8/15/23, Tues, went and picked up our camper, Vikki and the kids came over, kimmy and the boys came over

Isaac and Peyton waiting at the RV place
Ha ha, Bill was walking ahead of Vikki and the  worker and vikki started laughing and so did the guy because Bill had a sock hanging on his back. Don’t know how the dryer put it through that little loop.

Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over at 8:30 and we drop to the RV dealer for them to show is everything works and to take it home.  The kids loved riding on the couch.  We and our girls used to love doing that with my mom and dad in their motor home.  When we got to Freeland Vikki switched with me and I drove my car and she rode in the motor home.  When we got home, Vikki and I worked on loading the inside.  We helped Bill do the outside loading when he moved it out back later.  Kimmy and the three boys came over.  We we went for a ride with them in the back of it.  Kimmy told Bill while he was driving that she had to be back to our house soon, so he turned.  Boy did we go down some bumpy country roads.  Felt like a roller coaster lol.

Vikki and the twins came back in the evening and we all spent the night in the camper.  We played 3-13 and ate healthy veggies from the garden for a snack.  Then we went to bed.

8/14/23, Happy Birthday Joel! We love you! We took our old camper in and said goodbye to it, went to breakfast, Saw Mike Eaton and Dan Thomas there, picked the garden, shopped for camping trip

Bill picked this yummy apple off our tree for me today

We have lots of great memories in this great Voltage 5th wheel.  Downsizing to a 34 ft. motorhome.  It will be so much easier for Bill and we will be able to drive it out of state when we go.  Know we will make lots of memories in our new one too.
Happy Birthday Joel! We love you and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

The flowers look beautiful with all this rain we are getting

We got up and read our Bibles.  Neither of us ate breakfast.  I got the two cot mattresses out of the loft to give back to Kimmy.  Then we took our camper in to drop it off today, so we can save time tomorrow when we pick our Motorhome up, since Bill has to do a wedding in Pinconning at 2.  Vikki and the kids are going to go with us to pick it up.  They are going to do a demonstration of everything to show us everything works.  It is cleaned and sprayed for germs, so I will just have to pack my part of it while Bill is at the wedding.  He can put his outside stuff where he wants it when he gets home.  Only twelve people will be there, so he told me I don't need to go.

Bill asked me if I wanted to go out to breakfast and of course I said yes.  We went back to Cafe M.  When we got out of the truck, Mike Eaton was just getting out of his truck.  We went and gave him a hug and talked to him for a while.  We told him we were very proud of him for being a great man of God and following Jesus.  We are Facebook friends, but haven't seen each other for a long time.  We went in and ordered and started eating, then Mike and our other friend, Dan, came in to eat.  A friend from church was treating them for fixing his well.  We talked with them for quite a while.  Mike said he and his wife for sure have to get together with us and we need to plan something.   We were going to go to Kimmy's to drop off Adam's things he forgot, but when I texted her, she said they were at the fairgrounds.  She will just get his things when they come to look at the motorhome.  Her phone isn't working right now, so I was glad she saw my text.  Her phone answering service comes on and says her number is changed which it isn't.  Rody has Verizon working on it.

I cleaned the upstairs, and got the upstairs floor scrubbed and everything washed.  Then I went  to Walmart and was able to get an ear thermometer for Melissa with my health insurance over the counter card.  I was so happy.  I'm glad it was covered.  I took it over and dropped it off right away.  She still needs prayer for healing.  She is congested and has lost some strength.  I sure am praying for my sweet girl.

Sunday, 8/13/23, Went to prayer and church, went to see Stacie get baptized, went to Faith Rider's ladies luncheon, Vikki came over, Bill visited Ralph

Yay, Stacie got baptized today!  We are so happy and so proud of her making this great decision to follow Jesus in baptism!!!
Bill, Stacie and Stacie's pastor

Me, Jen, Dot, Barb, Elaine and Elaine's mom at our Faith Rider's Ladies luncheon at Denny's

Jack came out to see me when I got to their house to drop off some trail mix packets
Lots in the middle was down, so I stood it up and pressed the dirt around the bottom with my foot which was in a muck boot.

