke, a college kid who is getting married at the end of April and moving away. It was an awesome time of prayer too. We came home and ate. Then relaxed and both took a nap in our recliners. It was a rainy day out. In the evening we watched the Michigan State Game. We were sorry they lost, but the other team sure did platy well. The weather reports kept interrupting the game because there were severe storms in Michigan with potential tornados and the winds were 70 mph. I called Kenzie when I heard it was headed her way, then Melissa called me to let me know about the bad weather. Bruce’s dad had called her and said the winds by him blew the roof of a school off and overturned a mobile home. I called Vikki and I tried calling Kimmy, then Jared but no answer so finally texted Adam. I finally did get through to Kimmy. She was going to let Jacob know. We got high winds right at the time they had said. It poured, but we didn’t get any hail and no tornado’s for any of us. Thanking God for answering our prayers. I had tried to call Marie at the hospital a few times, but didn’t get any answer, I also tried calling Roy at their house, but he wasn’t home. I didn’t want him getting caught driving in the storm. Bill and I watched a good movie, called Cinderella. I talked to Melissa after the movie again. Bruce’s dad had shoulder surgery so we are paying for quick and complete healing. |

Poor Mason fell out of a chair high chair and hit his head on the table. Maddy sent me pictures. They were at her sister's cottage. She took him to Sparrow and got him checked out. They just need to keep an eye on him because everything checked out good. Praying for him to heal quickly. Maddy is young, but is just the best mom. I walked a mile on the walking pad. I wanted to get my walk in before the boys got up. They stayed up really late, so they slept in for a really long time. Bill read his Bible, then I joined him and read mine. After that Bill and I went to Kroger and got gas, then he went to the post office and I stopped at Tim Horton’s. I picked up a dozen doughnuts. I took 4 to Melissa, Max, Bruce and Hailey, then headed home with the rest. When I got home, the boys were still sleeping. I made coffee to drink with my donut. The boys got up and saw the donuts right away and started thanking me. They were so cute and so sweet. I was happy I thought to pick those donuts up. Jack and Evan had coffee too. They all ate cereal after that. I offered to make eggs, but I had bought cereal they liked so that was their choice. Bill worked on his Jeep in the garage. He always has something to put on it or make it look nice. Good to see him have a fun interest. I watched a couple of worship videos on the tv. The boys had fun hanging out together. I was kind of missing when they were little and just played with toys right by us. They do grow up though. I am thankful they are such great kids and they all love Jesus so much. Melissa came and visited, then she took all three boys to her house. Eli wanted to spend the night here with them again, but Bill and I weren’t going to be home, so Melissa said Eli could come to her house and spend the night. I was happy that worked out. Bill and I met Al, Lucy and their grandson Colton. He is 7 and was so much fun and so cute. We had a good meal and a great visit with Al and Lucy who are our Goodie Reps for Michigan. They do a great job. Bill ordered some things for our chapters from them and they met us to give them to us. When we came home, we saw two places along the road that at at least 5 dead deer right close together. In the one place, the car ahead of us had to stop because a deer ran out right where there were a bunch dead along the road. Yikes, I was glad to get out of those areas. We had tried to call Bill’s brother Fred, but didn’t get an answer. We were going to stop in to visit them. He called back a half hour later, and said he was walking into a restaurant and couldn’t hear good, so waited to call back. His son Joey was with them and is moving back to Michigan. We are happy about that. Marie called me, so when I saw it was her and she left a message, I called her back. I don’t have any hospital numbers in my phone, so I wasn’t sure who it was. She was concerned about getting her house cleaned. I talked to a friend at church and found out who she needed to call, but she wanted it cleaned before she comes home. I told her I would be happy to go clean it if Roy let me in. It was a big relief for her. She told me she loved me when she hung up. I’m so thankful for such sweet friends. Bill relaxed when we got home and I worked on my blog. |

Vikki, Peyton and Isaac got here first. It wasn’t long and Kimmy came too. Bill asked me if we should have Peyton go, but I told him I didn’t want Debbie having to buy his breakfast too. I knew she would insist. We got to Denny’s and greeted Debbie, then sat down. She was a a big corner booth. She asked me if Kimmy and Vikki and the kids were coming. I told her no, but they were at our house. Well, then I found out she had invited them and they were on their way. We all missed Melissa, but at least I spent yesterday with her. Debbie bought all of our delicious breakfasts. She always does sweet and special things for my birthday. We had fun visiting and we sure enjoyed our breakfasts. Thank you Debbie!
