11/19/17...Went to church, went to meet Charlie and Sue at the Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Came home and watched a Hallmark Movie

Started snowing really hard on our way to meet Charlie and Sue
We went to church.  The worship was awesome and the Holy Spirit was moving in a mighty way.  Isaac sure does love worshipping the Lord.  Vikki took a video of him and it was amazing to see him so into worship.  Pastor gave a great message on grace, gratitude and generosity.  There were 5 baptisms and 10 new members today.  They had cake to celebrate after service.  We came home and changed and then headed to Mt. Pleasant to the Casino.  Charlie and Sue were staying there for their free room and meals at the Buffet to honor veterans.  They do this on the veteran's birthday.  So nice that they do this.  The rooms are amazing.  Kenzie video chatted me and showed me her kitty in his new condo I got for her for her birthday.  She showed me her cute apartment with the love seat Vikki gave her for it.  So happy to see her and talk to her.  Bill and I got $10 off our meal because he is a veteran.  After we ate, we went to their room and played Euchre.  Then we left and came home and watched a Hallmark Movie.  Such a fun night!  Talked to Kimmy and she wore the shoes to church and had to take them off because they hurt her feet.  I told her I would let Sue know. It is Louise's birthday.  She is 94 today! What a blessing and great friend she is!  I'm so glad she is blessed and can drive and get around so good.

11/19/17...We had our Thanksgiving Celebration today. I am so thankful for my family, friends and all of God's many blessings! Jared cleaned out our eave troughs which was a huge blessing to us. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

Bill woke me up at 5:30 and asked in a startled voice if I should be up.  I couldn't go back to sleep after that so I got up and started getting things ready.  I had my alarm set for 6 am.  I made the stuffing and got the turkey in the oven first.  Then I got the ham going in the crock pot.  Peeled potatoes and then took my shower.  Ate a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast.  Kimmy, Jared and the boys came first.  Sure was happy to see them and get those great hugs.  The boys sure are good helpers.  Jared asked me if our eave troughs were cleaned out.  I told him no and he got right up and went outside and started cleaning them.  Adam went out to help.  Bill was in the shower, but when he got out he headed outside.  He never likes to ask for help.  When he came in he asked if I asked Jared to do it.  Sure am glad I could say no.  What a wonderful son in law to just think of it and offer.  With his knee replacements, it's not to safe for Bill to be up on the roof doing that.  He thinks he fine up there though.  Melissa, Bruce and the kids got here.  Chuck and Sue came next and then Vikki, Rody, Peyton and Isaac came last.  Kimmy and Jared mashed the potatoes, Melissa warmed the rolls, Bill cut the turkey, I made the gravy and Vikki and all of us set stuff on the table.  What a great bunch of helpers who made it so easy and fun.  Everyone like the food and I was happy it turned out so well.  Vikki's Jello salad was delicious, Bruce's Green bean casserole was delicious and Adam and Eli's apple pies were delicious.  We had fun playing cards and visiting.  Loved it when Adam and Max put on a trombone concert for us.  They played so good together and kept time really well for never playing together before.  When Sue left she told Bill she and Kimmy had the same kind of shoes.  She put a pair on and left.  When Kimmy left a while later, she put her shoes on and said they were tight and she didn't think they were hers.  She wasn't sure though.  I called Sue and Kimmy left with the shoes.  What a fun day and can't thank the Lord enough for His goodness to us.

11/17/17...Got ready for our Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow,,Went to see Hailey in the living Nativity and the lighting of the city lights.

Jack and Evan were happy to be eating their Elephant Ears

They found a nice rock to eat on
Baked four batches of rolls, made two chocolate banana pies, and made cranberry relish for tomorrow.   In the evening we went to the Lighting of the trees in Saginaw with Bruce, Melissa and the kids. (all but Max who went to spend time with a friend).  Hailey was a shepherd in the Living Nativity at the Montague Inn so we started out there.  We walked to the Water Treatment Plant next and listened to the choir sing Christmas Carols.  We all had a hot dog and then watched the lights come on.  It was nice seeing the horse drawn wagons go down the street.  We walked through the Farmer's Market.  Got Cider and Coffees there.  The boys were excited about getting Elephant Ears and it was cute watching them eat them.  Went back to the Living Nativity after that and saw Hailey in it.  Love that she loves doing that.  The choir was singing, but not too many showed up because of a mixup so Evan wanted to join it.  He did and did a good job! We came home and I got some more things ready for tomorrow and then watched a Hallmark movie with Bill.

11/16/17...Picked up some groceries and then picked up two Arby's chicken sandwiches for Kimmy and I to have for lunch. Vikki and the kids came over later. Went to help residents at Community Village with Bingo, Wes and Gayla came over

Jack, Max, Hailey and Jack

Isaac and Peyton

Bill calling bingo numbers for residents at Community Village
Got lots of cards sent out (not Christmas cards though).  Went and got a few things at Kroger's that I forgot that I need for Thanksgiving dinner.  Went to Aldi's and a girl was looking at all the hams and trying to find a good one.  I was waiting patiently for my turn to look at the hams and she apologized for taking so long.  I told her it was ok and I wasn't in a hurry.  She took about ten minutes and told me she is so picky because she used to work at a meat market.  She said not to pick out a reddish ham but a light pink one.  Reddish hams were stressed when they were killed she said.  She ended up picking out two hams she liked and then decided on one.  I told her I would take the other one she picked and thanked her.  She told me to have a very Happy Thanksgiving.  She was really sweet.  I picked up two grand turkey sandwiches at Arby's. I got home and started knitting a dishcloth and Kimmy got here shortly after.  We ate our sandwiches and a salad for lunch and had a nice visit.  We both worked on our knitting.  Melissa had called and was having trouble with her van, so I left at 2:50 to go pick up the kids.  They were all excited to see me.  I took them home and went in for a minute to see Melissa.  Came home and Vikki, Peyton and Isaac had got here.  We visited and the kids helped me Christmas shop online.  After they left, I made hamburgers, potatoes and corn for dinner.  We went to Community Village after dinner to help the residents with bingo.  Bill called the numbers and was so cute again.  He sure gets them laughing.  I had a lady at my table that will be 99 on Christmas Eve.  She was so sweet and gave me really good advice.  Appreciate what you have and be thankful!  Wes and Gayla came over afterwards and played 3-13.  I was the winner.  Bill and I watched a really touching Hallmark movie afterwards.

11/15/17... Went to SportsZone, Did Delta Club lesson, Charlie brought us sausage he made and baked apples with walnuts and raisins, Taught my class

Beautiful sunrise this morning

10 minutes later this is what it looked like...It sure changed fast

Went to SportsZone and walked three miles.  Bill had an appointment with the Chiropractor.
Worked on my lesson for church tonight.  Taught my class and the kids did great and were so good. They made bookmarks with stickers and a Bible verse on them and then we laminated them.  They turned out so cute.  All of my grandkids knew their Bible verse.  Great job girls for working with them on their verses.  Love that they are hiding God's Word in their hearts.  Watched a Hallmark movie with Bill when we got home.