We went to prayer, then into the church service.  We prayed for people after church.  Brittany's 14 yr. old niece came up for prayer for her papa to be healed of cancer.  She is such a sweet girl.  The first thing she showed us was she was wearing the WWJD bracelet Bill gave her last time she had us pray for her.  Vikki let Bill know to call Stacie right away because she wanted to get a hold of us, and couldn't.  The Holy Spirit moved upon her to get baptized today at a baptism service at some people's house that go to her church.  She wanted Bill to Baptize her.  She is our Bonus daughter in love from the Lord.  We went home and changed right away and both drove separately there, because I had to go to a Faith Riders Ladies luncheon at 1:30.  We got there and were so happy to see Stacie and her big smile.  So thankful she called us even though it was last minute, so we could be there.  She and Bill didn't have a signal, so she used my phone and called DJ.  We were so happy that he made it there in time.  We saw Bill and Gretchen Mallory.  Bill grew up with our kids and was just a little older.  We also saw the people who used to own Riders, Don Braman, and Sara and JJ Reiner.  Stacie told the pastor I had to leave early. They did the baptism before eating which was great because I could be there and see Stacie get baptized.  Kody came over to watch.  He had been fishing and riding in the paddle boat.  He smiled and came and gave us big hugs.  She sure is growing up fast and getting very tall and very handsome.  Stacie gave a testimony before getting baptized about how God had her meet Bill and then how she became family to us.  It was very touching.  It was just so special seeing her get baptized by Bill and her pastor.  What a great day and how wonderful to see her follow Jesus in baptism.  We love her so much.

I went to my luncheon after that.  We had a fun time and nice visit.  We had good food too.
We all got to know each other better.  Vicki Beemer and Iain came to sell me an entertainment card Iain is selling for a football fundraiser.  They both gave me a hug when they came in and another before they left and Iain told me he loved me.  He is like a grandson to me.  I had him in my Sunday School class K-1, and his family and us became really good friends.  It's been about 14 years now we've known them.  His dad just passed away a year ago.

Vikki came over to pick up a long stick like a cane.  I went out back to see her and noticed the corn in the middle had all fallen over from the wind and rain.  I didn't feel like it, but I went and got my mud boots anyhow and straightened the corn up and pressed it in that muddy dirt so it would stand up again.  Hopefully it stays.

Bill got home and said he ran in to Krause's.  He said they are going fishing the first of Sept., but will probably come home for our party.  They also told Bill that Brittany's father in law, has stage 4 liver cancer.  We are continuing to pray for a miracle.

Saturday, 8/12/23, Bill did a wedding, Cleaned 5th wheel, weeded flower garden,

Bill with the groom, (Ryan) waiting for the wedding party to walk up the aisle

Katie
Emily is on the far left...She just turned 15 yesterday.  She was in my Sunday School Class when she was in Kindergarten and 1st grade.  She always came back to my classroom to tell me hi and talk to me. I was so happy to see her.
Bill did a great job.  I need to video him sometime because he has the best voice and does such a great job marrying people.  I am very proud of him!

Me and my sweetie!  I sure am blessed!
Not very good at selfies lol

Bill drank his protein drink and I ate my usual oatmeal breakfast.  We read our Bibles.  I went out in the camper and got what was on the loft down.  I found two shirts of Isaac's and a pair of socks, 6 pillows and a blanket.  I almost forgot to get stuff down from there.  We got ready and went to Auburn for a wedding Bill was officiating.  He told me it was Katy Sellers from church, but I didn't know who it was although I had heard the name before.  We got to the wedding and saw the Propps.  We sat in the shade by them and talked to them for a while.  I found out it was Emily and Tyler's mom who was getting married.  I love those kids and I was so happy to see them and see Katie too.  She was always so nice when she came and picked the kids up from my class.  I see Tyler at church, but he's in the youth now so I never see Katie, and I didn't know that was her last name.

Bill did an amazing marriage ceremony.  It was a beautiful wedding and the reception was really nice too.  They had a great snack bar, and the food was just amazing.  We sat by ourselves at the very last table away from the bridal table.  We figured we would be last getting to eat, but wanted to save the closer tables for family and close friends.  The photographer, videographer and DJ ended up coming to our table right before it was time to eat and sat across from us at our round table.  They got their food right away because they had to eat while the bride and groom were eating.  When a guy from the food servers saw them eating and us not, he told us to go get in line right away.  We were so happy.

We came home and I went out to pack up the stuff I got out of the loft.  I also vacuumed, dusted and wiped out kitchen drawers.  I washed the back outside window too because it was pretty dirty.  Bill came out and carried stuff to the garage for me.  After that I hoed an weeded my flower garden.  It was pretty thick mud because of all the downpours we have had lately.
Got it all done, but need to edge it again.

