Ed, Bill and Sabrina at the pancake breakfast.

Bill and Pastor Bob

Bike Blessing at Bob and JoAnna's church

We had a delicious pancake breakfast at the church and then a bike blessing.  Then they rode about 150 miles.  I didn't ride because of the rainy forecast.  They did get wet too.  A 15 yr. old girl rode with dad.  She is saving for her own motorcycle.  We've known her since she was 12.  She raises money to place wreaths on soldiers graves at the Michigan National Cemetery.  Last year she raised 60,000.  She has such a good heart and does much to raise money for this great cause.

Got up and got ready to go to St. Charles.  Took the bag of canned goods and put them by the mailbox.  I loved driving in our neighborhood and seeing all the bags by the mailboxes.  Great way to collect  food for the needy.   We met at Meijer's to ride to the breakfast.  I rode in the van with Gayla and Joel because it was starting to rain.  The breakfast was really good.  They did end up going on a ride after.  When Bill got done, we met at Dylan's graduation from the Police Academy.  He looked very handsome in his uniform.  Had a nice time visiting with friends there.   Came home and watched wedding DVD's while I exercised.  Then Bill wanted to take me out for Mother's Day so we went to Applebee's.  We had a very nice time and the food was delicious.  I had a grilled chicken salad.

Vikki's lego find.

Kimmy and Jared brought Eli over early in the morning.  They went on Jacob's field trip with him to Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum.  They met his class down there.  It was a beautiful day so Eli could play outside and jump on the trampoline.  He kept asking me when we were going to McDonalds.  He was pretty excited.  Me too!  Vikki came over with Peyton and Isaac.  They went through the sprinkler, bur Eli didn't want to.  He had fun watching them though.  They played together and then we had lunch.  Afterwards, we went to garage sales in a subdivision near us.  We found a couple of good deals.  Vikki got 618 legos for $6.  There were also other things in the box.  I sent them with Kimmy to look over.  I found a hanging hand towel, 4 reversible placemats, and 2 potholders at one house.  Found a really nice dart board for Kimmy's boys for $1.  Also some nice boys under that were like new, 4 pr. for 50 cents.  It was cute when Eli went to get in a car the same color as mine.  We left there and Vikki went home.  Eli and I headed to Adam's school.  Love how Eli sings all the Christian songs on K'Love.  He know all the words and sings them right out. So adorable.  When we got to the school, Eli wanted to go in.  We went in and I went in the office to let them know I was picking up Adam.  The secretary asked if I had picked him up before and I said yes.  Then she asked Eli if I was his grandma.  He said no!  I said tell her who I am and he told her Nana.  So funny.  I guess my grandchildren need to know I am grandma, but they call me Nana.  Then the lady commented that Eli looks just like his brothers.  Adam was happy to see us.  He gave me a big hug.  We headed to McDonalds.  On the way I stopped at Wendy's for an apple salad to take to McDonalds.  When we got McDonalds, the boys ordered chicken nugget happy meals.  They got transformers as toys so were pretty happy.  We ate then they played for a couple of hours.  They were having so much fun with some other kids that they wanted to keep playing.  We had ice cream after they had played for a while.  Then they played more.  Finally left so we could be home when Kimmy and Jared came to pick them up.  Kimmy had called and said to just take them to my house because they were stuck in traffic and it would be a while.  Papa took them outside with him, so they had more fun.  What a great day and a wonderful time with my wonderful grandsons.

National Day of Prayer. May 7, 2015

Kenzie spent the night.  So nice that she drives herself to school now.

Bill, Marti, Bev, Dave and Keith at National Day of Prayer.  So good to pray for our nation with other believers.  It was an amazing time of prayer.

Dave Strong, Jim Gabriel and Mark Eisenlord were 3 of the speakers/prayer leaders.

These two cuties had so much fun in the sprinkler.  Never saw kids love the sprinkler so much and play in it so long and not complain about it being too cold.  They were so fun to watch.

Peyton by the first sprinkler we tried.

Peyton and Isaac running to jump over the second sprinkler we tried.

Now they were on their 3rd sprinkler.  Love Peyton's expression.

More sprinkler fun!

Love this cutie and this picture!  Her hair was so beautiful with all the long curls.

Love this cutie and this picture too!

Kenzie spent the night so I woke her up a 6 a.m.  As is her usual Nana routine, she asked if she could sleep 10 more minutes.  Then 10 more minutes.  She got up after that and got ready for school.  She was ready to go out the door at 7:15 a.m., which is earlier than when I take her to school.  Spent time praying for our nation as soon as I got up.  Also spent time outside reading the Bible because it was so nice outside.  From 10-10:30 I prayed for BayShore Camp because I had signed up to take that segment.  Right after that I left to go to Catherine's for a hair cut.  Her mom was there visiting from GA.  We had a nice visit.  I took her one of my dangles I have been making and she really liked it.  She showed me the baby's room which is really pretty.  She also showed me all the adorable baby clothes hanging in the closet.  I asked Sarah if she was aiming for Mother's Day and she said no, she wanted to have the baby today.  After I was done there, I headed to Vicky Taylor's house to help her pack and clean.  Lots of work to do there.  Picked up coney dogs, came home and dad and I ate.  Vikki called and she and the kids came over so the kids could play in the sprinkler.  Loved watching them have so much fun.  We rode our motorcycle to Biggby's for our Faith Rider's Officer's meeting.
Vikki was ahead of us.  When we got on Bay Road, we got along side of them and the kids were really waving to us.  So cute!  Dad did a great job leading the meeting.  Looking so forward to tomorrow when I watch Eli and pick up Adam at school.

