Friday, 11/14/25, Vikki and Kimmy came over, they worked on the kite practically all day, Bill helped Kimmy and Vikki too, I made cabbage and pizza buns, The kite is down, had zoom meeting with our CMA Area Reps ,

Bill and I at the movie last night...our pop we shared looks ginormous!
Christopher our great nephew is a Marine and his daughter Emberly at the Marine Corp Ball
Christopher with his wife Angie, Grandmother Angie, and 2 of his kids

The kite story ended today with it being rescued out of our tree
Isaac by the tree....Not good lighting...lesson learned...I guess he needs to stand on the side of the tree...these grandkids grow so fast
Peyton’s turn......she wanted colored lights...a little better, but still not the best

My two amazing daughters, Kimmy and Vikki trying to get the kite down from way up in that tree.  Vikki is up on the garage.  They worked as a team with Kimmy putting sinkers on and Vikki casting the fishing pole trying to catch not a fish, but a kite.

It was pretty cool how the tree guy got the kite down.  These are two videos of it!

Kimmy and Vikki came over this morning.  They bought me an amazing brush they both have and love and surprised me with it!  It works so good on my hair!  Thank you girls!   I love it!  What a blessing!  We all had our coffees and ate oatmeal for breakfast.  They moved two of my plant around for me in the family room so the tall one is in the back.  It looks much better.  I made bread dough in the breadmaker.  Melissa and Hailey called me today and Hailey told me to mark my calendar for the Saturday after my surgery because she is bringing me a homemade meal that she knows I will like and so will Papa.  It was just so sweet of her, a busy college girl, taking time to plan to help her Nana.  I sure love that thoughtful girl and I am looking forward to that yummy meal.  It is definitely on my calendar!!!  Thank you so much Hailey!

The girls decided they wanted to try to get the kite down.  They worked from late morning to late afternoon trying to snag that kite out of the tree. They used fishing poles and sinkers.   Bill came out with his crossbow and Vikki taped two nuts to the tip of it, then. he shot it and Kimmy shot it to try to knock the kite out of the tree.  Kimmy and Vikki went back to using the fishing pole technique after that.  Unexpectedly, we had a person from Flint that Bill had called about looking at our big Sycamore tree and seeing if he could take it down.  He just happened to come today and while the girls were working.  When he was going to leave, Vikki asked him if he ever got kites out of trees.  He said yes, but not today!  I’m going hunting today.  Well he went to his truck and was in it a while, when he came back out and had a sandbag tied to twine.  He started throwing it and got it up in the tree.  Then he got the kite out of the tree.  I’m glad Vikki videoed it.  I sent it to Ben, the Kite owner, and he thought it was pretty awesome and loved that my family worked so hard on it. He also loved the rest of the kite story where God sent a tree person who knew just how to get the kite down.  God is so Awesome.  I am thanking him for getting it down and for Kimmy, Vikk, Bill and also the tree guy to get the kite freed.  I’m also so thankful to Rody for offering to use his drone.  It didn’t work out because he has been trying to find something that could grab the kite and open and close.  He didn’t want his drone getting stuck up there and I didn’t either.  I was really praying that no one would get hurt either.  Thank you everybody!!!

Vikki came in and helped me stuff the cabbage buns.  I had the two pizza buns done.  It sure helps having another set of hands.  Thank you Vikki. We ate, then Vikki left to go pick up the kids from school.  They came here and had ice cream and so did Vikki and Kimmy.
Bill and I waited to have some for our snack tonight.

Peyton sent me her Christmas list.  She is always the first one and always has a great list.
She sent me a picture of a pink goat too.  Silly girl!

We had our CMA Area Rep Zoom meeting.  It went really well and Bill did a great job leading it.  He’s a great leader!  I’m so proud of him!  I read my Bible and worked on my blog after that.

I slept really good until 5, then got up and came out to my recliner.  I slept until Bill got up around 8, then made me a coffee and oatmeal.  We both read our Bibles.  I went upstairs and got ready.  I listened to good worship music.

I cleaned winter stuff out of the closet and drawers, then put away the summer things upstairs that Bill carried up for me yesterday.  Now he’s going to carry down the winter stuff so I can put it away down here.  I’m keeping him busy.

I had a lamp that was by the stairs that was going to go upstairs, but I found a place for it in the living room.  I’m trying to save Bill some steps.  I do have one more load of summer stuff I found to go upstairs though.