I went in to relax after that and we watched another video on our motorhome to learn more about it.

Marie called me today and I talked to her for a while.  She called to get me praying for her friend Lynn who had a brain bleed from an aneurism.  I prayed with her on the phone.

I talked with Vikki and Melissa on the phone today. Texted with Jack.  He's happy he got a really nice ping pong paddle.   Melissa called me to let me know there will be lots of meteors tonight a midnight.  I went out at midnight and sat on a chair with my blanket.  Saw a small one, then a long one, then 4 more nice ones.  Thanks for letting me know Missy!

Friday, 8/11//23, Took veggies back to our neighbor, dropped Adam off for soccer, Jacob picked Adam up and came here, emptied the 5th wheel out, took Adam's bike to his house, drove home in heavy rain, took three returns back, Yay Kimmy and Jared are home

I was very happy to see Jacob.  He has stayed very busy the past 2 weeks.  I saw him Thurs. for a few minutes at the camper place, but didn't think to get a picture.  He was heading to Lansing.  He sure has done great and been very responsible while Kimmy and Jared were gone to Copper Harbor.
Boo hoo...I am losing my Adam today.  He is moving back home after spending the week with us so he could go to soccer tryouts.  He is a great kid to have around and we loved having him stay with us.  Another very responsible kid.  He amazed me.
Adam and Jacob ready to head for home in the Dodge!  Jacob loves this car.  He even had me come out and see how you push the button and the trunk opens.  My car needs one of those.

Jacob ready to drive

Vikki made this beautiful mobile for Kenzie's baby.  She is so talented.
Kenzie called me to let me know it was hailing at her place and could hail here.  She showed me a picture and told me to cover the truck as much as I could.  We did!  I went out and took the cover off and saw this beautiful sunset.  Thanks Kenzie and Vikki for the warning.  Thanks Melissa too for the thunderstorm warning so I could close up the camper.  We have wonderful daughters who care about us so much.  We are blessed!
This is how big the hail was at Kenzie's.  WOW!

I got up early and picked the garden.  Washed some green peppers, tomatoes (small ones, medium ones and a large one (they are just starting to get ripe) and took them back to our neighbors.  Bill had texted Chase and let him know I was coming.  He came out the door to greet me, get the vegetables, and thank me.  They are great neighbors.  Adam and I left there and went to where he is practicing for soccer.  I dropped him off, then went to Melissa's.  I just set what I took for her on the porch table.  Jack texted me right before I got there.

I got home and Bill and I went to Kroger to fill our gas tanks and get $1 off up to 35 gal. Great to have that right now with high gas prices so high.  I came home and ate a muffin Bill brought home for me from Tim Horton's.  He had coffee with Charlie there this morning.  Jacob and Adam came about 15 minutes after I got home.  I was happy to get to see Jacob.  Adam packed most of his stuff up last night and I washed his clothes.  Both of those boys carried everything down (refrigerator, table, and lots of stuff Adam had). They joyfully worked together getting every thing packed in the car.  Adam put his air mattress in my car, because I told him I would drop his bike off later.  They were ready to leave and I took some pictures.
I waved goodbye.  Then I got the car ready to drive back by the 5th wheel so I could pack stuff in it to bring to the garage.  The boys came back because Adam couldn't find his phone.  Adam and I looked all over the house.  Then we went back to the car.  Jacob tried calling it.  Adam found it on the floor on the side of his seat.  They said goodbye and off they went again.

Bill came home and we decided to unload the camper. Rain was in the forecast and we wanted to do it before that started.   I packed up tubs, clothes baskets, boxes and he loaded them in the car and truck.  Then he drove to the garage and unloaded everything in the garage.  He worked hard and it was very hot outside.  I was in air conditioning working at least.  He got the spring back on a chair in the back room of the camper, so the foot rest comes out again.  He's very strong too.  I tried and it looked impossible.  We got everything done, but I forgot to get things off the loft, so will do that tomorrow.

Bill also loaded Adam's bike on the rack on my car.  I called Jacob and let him know I was bringing it.  I got to take to Kimmy on the way there which was so nice.  They were by the Mackinaw Bridge.  The closer I got to their house, the darker it looked.  I got almost to their house and it started sprinkling.  It quit while Jacob unloaded the bike, Adam got his stuff out of my car, and I helped tighten up the bike rack to travel home.  I got in the car and they got in the house and a few minutes later it was a down pour.  It was like I was driving in a carwash all the way home.  I stayed pretty close to the car ahead of me so I could follow their lights. I was happy to get home.  I was very happy to get the call that Kimmy and Jared were close to their house.  Thankful to have them home safe and their family all back together.

