I got up and made rolls right away.  I decided to make them smaller so there would be more.  So funny because they looked the same size as usual but I got 27 rolls instead of 20 out of two batches like I normally do.  I picked up some cider take tonight too.  Left to got to the store to get foam cups for Bruce and then got to their house at 5:30.  Took pics of all the kids in their costumes.  They left to go trick or treating and I stayed to pass out candy.  It was cool and rainy but they had fun any way.  Nice to have Crystal and Celeste join us.   Good chili with cheese, sour cream, chives, and fritos.  So nice of Bruce and Melissa to have us all over.  A big thank you to both of you.

10/30/15 Fun celebrating Matthew's 25 Birthday at Pizza Hut

Adam, Matthew, Jacob and Eli

Kimmy, Vikki, Peyton, and Isaac came to spend the day.  Kimmy finished my angel Debbie got me for my Mom's funeral.  It looks great!  Then she worked on my microwave because the top of it was peeling on the inside.  She sanded it and sprayed it.  Looks great now and I can start using it at 8 am in the morning.  Yay!  It was nice celebrating Matthew's birthday with him.  Melissa and Bruce couldn't make it because Hailey won Hockey tickets again so they had to go there.

10/29/15 Went to church to do my Sunday School lesson

After I got up and got ready and spent time with the Lord, I went to church to do my Sunday School lesson.  After that I went to Ollie's and got coffee pods (80 for $24) Great deal.    Then I went to Kroger's to get some things I needed.   I was excited when I heard Vikki calling me.  She was shopping for a few things too.  After that I dropped Milk off at Melissa's.  I was happy to see her and Evan and visit a few minutes.  Melissa had shampooed her carpets and they look like new.  Looked through a Yankee Candle catalog as Max and Hailey are selling out of.  Should have taken a picture of Evan while I was there.  Came home and had some homemade veggie soup.  Bill had a counselor appt. in the morning and a chiropractor appt. in the afternoon.  Both went well.  Kenzie came over after school was out for a few minutes.  I was happy to see her.  Should have taken a picture of her.   Later, Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over for a few minutes.  I was happy to see them too.  I should have taken a picture of Peyton and Isaac.  Sure sounds like I missed the boat as far as pictures for the day went.  At 6:05 we picked up Elaine and headed to the Rescue Mission.  We took the Movie "Facing the Giants' with us to show.  I made 20 bags of popcorn to pass out and Wes and Gayla brought a big container of orange drink McDonald's donated.  We had 22 from the Rescue Mission show up and there were 11 Faith Riders.  Loraine was bringing popcorn too, but it was time for the movie to start and she still wasn't there.  At that time there were exactly 20 guys there and I had made more than she told me and had made 20 bags.  Lorraine got there about 15 min. later and 2 more guys came in, so had enough for them and also us Faith Riders got to have some too.   Everyone loved the movie and had a nice time.  One guy says he's never gotten chocked up by a movie, but he did this one.  Many nice comments.  Wes leaves tomorrow for his mission trip to Belize.  Please keep him in prayer.  Very excited for him as he's wanted to do this for a long time.

10/28/15 Went to Frankenmuth with Kimmy and Vikki so they could get their free birthday meal from Zhenders. So much fun.

Me, Vikki and Kimmy at Zehnder's.  They were enjoying their yummy birthday ice cream

Got up and made vegetable soup.  Took my shower and did my hair.  Kimmy came over and visited.  We looked at some old pictures while she was here.  We called Vikki to see if she was up and she was.  Then we got ready and went to her house to pick her up to go to Frankenmuth so they could get their free birthday dinners.  We spent some time with Peyton and Isaac and then Rody watched them so we could head out.  We went to get their cards before we ate.  They each had family style white meat chicken dinner.  The waitress was really nice and brought me a plate to share in their appetizers.....cottage cheese, liver pate' and garlic toast, cranberries, cole slaw, stolin bread.  Very yummy.  I ordered a hot chicken sandwich. It came with mashed potatoes and dressing.  It was very good but I could only eat half.  Took the other half home.  The waitress brought dark meat by mistake to Kimmy and Vikki so she didn't charge us the $3 for white meat.  She told them to just take it home.  She brought more white meat, and they ate till they were really full and then got to take lots of left overs home.  We texted Aunt Debbie to see if she was working. She was so we left and headed to Bronners. The ladies at the courtesy desk said Debbie had gone to lunch.  The girls got their free ornaments for their birthdays (they were really pretty) and then Aunt Debbie came out.  We didn't have much time but visited for a few minutes.  Then we went to look at the clarinet ornaments.  Very cute.  We are going to go back when we have more time.  Dropped Vikki home and then came home because Kimmy had to leave.  She made a coffee and then took off.  I took a nice nap.  I looked through my pictures to find pictures of Lori as her mom had asked on Facebook to post pics to Lori's page for the funeral video.  Still so sad about Lori dying.  Sure am going to miss our visits.  She was one sweet friend I will always treasure. Bill and I watched a movie.