Isaac rode home with Bill, and I rode with Kimmy, Vikki, and Peyton. We went to what was listed as an estate sale, but today it had turned into a garage sale and it had hardly anything. Didn’t find a thing there. We came home and visited and then watched some Little House Episodes. I had set the bread makers last night and both loaves were baked right on schedule. I cut the bread with my Rada Bread knife and it was so hot I could hardly touch the top of it. The knife is so amazing and it cut it perfectly without even squishing it at all. We had chicken salad sandwiches and they were so yummy. Ginny and Daniel came to buy some of Bill’s tools he was selling. They came in and we talked for a minute, then they went out the other door and out to the shed. It started pouring out and hailing as soon as they started walking. Bill came in soaked. The girls and I hung out longer and Vikki did the hot and cold game with me so I could find the last duck she hid. It was in the press and seal box on the shelf in the utility room. Good thing she helped me with that one. After everyone left, Bill and I met Chris and Tina at Cream and Sugar. It is a new ice cream place in town and they make the best bubble cones and their ice cream is amazing. Yum! We had fun sitting and visiting while we enjoyed our yummy homemade ice cream. Kimmy called me and Eli, Evan and Jack wanted to spend the night. I let her know when we were heading home. Jared dropped Eli off and then shortly after Melissa dropped Jack and Evan off. Eli brought a couple of pizzas with him. The boys put their stuff upstairs, then came down and watched the end of the Michigan State game and the beginning of the Michigan game. MSU won and the Michigan game is still going. They had better pick up their pace and make some baskets.
Reading our Bibles now because we had a busy day and forgot. Whoops.

Bill relaxing in the swivel Lazyboy. |
I slept in this morning and it sure felt good. Put a load of laundry in when I got up, then ate cereal for breakfast and drank my coffee. We read our Bibles. Bill worked on the bumper of his Jeep. I put worship music on from my playlist and then walked 1 1/2 miles on the walking pad. I moved the speed up to 3.4 mph. That’s a pretty fast pace for me.
I moved stuff, and vacuumed the tile floors downstairs. Then I started scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees. By the time I got finished with the kitchen and bathroom, I decided I would do the rest of the floors with a mop. I was sore because of all the walking and muscle pain from it. I vacuumed the living room after that.
I decided to check on Bill out in the shed and took him a bottle water. He was just getting ready to put the part on the bumper that holds the wench. I helped put the big hook through to the other side. I walked around my garden and looked at plants coming up. I have to dig up some grass patches, but it was way too wet today.
I went to Melissa’s at 4. I went in and talked to the kids for a little while, then when Melissa was ready we left to go visit Marie in the rehab. We walked into her room and neither she nor Roy were in there. We walked out in the hall to see if we could see her going down it. A girl came up to Melissa and started talking about when she had her for therapy. The bright socks Melissa used to wear helped her to remember. She was very sweet. After that, I asked and they told me she was down to the next floor and was visiting a friend. I knew it was Cosmene’s room because Roy had told me she was in and gave me her room number the night before. We walked in and they were surprised to see us. We all had a great visit, sharing lots of good memories and catching up on our families. When they started bringing food trays around, Roy said we needed to get back upstairs so Marie could eat. As we were leaving Cos’s husband John came. We said a quick hi and gave hugs, then went back upstairs to Marie’s room. I helped Marie with open some seasoning and some pepper up, then Melissa and I left. I dropped her off, then I went to Aldi and got some muffins and some strawberries, blueberries, avocados and KiWI. I’m trying to eat more healthy foods.
