10/17/15

Bill was happy because Joel let him borrow his other Michigan hat while they were listening to the football game.  They played Michigan State.  They weren't smiling a few minutes later when their team lost at the very last minute.

Mckenzie came over and helped her papa put all the outside stuff away for the winter.  She sure was a great help.  She had to leave to go out with a friend.  I made her some squash while she was here. When she got here, I was just going to start making Kimmy and Vikki's Birthday cakes.  Kenzie loves to bake and wanted to make both cakes.  She is so much fun.  She made a yellow cake for her mom and wanted to lick the beaters but I told her not to.  She was pretty happy when she made an angle food cake for Aunt Kimmy and she could lick the bowl and beater.  She went outside to work after that.  We had to go to Logan's at 3 for dinner with Faith Riders.  I had grilled salmon, a baked potato and a salad.  Bill had meatloaf.  The food was great.  Afterward we went to Wes and Gayla's to play cards.  While we played, Bill watched the score and plays of the game on his phone.  On the way home we stopped at Kroger's to get meat and buns for sloppy Joe's.   Wished the girls happy birthday on Facebook at midnight.  Saw Vikki like the post so I got to call her and wish her happy birthday on the phone.

Made Meatloaf, Oven baked potatoes, and had homemade applesauce, squash and cream cheese covered grapes
Well, Kimmy came and I was still in bed this morning.  My alarm was turned off so I didn't wake up at 730 as planned.  Got ready quickly after I heard her knock at the door and let her in.  We had a nice visit and she started fixing my angel girl lawn ornament that Bill broke with the lawnmower.  She is doing a really nice job on it.  Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over too and we had a fun day.  I made egg salad for sandwiches and also cooked some squash.  Yum.  Kimmy went home with Vikki because their Aunt Debbie was taking them and Melissa out to Genji's to eat for their birthdays.  I made dinner and then Bill and I went to see the movie, Woodlawn.  It was a super good movie.  Very inspiring.  One Way, Jesus!!!!!  Hopefully people will go see this great movie and changes will happen in our nation with all that is going on these days.  Sure pray so.

10/15/15 Lori and I went to Vikki's house today

Lori and Isaac

Lori and Peyton

Peyton, Lori and Isaac

I picked Lori up from dialysis at 10 and we headed over to Vikki's.   Isaac and Peyton hugged me and then went right to Lori to give her a hug.  It was so sweet.  We visited for a while and then went to Applebee's for lunch.  I had talked Vikki into coming with us.  Rody watched Peyton and Isaac.  Vikki and I had the endless soup, salad and breadsticks.   Vikki asked the manager when he came to our table if we could have a plate of 6 breadsticks.  We were getting them one at a time.  The waitress came over and said she could bring us a plate of 6, but it would only cost 1.99.  We decided to just get them one at a time and save the $1.99.  After we were done, Vikki went home and Lori and I headed to Pine Haven to see Lila.  Lori didn't seem herself today.  She was quiet and seems sad.  Not her usual happy self, so pray for her.  I asked if she wanted me to take her home first because I was going right by her house, but she wanted to come with me.  When we got there, she told me she was just going to wait in the car but take as long as I wanted.  Lila had just left to go get her hair done in Hemlock.  Lila is 96.  Anyway, I took Lori home after that.  The color was beautiful on her road.  Came home and got my squash and kale out of the garden.  Weeded around part of the house too.  Then got ready and went to Louise's church for their annual turkey dinner.  It was delicious.  Sat with Dorothy, her neighbor Sue, and part of the time Louise.  A couple named Chuck and Sue sat with us too.  They were real nice.  Then a guy Bill worked with came and sat down and he and Bill had a nice time talking.

Angie got me this scents warmer when Debbie was visiting her so Debbie delivered it to me this morning with a surprise visit.  It is so nice and smells so good. I've got pumpkin spice in it right now.  Debbie was going to Baynes, so I asked her if she wanted me to go with her.  We went and had coffee, donuts, and a nice visit.  We bought some pies and headed back to my house.  Debbie said she was going to leave a pie on Vikki's porch.  She also cut pieces from her other two pies to deliver to Carol.  I went grocery shopping after that and got some gift cards.  They are 4x fuel points till Oct. 27th.  Came home and got ready for class and for the potluck before it started.
Made a cool whip dessert with mars bars cut up in it and apples cut up.  It was very good.
We had fun at our potluck. Such a fun group of people.  Class went well and we had fun too.  They are the most talkative kindergarteners and 1st graders I have had, but they are very cute.

10/13/15....

Went to our Tuesday morning breakfast.  There were 9 of us there.  Wes and Gayla are in Ohio, and Charlie and Sue are at the Shack so they weren't there.  Had prayer for Louise as she had a spell where she didn't feel well last night.  Please keep her in prayer.  Came home and did some cleaning and got things ready for care group.  Bill and I did our lesson together and watched the DVD.  It's such a good study we are doing.  Had 13 show up for care group.  It was a really good study with good discussion.  Watched the news and went to bed.

10/12/15

Emptied out the last of the stuff in the camper.  Then went to walk 2 miles at the Sports Zone.  Kimmy called me while I was walking and said she was going to be going to Vikki's at noon.  After I left, I went home and Bill put gas in my car for me.  Then I headed to Vikki's.  Melissa and Evan came shortly after I got there.  We had a nice time visiting and Vikki made yummy sandwiches for all of us.  Kimmy said Jared's dr. appt. went better today.  I was happy to hear that.  Came home and made chicken, baked potatoes, corn, kolarobi for supper.  We watched a Beethoven Movie on Netflix.

10/11/15 A fun motorcycle ride to Uncle John's Apple Farm in St. John with the Him Ministry and Faith Riders.

Long line to get in the barn in the background for donuts and cider.  Worth the wait though

Lots of good food places and fun things to do

I just finished my donut and cider.  Saving my caramel apple for home!

Greg, Kevin, Luis and Bill

Went to church.  Vikki and Rody and the kids were there.  Melissa and Bruce had to go to Bethlehem because the kids were singing in the choir.  I taught Sunday School.  The kids were so precious and were very good.  Came home and Bill washed the motorcycle and then we got ready and left for Meijers to meet as a group to ride.  My thermos water bottle bounced out of the cup holder on the way there so I have to get another one.  Tried to find it but couldn't.
Uncle John's Cider Mill was loaded with people on this nice day.  We had fun though.  Kevin and Vikki Beemer and kids came, Pastor Jeff and Catherine, Bill and Sabrina, Katelyn and Rocco, Linda and Dan, Greg Young, Luis, a couple of guys that go to Hopevale and have been to one of our Faith Rider's meeting and Bill and I.  13 bikes so a great turn out. Beautiful day and nice color.
