We were happy when Kenzie showed up. She started out in the parade and then dropped out to come see us.

Look who got in the candy action!  I put a few steps on my fitbit too!
Peyton and Isaac did pretty good this year but still needed some help.

Love this cute picture of Eli and Adam Kimmy posted.

Got up early to get ready for Evan's field trip.  Good thing I got up extra early because Melissa called and found out I had to be at the Pumpkin Farm with Evan at 9 a.m..  They have always met at the school before and we thought the time would be 9:30.  We got there in plenty of time and it was cool but not rainy so that was good.  We had a wonderful leader and it was so much fun.  Love seeing all the excited kids.  The kids had donuts and juice afterwards and we adults had donuts and cider.  Very yummy.  We all got a free pumpkin and then left.  I decided to take Evan to McDonalds and we went to the one by Vikki's so I called to see if they could meet us there.  We were happy when Vikki said yes.  Later Melissa met us there too so we had fun watching the kids play and visiting.....the girls had fun farming too ha ha.  Left there and went to the Vet to exchange Frontline pills for regular frontline.  Went home after that.  Bill had let Mocha outside for me and I was very happy about that.  He got home from the VA shortly after I got home.  At 3:45 I picked up Hailey, Jack, Max and Evan to go to the Heritage Homecoming parade.  We met Vikki, Rody, Peyton and Isaac at their Aunt Ann's and sat on her lawn to watch the parade.  Such a great spot to sit.   We had fun and the kids got lots of candy.  They were all so happy.

Got up and got ready this morning and went to the vets to get Mocha some flea treatments and also heart worm pills.  It was buy 3 and get $50 back.  I found a flea on Mocha so wanted to treat her right away.  Got home and Kimmy came shortly after.  She had gone to an appointment with a neurosurgeon for Jared's back.  Didn't get good news.  Surgery is only 50/50 so he doesn't really want to do surgery.  Wants to try injections but will take a month to get started.  We sure are praying for a miracle from God for him.  We have seen many so are standing in faith believing for Jared.  We had a nice visit and relaxing day.  Kimmy sewed her dad's leather brief case he uses for CMA.  He was so happy.  Vikki made chicken fried rice for us which was yummy and also got me tho change the light over the stove.  It is great being able to see, not to mention it sure needed cleaning.  Kimmy gave Vikki lots of clothes for Isaac which she really needed because she only had a few outfits that were 5's.  We went through old keepsakes which was fun.  Kimmy had me put our tobacco keeper which I have been calling a safe in the living room.  She helped clean it up which was nice.  We went outside and sat on the double swing for a while and then moved to the porch.  The kids played on the swings and in the sand box while Vikki rested in the trampoline and Kimmy and I visited on the deck.  Had a nice visit with Melissa on the phone too.  After they left, Kenzie got her and gave me her carnation form the dentist and told me the good report from the dentist she got about no cavities.  She worked hard helping us with pulling corn husks, hauling branches, picking up all the stuff Bill trimmed off the trees and the peonies, iris's and other perennials we cut down.  Very good to have done.  She is coming back to help with more stuff that needs to be done.  We left and went to Sullivan's for our CMA meeting.  It was a good meeting and dad did such a good job leading it.  We had nominations for officers.  Bill is nominated for President again, Bill Smith V.P, Gayla, secretary, Luis, treasurer, Brian, Chaplain  and Wes, Road Captain.  Nobody wanted to take over the newsletter, so I am doing it again.

Went to breakfast at Sullivans.  Had 14 of us there today.  Came home and cleaned the house while dad did yard work and cut the grass.  Prayed for those in our care group and studied our lesson more. Warmed up chili I had frozen for dinner.  Had 15 at care group.  Pastor Ken and Joan were here to visit.  It was a great study and lots of people shared.  Had good testimonies during sharing time.

10/5/15

Got a call from Melissa at 5 this morning to pray for Jack as Bruce was taking him to the ER for his asthma.  Started praying right away and appreciated all the updates from Melissa.  He had to have 3 treatments at the hospital so was pretty bad.  Sure am praying he has a good night tonight.  We had to go to Dorothy Hake's mom's funeral today at Peace Lutheran.  It was a nice service and they had delicious food afterwards.  She was 96 so lived a good long life.  Wes, Gayla, Andy, Sue, Louise, Betty and Lorraine were there too so we sat with them.  Bill cleaned out gutters, nailed loose gutters and put a piece of siding back up on the side of the house at the peak.  We listened to Sunday's church sermon and also watched our Bible Study DVD and did the lesson.  Gave Mocha a bath too.