When I got home, I ate a cabbage bun and finished the little bit of noodle casserole that was left. At 7, we had a zoom meeting with the state leadership for CMA. It went well and only two couples couldn’t make it on. One had surgery today and the other was in a different country. The meeting went well. Bill always does a great job leading it.
I made bread dough and put it in both bread makers. I set the timer so it will be done a little before noon tomorrow. I also made chicken salad up. Sam’s club is my favorite place to get canned chicken. After I got everything all set for tomorrow when the girls come, I sat down and started working on my blog.

Beautiful sunny day in the high 30’s with no wind. My plants are continuing to blossom and are so fun to watch. Ate oatmeal with raisins and banana for breakfast. Enjoyed coffee in my Kimmy mug. Afterwards I read my Bible. Bill did too, but he had a head start, so he finished before me. Vikki called Bill and was going to pick her swivel up for her Lazy Boy Chair. She asked him if he wanted her to pick up his too. She doesn’t work this week so it worked out good for us. She came over and helped Bill put it on our chair. They are a good team! I assisted occasionally by holding the flashlight and of course by praying. We all took a turn sitting it it afterwards. It’s so nice! Thank you Bill and Vikki! They decided since Bill had the tools out, they would go and put Vikki’s swivel on her chair. I didn’t go, because I had to get ready to go to Cathy’s. I got to Cathy’s right at 2pm. It was nice getting to visit with her. We had fun working together to sort her mail, bills, etc. and file the piles we had. Much more fun than doing it alone. Her kitty came in the office with loud meows. It is deaf, so that is why we figure it meows so loud. It’s a really cute cat and very friendly. Cathy and I had time afterwards, to sit and visit for a while. Her new medicine is working and is helping her. I was so happy to hear that. Melissa called and said Hailey was on her way home and wanted to go to Biggby with us, so we happily waited for her to get home. Bill was at DJ’s to have the bumper put on his Jeep. DJ did a nice job painting it and putting it on. It looks really good. He called me when it was done and I let him know I was just leaving Cathy’s, was heading to meet Melissa. I left around 5 and went to Jack’s on my way back and picked up birdseed, peanuts and suet. One of the workers loaded the 50 lb. bag of birdseed in my car for me. I only had 36 miles left on my tank of gas, so I went to Kroger to put a couple of gallons in. Melissa called me and told me Hailey was almost home. We decided to meet at Biggby and we all got there at about the same time. Melissa, Hailey, Jack, Evan and I all got our 16oz. Caramel Marvel Latte for 95 cents. Usually they are $7 so that was an amazing deal. It is because it’s Biggby’s birthday. We enjoyed drinking them and visiting. We stayed there for quite a while. It was 7:45pm when I got home. I warmed up some chicken noodle casserole, then went in the living room and started working on the blog. |

Nice outdoor area for patients to go sit in when the weather is nice. Marie has a nice view of it from her room. There is another one in the front too. Bill got up early so he could take the garbage and recycling out to the road. Then he got ready for his 8 o’clock dentist appointment and headed there. Just needed a cleaning today. I got up at 8 and had oatmeal and my coffee. Started reading my Bible hoping it would warm up some outside before I had to fill all the bird feeders. Bill came home and started reading his Bible too. When I was done reading, the temperature had gone up to 36 degrees is all. It was cloudy out and very windy again. I filled all the feeders and now will need to pick up more suet, wild bird food, and peanuts tomorrow when I go by Jack’s on my way to Cathy’s. I put chicken breasts in the crockpot. Bill and I were going to go to Aldi’s but he decided he needed to work on his notes for our Zoom meeting Thursday night. I got what was needed at Aldi and then went shopping for things for our Hope Tote bags. It was fun picking stuff out for people at the Rescue Mission. When I got home and Bill helped me carry stuff in. After that it was time to cook the noodles. Melissa called and asked me to go to Biggby with her and Jack tomorrow. They are having a special on one of her and Hailey’s favorite coffee ice drinks. I’m excited to go with them after I’m finished helping Cathy. I