Pool at the hotel in Valdosta

Love the palm trees
We got up, ate at the restaurant, then left.  We stopped at a Chic Fil A for lunch and had chicken strips.  They were delicious.  It was really busy there, but we got our food within 5 minutes.  We stopped a little later for a Blizzard.  We arrived in Valdosta at about 6:30.  Wes and Gayla had said we would go to our motel room first, but ended up surprising me and going right to the Smokin Pig.  So sweet of them.We ate and were stuffed afterward.  Brought lots of meat home in to go boxes.
Got to the motel and they had given away the handicap room Wes had reserved.  A little upsetting at first, but we prayed God would work it out for good and they ended up getting an even better handicap room.  I facetimed Vikki to show Peyton our motel.  She had facetimed me earlier.  Peyton was already in bed.  Showed Vikki the nice Palm trees and the hotel.

3/2/17...Happy 7th Birthday Eli! Cold out with icy roads We headed for Florida with Wes, Gayla and Joel! YAY

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Eli

Wes, Gayla and Joel at Bob Evans in Maumee, Ohio

Wes and Joel

We left to meet Wes , Gayla and Joel At Tim Horton's at 7 this morning.  Drove to Maume, Ohio and stopped at Bob Evans for breakfast.  Drove 422 miles and stopped for gas.  It was $2.19 a gallon there and filled our car for $21.75.  Got 46 mpg.  Gayla and I drove from there to give the guys a rest.  Nice and hilly.  Got 49 mpg on the way here.  We checked into our hotel in London, KY. The Microtel, and then took the cars through the car wash.  They were covered with salt from the roads so now are nice and clean.
We ate at an Italian restaurant called Dino's.  Our waiter spoke Italian very fluently and broken English.  He was very nice and the food was great.  Went back to the hotel and played 3-13.  I was the winner and Gayla was the big loser.  We had lots of fun.  It was 50 degrees and sunny when we got here!

Happy Birthday to sweet Kody who turns 4 today.  What a sweetie he is.  He was really excited to talk to me on the phone and kept asking if I was going to come over.  I went and walked 2 miles at Sportszone and then came home to finish packing.  Vikki stopped over for a few minutes after Peyton's dentist appointment.  Peyton was sure happy and all smiles.  I gave her a snack to take home and one for Isaac.  She took Mocha for me which was so nice of her.  Bill had her meet him at Tim Horton's after she dropped Peyton off at school.  Sue called and wanted us to come for chili, but I had class today so I couldn't.  Bill went though and brought me a bowl home.  We had a potluck for the teachers at kid's care groups.  Pat, Rich, Stacie, Brian, Alex, Chris, Tina, Matthew, and Joan were there.  I took a meatloaf.  Little Ansel kept smiling at me, so I tried to have him come to me from his mom.  No Way....he was a mommy's boy.  Then Brian took him and came up to me thinking maybe he would come to me easier from him.  No way again....he was a daddy's boy.  He is such a cutie.  They are flying to Arizona and grandma Joan is watching him for 4 days.  He was so excited when Joan came in the room.  Came home and we loaded the car.  All set except the last minute stuff.

2/28/17...Went to breakfast group, went to Cathy's dad's funeral, Had care group

Went to our breakfast.  Wes and Gayla weren't there because Wes had an appointment.  It was Phyllis and Andy's Anniversary so I took the cute picture above.  They are such a sweet couple.  Took some coupons to Melissa's afterwards, but just stuck them in the storm door.  Didn't want to catch what she has so being careful.  We headed to Cathy Krause's dad's funeral after that.   Cathy did a good job reading memories and thoughts she had of her dad.  After the funeral, Bill and I drove to see Brittany and Nolan's house they are building.  It is beautiful and on a beautiful setting.  We went back to the church for the funeral dinner.  Brittany was happy when we told her we went and saw it,  We sat with a couple and the lady was a cousin to Mary Fisher.  Her mom was a sister to Mary's dad.  We had care group and had a new couple who just started coming to our church come.  They were really sweet and they know Bill's sister, Pammie.  They worked together at Baker Perkins.  Sure is a small world.

2/27/17...So sad that Family Christian Book Store is closing....

I went and got the groceries I need for Florida trip.  Went to the Family Book Store and my heart sank as I saw the Store Closing signs in the windows.  I heard they were closing on the radio, but I didn't think it would be so soon.  The workers I talked to had just been told and were very sad.  I will miss going there with my friend, Vikki, after our get togethers.  That's another reason that I am sad.
Went and got Holly's shower gift so I won't have to go late after getting back from Florida.
Got a lot ready for our trip and some stuff packed today.  Watched the movie, Priceless.  So sad what goes on in our world.  Praying hard for those who are victims of sex trafficking.  This movie really moved my heart.

2/26/17..Went to church, went to Wes and Gayla's house, Went back to church for prayer service

Della had her lamb!  So cute and she's a really good mom

We went to church in the morning.  Gayla's brother and sister-in-law visited our church and sat by us.  I taught Sunday School.   Bev Daubert's daughter was here from Alaska and her little girl, Sophia, was in my class.  I told her that when her mom was a baby, we were babysitting her and Bill got a baby bottle ready for her.  He just sat the top on instead of screwing it on.  When he went to feed Lisa the bottle, the milk came out and covered her face.  We could only see her eyes.  We called him the Milk Man after that.  The kids all laughed at that one.  We did lots of fun things in class with our lesson and the kids had fun.  After we got home, we ate and then at 3 we went to Wes and Gayla's to talk about our trip.  Gayla made a banana cake, so we had that, ice cream and coffee while we talked. We left there and went back to church for an amazing, worshipful, prayer service.  The Holy Spirit moved in powerful ways and many hearts were touched.  Came home and relaxed and watched a movie.

Running down the ramp!
Cute of Peyton.  I was taking a picture of the nice wooden coat holder and then looked and saw her and told her to smile!
This morning we went to a teaching at church on prophecy.  It was very good and the Holy Spirit sure was present.  So glad we went.  Came home and Kimmy, Jared and the boys came shortly after.  We celebrated Eli's birthday as we leave for Florida on his birthday.  We ate and then sang to Eli and had his birthday cupcakes.  He was so cute today.  The cupcakes sure were good!  Thanks Kimmy!  Eli opened his present after that.  He sure was happy with it.  Loved how happy he was and excited to play with it.  What a fun time with all the boys today.  Had to get extra hugs for when we are in Florida. They got ready to go have their pictures taken at Penney's.  The boys looked so handsome.
After they left, I went and met Vikki, Rody, Peyton and Isaac at the Camper Show at the Ryder Center.  We had fun with the kids seeing all the campers.  Isaac loved trying all the switches in the campers.  They both were so good and well behaved.  Lots of fun for sure.  Afterwards we went in the center and they got candy and suckers.  We left after that.  Found out that Cathy Krause's dad passed away today.  He was 90 and had just been at Kyle and Ellen's wedding a week ago dancing and having fun.  He and his wife had been married 76 years and won the dance where they have people who have been married for so many years sit down.  They were the last couple standing and were so cute.  I won Amy Ward at Words with Friends tonight.  Bill and I have both been trying to beat her and haven't been able to until now.  She's really good at it.
