Loved seeing antelope in Yellowstone |
Nice seeing lots of buffalo too. Max loved seeing all of the animals. |
This sign was posted at the beginning of the path. It told about people who had went off the path and gotten scalded and died. Needless to say, we stayed on the path |
Max loved Mammoth Hot Springs which is an old volcano. He always loved volcanos when he was little |
Bill and Max...the water flowing down the rocks behind them was so beautiful and sounded so nice |

Bear we saw in Yellowstone. We were so happy that Max got to see him after he missed the one we saw in the U.P. |

Ate breakfast at the hotel and then headed to Yellowstone National Park. We drove on the Bear Tooth Highway, and it was absolutely beautiful! Max was super excited about everything today. Me too! The Rocky Mountains amazing! We were up 10,294 feet. The roads were winding, and we were on the edge of the mountain driving. We pulled off at several lookouts. One was a big one with a long walkway. Got lots of nice pictures, and we saw 3 chipmunks. One came up to Max’s hand and touched it. He got a great video of that chipmunk. We stopped at National Forest Wilderness to walk on snow on the mountain. Max got to the snow fast. I was walking ahead of Bill, and noticed it was a little hard to breathe. He told me he didn't know if he was going to make it, which made me nervous. He made it though. I went on the snow, but didn't walk across it. They both did and went right to the peak of the mountain. It was weird because I had a sleeveless top on and wasn’t cold at all. We all had sandals on too. Max said his feet were cold after walking in the snow. Next we went to Mammoth Hot Springs. It was amazing! After reading the sign I took a picture of, we all stayed on the walkway. Steam was coming off the water, but doesn’t show in the picture. We went to The Bistro Cafe Restaurant in Cooke afterward. Max and Bill got hamburgers and I got a Swiss mushroom burger. They were the best burgers ever! We all swam when we got back to the hotel.