cut up the chicken in the crockpot, and when the noodles were done, I mixed them and cream of chicken soup in and a little milk. Then I added cooked frozen peas. Then it was time to pack food up and make deliveries, first to Sue, then to Roy who was visiting Marie at the Rehab. We all visited for a half hour, then Roy left to go home and eat. I stayed and visited for another hour. Marie was able to have her hair washed and someone there put rollers in it for her. Roy told me on the phone, then again when I got there that Marie’s hair was fixed and had curls and she was able to put lipstick on. He’s is so cute. He reminds me so much of my sweet dad. Sue gave me a sweet birthday card with $20 in it and made sure to designate it was not money to pay for rolls, so I was to keep it. Kimmy and I had already returned $20 she gave us for rolls. She’s so cute and funny. I came home and the kernel burner was out and the house was 63 degrees. Bill forgot to put pellets in it. By the time he realized it need them, the fire was out. I saw a check feed message on it and that means out of pellets. He didn’t start it up again, so I scraped the burn pot and pushed the ignite selection. I sure was hoping it would start back up since everything was cool inside it. I prayed and about 10 minutes later it started up. Yay! I was so thankful. I ate some of the casserole, then drank my coffee and had a brownie. Relaxed after that and talked to Melissa for a while. Vikki let me know today that Peyton is feeling better. Adam texted with me. |

My friend Vikki, sent me a picture of where she put the heart chime I got her in remembrance of her dad. There wasn’t a funeral, so she was happy to get the remembrance things I got for her. Her dad was always so nice when I went to their house with Vikki. It was a really windy and cold day today. 36 degrees was the hight, but it sure didn’t feel like it with the wind. We read our Bibles in the morning. At 11, I picked Sue up and we went to Kathleen’s Restaurant. We both had $50 gift cards. Bill and I had given her and Charlie one, and they had given us one for Christmas one year. It’s been at least 2 years, so we decided we would use them. We were the only two eating in the restaurant until, 4 more people came in. We had the nicest waitress. Sue got Chicken Parmesan, and I got a chicken stir fry. We both liked what we got. We can go one more time with our gift cards, so next time I will get what she had and she’s going to get what I had. We had such a nice visit and our lunch was delicious. I took her the five hearts I picked up from my friend Barb. They have a prayer on the back and a little cross inside the heart to feel. I had sent her one, and she wanted to give some friends of hers some. When I got home, I made brownies. I fixed dinner for Bill before he left for the Elder’s meeting. He was happy to have brownies for dessert. After he left, I walked 1 1/2 miles on the treadmill. I decided to walk that far this week, and next week go to 2 miles. Melissa came over while Jack was at his Fencing class. She had brownies and coffee while we visited. She showed me the videos of Evan from yesterday’s musical. They all sounded even better, and Evan was amazing. I am very proud of him. Wow! So happy to see Kimmy and Jared selling so many of their amazing pottery creations on Etsy. They get such great comments from their customers. I love everything they have ever made for me! It is always a joy to use each beautiful piece of artwork. Great job Kimmy and Jared! I am so proud of you! |

This cactus has the most blossoms on it since I got it. It has been blossoming since Thanksgiving, but not like now. Blossoms coming all over it. We went to prayer before church, then went into the church service when it started. Worship was awesome and Pastors message was too. We prayed for people after the service, then visited some with people and then came home. Bill ate pecan pancakes and I warmed up my chicken parmesan from yesterday. After we ate, we went up to the Rehab to visit Marie. Roy was there too. It is a new building and it had a long comfy couch for us to sit on. We had a nice long visit. Marie was doing lots better. She starts therapy tomorrow. We came home and both took a nap on our recliners. Later on, we watched a good movie. I don’t remember the name of it. It was a G rated movie. Just our type. |