I talked to Melissa a few times.  Bruce did call the doctor and got medicine for his Covid.  I am sure glad.  Can't wait until they are all feeling good again.  Bill backwashed the pool because it was getting very full.  He did that while I put slide outs in.  Then we relaxed.  I texted with Jack for a while.  I am missing him.  l want him to get better so he and Eli can come spend the night again.  Great kiddo!

Thurs., 8/10/23, Took Adam to soccer, came home and made egg salad, Vikki and Kenzie came over and addressed envelopes and put invitations in, went to Adam soccer parents meeting,

Kenzie...cute momma to be
Adam joining us outside
Kenzie tried my sister's bridesmaid dress from our wedding on.  It was too big, but looked cute on her
Me in my sister's bridesmaid dress she wore in my wedding and Kenzie in my wedding dress.  (I sure don't fit in that anymore)

Kenzie picked this beautiful bouquet out of my flower garden

Hailey came out to say hi when I did an outside visit
Clair is up in the balcony above the H
Clair in the blue on the right of the yellow shirt

Took Adam to his soccer.  I started two loaves of bread in the bread makers.  I also boiled eggs to make egg salad.  Vacuumed and cleaned the bathroom.  Bill offered to go get Adam for me.  Vikki and Kenzie were coming over to do the invitations outside, so it worked out good. However, Kimmy and Jared face timed me, thinking they would get to talk to Adam, but just got me.  Bill doesn't have face time, so they couldn't FaceTime him.  We talked for a long time which I was happy about.

Vikki got her first and sat out on the deck.  Kenzie came next and brought me a yummy pizza bun and some chocolate covered cherries.  They started addressing envelopes and I peeled eggs and made the egg salad.  Then in 30 minutes, the bread was done.  I let it cool 10 minutes, then sliced it with my Rada knife.  It is so amazing how it can cut warm bread without squishing it.  I made sandwiches up and  we ate  outside.  We all kept our distance from Vikki.  She doesn't have any symptoms, but Peyton just got over Covid, so we are still being careful.  They worked good together and got them done pretty fast.  Kenzie was cute.  When she got to Wes and Gayla's and Aunt Debbie's, she put a heart sticker on them to make them special.  I talked to Melissa.  She is still not feeling good, although she said the covid medicine is working.  Jack is a tiny bit better.  I sure am praying for them.

When all the invitations were done, Kenzie left and took them and mailed them.  She called me after she dropped them in the mail.  She is such a sweet, smart girl who is always willing to help and she's so talented too.  It started raining just before she left and it wasn't in the forecast.  After she left, it started just pouring and was really windy.  We tried to have Vikki come in with a mask, but she wouldn't.  She stood under the gazebo in the center and put a pillow over the papers she had.  The invitations were already with Kenzie.  Yay.  This was so unexpected and came up so fast there wouldn't have been time to gather them all.

I went to Melissa's to drop 6 covid tests off for her to have.   Hailey came out to see me.  Melissa opened the door to say hi.  She texted me that they loved getting the surprise package of licorice I stuck in the bag.  I sure love them all and can't wait til they are better.  I am doing a lot of praying.

Debbie came over and paid for the hearts my friend made for her.  We only got to visit for a few minutes, because I was just getting ready to leave for the soccer parent meeting I was going to for Kimmy and Jared.  Adam offered to go with me and show me where the media room was, but I told him where it was.  He had explained it earlier and I remembered.  I went and ended up having to go to the gym first.  It was nice, because Claire had had band camp all week and was playing in the band for us.  She did great.  I sent Adam a picture and video.  The meeting was good and I took lots of notes for them.  They went to where they had a good signal, so I could ask them any questions I had during the meeting.  I only had one, and was glad to have them online to ask them.  I talked to Kimmy almost all the way on the drive home.  So nice.  I came home and tried running off 8 more invitations.  I had tried a few times and the printer wouldn't run all the copies I needed.  Kenzie called and I mentioned it to her and she said to try turning the printer off.  That worked!  Kenzie to the rescue again.

I talked to Melissa in the evening and now Bruce has Covid.  Bummer.  Hailey is the only one that hasn't got it.  Melissa needs prayer for strength and healing.  She is feeling weak.  Praying for God to heal quickly.

Bill and I watched another video on our camper model.  We are learning lots.