At 1, we went to our mandatory Joint Class at Covenant M.  There were just 4 of us needing surgery there plus our support person, although one man in a wheelchair didn’t have a person with him.  The girl teaching the class did a great job and took time to let everyone ask questions.  Bill asked her if she was related to Mike Eaton as that was her last name, but she wasn’t.  We dropped off things I had packed up this morning for the thrift store.  Then we went to Old Town Drive In and used a coupon I cut out of the paper and each got 2 coney dogs and a Root Beer.  Yum!  So much fun and so good.

We came home and saw our friend, Ziggy was at the movie seeing Sarah’s Oil.  Afterward he commented on how good and inspiring it was.  We are going tonight at 8:10 to see it.  I love seeing good Christian movies.  We didn’t care much for this movie.  Sarah and her family were so nice I didn’t like watching them get treated badly.  I guess I just like light hearted Christian movies with a good Gospel message.  This was based on a true story, so I guess they portrayed it the way it was.  Too many thieves and very evil men in it for me though.

Wed., 11/12/25, had CT Scan, packed up shorts and summer clothes and Bill took them upstairs for me, washed and packed up stuff for Thrift Store, Bill mowed took care of all the leaves on the ground

The yard looked so nice after Bill got rid of all the leaves.  The whole yard was covered with them after the snow.
The Maple is finally turning a beautiful color.  It’s not bright yellow like normal.  Lots more leaves to come down.
Look at the beautiful pink in the sky
I used that Scrub Daddy on the sink to clean the sink.  It sure works great!  Maddy got me it for one of my surprises.

Maryjane, Christine, Heidi....my seat was next to Heidi on the right

Me and Linda...we left our table to get some yummy food!

Emily and Janet
Tina and Karen
Connie and Donya

Shannon on the right...I don’t know the other girls.  There were 55 in this class.

Vicki and Jennifer
Only know Kristin on the right

I got up early and came out to my recliner.  I still had two hours before I had to get up and get ready at 5:45 a.m. to go for my CT Scan at 7:15. It’s only 10 minutes away, so I got there and was the first one called back.  It only took about 10 minutes.  I came home and started laundry, then slept a while longer in my recliner.  I was super tired from not sleeping good last night.  Bill got up about an hour later.  We both read our Bibles and did our prayer books.  I did some knitting and finished a dish cloth.

Bill’s brother, Fred, called to thank Bill for his service and to see how I was doing.  He is always very kind hearted.  We talked to him for a while, then set up for he and Lourdes to come over to our house on Sunday for dinner and to play games.  We have been wanting to have them for a long time and now want to do it before my surgery.

Bill went out to mow the grass and get rid of all the leaves in our yard.  I went through my closet and got all my summer clothes ready and then all the summer clothes in my drawers too.  I had two clothes baskets full plus two loads of hanging stuff.  I also washed some things I have to give to a thrift store.  I got it ready to take hopefully after our class for my hip tomorrow. When Bill got done mowing, he went into town to wash the Jeep and get gas for the gas cans.  When he got home, I had a no cheese pizza made for him.  He ate all but one piece.  After he ate, he carried my summer clothes upstairs for me. Tomorrow I will bring more winter clothes downstairs and put them away.  I did a load of laundry today too.
I also cleaned my sink really good with my Scrub Daddy Maddy got for me.  It sure does a great job.  Scrub mommy does a great job too and is a little smaller and softer.  They both work great.

I worked on my blog after that. Kenzie FaceTimed me with Rehvyn and I also got to FaceTime with Travis while he held Rehvyn.  Then later on Vikki FaceTimed me with Rehvyn to show me his new winter boots.  He was pretty happy about them.

Tues., 11/11/25, Happy 28th Birthday Kenzie, We love you!, Went to breakfast at Denny’s, got Veteran Freebies, went to Golden Coral, went to Flint Chapter CMA meeting

Three young Marines with a very wise Marine.  They looked so amazing as they were walking up to the door with their hats on.  They were so polite and friendly.  So thankful for their service and thankful for Bill’s service to our country.
Bill driving us for Veteran Day freebies
We loved being able to stop and see the girls and bring them surprises
Ate dinner at the Golden Coral in Flint with Bev and Jim