Lunch with Faith Riders at DaVinci’s in Frankenmth...Me, Bill, Luis, Don, Dennis, Elaine, Gayla and Wes. They sure gave large portions. I will get 4 meals out of mine It’s back to cold windy weather again. Turned the kernel burner up. Bill went to the Marine Corp. League breakfast in Freeland. I knew I couldn’t eat there and then eat again in Frankenmuth, so I stayed home. I got my mile done on the treadmill. I’m going to increase to 2 miles next week. Sue called me and we set up the time to meet for our dinner at Kathleen’s Restaurant. If I keep going out for my birthday with friends, I will have to up my walking to 4 miles lol. I read my Bible and was almost finished when Bill got home. He sat down and started reading his Bible too. We both relaxed for a little while, then got ready and left for Frankenmuth to meet Faith Rider friends for lunch at DaVinci’s. There were only 8 of us who made it. Others had signed up, but didn’t get a reminder, so forgot about it. Wes called everyone to find out if they were still coming. It was a fun get together. Elaine’s husband, Dennis, came so it was nice to see him. He doesn’t ride a motorcycle, so we usually just see him at the Christmas party. After we left there, we went to visit Sister C. We picked up a Tim Horton’s coffee for her. We had a really good visit with her. We headed home after that. Worked on the blog, then we had ice cream with bananas, cashews and hot fudge. I had my favorite Hudsonville Traverse City Cherry. Yum! We got a text announcement that our niece, Amanda, and her husband are expecting a baby near the end of September. Their daughter Emma will be getting a baby sister. We are very excited for them. We were happy with Michigan’s win. |

Me and my best friend Vikki at Zehnders....my Vikki was named after her |
Kimmy and Vikki came over around 8:45. Vikki made the coffee and she and Kimmy ate oatmeal for breakfast. I didn’t eat anything because I want to be really hungry for lunch today. We had fun hanging out together. They left to go pick up Peyton and Isaac from school. Their teacher asked Isaac to play the piano for the residents at Edgewood again and Peyton went along to help the residents do a craft. The resident who donated the piano only comes out of his room when Isaac comes to play the piano. After they picked up Peyton and Isaac, they went to pickup Eli because he only had a half day too.
Bill took my car to run it through the car wash. He went kind of late, because I had to meet my friend, Vikki, when she was getting close to Frankenmuth. She texted me, so I called Bill and I drove the Jeep and met him. to trade him for my car. I love my Prius and love the great gas mileage it gets. It still feels like a new car to me and it’s 10 years old. Vikki came in her Prius too. Hers it two years older than mine and still looks new and it has 290,000 miles on it. Mine has 150,000. We both have only had to replace brake pads and nothing else. I spotted her car right away because she has a cross hanging from the mirror. I parked next to it, then went inside to meet her. We were celebrating our March birthdays, so we both got free family style chicken dinners and sundaes for dessert. It was so good. We had so much fun talking and catching up. We had lots of food left, so our waitress brought us boxes to pack all the left over food up to take with us. Vikki had told me she couldn’t go to her moms because her sister had gone there, then a day later came down with a bad case of influenza. Her mom didn’t want Vikki to get it. I told her I could take all the left over food to her and drop it off on her porch. She thought that would make her mom really happy. We took a picture together, then we left. I dropped the food off to her mom, and then went to Vikki’s to hang out with Vikki, Kimmy, Eli, Peyton and Isaac. Peyton had to leave to go on a retreat with her youth group. We relaxed while Eli walked on the treadmill, then Kimmy walked on it. I came home so Bill and I would have time to eat before we went to Evan’s Musical. He had a sub and I had leftover spaghetti from the Olive Garden. He read his Bible in the morning, so I had to read mine before going to the Musical. I also walked a mile on the treadmill. We had about 15 minutes to relax before having to leave.
Melissa and Bruce came to Evan’s Musical too and I was so happy and surprised to see Hailey with them. We all sat together and really enjoyed it. Bill and I picked up some popcorn and candy bars. I also had brought three candy bars from home. I gave Melissa a Snickers, Bruce an Almond Joy and Hailey a Snickers with Almonds. Hailey and Bill ate the popcorn. It was such an enjoyable evening.
