10/25/15 Cole's first time at New Life.

Kenzie looked absolutely beautiful and Cole looked very handsome at church this morning!  It was Cole's first time at New Life.  He said he really liked it.  It was sweet because Bill and I were praying for someone and Cole wanted to talk to us, especially Bill for a while before they left so they came up front and waited for us to get done.

We were surprised to have a hot tub in our free room!  It's bigger than what it looks in the picture!

Our room

Not many in the pool.  We sure enjoyed our time in it and relaxing by it

Forgot our selfie stick in our room, but decided to take one without it.
Selfie stick time now.  Waiting to get into an Italian Restaurant.  Compfy couch to wait on.
Bill waiting for his spaghetti in this really nice Italian restaurant.

Blessed to be able to pray for Ann Fowler.  She's in her 80's and is the founder of His Restoration.  Such a dear lady and friend.

We met at His Restoration this morning at 10.  We had a good turnout from both care groups.
Ladies did the inside and guys did the outside stuff.  It didn't take long with so many of us.  Afterward we met at G's for pizza and fellowship.  We had a really good time.  Came home and watched the movie, A Horse for Summer.  Packed for our trip to Mt. Pleasant tomorrow.  Can't wait.

                         Kimmy fixed my angel today
Peyton and Isaac playing
Kimmy, Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came to spend the day.  Kimmy fixed the holes in my angel Aunt Debbie got us for grandma's funeral.  Bill had hit it with the lawn mower and it had two big holes.  It looks great and I just have to paint it and I can put it back out.  YAY!  Thank you Kimmy.  She also sewed a shirt for Melissa and Sewed Vikki's sweatshirt.  What would we do without our Kimmy?
After the girls left, we ate and went to Bay City to Jim Jonroe's mom's showing at the funeral home.  She passed away unexpectedly.  On our way home we heard that Dennis Ward and Amy in our Bible Study were in a car accident.  Amy was unconscious for a while, her friend Cherl probably has a broken rib.  Both cars were totaled.  Please pray for all of them and for those in the other car.

10/22/15

Happy to be getting off onto our exit.  Lots of Detroit traffic so many slow downs.  It was 8:20 a.m. and our appointment was at 8:30.

Arriving at the VA Hospital

Always love walking through Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills.  You know what that means!

Yummy cinnabons!

Such a nice time here

Saw our friend at the Rainforest Cafe.
We got up at 4:30 and got ready to go to Bill's appt. in Detroit.  On the road by 6.  Stopped at Tim Hortons for a french vanilla cap. and banana nut muffins.  We got caught in lots of traffic slowdowns, but made it just in time to his appointment.  Got right into the doctor and saw the physician's assistant first, then Dr. PJ second.  That's what the nurse told us they call him as we always have a hard time remembering his name, Pierre Jacques.   No trouble remembering PJ ha ha.  We really liked both of them.  They were caring and seem to have lots of wisdom.  Bill has to have blood work since the dr. saw a spot where the bone looked like it was deteriorating.  He said it could be infection.  If so they will have to do surgery, put a spacer in, wait two months for the antibiotic to clear the infection up, then they will have to do knee replacement surgery again.  We sure are praying there's no infection and for healing of the pain in his knee.  He got in right away in Xray.  Then we walked through the VA store and looked around.  Headed for the lab next.  It was very busy, but time passed quickly.  A guy asked if he could sit in the chair next to me so I told him ok.  We started talking and he told me he was a miracle and he shouldn't have made it two years ago.  I told him we had lots of miracles in our family too.  He told me he was autistic also.  I told him he was pretty outgoing for being autistic and he said he put phones in for people so he had to learn to be outgoing.  He was talking to everyone around him.  I asked him if he believed in Jesus as his savior.  He said their were many good teachers.
I told him the Bible says there is only one way to get to heaven and it was by believing in Jesus as your savior.  He said when he sees Jehovah Witnesses he always thanks them for their time and effort.  Maybe that is what he was.  We had to leave shortly after that.  Praying for him now.  We left and decided to go to Great Lakes Crossing.  Had a nice time walking through there and enjoyed their cinnabons.  YUMMY!!!  Picked some up to surprise Vikki as we know how much she loves them and we knew we would be going right by her house.  She was pretty happy which made us happy.    We stopped in Bridgeport to eat at a Cracker Barrel too.  More Yummy food.  When we got home Bill burned the stuff in the garden  and I balanced the checkbook.

