Put jars and lids in the dishwasher to get them clean for canning.  Did some laundry, then went to Aldi to get a few groceries for our camping trip.  Went to Melissa's to take her some shampoo and cream rinse and trade her for the kind she has.  Then went to Meijer to take pop cans back.  Boo Hoo, I sure missed my Hailey girl.  She always helps me return my cans.  Right after I started putting cans in, it printed out a receipt.  Then it said the machine was full and was being emptied.  The other 4 machines by me said the same thing and two other ladies were waiting like me.  A new person had come in and she was just putting all of her cans in her machine.  We finally hunted someone down to empty the bins.  I started putting cans in again and two more receipts came out.  I put one more bag of cans and bottles in and my hands were so sticky, I couldn't wait to wash them.  I picked a couple of things, and got Bill's kind of water, and also a big pack of water bottles.  I got home, and I noticed I had the three receipts for the pop cans in my pocket.  I was bummed because I had to drive back to Meijer.  Then I remembered, I didn't get my 4th receipt for the cans.  I decided to call and see if anyone had turned it in, even though I didn't think that would be the case.  The girl asked me how much it was for, and I told her I didn't know, but I did have my receipt number and told her what it was.  Someone had turned it in and she had it at the service desk.  I thanked her and said how nice it was that someone would turn it in.  I headed right over to get it, and gave her the other receipts.  She gave me all the money for them.  I thanked her again and said how nice it was that someone would turn it in.   She told me it was a worker who turned it in.  They sure have some honest people there.  I sure thanked God, because I prayed when I realized I forgot to get the printed receipt.  When I got home for the second time, I watered all the places we put grass seed down.  Next I picked some tomatoes, and then picked beets.  I canned pickled beets, and then froze the rest.  Beets are sure messy or is it me?  Bill wasn't hungry yet and decided to eat after he goes to Jack's soccer game.  I cleaned up the messy kitchen, then ate swiss steak and potatoes.  It was so good.  I didn't eat lunch so I over ate.  I left to pick up Isaac for the concert.  I sure was happy he went with me.  We loved it.  The guys in the group had amazing voice and sounded so good.  They sang some hymns and some contemporary Christian music. They did a song called, Stand, too.  It was a song that honors veterans, first responders, policeman, fireman etc.  We all stood and showed our respect.  It was an amazing song.  They take Patriotic Bibles and their CD's and give them to veterans in the hospitals across the nation. They also visit them and sing for them.  The lead person, had such a great sense of humor.  I laughed so much and so did Isaac.  What a fun night!  I came home and Bill had eaten.  Very busy but fun day!  I texted with Adam to see how he was feeling.  He was having trouble remembering today in school.  I sure am praying for him.  I am praying for our friend, Joel, too.  Wes and Gayla took him to the ER Sunday night because he had a temp of 104 degrees and some trouble breathing.  Last night he was stable the doctor said when he called.  Gayla could be in the ER with him because he's handicapped, but once they admitted him, no one could be with him.  How awful for all of them.  He was supposed to come home today sometime.

Monday, 9/12/22, Happy Birthday to my dad in heaven! Thought of him lots today. Adam got hit by the soccer ball at his game tonight. Happy he is ok.

Grass seed down in some bare spots in the yard

Sunflower seeds are ready.  This one fell.  I will be picking the rest next week.
Bill was backing the 5th wheel in the driveway, so I took this picture while I was waiting.  I love how the flag looks.
Peyton looks so beautiful with her hair natural

Woke up early and started thanking and praising God.  Prayed for my family.  Cleaned shelves in the basement and organized  them .  Then Bill and I moved all the canned tomatoes downstairs.  It looks so nice having them on the shelf.  Vacuumed downstairs rooms and organized the shelves for shoes and other things in my closet!  Went to Costco and got gas, then got a few groceries.

Bill mowed the lawn and picked up the grass while i raked, put mulch with grass seed in it down and watered it.  I ran out halfway around the tree, so will pick more up.

We picked up the camper because they have the new gear box in.  They still have  a part coming in, but said it’s fine to take to Indiana.  Yay!  Will be busy loading it now.

When we got home, Bill ate his left over's from Coco Loco and then we went to get more grass seed.  We got three big bags because he needs to do back where he took the trees out.  We both worked on seeding around the rest of the tree and some other spots, then he did where the trees were taken out.  I watered everything before the sun completely set, while he went in and worked on typing up the funeral he is doing tomorrow for a friend whose mom died.  I looked it over when I got in and corrected any typos.

I found out my best friend, Vikki, is having a hip replacement on Oct. 18.  I told her that is no way to celebrate Kimmy and Vikki's birthday lol.  I was glad she let me know right away so I can be praying.