10/27/15

Hailey, Abby, Jack, Max and Evan

Adam and Eli at Jacob's concert

Jacob playing the clarinet at his band concert

Jacob and the rest of his class did great and sounded so good.

Eli, Jacob and Adam after Jacob's concert.

Bill had an evaluation appt. in Detroit for the VA today.  Charlie went with him because I didn't want to take a chance on missing Jacob's first band concert.  His appt. went well.  I cleaned out a drawer and updated some small picture books of the grandkids.  Then at 2:20 I went to Melissa's to watch Evan.  I drove the truck as dad had the car.  Visited with Melissa for a few minutes and prayed for her about Jack's dr. appt. she was going to.  At 2:40, Evan and I left to go pick up Hailey and Max from school.  I was so excited to see them.  On our way home, we stopped at Vikki's to pick Mocha up and drop some stuff off to Vikki.  Isaac and Peyton helped her so much watching Mocha and letting her in and out for Vikki.  Wish I would have taken a pic of them while I was there.  Sure am thankful for the good care they give Mocha.  Mocha likes it there as well as at home.  Then I asked the kids if they wanted to stop at Tim Horton's.  It was a unanimous YES.  We went there and all picked out a donut and a drink.  Evan didn't want a drink.  We saw Louise and her friends there which was nice.  Took a donut home to Melissa and Jack.  They were home when we got there. I left and dad got home shortly after I was home.  Was happy to have him home to go to Jacob's concert with me.  Right before we left, Gayla called me and I could tell she was crying.  It scared me so I asked what was wrong.  She told me Lori died.  I was so sad to hear this.  Lori was so sweet, kind and so giving.  She never complained no matter what she was going through.  She was very talented and loved making things for people.  She had a port put in last week and couldn't have dialysis after having it in.  Then least night we got a message saying she had a blockage in her neck and was having emergency surgery so to please pray.  Then today she got a blood clot which went to her brain so she passed away.  Such a loss for us but a gain for heaven.  Will miss her so much.  On the 18th we were celebrating Kimmy and Vikki's birthday at our house and Lori came to pick up two free tickets we gave to her and her mom for the Newsong Concert on Sunday night.  She came to pick up the tickets.  That was the last time I saw her.  She was happy and looked good.  She gave me a rose her mom picked for me from their rosebush.  I admired them and smelled them when I dropped Lori off at her house last week.  It was a rose bud and all week I watched it open.  It died the same day as Lori.  We left for the concert.   We were excited to see the boys at the concert.  The concert was so nice.  Jacob looked handsome and played his clarinet so nicely. His 5th grade group sounded so nice.  So did all of the other classes and the high school marching band was amazing.  Really enjoyed this.  Walked out with Kimmy and Jared and we were parked really close together which was nice because we had a bushel of apples to give to them.  On the way home Bill asked if I anything from McDonalds.  The line at the McDonalds by Jacob's school was too long so we didn't stop.  Bill stopped in Freehand instead and we got hot fudge sundaes.  They were yummy.

This was the view out of our 4th floor room window this morning.  It was so beautiful.  I don't see anyone in the outdoor hot tub.

We went for a ride and the color was gorgeous!

Love how Jacob played his song for us.  He is doing so good!

Went to Shopko in Gladwin and got a new water bottle.  Yay, I have missed mine that flew out of the motorcycle.  So happy to have another one.  I drink so much more water when I have this.

We slept in this morning.  I slept until 8:30 which seemed so nice because usually when we stay in a hotel I am up at 6:30 to get ready for a continental breakfast or meet another couple.  The bed was so comfy and pillows were great.  Took a wonderful shower and got ready.  We had time to relax and read our Bibles and check our phones before checking out.  Went to Bob Evans for breakfast.  Had Pancakes with blueberry topping, ham and coffee.  Took a ride through town and then down a country road and saw beautiful color.  Next we headed to the Shopko in Gladden to see if they had my Thermos water bottle on sale.  Yay, they did.  On the way home we stopped at Kimmy's.  Had a nice time visiting with her.  Took a walk to see her Kale.  Fed some to the chickens and then went and checked the strawberries and raspberries.  The chickens started hopping in to peck at the berries so we shooed them out.  We found a couple of raspberries to eat.  Yum!  The boys were happy to see me when they got off the bus and happy to see Papa when they got in the house.  Loved how excited they were and how they were so excited to tell Kimmy about their day.  Great boys!  Jacob played a couple of songs on his clarinet.  I was amazed at how good he plays already.  Got big hugs and headed for home.  Bill had an elder's meeting at 6:30.  Prayed for him before he left and then spent time in prayer for Pastor and all of the elders.  All of us elder's wives were praying at home.
Watched a movie while waiting for Bill to get home.
