Went to church.  Danielle and her husband came today.  So nice having them there.  I taught Sunday School this morning.  After church, we went home and changed and then at 2pm went to meet Faith Rider people at the courthouse to pray for our government and nation.  Bill led the prayers. They were amazing prayers.  We had 12 show up which was very nice since it was cold and windy out.  Kevin and Vicky Beemer came to which was very nice.  We went to a church, a school and then to G's for pizza and fellowship.  Afterward, I picked up Peyton and Isaac from Melissa's as Vikki was helping Debbie clean and move Matt's room downstairs.  Peyton, Isaac and I had fun playing and then watching a movie.  They were so cute and are so smart.  We read the pop up Bible which they love.  When it came time to go to bed, we went upstairs and they saw a fly.  Peyton started crying hard and the Isaac started.  They started heading downstairs crying till I could kill the fly.  I killed it and showed them and then wouldn't you know it, they saw a moth downstairs.  Here we went again.....I killed it too and showed them the body.  Peyton wanted me to lay down with them while they went to sleep.  I prayed with them and then Isaac started in praying the nicest prayer.  So sweet.  It was all of 2 minutes and they were both sleeping and slept the whole night.

When I picked up Mocha, Peyton was so tired she didn't even move

Isaac sure drove his remote car well

Got up early and got ready to head to Holland for Shani's baby shower.  It had snowed a little so the roads were a little slick, but not horrible.  I picked up a mocha for Melissa and a French vanilla cappuccino for me and each a sour cream glazed doughnut.  We ate on the way.  We stopped for egg muffins at McDonald's drive through and then kept going.  We were happy we had the gps.  I was thankful Melissa went with me and made the trip so much fun plus helped me by looking at the gps map.  We stopped at Edmore which is half way and went to the bathroom and picked out candy bars for later.  When we left the gas station, I saw a snow plow coming down the road so I stayed a ways back from the road.  Well when it went by, it threw so much ice and snow at the car it sounded like we got hit by something big.  Melissa thought we got hit by a car but she didn't feel us move.  She didn't she the plow coming.  I thought maybe there would be a lot of dents in the side of the car, but praise God there weren't. We got to Holland about 1 3/4 hrs. early so drove and looked at the restaurant, then went to Goodwill, Sam's Club and then Burger King for pop and ice tea.  We got to the restaurant about 5 minutes before the shower started. It was so nice seeing all of Vikki's family.  Vikki told us to sit wherever we wanted so we picked a table with no one at it.  A few minutes later, Ava and Claire said they wanted to sit at the table we were at so Shani, Rob, Shane, Kelly, another nice friend of Shani's (Angie) and the girls sat at our table with us.  We had so much fun.  They had a yummy salad, red potatoes, string beans and carrots, chicken and sirloin tips and mushrooms for dinner.  It was very delicious.  They had great rolls too.  Melissa won a Tim Horton's Card and I won a Target gift card.   Then I won the grand prize too. (a couple of pretty dishtowels, two bamboo cutting boards, two pretty turquoise spatula's that hang from the bowl so you don't get the cupboard messy)
Claire and Ava were so sweet and very good helpers passing out gifts, collecting candy dishes, helping Shani with her gifts when she opened them, and passing out cake.  We visited for a while after we ate out cakes and then left for home.  It was nice and sunny and the roads were clear all the way home.  We stopped at Edmore again, same place, and used the bathroom.  Got to Melissa's house and Bruce and the kids were just leaving to take Hailey to work on her school assignment.  She got out of my car and went to get in the van because Bruce stopped in the road and Bruce took off a little ways...said he knew Melissa needed the steps ha ha)  Went to Vikki's to get Mocha.  Peyton and Isaac were tired...Peyton was sleeping on the couch.  Isaac did perk up and use his remote car.  Got home and called Kimmy to tell her about the shower and also let her know I found the lights she wanted for the boys at a great deal.    Thanks, Melissa for going with me.  You are so much fun to hang out with!

3/4/16...Kimmy and Vikki came over again YAY

Lenny got tired of walking in Lowes and just wanted to sleep.  Silly Dog

Two Cuties and a cart

Isaac and Peyton were so good in the store.  They started getting tired after walking a lot.

Nana and Peyton's selfie

Of course my sweet Peyton had to take a selfie of herself...she took about 6 ha ha