No pictures today! It snowed for quite a while, but didn’t stick long. Bill and I read our Bibles, then he made homemade toast for us. The bread was from Panera and it was so good. Kenzie FaceTimed me. Rehvyn was just so cute and his smile is so big, it makes me smile. He said Nana real clear, but he was looking at bananas. Oh well, at least he cans say it. We went to visit Diane B. Her knees were healing well after she broke them in a fall. She is able to walk with a walker some now. The doctor is concerned that the incision could be getting infected so they are watching that. We prayed for her while we were there. She is so cheerful and sweet even when going through trials. We enjoyed our visit. After we left, we went to pick up Bill’s MRI results. That didn’t take long. We decided to head to the Midland Cinema to watch the movie, “The Last Supper”. It was good. I was really thanking Jesus for what he went through for me and for everyone, It was hard to watch and hard to think about all he went through and suffered for us. He is the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but through Him. He paid the biggest price...He paid it in blood. After the movie was over, we went to Culver’s. Marie called me and left a message, but I couldn’t understand some of it. I called her back, and she needed me to buy a really large blouse for her that would fit over her broken shoulder and arm without hurting her. I picked three up for her to choose from and will take the other ones back. It took a long time to find the right size and material that she wanted. I got to the hospital 5 minutes before visiting hours were over. I took them up to her right away. They were changing her sheets, so that took pretty long, then Marie was tired out from having to move, so I told her she could just try them on in the morning. She had sounded on the phone like she would go home tomorrow, but when I talked to her there, she didn’t think she would go home tomorrow. I left at around 8:40 and headed home. Bill was in a zoom meeting with our National Evangelist and all the state coordinators. Vikki called me and I talked to her. Bill came and told me that Lew and Cindy were approved to be area reps. Yay! I congratulated them, then called Vikki back. I went in to relax with Bill after that and worked on my Blog.

Can this sweet Rehvyn boy get any cuter! I sure don’t think so. Love that Kenzie sent me this cute picture of them I got ready, filled the kernel burner, then made a coffee. I filled the bird feeders and set a chipmunk trap because I saw one this morning. Roy called me when I got in and said he took Marie to a Covenant Med Express to get checked out for pain. He got the wheelchair out, locked the brakes, hung her purse on the arm of the wheelchair, then Marie got out and was going to sit down. He looked away for a minute and turned around and the wheelchair had fallen backwards with Marie in it and she hit her head on the cement. God had someone there who prayed for Marie right away. Another person was from the medical facility and called an ambulance and checked Marie out. She was having headaches. They were at the ER when he called again to give me an update. She cracked her skull and also had a bleed. The doctor thought everything would heal and the bleed would stop. They admitted her to keep observing her. I put it on the prayer chain at church and also sent it to our prayer group. Bill and I prayed right away. Melody got here at 10 and we visited, and prayed and talked about how good the Lord is. We discussed what we’ve each been reading in the Bible. She is such a sweet friend and I love our mentoring time. She left and Wes and Gayla came about 10 minutes later. Bill asked them if they wanted to ride in the Jeep because they had mentioned it a while back. They did, so they moved their van and hopped in with us. They enjoyed their ride. We got to the Olive Garden and got seated right away. Bill and I got spaghetti, Wes got Chicken Parmesan, Gayla got soup and salad. They all had salad and I got soup. I got the free Italian donuts because of my Birthday. There were 8 of them so we could all have two. Yum! We came back to our house and played 3-13. I was the big winner. Happy Birthday to Me.... Bill had a dentist appointment, so we stopped at the King round, so he could be on time. Wes and Gayla left, then and I went to Barb and Ron’s to buy some more prayer hearts for Sue. They were packing and getting ready for their trip to Texas. She showed me the new woodwork and doors Ron had put up. He sure did a great job. I prayed for their dog because Susie is usually so friendly and today she was just wanting to rest and wouldn’t eat and was throwing up. I went in and saw Melissa and the boys. Evan had already greeted me outside. Melissa and her family gave me the sweetest card when I was there.