Adam got hit in the face tonight by a flying soccer ball that was kicked by a goalie. Ouch!  It knocked him right over.  He can't remember anything from this morning.  His coach told him he never seen someone get hit by the ball like that stand up an not be all bloody.  Thanking God!  It could have been much worse.  I called to check on him to see how he was doing.  He had a headache, but was doing good. I sure am praying for my sweet Adam.  I am excited that I can go watch him play in a game on Wednesday.  Yay!  I have to get all of my stuff done for our camping trip and can some pickled beets, but will be motivated to get it done quickly now.  I'm washing my jars in the dishwasher now.

Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, Never will forget 9/11/01, Sad day...praying for all who's lives were affected by this terrible attack, Matthew got baptized and made a confession of his faith in Jesus!!! Happy Anniversary to our Best Friends,

Our good friend Joaquin and his dog Rookie helping in the search and rescue after 9-11.
Happy Anniversary Vikki and Terry!  We love you!

Our nephew, Matthew, doing a confession of his faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior

Pastor Joe baptizing Matthew
We all love Matthew and were so touched by his baptism today.
Matthew and his pastor!  Wonderful picture behind them!

We went to drop off some pictures and information for Max about Bill's grandpa that came  on a boat from Germany to live here in America.  I took this picture of Jack while I was there.  Such a handsome and sweet grandson!

I'm always sad when I remember 9-11.  So many lives lost, injuries, hurting families and hurting America.  God got us through.  We will never forget!

I wished my BFF and her husband Happy Anniversary.  We are so thankful we have them in our lives and that they are "family" in our hearts.

We went to Matthew's church today to see him get baptized.  We were behind this fast moving van on our way there.  I called Kimmy to see if that was Jared speeding ahead of us and she said it was lol.  Jacob was with them, and Vikki brought Peyton, Isaac, Adam and Eli.  We all sat together in a row close to the front.  Debbie was there when we got there and Tom came in afterwards, and they sat next to Matthew.  The worship was really good.  The service was amazing and the Truth of the Word of God was preached.   It's always good to know the Word of God yourself, because now days, some churches preach what they want rather than sticking to God's Word and what it says.  So thankful Matthew is in a good church.  He gave a great testimony on Video and that had us crying.  Then he gave his confession of faith and his pastor baptized him.  More tears of joy!  We all congratulated Matthew and took some pictures.  Afterwards, Debbie and Tom treated us at Tim Hortons.  So nice to celebrate Matthew's special day with him and family.

Bill and I went to Coco Loco's to eat and took a picture to send Hailey and let her know how much we missed having her there with us.  We used to take her there with us when she was home.  It wasn't quite as good without her.

We came home and gathered some photos and documents we got at Ellis Island when we were there to take to Max because he is doing a report on his great great grandpa who came over from Germany on a boat to live here.  Can't wait to read it when he is done.

Bill and I played 3-13.  It was a close game the whole time and the final hand was the deciding factor.  Last time we were so close, Bill won on the final hand.  This time it was me.  So much fun!

It was a great day!  I woke up thanking God for the breath of life in us still as we woke up.  Now I am thanking God for the family and friends he has given us, and all He did today.  He is so good all the time!

When I got up to wake Jacob up, he was already up.  Eli got up right after him.  I made eggs, bacon and toast.  The boys said it was good.  I was happy they ate good before Jacob was in the parade and Eli went to it with Aunt Vikki.  We left at 10 a.m. for Sanford to take Jacob to play his clarinet in his school's marching band in the parade.  Eli stayed at our house, and Vikki picked him up at 11.  Vikki sent us a video of Jacob in the parade which was so nice of her as we really wanted to see him.

Bill officiated Tamera and Dennis's wedding and did a really wonderful job.  They were very nice.  The food was amazing!  We sat at a table with the groom's brother.  He told me he was from Marlett, so I asked him if he had ever been to BayShore.  He had been there a few times.  I asked him if he knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior and he said yes.  We shared a lot about Jesus and the Bible and had a good talk.  We ate and the food was delicious.

When we got home, we read our Bibles.  Melissa, Bruce and the boys came over for a visit.  We had lots of fun, then we decided to go to Freeland to get ice cream.  Jack and Evan wanted to ride with us.  We were happy about that.  We all agreed it was the best ice cream around.  They were really big cones for being a YUM!

I went to Melissa's afterward and transplanted her peace plant so it will be easier to water and won't wilt as fast.  She helped me and also showed me to use alcohol wipes to get sticky stickers off.  It worked better than goo be gone.

Vikki called me to let me know Kimmy's boys were spending the night and going to go to Matthew's baptism tomorrow morning.  I'm happy they are coming and know Matthew will be very happy.  Eli went to our church to play games with the youth group with Peyton and Isaac.  They all had so much fun.  Eli wants to go the next time they have game night.
Kimmy and Jared did some sparkling and painting at Vikki's.  They are always helping everyone get things done.  They sure are huge blessings to us all.