Awe....Kenzie was standing on the front porch and a bird flew out of the next above her and a baby bird fell out.  So sad.  It was so tiny.

Kenzie picked me some beautiful flowers.  She has been doing this since she was a little girl.

Did laundry today.  Have been trying to wait until I could hang them outside to dry, but it has been raining every day.  It turned out nice today later, but I had to go to a hair appt.  I got there and waited on Catherine's swing on the porch, then got a call that she had taken Sarah to the hospital.  I went over to Vikki's and she, Melissa and I visited and watched the kids on the swing set.  Then we went for a mile walk around her neighborhood.  Melissa pushed a stroller, Vikki pushed a stroller, and I walked with one of the kids (they all took turns).  Left  for home and Kenzie was already at my house.  She drove her car, took me to kids care group, we stopped at 7- 11 on the way to get Gabe a slurp and she went to her youth group.  She came into my room to write our memory verse on the white board for me.  Then she drove me home.  She is careful and does a good job driving.  Catherine called me and it was a false alarm, no baby yet.  She is cutting my hair tomorrow, Lord willing.  My kids in care group were fun. We learned about Jesus coming with the clouds and every eye will see him.  After our story we took a sheet (Melissa brought one because I only had king size and they were too big).  It was our cloud.  The kids all held on to the edge and one would take a word of the memory verse I gave them under it and the rest would try to see if they could read the word.  The kids loved playing this.  Then we made a craft, then we played jump the river.  This was our last lesson.  Next week we have our pizza party.

Kenzie heading off to her first job at Culver's.

She had some wonderful customers tonight.

Bruce, Melissa and the kids stopped in to see her.  The kids were really excited to have her take their orders.  Melissa said she did a great job.  Way to go Kenzie!

A little side note....Vikki and I were staying away until she got confident in her job a little.  Joked with Melissa that she didn't get the memo.  Anyway, they had a good time and Kenzie was so happy to see them.

We went to our breakfast this morning.  Almost everyone was there.  Cleaned the rest of the house and dad cut the grass.  We had a good care group.  Our last lesson was tonight.  It was on Revelation and how Jesus will be returning.  Also how great heaven will be.  We were all pretty excited talking about it.  Thank you Jesus!  Thanks Vikki and Melissa for the pictures.  I borrowed them from you.

No pictures today!  I didn't remember to take any.  I got up and went to Sport Zone.  Walked 2 miles. While I was walking, I saw an older man that I have talked to before.  He is very kind and sweet and I hadn't seen him in a while.  This time he was walking with a walker so I was a little concerned.  He was ahead of me a ways, but he stopped on the track to rest and catch his breath.  I caught up and stopped to talk to him.  I asked how he was doing and he told me he was tired and out of breath.  I asked him if he knew Jesus.  A lady was passing us by and she looked back at me and said, "yes he knows Jesus".  Then he told me he did.  He also told me he had had cancer and his daughter's church in California prayed for him, and his other daughter's church prayed for him and he was on a lot of prayer chains. He was healed of it!  I asked him if I could pray for him and he said sure, so I laid hands on him and prayed for him right there on the track.  That's the second time I've got to do that for someone there.  Praying God does signs and wonders at the sports zone for people he puts on our hearts and in our path.   God is Awesome!
Came home and went to Michaels to get more keychain circles for my dangles.  Picked up some keys too for them.  After that I got groceries at Aldi's.  Vikki came over with the kids to pick up her diaper bag and some weights I had to give Kimmy.  Bill and I went to Trinity Rider's chapter meeting tonight.  We had a nice time and a nice dinner.  So good to see all of our old friends.  Two people want dangles that were at our table.  One wants 2 and ones wants 1.  Praise the Lord.  Want to keep making money to give to Run for the Son.

Today we went to church at Shield of Faith.  We helped start this church with Pastor, Kathy, and the Gagers back in 1990.  It was fun singing the songs from way back when we were there and nice to see everyone.  Nice to honor Pastor Weldon and Kathy too.  So many people's lives have been touched by them and the Love of Jesus.  Good hot dogs and hamburgers afterwards, and yummy cake.  Emotional walking into the old school and seeing Pastor Weldon and Kathy.  Lots of great memories.  We left and I went with Vikki and Kenzie to find Khaki pants for Kenzie for work.  Also shoes and a belt.  Came home and filled my hummingbird feeder and oriole feeder.  Relaxed in the sunshine for a while too.
