Monday, 3/11/24, Nice sunny day with a high of 58 degrees, Cleaned out stuff in my closet, went to ABC Warehouse, went to the Dollar Store, went to Alta, cooked on stove for the first time,

Two visitors today. Gobble One and Gobble Two
A surprise Crocus out by the shed deck I found today.  I didn’t plant it.  So beautiful though!
Big Friend on the tree trunk
I put suet out and Woody found it right away.

Bill left to meet Charlie.  I decided to sleep in and slept until 9:30.  I got up and decided to clean and rearrange my side of the closet.  Then went to cleaning my night stand by my side of the bed.  Got rid of some things I didn’t use anymore.  I made a coffee and had breakfast.
I ate light which was good, because Bill brought me a yummy blueberry muffin home.  I did two big loads of laundry.  I read my Bible and also did my devotion for Easter.  Bill got home and read too.  He went out and swept out the shed, and then ran the motorhome for a little while.  I went to ABC Warehouse and let the guy who helped us with the stove and microwave know the stove has a tiny piece of styrofoam in between the glass of the oven window.  They are sending someone out to either replace the door or fix it.

It was super windy today, so the stove box out on the front porch kept blowing and made our ring doorbell go off lots.  Bill was trying to disable it because it was so annoying.  I ended up going out and moving the box to the end of the porch and that took care of the problem.

I looked online and read the manual to my microwave.  Learned some things.  This one is more complicated than my other one, but now I have it down.  I made scrambled eggs with potatoes for dinner, and cooked on my new stove for the first time.  It worked great.  I used the warm burner to keep it warm while I buttered the toast.

Sunday, 3/10/24, went to prayer, than church service, out to lunch with Jeff, Debbie and Lisa, over to Vikki’s to take the microwave and have chili

New Deacons prayed over by our elders.  Bill 4th from the right
New deacons, other deacons in front with them, elders behind them. They all have great hearts for the Lord and doing God’s will.  We are blessed at New Life
Bruce and Melissa used our trailer today to go pick up this beautiful table and chair set they found on Facebook Marketplace.  It’s so nice and has two leaves.  Just what Melissa has been looking for for a very long time.

I got to see these two sweet grandkiddos tonight.

I was surprised to see all of the show when I woke up this morning.  Yikes!  Then we lost an hour of sleep because of the time change.  Never like springing ahead.  I read my Bible before church.  We went to prayer, then went to our church service afterward.  It was Celebration Sunday, with 2 baby dedications, 6 baptisms and lots of people becoming new members.  The worship was awesome and Pastor Ken did an amazing job presenting scripture, doing the dedications, reading the testimonies of those getting baptized, and explaining why membership is so important.  We had yummy cookies afterwards to celebrate.  We went to lunch with Jeff and Debbie Davis and Lisa L. afterwards to Coty’s.  Kim and Brad were there having lunch on a date.  We ran into them there in the same booth last time we were there.  When we got home, we both took naps.  Then we read our Bibles more.

We warmed up our left overs from lunch and ate.  Then I talked with Melissa. I talked with Kimmy a couple of times.  She called so I hung up with Melissa, then called Melissa back twice.  Melissa said they had the highway by our road blocked off with big trucks.  We tried to find out what happened, and Bill finally found where there was an accident.  A 62 year old lady crossed the center line and hit a truck.  She died.  So very sad.  We prayed for her family.  Also praying for the guy she hit.  How awful.  It was pretty slippery this morning.Kimmy is working on fixing my blog so my pictures enlarge when you click on them.  I talked to Vikki too, and Bill said we could take the microwave to her now.  She said she had just made chili and we could have some when we got there.  We got ready and went.  The chili was delicious and so was the bread the Kenzie made and gave to Vikki.  We sat and visited for a long time, then left for home.

Revhyn was so good at his Grammy’s but he sure was very happy being back home with his mommy.  Such a big smile.

Bill had to wear the birthday hat in my place today because I had to stay home to be here when the workers came.  He didn’t keep it on long.  Thankful a friend sent me the picture.
The workers started working at 9:15 and worked all day, other than making a quick run to Menards to pick up some things they needed for the job

Kitchen when we got home (we moved the microwave we’re giving to Vikki off the cupboard)
Microwave up and working, Stove has to be leveled after drywall patching is done behind it and painting is done.
Everything is so nice now!  They just have to finish hanging the door on one cupboard and putting the knobs on.  They are doing a great job!