Friday, 9/9/22, Canned 24 quarts of tomatoes, Bill found a new zero ton lawn tractor, Went to see LifeMark, Jacob and Eli are spending the night, FaceTimed with Hailey

Washed the tomatoes, then began the process of canning them

Canned 24 quarts of tomatoes from our garden.  Everyone sealed!  Yay!
Eli is spending the night!  Yay!
Jacob is spending the night! Yay!

We ate breakfast, then read our Bibles and did our devotions.  Bill went to get the Faith Riders banner from Vicki Beemer because she texted us and said it was in a tube on her porch.  When he got there it was just an empty pvc pipe.  Wes did the same thing.  I went to drop off some veggies from the garden to Lisa and her mom.  I called Bill and he asked me to meet him, Charlie, and Sue at Tim Hortons.  I had to get back to get started on the tomatoes, so couldn't meet them.  It took a long time, but got the tomatoes all done.  Always a great feeling when you see them on the cupboard all sealed and looking beautiful.  Cleaned the kitchen up, then took my shower and got ready to go to the movie.  We stopped at Subway and got subs before the movie.  I had a Turkey Cali with bacon and avocado.  It was delicious.  We met Wes and Gayla and Barb and Ron at the movie, so we could sit together.  We also so Deb and Marty Roth there and talked to them for a while. Ginny, Eric and Daniel sat behind us, so we got to talk to them for a few minutes too. It rolled through the previews 2 1/2 times, then finally the movie started.  The movie was so good and very touching.  I sent my two leather jackets home with Barb with a CMA patch for each of them.  She does a great job sewing patches on.  Jared dropped Jacob and Eli off to spend the night.  Bill has a wedding in Beaverton, so we are dropping Jacob off in Sanford for the parade.  Eli will go to the parade with Vikki and she will bring them both home.  Adam has a soccer game by Detroit tomorrow, so Kimmy and Jared are taking Adam to that.  Hailey FaceTimed me and we had a nice time talking.  She and her cousins talked some too and so did papa.

Our steak dinners at Texas Roadhouse were the best ever!
Bill told me this was my wedding present lol!

We got up early and met Alec, Maddy and Brielle at Nori's for breakfast.  It was so nice getting together with them as it has been quite a while with our camping trip and all the tings we've had going on.  Kimmy called and she and Vikki had picked up coffees for us and donuts, so they were at our house trying to surprise us early, but we weren't there.  The surprise was on them lol.  Of course we headed right home to see them and get our donuts and coffee.  YUM!  We ate at the table, then went outside and sat on the deck for a while.  Kimmy was helping Vikki move and plant plants in her new yard.  It sure looked great when they were done.  Bill and I went to take the extra donuts to Melissa, Bruce and the kids.  She had just left to take Max to school, so we missed her.  We had a nice visit with Bruce though.  After we left there, we went to walk through the new furniture store.  They had some pretty things, but nothing we really needed.  After we left there, we walked around J.C. Penney's and Macy's.  Bill bought me a couple of tops and a pair of sandals for next year that were on sale for $9.  We came home to read our Bibles and to see Kimmy when Vikki dropped her off.  Vikki was in a hurry to go pick up the kids and Kimmy had to leave right away, so I'm glad we had a good visit earlier.  Bill and I went to Texas Roadhouse right after it opened so we could get a booth right away and have it not be real crowded.  Bill asked if they did anything for anniversaries and our waitress said they did. He and I were thinking free dessert, but what they did was call a group of workers over to announce the Schaard's 49th anniversary, and had everyone YEEHAW with them.  I thought we were married long, but a little while later, the booth behind us had a couple they did it for who were celebrating 60 years.  We told them happy anniversary on our way out.  Our meal was simply scrumptious.  It's my favorite place to eat.  Bill suggested filling our car with gas because it was 3.49 and other places we had passed was 3.99.  I told him we should check the new gas station that said they would always be cheapest and another cheap one right down the road from that one.  They were both 4.00.  Yikes!  He took my car through the carwash, then we went back to Sam's and got gas.  Big savings!  I let Vikki know and she came and got gas and took me home afterwards. I called Kimmy to let her know Costco had gas for $3.49.  I picked the tomatoes and cherry tomatoes, plus a few cucumbers and also a few beans.  Bill hauled the bushel baskets up to the house for me.  Tomorrow I will be canning tomato juice.  We watched a movie called "Prayer Never Fails" before going to bed.  It certainly was a fun and blessed day!  Jacob, Adam and Hailey all texted me Happy Anniversary to Papa and I.  Such sweet grandkids!