Got up at 5:30 this morning so I could go walk at the Sports zone.  Walked with day for a while when I got there.  When he quit to play cards, I walked by myself, then walked with my mom and dad's old neighbor, Dave.  Then walked by myself again so I could walk real fast again.  Walked 4 and 1/3 miles and then went down to see Bill and Charlie and then left.  Kimmy got to my house shortly after I got home.  Vikki came shortly after her.  Kimmy brushed Mocha for me.  Her fur is so soft and she smells so good since they gave her that bath yesterday.  We decided we would go walk around PetsMart and Lowe's so Lenny could walk with us.  He was so good and so many people stopped to pet him and comment on him.  One person even took a picture of him.  I dropped Kimmy off at Lowe's so she could walk with Vikki and then I went to Office Max to get a black ink cartridge for our printer.  Also went to the Christian Book Store to get the Book Love and Respect for Katelyn and Rocco.   Picked up a Jesus Loves Me baby bunny blanket for Shannon's shower.  Went back to Lowe's and found the girls and kids and walked around with them.  Got lots more steps.  Filled car up on my way home for the ride to Holland for Shannon's shower tomorrow.  So glad Melissa is going with me.  Made grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and we ate the rest of the salad and chicken.  Kathleen and Rocco were supposed to come for counseling at 5 but called to say it would be 5:30.  I baked an apple pie from the Rescue Mission sale and went to pick up 2 pizzas from G's.  They got here and we ate and then spent time counseling them.  Bill was really good at asking them questions and went really well. Very nice couple who want to get closer to God and serve Him.  I was going to take Mocha to Vikki's, but when I called her she said Melissa was at Sportszone and was going to take Evan to her house when they left.  I called Melissa and she said they would pick Mocha up for me and take her too.  That was such a help to me.  Thank you, Melissa.  They stopped to get her and Jack, Hailey and Evan came in.  My storm door must have been pretty clean because Jack ran smack into it.  Ouch his pour nose  Evan hurt his leg getting out of the van so needed a bandaid.  Hailey was doing great though.  She was so happy because she got to do gymnastics and had so much fun.  She looked cute with her new haircut.  Jessica Franz did it.

3/3/16.....Kimmy and Vikki came over.....I went to Max and Jack's spelling Bee

Mocha looks so cute after her bath and Haircut!  Thank you Kimmy.  Thank you, Vikki for blow drying her.  I appreciate you girls doing that for me.

Kimmy came this morning.  She looked on line and fixed the trigger on my shampooer.  She even drilled holes....she is amazing.  It works great again.  Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over too.  They brought Lennox and he sure was a good puppy.  No accidents!  Vikki made a toy for him and fell asleep right next to it.  Kimmy gave Mocha a nice hair cut and trimmed her nails.  Then she fixed my remote key for my car.  She saw a screw was missing so she tried a lot of screws and found one that fit but was too long.  It seemed to work otherwise.  We had salad with chicken on it for lunch.  I had to leave at 1 to go to Max and Jack's Spelling Bee.  I was glad I was there.  They did good and it's such a great experience for them to get up in front of all those people.  I was one proud nana.
I decided to go to the mall when I was finished.  I walked from Penney's to Sears and then back to Penney's where I had parked.  When I got in my car, I noticed the inside of my remote key missing. The screw was still in there but the insides had fallen out.  Well of course the key didn't work with the inside remote missing.  I tried to call Bill but no answer. Then I tried to call Vikki, but no answer.  I finally got Bill and he said he would head to the Mall with his key.  I went back in the mall and walked as fast as I could backtracking where I was.  I thought maybe it fell out in the bathroom at Sears because that's the only place I had taken the keys out of my coat pocket and put them in my purse pocket so they wouldn't fall in the toilet.  Well when I got back there I didn't find them.  Went all the way back to Penney's and still didn't find them.  I called Melissa and asked her to pray.  I went out to my car and looked underneath it but didn't find it.  Then I started looking all over the car and found it between the seat and the middle of the car.  I was so happy and thankful.
Bill got there right after and gave me his key since mine wouldn't work because the part wouldn't stay in.  I sure got my steps.  Came home and fixed a salad and chicken sandwich.  At 6:30 we left to go to Bill and Sabrina's for our Officer's meeting for Faith Riders.  Didn't get home till 10:30.

3/1/16....Big snow storm...got 11 inches at least

Bill with his new granddoggie

All of the schools around were cancelled.  Storm Warnings predict 7-10 inches of snow and high winds.  We went to breakfast.  Had to drive separate because Bill had a followup with his urologist.  That went well.  It was pretty slippery on my way home so was happy to hibernate for the rest of the day. It started snowing in the morning around 7 and continued all day and night.  We got 11 inches at least.  Bill snowblower our driveway in the snow and wind and then rested for a while and went to do His Restoration's driveway and sidewalks.  While he was there he noticed the guy across the road standing outside for quite a while.  Well when the guy left, he backed into Bill's truck and dented the bumper.  Bill yelled at him to stop, but he just kept going.  He tried calling the police, but didn't get any answer, so called me to have me call them.  I called 911 and talked to a very nice officer.  He asked me some information and then said he would call Bill for more info and then send an officer over.  Well dad was finishing the driveway so didn't hear his phone so the officer left a message for him to just go to the city police dept. tomorrow and file a report.  I was so happy when Bill got home safely as the roads were terrible and visibility wasn't good either.

3/2/16....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SWEETIE ELI! HAVE FUN ON YOUR 6TH BIRTHDAY. Day after the big snowstorm so lots of clean up to do

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELI!  NANA LOVES YOU!

Lenny and Olive relaxing together
We woke up to a beautiful snowy yard.  The birds were happy I had food out for them.  Spent time in the Word and worshipping, then got ready and went out to shovel the decks and shovel where Mocha goes out.  Bill went to His Restoration and snowblower their driveway and sidewalks.  When I got done, I came in and got chicken going in the crockpot. Rested and watched Price is Right and the news.  Headed over to Sports Zone and walked 3 fast miles.  After that I went and got groceries and the gift card for Shannon's shower.  Came home and put groceries away and made potatoes and peas to go with the chicken. My class was cancelled for tonight because of bad roads so stayed home and watched a movie with Bill.  Thanks, Vikki, for taking some great pics.  I borrowed them as you can see.