10/20/15 Jack gets out of the hospital

Yay, Jack gets to come home from the hospital!

Bill worked hard burning stuff in the garden and blowing off the deck.  Also trimmed more off the apple tree.

I got up at 5:45 so I could get ready before I had to get the boys up.  Got them up and made pancakes for breakfast.  Evan didn't eat because he wanted to eat at the restaurant at our breakfast group.  Took Max to school, stopped at Vikki's to pick up the wreath Misty made for Debbie, and then headed over to Sullivan's.  Evan had a big pancake and ate almost all of it.  I didn't eat because I was meeting Debbie at 9:30 at Bob Evans.  Left Evan with Bill at Sullivan's and then I headed to meet Debbie.  She was already at a table.  We had a nice visit and a yummy breakfast.  Afterwards, I gave her the wreath which she loved.  She followed me over to the hospital so she could visit with Jack before she went to work.  Bill and Evan were at the hospital.  We all prayed for Debbie as they found a spot on her stomach they tested and also her leg is painful.  After she left and Bill left, I was going to leave but as I walked out to the hall I heard the nurse say Jack was going home.  I waited till she was off the phone and asked her if Jack was going home soon.  She said as soon as they got the papers ready.  Only took about15 minutes and I headed down to get Melissa's van and pull it up to pick them up.  Went back in to get Jack a popcorn.  He saw it in the lobby and wanted one.  Melissa followed me to her subdivision and then I headed home.  Bill was busy working in the yard.  It looked so nice.  We had a good turn out for care group an a great lesson.  Dennis brought yummy apple pumpkin sparkling juice that was delicious.  He also brought a wonderful carmel dessert and also a veggie tray and pumpkin cheese spread.  Lots of good testimonies in care group and we prayed for Derek and Emily's upcoming wedding Nov 7.

10/19/15

Love this sister picture of Kenzie and Peyton.

Took Evan up to visit Jack in the hospital.  Happy Jack is feeling good and is happy!

Picked Max up from school and took him up to see Jack.  He was so happy to be able to go see his brother.

Love this picture of these sweet boys!
Packed some things in my backpack to take to Melissa that she needed plus some surprises.  Also stopped and got her deodorant and a stuffed animal. Turns out that she meant to pick up a stuffed animal from the store for them to give Jack ha ha.  I brought one from Hailey's room for Melissa to cuddle.  When she was in the hospital she always had to have Max (her stuffed dog) to cuddle.  I thought she needed one to cuddle while sleeping in the lounge chair.  Silly me.  I went up to the hospital and left the backpack with Melissa.  Visited till it was time to pick Evan up from school.  After school I stopped at Vikki's to take Rody to get her car from the ER as she couldn't drive home the night before.  I showed Evan the hospital Jack was in and he started asking lots of questions and then wanted to know if he could go see him.  I called Melissa to find out and when Bruce asked they said yes.  We went to the gift shop and he picked out something for Jack.  He told the gift shop lady that he wasn't hurt.  Talked to her a lot and told her about his brother.  Everyone we saw in the hall after that and in the elevator, he told them he wasn't hurt.  Guess he didn't want to stay in the hospital.
We went back to my house after that and he watched curious George. Dad watched him while I picked Max up from school.  Hailey went with Ally and spent the night at her house.  Max wanted to go see Jack so we went up and visited him.  They were happy to see each other.  After that we went home and Max got his homework out right away and got at it.  Didn't take him long.  Evan was excited that he got to ride the tractor and pick up leaves with Papa.  The boys spent the night.  I was blessed to find one pull up and came up with stuff that had been Kenzie's for them to sleep in.  I should have taken a picture.  They were very good and went to bed really good too.

Jacob, Adam, Jack and Eli had fun on the trampoline.  Little did we know that Jack would be going to the hospital that day because he fell Friday and hit his head on the fireplace, then yesterday and today fluid was coming out of his ear.  The dr. wanted them to go to ER to have it checked out.

Papa and the boys made a big pile of leaves and these kiddos loved playing in them
