Emergency vehicles and Firetruck on our road

WNEM-TV5's picture.  We had just pulled through the corner and saw their white TV5 Vehicle

We both had a fruit plate at Bob Evans
Did laundry in the morning and got it caught up.  Went to get rugs at Bed, Bath and Beyond that Melissa told me about.  They stop dirt, moisture, etc from being tracked in the house.  She had one in her camper and it worked great.  I'm loving them already.  I picked up a Hot and Ready Pizza and Bread sticks to take to Melissa's for the kids, and then Melissa and I went to Tony's for lunch to catch up.  Haven't seen her for almost 2 weeks.  We had breakfast and had a nice visit while we ate.  I went to get some groceries at Aldi's after that.  Got the groceries put away and relaxed listening to worship music for a while when Bill came in and asked if I saw the firetruck go by.  He had been on the lawn tractor and there was an explosion next door in the field.  It almost knocked him off the tractor and scared him.  I went outside and looked and there were more emergency vehicles parked on the road just down from us.  Bill had me unhook the ties on the pool, because he was going to use the little mower to mow around it.  While he was doing that the police came and told him not to use any equipment outside.  They told him we should stay in the house, and if there's another explosion, it would blow the windows out of our house. There was a company putting in drainage in the field and they hit an 8 inch gas pipe.  Chuck and then Wes called us to see if we were ok because they got a notice on their phones about it.  We left and went to Bob Evans to eat dinner.  When we left, they were blocking off our road both ways.  TV5 was just getting here.  We loved the fruit plate with chicken salad in the middle.  When we tried to go home they wouldn't let us even though Bill told them we were the first house down there.  We drove to the other end and couldn't get through, so went to Menard's.  Walked around their for a while.  Vikki and Melissa offered for us to come stay with them.  We went back and talked to our Neighbor who was parked across down by where the road was blocked.  Then we drove back to Tittabawasse and Hacket and the guy wasn't there anymore, but had put up Road Closed Barricades.  There was room to squeeze through, but we though we'd better made sure we could.  We talked to the fire chief at the other end of Hackett and he told us we could drive though the other end to our house, but he didn't want to set a precedent.  We got home and in a couple of hours, saw all the emergency vehicles leave.  Out neighbor, Sandy, came at 10 and asked if we heard anything.  One blessing today, was that Bill called Chase, our neighbor behind us, to see how much we owed him for re asphalting our driveway back by the shed.  He said they had it covered because he got a great deal and our area didn't cost any extra, so he said he wouldn't take any money.
They sure are nice neighbors.