We got up and got ready and left at 8:30 to go to Denny’s for Bill’s free Veteran’s breakfast.
There was a line up inside the restaurant, but it didn’t take long and it was our turn.  We saw Debbie and Dale Honold leaving, so talked to them.  Her hair was getting long, she had lost it a few years back because of Chemo.  Then she told me the cancer was back.  I prayed with her right there for her healing.  I am continuing to pray.  Dale’s sister, Ruthie was with them so it was nice to see her.  Bill had been talking to a guy who used to work for him and was a great worker and his wife.  We got sat down and had 2 extra seats at our table, so we told the waitress she could tell Joe and Linda to come sit with us if they wanted to.  They were happy to get sat down quicker.  They were a really nice couple and we had a great time visiting.  When we left and were in the parking lot together, he told us he was going to be starting a year of chemo and radiation.  We prayed for him before we left the parking lot too.
Will continue to pray for him too.  We went to Tim Horton’s and picked up free donuts.  We will be eating ours tomorrow as we were too full from breakfast.  We also got some boneless chicken wings at Buffalo Wild Wings.  Bill got pizzas for us to have tomorrow too.  He loves doing this every year.  We also went to Texas Roadhouse so he could get his coupon for a free meal there which doesn’t expire until May of 2026.  I love that they do it that way.  We are so thankful all of these businesses do this for veterans to honor them..
We got to see visit each of the girls today too.  We took them some surprises.  They are the sweetest daughters.  We came home and got our CMA Vests at 3, then headed to Flint to meet Bev and Jim at Golden Coral for the guys to get their free dinner.  We girls enjoyed our dinners and getting together.  We had a nice time visiting and enjoying good food.  After dinner we went to Bob Evan’s for the Flint CMA chapter meeting.  Jim is the president and Bev is the Chaplain.  It was a good meeting.  The guys got free breakfast meals to take home for tomorrow morning.  I just enjoyed hot coffee with good French Vanilla Creamer. It was nice seeing everyone at the meeting.  Bev prayed at the end and once again I got prayer for my hip surgery.  We came home and while we were driving, I talked to Marie and prayed for some health issues she is having.  She prayed for my upcoming hip surgery again too.  Then Kenzie and Vikki FaceTimed me and had me join them to see how Rehvyn can put his pajama bottoms on by himself now.  He is so coordinated.  He had a little trouble and looked like a mermaid with both feet in the same hole a few times.  My phone died and when I was offline, he put them on right really quick.  I missed it.  By the time I got my phone charged and got home and back on FaceTime with them, he wasn’t really wanting to try anymore.  He was cleaning up his room, throwing some bedding into his crib and picking up some hangers that were on the floor.  He loves to pick up.  He did pull his diaper off and Kenzie helped him put his feet in and pulled that up.  He was so smiley and cute.  I read my Bible after that, then worked on my blog.

Cassie, the commandant of the John R. Rock Marine Corp Leage did a great job reading one of the historical readings.  She is Bill’s sister Debbie’s friend and she and her husband Jeff sat at our table.

The Heritage Choir came and sang God Bless America to honor the Veterans.  They did a great job!

I made coffee for both of us, then descaled the Keurig coffee maker.  It took a while but was easy.  Bill started reading his Bible right away.  I was going to join him, when my phone rang.  It was a Covenant nurse who wanted to go over my pre surgery stuff and do a questioner.  She was very nice and informative.  It took about 35 minutes to get through everything.  She wanted me to call my surgeons office and find out some info and also my family doctor.  Needless to say it was a busy day on the phone.  I went in after that to start reading my Bible.  I took a pack of Belvita wafers in for me and also grabbed a pack for Bill.  When I went to sit down, he saw them and asked if I would go get him a pack.  I told him I already got him one.  That made him happy.

Bill got ready and went to the Marine Birthday Party at the VA.  I decided to stay home as it is a lot of walking there and I wanted to have my leg be nice and rested for the Marine Corp Ball tonight.

If filled the bird feeders outside.  The birds have been eating so much.  Now they are happy again.  I love watching them.

I read my Bible and did my prayer books, then I went upstairs and got some dressy dresses out of the closet to choose to wear tonight.  I brought 3 downstairs and when Bill got home, I had him pick his favorite.   I was happy he picked the one most comfy and warm.

We got ready and left for the Ball at 4:30.  It was at Horizon’s and was very nice.  There weren’t as many there as usual, but there was one Marine that had been the oldest in Saginaw that passed away this morning, and there was another girl Marine that passed away.

Brad and Jen sat with us and so did Cassie and Jeff.  We had fun sitting together and talking.
It was a fun night and the food was super amazing!  They had a DJ, but I wasn’t doing any dancing tonight.  Nobody at our table did any dancing.  We all left after the music started.  Tomorrow is a busy but fun day, going all over getting Bill’s freebies.  We always look forward to this day.

We FaceTimed with Kenzie and Rehvyn on our drive home.  Rehvyn was really talking and saying our names really clear.  He was eating a banana and then ate a pickle after that.