Last night the power went out at 11 p.m..  Our electric blanket had been on, so we went to bed right away.  Happy it wasn’t a real cold night.  We kept a light on in the bathroom, so we would know when the power came back on.  In the night around 2:30, I heard the backup sump pump alarm go off.  Bill had earplugs in, so didn’t hear it.  I went down and checked the basement and everything was dry.  I turned the switch off and the alarm stopped, but it came on again before I got back upstairs.  I told Bill about it, but he said it would be ok.  I was wishing I had ear plugs in.  I finally went back to sleep, after praying and asking God to keep the water from overflowing.  Bill had me check the time and also check to see what time Consumers was saying the power would be back on.  They were saying it was coming back on at 6.  At 3:30, I noticed the light in the bathroom came on, so Bill and I got up.  I pushed the button sho the kernel burner would ignite again.  I heard a swish of water sound and I looked in the basement and noticed water by the doorway to the first room.  I told Bill and told him to put shoes on.  He went down and checked it out and it was only a small area around the floor drain.  The sump pump area was dry.  Everything was working fine Praise God.  We went back to sleep until 8.  Bill went to the Faith Rider’s Chapter meeting because he had things he had to share, and I stayed home because the workers were supposed to come at 9:30.  The guy has been coming two times now, so we didn’t think he would show up on time.  He was here 15 minutes earlier and had his worker with him.  They got busy right away and worked all day, except for two times they had to run and pick up something.  They weren’t gone long.  They did such a great job and worked til late.  They left sometime after we went to the hockey game.  They had the drywall patched and the microwave installed.  Everything looks great and they are almost done.

After Bill got home this morning, I called Vikki and went there to visit her and see Rehvyn and Peyton.  I got to see Isaac and Rody for a few minutes before they left.  Rehvyn sure smiles lots and is fun.  He got a little fussy, but then went to sleep pretty quickly.  He just wanted to rest.  We had fun taking pictures and watching him.  Peyton made him smile in the pictures for us.

I came home and they had got a lot more done.  Bill and I sat in the living room and read out Bibles and did our devotions.  Every now and then we would go check on their progress and sometimes they would call us out to ask us questions.   We got ready and went to the Hockey for Homeless Game.  A group from Faith Riders was there and our church group of 86 people were there.  We got hot dogs to eat and waters to drink.  Then we worshiped.  Very proud of our worship team.  The worship was amazing.  We all went in and sat together as a church group afterward.  A couple who are becoming members at church tomorrow, sat in front of us.  We introduced ourselves to them and talked for a few minutes.  Then I realized it was Peyton’s friend’s mom and dad.  Peyton had just been to their house for their daughter’s birthday party.

We came home and FaceTimed Melissa, Vikki and Kimmy (Adam got on to see too) and showed them the kitchen.  It looks so nice and it sure will be nice to have two big burners and a big oven.

Worked on my blog and then went to bed.  Set the clocks ahead.  Boo Hoo, we lose an hour.

Friday, 3/8/24, Kimmy came over, We met Melissa at Walmart, Vikki came over after work, went to dinner with Rich and Pat

My Crown of Thorns has blossoms on it.  Yay!  It hasn’t blossomed since the first year I had it.  There are more blossoms coming too.

Got up at 8.  Got ready, had a cappuccino, then read my Bible.  Bill was already reading his.  Did my Easter devotion.  I texted for a while with my sister Brenda.  Kimmy got here so we visited, she worked on my blog some trying to fix the settings, she sewed Rody’s jeans, then she ripped out the thread of the velcro that came with some curtain material in the camper.  We are making curtains to hand for extra room to change. They are nice because they are light weight, but you can’t see through them.  They match the curtains in the camper that pull across the bunk.  Bill, Kimmy and I ate PB&J sandwiches for lunch.  After lunch, we talked to Melissa and she met us at Walmart to get our over the counter stuff.  After that, I rode with Melissa and we followed Kimmy to the pet store, so Kimmy could get the kind of treats Melissa gets her dogs.  Melissa headed home after that, and Kimmy an I came home.  I saw on our Ring that Vikki got to our house.  I called her to let her know we were on our road and would be there in a minute.  Kimmy only had a few minutes before she had to leave to go get Adam.  Then Vikki and I had a nice visit.  She had PB&J’s too.  She stayed until it was time to go pick up the kids.   The guy was supposed to come at noon to do the electrical for our stove and microwave but called and didn’t come.  He is supposed to come at 9:30 tomorrow.  If he doesn’t, we are going to have someone else Rich and Pat told us about put it in.

At 4, we met Rich and Pat at UNO Chicago’s. It was raining pretty hard out so Bill let me off at the door.  I was thankful.  Bill and Pat got Chicken tenders, I got pizza and Rich got a Chicken Parmesan sandwich.  We all liked what we got.  We hadn’t gotten together for a long time, so we had fun catching up.  They are wonderful friends.  Rich had 3 different kinds of cancer and is doing great now.  We’re so thankful.  God gave him amazing doctors who loved Jesus and were excellent at what they do.  They would even pray with Rich and Pat.  It was still raining hard when we left, so Bill got the truck and picked me up at the door again.

Debbie called and talked to us tonight.  We told her she needs to go to Matthew’s church and go up for prayer.  He is in a Bible Believing church and they know the power of prayer and do things according to the Word.  She said she went a few weeks ago and really liked it.  We told her we would come over and anoint her with oil and pray for her too.  She is insisting on taking us out to eat for my birthday.  I’m saying no, we’ll take her but she has some stubborn Schaard in her.

I was happy to get more pictures from Hailey.  I am so happy she has so many great friends who love Jesus too!
